The biggest hair trend on tick tock - that is what today's video is going to be about, so there's no getting away from it. The what i like to call the mop top or the dead animal on your head look. It seems to be the biggest hair trend for guys or young men or people in the age range of i'd say like 13 to 23, or so everybody that watches tick, tock always talks about the hairstyles and a lot of these tick tock guys are all having Their hair either permed they're having the same haircuts, where literally i call it the mop top, it looks like a mop, is on their head. Some of it is an absolute mess. Their hair is fried bleached damaged, but it's i hate to say it. It'S the biggest hair trend. You know almost on the internet, but on tick tock, because it's just one of those things all these guys are becoming so popular. A lot of people want to look like them, be like them. So today this video i'm going to execute and break down how to achieve that. Look that haircut so follow along during the video and then i'll break it down at the end: uh [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ]. Ladies and gentlemen, here is the haircut, and what i want to do is just break down what i did. I did everything by hand. I didn't use any clippers whatsoever and what i did is i really focused on creating a shorter to longer type of haircut and type of flow in through here. The main thing about this haircut is that it has to go from looking very neat into looking, very, very messy, and that's how you can even explain it or describe it to your stylist or barber. Is that you want something kind of nice and tapered all done by hand, maybe an inch or so and half an inch to an inch, the most long throughout the length on the very very sides and the back the bottom back, and then it blends up gradually To where the top goes from about, you know three and a half inches to the very, very front here. Is you know down to about the bridge of the nose? Even though this is going upwards because of how we blow dried it? You know the length when you see a lot of these guys when their hair is wet or they're in the pool whatever it is. Their hair comes down to bad hair. It completely covers their eyes. So i'm sorry, i've been starting to see that, even though it looks like a complete mess on the top of their head, you know that's the that's the look that is the actual style of it. Just being this super crazy kind of tapered flow into an absolute like just mess where you can run your fingers to it, and you know it's got this really interesting shape. The key to the top is connecting the layers and making sure that every single hair is layered going into the very, very front sections: that's how you're able to get those pieces if the hair wasn't layered and it's all one length like say if this, for example, Was all the way down to the nose? It would just be so heavy and it wouldn't have the ability to flip and move around. That'S why the hair needs to be layered in order for it to have that kind of texture and that that movement throughout the entire thing, then what i did is i used my tidal wave sea salt spray, which is my number one selling product it's great for Giving texture it's great for trying to achieve a look like this and then the blow dry process. You know i kind of rough dried it to get some of the moisture and the water out, and then what i did is i use the blow dryer to bring and blow dry the hair flipping upwards this way, and then everything else is really just done by You know by hand right and a lot of the times. You see these guys. They go like this and they kind of just brush their hair forward and then all of a sudden you know oh wow. They have all these like crazy flips in the front, even though it looks like an absolute mess, you know, that's the whole look, so a lot of these guys are kind of running their fingers through it they're getting all this texture they're. Getting all these flips in through here and you know again, it's really either done by the way it's blow-dry the way it's cut. A lot of them are getting some perms, which you know. If your hair is super super straight, maybe a perm might be. You know it could be a good option, or else just get a good haircut. This is done on fully straight hair. This is a coal mannequin, the mannequin's name is cole and it's from pivot point international, so i highly suggest using their mannequins if you notice you're getting a lot more visual visuals today, because i'm using a new lens, which is an ultra wide lens - and i said, Oh, my gosh, this is so cool. You guys can kind of see a little bit of what goes on here, and this is just part of my studio. So let me know if you guys like this. I want to show me in the video a bit more of cutting and my technique and body position, and things like that, so i hope you all enjoyed it. Let me know in the comments below, if you enjoyed this video, don't forget to like comment and subscribe and i'll see you next time for more videos with a salon. Guy

r1_a: half of his videos he hates the hairstyles

tony vega: me clicks video: hey this hairstyle kinda looks like mine the salon guy: *absolutely roasts the shit out of it*

CallMeSlee: Fun fact: bald guys are the best at cutting/styling hair

Lonich: i like that he hates almost every hairstyle but he himself is bald

mr incredible: the barber styling hair: “i guide others to a treasure i can not posses.”

Ayayaya: Honestly I keep this hairstyle only because I have a large forehead, this helps hiding it

Fabian Alfonso: it's mind boggling how people wants to look exactly like someone who's famous. they think being famous brings us value. adoring someone's style is great and okay and all but there's nothing wrong to express your own style tho ♥

TokyoEditzz: This barber is the type of friend that gives you amazing advices but doesnt take them himself.

Swing66: I've always been under the impression that any length under 1 inch requires clippers. Is there an advantage to doing this cut (at least the sides/back) with scissors only?

Gssoonn: you should like do "tell the barber this" when you have done the hairstyle so we can easy say what we want and not show a video.

Alabama Jenny: You NAILED THIS! I looked up MOP TOP and this is the exact style MY SON ANS ALL HIS FRIENDS HAVE! It’s like a no style, Parted in center (sorta not) but not side sweep. Thank you.

Ethan Fernandes: Woah your cut is insane shout out to your barber dawg

Lee Allen: My boy has his hair cut like that but his hair is straight. So it just falls in his face.

John Pork: He’s guides others to a power he can’t possess

Silver Mont: Alright that’s the trend hun , I give you a tick tock hair cut ‍♀️ texture the top - dry it out messy and use a texture product voila !

sueders: If i were to ask my hair stylist to cut this , how would i go about explaining the hair style ?

ThatNerdIsCool: Does anyone else go to get these types of haircuts but the barber always botches it / makes it too short? Months of growth down the toilet

Okayyy - Chrisss: i have the same hairstyle and i don’t go through the pain of doing all that everyday lmaoo i just run my hands through my hair a few tines

CKBroski: I've had this haircut since 2018, and its honestly done me good. Hair is such a weird thing and most styles I try look bad...

Aniket Singh: Great video. Can you tell which products should be used to keep hold a dry hairstyle , cause whenever l style my hair dry, it takes on flow of wind to ruin it.(fir wet hairstyle, gel does the trick, and keeps the style in place)

Somebody: I’ve had this type of hear for years now. It’s just so easy. I hop out the shower and dry my head with a towel. That’s it. I can leave it messy and I don’t have to worry about it. I honestly didn’t even know it’s a popular hairstyle until I saw this video.

YeetMyFeet: What hair products should you use to get this if you have super fine, frizzy, straight hair?

I am very cool: I think either bald, not cutting your hair for months or takuache cut is most popular in hispanic homes

Joshua Meraz: How would you keep your hair like that would it eventually get used to the hair and stay like that or will you need to constantly spray it and do many processes every day?

_Ixtinct_: The amount of money I would pay for this man to cut my hair.

Beck Ostlund: hey man. when you ask the barber for your hair to be layered. what's a right way to ask that? "can you just layer the top?" or "can you layer every part of the top of my hair?"

Joaquin Dela Torre: idek like this hairstyle but if he was my stylist my life would be perfect

Bruno: Could you do a tutorial for Hugh Grant in 4 weddings and a funeral? Thanks man, you’re awesome!!!!

CameronWynn✞✞: This helps me a lot and the thing that makes me a lot more happy is that I have natural curly hair loll

Ian Quesada Albertazzi: I love when the styler has no hair.

Strapping Young Ladam: I still think these tik tok cuts look like they stopped their barber halfway through the cut and called it a day Also sadly I wasn't able to reach my 2 year growth goal. I'm re-entering the job market and wanted to play it safe for interviews since I'm in the professional world so I cut a vast majority of my hair off. The plan when I get my next job is to ask if they have any issue with long hair and start over.

GeorgetheHalfScott: You can tell he hates the haircut because he hits the model in the face 7:51 XD

Joshua: The hair style guy he roasts the shit out of it lol

TimelordUK: Please can you show us how to style a centre parting, both where the hair just separates down, and the alternative way where clients say they have a centre parting and blow it back. I never know how to do this and it always looks a mess or they say nice cut but that's not how I style it

Sippin187: So how do you want your hair to be cut I want my hair to be cut so it looks like I haven’t had my hair cut for 6 months

Lucas Bowman: I feel like he’s judging me for watching this video.

Jorge Vera: og’s know that he’s been rocking those small shirts since the beginning

Quaxkzzz: my favorite part of this guy is hes bald and hes soooo good with hair lmao

Nalin Dilshan: How lucky are these dummy heads to be hair-dressed by him him

Raphael Galang: This hair is like the default hairstyle in those games, but irl

Derek Flores: I had this hair style before I knew this was a thing, I just found it out cause I hated having straight hair, so I just took a shower without drying my hair.

Samuel Morris: So pretty much just push your hair forward and use some light product to have the flip effect and messiness.

mark kevin guanlao: Hi #TheSalonGuy, I just wanna ask what is type of faceshape is this and what best haircut? I think we have the same faceshape.

Samix: 3:49 for the people needing this after you've showered

Brian Leister: But how long did it take for Cole to grow his hair out?

WØLFGØDkz Goat: I love how he doesn’t like the hairstyle at all LMAO

Manu Gomez: Finally a mannequin’s hair that looks like mine! (Not talking about the hairstyle)

Mii Entertainment: This trending control these apps have on this generation is crazy. No wonder the government feels so good to them.

Jake Smith: what's the mannequin's tiktok?

Amanda Faries: The accuracy of this video triggers me

Tom George: As always very informative. Both in how to do it and how you don't like it ;-)

Hurricane Shane: What can you put in your hair to make it stay like this all day?

Caden Jones: I’m just happy I was rocking it before everyone one else

Hilmey Azman: Can I have a barber like you, I'm tired of getting disappointed by Asian barbers

RayMarkusTV: This is basically my "hairstyle" every time I wake up, lol. And I hate it. Anyways good video.

Kyle McLean: how do i send this to my hairstylist without sending it to my hairstylist lol?

oliver sandberg: Is it only me or, but my hair gets stuck into the comb

322: I’ve had this hair style my whole life and was made fun of all though school and now everyone biting my swag smh side note I never wanted this look I always wanted straight long emo hair but would freeze up and I never used gel or hairspray because girls would grab my hair and I thought fluffy is better then it feeling crusty lol

Salon Success Academy: Love this tutorial! Thank for sharing!

OkayOk: What would you call the hairstyle at 3:50 ? It's pretty much the final form of the hair before going crazy with the blow-drier, what would I ask for if I wanted that look?

kennyshka rodriguez: How to I explain my hair stylist that this is exactly what I want

Ben Sortore: How do I explain this to them lmao

jabroni master: Great video Stephen!!! . Do you know how to make a slicked back hairstyle wavy?

nowah: What would you ask your barber to get this cut?

Mark: quick question the back of my head is flat not too much but def noticeable. i wanna grow my hair out but i have a cowlick right at the top of my head where the back and top meet if that makes sense so when the hair grows on the back of head it literally just goes straight down like a water fall and then curls around my ears. Any tips to make that grow fuller

bRUCE xU: the literal embodiment of "Do as I say, not as I do"

Jarod La lassi: I have a huge question that I can never figure out, would I go bald or loose hair if I wore a loose hat almost every day?

Rollings: Only legends know that this is 3rd video about this hairstyle

Christian rodriguez: Yo that’s fire, this is what I want every time and they end up cutting my hair super short every time

zZ Plorin Zz: 4:30 Vejo altos jovens estilosos com o cabelo assim e me pergunto "Caralho ,como deixa o cabelo assim e ainda paradinho?"

Luca B: When the mannequin is better looking than you

XYZ Pictures: the only bald guy i'd trust with my hair

WoT Memes: the haircut you get when you wake up of 15 hours of sleeping

Alec Vlogs: Please do a Curran Walters (Jason Todd from Titans) hair tutorial

Log Coop: How did literally not doing your hair become a trending hairstyle?

Boiz Akhter: Thank you sir you know all trending hair style and tik tok styles dammm love your work

Seb Felix: How are you so good at styling hair :0

NotFunny: So basically they made it wet and just curled it with that brush? I thought it was more complicated than that

Iván Contreras: THANK GOD. Love it!

TIM MAURICE: Business in the back, party in the front... it’s basically a reverse mullet ‍♂️

: Doing this for my brother wish me luck If I mess up I'm so dead lmao

Shawn Qi: POV: you have straight hair and ur very confused how u can do this

felix !: i could do this ,, but my hair is literally so straight. so after about 10 minutes of it being like this - it'd flop and become straight again :(

júlioznX: I'm Brazilian, I would like to know if the mannequin's hair is straight or wavy and what type of straight and wavy it is

unititled: this is how my hair looked before even musically was a thing

Twinkylez: Omg I've been wanting to have this hairstyle, and I cut my long hair , HOW HAVE I NOT KNOWN ABOUT IT??!?!?! NOOOOO

Randomjoshuaa: I already know if i ask for this they just gonna make my hair super short and i end up hating it

Name user: Man you are very talented, good job.

HJDG: Hey Steve, can you do the youtuber Browney's haircut please?

Jamie Marshall: He guides others to a treasure he cannot possess

qeupz: i just still have a side part and want a different hair style

SalitSooty123: who knew that a bald man would be one of the best person to do hair

Justin Phy: I actually like this hairstyle, messy suffer vibes

Barcode x: What would be a good cut for someone with thick ass hair. I usually slick my hair back. Im used to going to barbershops and just asking for a taperfade but i wanna try going to a salon for once.
