Hey guys, it's Phaedra from all things, Phaedra and maybe not the most flattering angle, but guess what, when you're over 40, there aren't many flattering angles. So what do you do to make yourself feel better when you are an over 40 woman? Well, first thing you do. Is you eat right and you exercise, but I don't do either of those? Let'S be honest, that's why you're here, because you don't want the sensible logical way you want to know how to make yourself look better and feel better in one easy step. Well, there are a couple of steps that will help and the first one is girl, let's put on some makeup, so just a little bit of makeup to make my eyes come back to life, make my eyebrows stand out. But what about this hair long, hair good for a woman over 40? Well, it can be, but it depends on the type of hair that you have now. I have fine thin hair and, as you can see, I've got some color going on, which is growing out and I've got some grays coming in. So this is where we're going to talk about making one simple change and see what a difference it makes so step. One is to Google some hair styles for people, your age, your face, shape your hair type, so I have fine hair, thinner, hair. I have more of an oval face, so I looked at all different styles. Then the next thing you need to do is you need to get a really good hairstylist. So if you don't have one ask somebody in your area who has really great hair or find someone that which is a pretty good amount of money, because I find you typically get what you paid for. I'Ve actually been going to the same hair salon for several years with the same hairstylist, and it's right here in this cute little section of Maryland called Ellicott City, which you may have seen on the news a few years ago, actually just last year with the flooding. This whole area was flooded and literally underwater. Luckily, my salon is still standing and it's a cute little place in a building that was built. I think in the 1700s and I'll show you inside what it's like here. We are at env salon and let's head on in for the transformation. The other thing I recommend when you're looking for a new hairstyle is when you find things that you like: stick it on a Pinterest board and then you have something to show your stylist. If you've got the right, stylist and she'll look at all these photos and you really start to understand what it is. If you're looking for up on the top floor at my stylist station - and we had a nice long talk about what is here, I showed her all my Pinterest images and I think she gets it. We'Re gon na go with a cooler color we're gon na go with the shorter length and basically she's just gon na make me look fabulous just finished up at the salon. You can see it behind me and we did a lot in terms of length in terms of color and it may be a little bit blonder than I intended. But the great thing is: it's gon na grow out and the blonde will be more concentrated at the ends, which is what I like. Now I get to go home in the Striz Lee weather and play around with it and see what I really think. Overall final results guys so here's what I did. I had her go darker at my roots, a cooler shade of brown to match my my normal hair color, and then I had her add in some blonde and make it a cooler shade of blonde. She said it might take, a couple tries to get it really cool, because I had a very warm shade of blonde before and the only thing I did was. I showed her a lot of photos of some very blonde hairstyles and I didn't tell her that I was showing her the hairstyles, not necessarily the hair color, so we're a little bit blonder than I liked. But overall it's got so much more body just from lightening it up. She gave me a few layers. I can actually flip it under. If I want, I can flip it out. If I want - and it's still long enough, I could put it in a baby ponytail.
