Hi guys welcome back to my channel in today's video we're going to be talking about five hair trends or things that you're doing with your hair that are dating you. I'M gon na go over a few categories from color to part to cut, but, as you guys know, i started offering a virtual consult last year and in doing so one of the bigger questions is always like. How do i update my hair? What am i doing wrong? I want a fresh new look. How do i get there so anytime? Something does come up. Often. I tend to take notes because i feel like by making a video and telling my audience it's going to help a much broader range of you. Also, if you like to book a consultation with me, all you have to do is email consultations.com, and i will leave that in the description box down below as well, but yeah, let's just dive right into this video. So the first category i'm going to be talking about is color. Now, there's not a specific color, necessarily like a shade of red or a shade of brown or blonde. That'S going to age you what can date. You is more the placement of the color and there are two things that could be aging you, so the first one is too stripy or too contrasty of color. Now, if you love contrast, there's definitely ways to add contrast to the hair so that you have beautiful dimension without it looking stripy. So the first thing is you never want that same contrast that you have up here to come all the way through meaning you always want the ends to be more solid. Now, of course, they don't have to be blonde ends, but basically your lightest shade in through this mid section here, should absolutely be the solid form kind of at the ends. Another place you don't want to see. A ton of contrast is at the roots at the roots. You want a soft transition into your color, meaning if you were to only look at say the first inch of color. It almost looks like solid one color, as opposed to highlights or kind of a stricter look, so slightly darker soft roots than whatever color you kind of want through your midsection and then more importantly, your ends should be at least 75 of the brightest color that you Have so if you do like dimension even through the ends, you can still have some of that, but the dimension that you have through your ends should never be as dark as what you have up at your roots, all right. Next category is cuts, and again this is one i get all the time. It'S like. I keep cutting my hair to update it and it keeps looking more dated. What am i doing wrong, and this typically is when you just have way too much layering. Now we all know the beauty that layers can bring to the hair can bring volume it can bring attention to specific areas and features of the face, but just way too choppy layers just looks more dated. So if you're looking to update your hair, i would recommend few layers around the face, but a more solid look in the back. This is also going to complement your color, so much more beautifully alright number three and this one can be a little bit controversial and that is to have like big bouncy waves all the way through your ends. Now, if you were to see a 19 year old with this hair, of course, it wouldn't age her. But basically this was a wave, a trend, that's either more classic or was more in at least five to seven years ago. So say, if you are in your late 20s and over by wearing this look, it looks like you have a look that you've probably had for five to seven years, because that's a huge part of kind of following trends and looking fresh, i'm a big believer. In always doing what works best for you for your face, shape for your skin tone, so don't ever be a victim to a trend. You should absolutely want to kind of reinvent and freshen up your look to look current. That will always make you look fresh and younger. I think today we are so focused on botox and anti-wrinkle cream and all the stuff that physically, i think, makes you look older, and i think one of the easiest ways to look freshened up is to look more with the times. So again, this one is a little bit of matter of preference, but as a hairdresser, i do feel that this style does look very dated, and the reason for that is the trends with hair. It'S all about a softer root, a lived-in color, more laid-back kind of beachy vibe, but keeping the ends of the hair. A little more relaxed gives it that modernized look a little more all right. The next one is for bangs, and this is the thin slash kind of wispy bang. It looks very late, 90s and again, if you're 19 and wearing this look, it looks fresh on you because guess what you've never lived through the trend when it first came around. But if you have shorter hair and shorter wispy bangs, it just gives the illusion of not thick luscious hair, and one thing about looking fresh and useful is always having like this appearance of abundance of hair. So all you really need is kind of like a tweaking of the haircut, but adding a little bit more hair, a little bit more fullness to the bangs. It'S just going to make that hair. Look just so much healthier and in turn make you look healthier brighter and a fresher, and this is completely regardless of the color, which brings us to my last point, which is roots and again it's a matter of opinion, whether you want to embrace your gray hair. I think gray hair can absolutely be done in a very youthful chic way, but what i'm talking about here is roots. So what you never want is to have say brown, hair and gray roots that will age you far more than if you had all over gray. Now i said the previous tip was the last one, but we're just going to talk about one more bonus category, and that is your hair part. Now i feel like in the last year or two there's been a lot of talk about gen z, saying that the only part is the center part and that millennials need to get rid of their side part and far beyond millennials. I do feel that women, typically after a certain age, will typically go to a more side swept part. I get that it's probably easier to add more volume. Basically, this category is more of a tip, but that is to just play around with your part. You'D be surprised at just how refreshing a center part can be if you've not had one for years, and it might take a little more manipulation. But you can absolutely get volume up at the front near the face where it is necessary, while still having a center part and sometimes a side part can just fall so flat on the head that it's almost harder to add volume that way so yeah. These were very simple, very basic tips that can just really revamp your haircut and style. So if you like this type of video, give it a thumbs up, if you would love more of a series on this topic, definitely happy to do more if you're still here and you haven't yet - please go ahead and click that red subscribe button yeah. I hope this video has been helpful if there are any areas of your hair that you're looking to kind of update and you're kind of stuck go ahead and ask me down below and i'd be happy to give you my suggestions, so yeah i'm out of breath. It'S really hot, but thank you guys so much for watching. I love you and i'll see you in the next one also, this cut style needs to die and just never come back. Bye, guys.

angellynn261: I have long hair and wear big curls and waves all the time. It's my signature look and I get compliments every day. Age how you want. Wear your hair and makeup how you want. Not all beauty advice is the best for everyone. The older I get, the less I care about what others think.

Stephanie Vincent: My life is easy, I just wear what I want and do my makeup/hair how I want, and don't pay attention to trends or give a hoot about my age. Aging is beautiful.

Saint Cloud Nursery: Your part should compliment your face, not everyone can do a middle part, not everyone has the symmetry or bones for it. I think it's less trend or "dated" than simply working with what you have...maybe that dates me.

Terry Peters: To be honest, I get very tired of hair trends and I think following them is what makes people look dated. There was that time everyone had the caramel highlights, the wavy lob with the straight ends, then the super long waved extensions, etc. It’s as though one generation’s style is chosen to be “It” and everyone else is considered out of step. It would be great to hear about styles for different hair types and face shapes, low vs high maintenance and so on without reference to trends. (But maybe I’m the only one…)

Claudia Acha: Aging is amazing because we don’t care about trends anymore or what anyone else thinks!

Terri Watson: I get really tired of 20yr olds trying to tell 50yr olds what to do in order to stay trendy. When you get older your hair starts to thin so not all of us can do a middle part. Also, yes we know trying to grow out your gray hair sucks but you have to go through that pain of the roots to get it done. Telling us we look old doing it is just insulting. Please do another video on this when your 50.

Bobbi Jones Tarot: Increased age can increase foreheads and thinning. Side parts circumvent needing bangs to camouflage. Also a center part elongates the face, so if maturation is causing drooping center parting is probably not the move. Having a signature look is always a toss up with being current IMO. No right or wrong.

Mary Buller: I think it's funny that a middle part, mom jeans, and the music I grew up with are all things that are back. Alanis Morissette would probably ask "Isn't it ironic?" ;)

hdb80: How about we all just do what we want, what we like, and what makes us feel good. There are NO rules, and if someone doesn't like it, then that's on them. Live your life!

Leticia Vasquez: The whole no layers goes against the shag trend This whole video is super ageist. Ageing means doing whatever the heck you want and looks good on you and or makes you feel good surely! Jane Fonda looks amazing at any age. Using her as an example is nuts. Whats the obsession with "looking younger". Embrace your years on earth. It beats the alternative!

Jane Smith: Other than the gray roots and curls to the ends, every single thing that you mentioned are things that I love in hair - the stripey look, the side part, wispy bangs, and lots of layers (especially for my super-thick hair). To each her own I guess.

Andrea Martin: Almost everyone I have seen looks cuter in a side part. The middle part just looks plain Jane to me! I’m hanging on to my side part!

Sharon Lezama: I also think an off center part might be ok however not many people are symmetrical enough to pull off an exact center part - and unfortunately as you get older, you get less symmetrical

Monica Aguilar: The heavy layers are super back for alternative styles such as the shag or the wolf cut. Also heavy roots with a contrast at the top are a hot trend with the younger crowds. This video should be called: "how to uniform everyone with a plain, boring look". Be yourself and don't be afraid to try things. Hair grows back.

M Brewer: Trendy vs what looks best on me? I'm going for what looks best on me. Sometimes that means it will be trendy and sometimes not. I can never wrap my mind around how people are such slaves to the trend police that they wear hairstyles and clothing that does not look good on them. Are we really letting condescending young kids dictate what part we have? Or anything else as far as that goes. (Supposedly now they are saying nobody should wear blonde hair anymore ‍♀️) I would rather look good than trendy. Everything comes back in style anyway in time, lol. I love my side part. It's more forgiving. And dark roots are too high maintenance if you are fighting grey hairs. So I will also stick to some highlights around the roots. But, I will say you are very beautiful and I envy your hair!!

EscapePlanBelieve: A person of the late 60' - '70s would be reliving a trend if they went back to the middle part.

Distinctively Stylish: I'm in my mid 40's and have tried a center part a few times but due to a few hair cowlicks right up front it doesn't work for me personally. I think each individual, their face shape and hair type is more the deciding factor than trends when comes to what looks good/younger on each person. And honestly as long as I feel good about me, really that's all that matters I really don't think you meant that anyone should do or change something if they already feel great about their style/hair though. I did appreciate the recommendation regarding hair color, so thanks.

Rose Lucht: Who cares, I wear my hair straight below shoulder length, I can wear it up or down I could care less what people think, it looks good. I’m 70 and aging is beautiful

Kim Wold: No, actually I have much more volume with my side part, I hate how my hair falls with a center part, volume on one side and completely flat on the other, a center part is a no no for me

Breanna Lee: This is exactly what I was looking for. Been thinking of updating my look lately as I’ve had the same side part, curly/wavy hair trend since high school these middle parts look gorgeous and I want to try it with a more soft blowout type style. Thanks for the video!

CocoPink44: There is nothing wrong with aging. Where you hair how you want for yourself.

Simple Nail Designs: Great tip! I’m at a point in my life where I’m embracing my grey hair ❤️

Xanne Xanne: Thank you for this. I’m a Cosmo too and I’ve been trying to tell my clients these exact words of wisdom. Now I can just have them watch this as part of their consultation! ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️

Lisa Matteo: As a hairdresser myself, I completely agree with you. Also, I hope you’re feeling well!! Xoxo

Jeanette Dombroski: I agree wholeheartedly but wouldn’t be me without side part.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sarah Gumball: This was great thank you! I just did my hair color yesterday and after watching this I feel better about how it turned out ❤️ I would love to have your opinion and advice though so I’ll have to email you

Marianne Donato: As someone who is about 50% grey but only at my crown I find a side part helps to hide that so I don’t have to touch up as often. Also, I have an injured part of my scalp at the front of my head so a center part is out! Question, as far as root touch ups for grey, where I am a natural level 7, I use a 7a, 8nn mixture and then do foil highlights, do you have any advice for those who have to touch up roots but don’t want to refresh highlights every time, mostly for damage sake? I want to keep the blonde bright but if I don’t highlight every single time I feel like it’s a bit more lackluster. Thanks!

Tina K. Fournier: I was wondering about a solid colour from root to end in regards to aging. I agree with everything you said in this video. You have to be a tough cookie to handle the criticism from those who care to let you know they disagree with you. Keep up this amazing education!

MKG: Middle part and no curls= 67 year old trying to look 25=fail IMO. Been there in the 60s, done with that.

Bea Mann: I have contemplated going natural by no longer dying my grays. What is the best way to go about this without having the roots gray and brown hair?

Deadly Moonlight: Girl I already have a grey hair and I’m 26 gonna be 27 next year. It’s bound to happen. I’m not worried bout my grey hairs, it gets me closer to having white hair sooner or later and I’ll be able to color my hair all types of colors without needing to bleach it

mem68sf: This was super helpful. I felt last time I had my hair highlighted it looked very dated and I couldn’t put it into words as to why. Now I know.

Nancy Trobaugh: such good advice! I'm 58 and am following all these tips and they make a huge difference. And yes I love a middle part! : )

LauraSimmer96: I get the same hair cut every time my side part isn't going anywhere. My layers & V cut in the back isn't going anywhere either. My hair is very long & thick. If I don't have it cut that way, its too heavy & I want to keep as much length as possible. I'm about to have a good 7 inches or so cut off soon though. It'll still be long, just not where I'm sitting on it

maria hebert: Couldn’t agree more with everything you said. Being 58 I love your videos to help me stay current. Now if I could just find a good stylist where I live! Love your last statement about the short style that should “die” I’m not sure why it ever was a style in the first place!

Aamanda271: What do those of us do that don’t have Greys that start at the roots, but instead just random full strands of grey/white hair sporadically throughout? I’m 32 and don’t want to dye my hair (naturally black but technically a super dark brown), but my white full strands take forever to pull out lol

Katie Pray: I love that this advice is very solid without focusing too heavily on trends. It is advice that will hold up through the years. Thank you!

mechelle vaughan: Thanks for sharing your knowledge with those of us who don’t know what the heck were doing. ...... For the most part I’ve had it done in a chair and just am not able to afford it anymore the last color job I did had me looking like Ronald McDonald . So, you completely saved the day yesterday on what box dye to use . Thankfully I’m happy with the results. Once again, thanks for sharing your knowledge. So very kind of you. Blessings

Michelle Janetis: GREAT. I just had my hair done again for the first time since we began lockdown. It was practically virgin hair, it had grown out SO MUCH. My stylist gave me a full head of highlights (thankfully very thin at the very least) but I also felt this appeared somehow outdated as everyone now has balayage) not to mention it looked GRAY in the selfies I took when I got home. It looked amazing in the lighting at the salon for being what it is - a full head of highlights!! Can you tell me why this might be and also what I can do now to correct this, if anything?? Also, I inquired about adding a body wave to my roots for some lift because my hair seriously lacks volume and always falls flat. I don't care WHERE I go to get my hair done ( and I spend $$$ on my hair ) but anywhere I've gone (after 20+ years going to the same stylist, we parted ways over my being late to my last few appointments - he fired me as a client!!!) it always feels like I show pictures of color I like/want and it seems to go in one ear and out the other with the stylist going ahead and giving me whatever they've been doing anyway. Is this possibly because of the fact I've been friends or acquaintances with these guys for so many years??? I paid $275 for my "outdated" full head of highlights and that was HALF PRICE!! HELP.

Lea Green: After years of dying my hair a medium brown, I am finally ok with graying and have adjusted my color so it’s growing in easily. I have a chunky gray money piece that disappears in a center part. I take that as a message on where my part should fall because it is so cool looking.

00 00: If you are doing a look that was really trendy years ago it's always going to age you. This is because women often stick to the styles and fashions from their youth so that look is associated with the middle aged. Trends do cycle but there are subtle changes each time.

S Darby: I always had a center part, but sadly my once beautiful (at least it was beautiful to me) long hair thinned quite a bit when I suffered a serious illness and continued to thin as I got older. It's pretty devastating, even though I know, it's just hair. Anyway I had to start parting my hair on the side because a middle part shows the thinning. The only way to camouflage it is with a pretty deep side part. I hate it! I would love to be able to part my hair in the middle. I think there are probably many women like me who have to part their hair on the side to hide thinning.

Salvi_1: Great advice, I appreciate the tips. I do notice when I see pictures of friends with the same hairstyle from 20 years ago it does age them. If there’re happy that’s wonderful, but for me change is good.

MsRapture10: Hi Ella.. Your videos are fantastic! My question is.. I have always worn a side part because I have a lot of funky bends and cowlicks in my hair. I've tried center parting and it just looks odd and the cowlicks become more pronounced so one side may sit higher with a funny bend and I have a severe cowlick right on the crown of my head. Do you have any recommendations for stubborn cowlicks and balancing each side with a center part to look more natural? Also.. have you come a cross any products that actually work for thinning hair?

RaeRae KC: Superb advice Thankyou sweetheart. At 47 my centre part is still going strong as is my past shoulder length, no bangs, a few subtle long layers, and undyed medium golden blonde hair. Only rule I’m breaking is that while I have virtually no greys yet (genetic as Mum & Aunty are less than 50% grey in their late 70s) , I got an inch wide white streak from serious illness in my late 30s which looks cool against my blonde so I just Rock it

Egle Sankari: Middle parting? Hm, no, just no. Been there, done that about 20 years ago, so if I stick to my old style, as mentioned in video, it should age me right? I stick to my side parting because it's flattering on me and it's new for me it's not all about trends.

Deb Storybags: Excellent tips! I went crazy on my bangs about a week ago. I have a center part which is good but I look very 80s style right now. The top of my hair looks pointy like a Kiss or Bee Gees hairstyle. So I need to put down my scissors and let my layers grow.

jabeda mukith-chowdhury: Brilliant advice as always thank you ❤️

Kayley: I have always hand long, thick, wavy layers. But like four times in my life I've cut it "short"--once to my chin (mistake), once to my collar bones (I should've liked it but didn't embrace it because I was too insecure), once as a long bob (LOVED IT and have tried to recreate it, but my stylist had moved away) which leads me to my fourth time, when a miscommunication with the very talented stylist left me very very unhappy. She put in a lot of layers and I felt like I suddenly looked like I was in my mid to late thirties. I accidentally got "The Rachel" and I was newly post partum so already feeling self conscious. BUT I still loved that one time when I got a long bob--I felt like it was my ideal look and my long wavy layers were just a safe choice and blanket for my self consciousness. I'm 28 though and I feel like I fit into that category where it was super popular to have my hair look like 5-7 years ago, but I'm STILL repping it and I'm in my late twenties where I do feel a pressure not to look dated. I booked my next hair appointment, and I've found a stylist who has several bob/long bob looks on her page that I love! As long as that's what she puts on my head, I am going to be so happy. I feel like I haven't been able to put my finger on "what went wrong" exactly with my last short hair cut, but you nailed it--it looked dated cause of all the layers. I'm going to be very clear this time around. Great, helpful video!

One Cracked Actress: Love these tips, thank you. I am pretty sure I can't pull off a centre part, it's never really worked on me.

Wendy: You are glowing Love this video too and would love to see more of a series of this

Shannavegana McInnis-Hurd: For no particular reason, I started doing a centre part for the last 6 months. I love it. Mind you I have long thick healthy hair even though I am 57. I also have good skin and keep in shape etc. Never would have dreamed I’d be wearing a centre part. Didn’t even do it in. High school. .

tbunnyshy l: I really like the money piece and a few more tiny highlights on deep maple brown hair. The contrast is high but I just feel alive with it. I’m 50 and I feel like the blond around the face softens the old lady look. Lol. Thank you for all that you share here.

D Harden: I've had lifelong baby fine hair so I always feel judged that I don't have luscious thick hair as you put it. My hair is healthy but I guess I give the appearance of not being healthy because I don't have a big thick mop. I really have an issue with the criticism I've received from hairdressers etc.

mjuelfs29: I have a long face abs I feel like the middle part makes my face even longer. Does the middle part also depend on the face shape?

Ariadna Prado: What would you recommend for a 51 year old brunette who is not ready to go grey but finds it hard to continue covering roots with a darker color. How light can I go with medium honey complexion and still look natural?

Olivia: Loving this video! Please do more for us wise and mature ladies. We need a little more extra help.

Carleen Villella: I've been watching you for years I tell everybody about you I think you're awesome I'm 58 years old I've been doing my own here for God knows how long I've learned a lot from you now it's time for me to start sending away to get the right color because the older I get it's just Sally's beauty shop isn't cutting it for me anymore I have something coming up at the beginning of November that means more than anything in the world to me so I really want my hair to look good and I don't know how to contact you to get a consultation I'm hoping that you see this God willing you well it's funny because you remind me a lot of me when I was younger but you're here color your natural hair color and the color you have is almost identical to my colors the only thing with my color is I have to use an ash because it bring it pulls up red so that's why I really would like to get a consultation see what you think thank you

Miss Parisa Naderi: Thank you so much. These tips really made me think more about my hair style and to fresh it up

Maria Genovese: Great tips Silvia. I hope you are doing and feeling well with your pregnancy . Happy Fall.

Rindy Harrison: Absolutely do NOT agree with the chunk pieces being out dated. They look great on me and I'm 50. With a side part.

Nancy Green: I love the hair tips for older women ❤️

Kara Roberts Shetty: Phewwwww I am so happy you didn't list bayalage LOL I want to ride that trend out forever it's so low maintenence I love it! Also in regards to the curls at end, I agree! If I do see someone with hair like that, I always think of Junior Prom lol

Glory Calabrese: Thank you so much for those amazing tips...I recently had my hair cut from medium length to super short and I've gotten so many compliments on how it has made me look younger and more updated.

JLeigh: Ugh. This kills me. I thought I was getting a trim last week, but. . .I'd taken literally years to grow out my mohawk area and get rid of layers. We confirmed that my hair was healthy and I asked for a trim; she knows I'm trying to grow my hair out. If I work through the cut I got, you'd have to elevate the section above 90 degrees to make the layers make sense -- in other words, they're short and they give me a triangle head -- all the way around the head. I knew I was in trouble when I saw a 3" cut on the floor. I hate the haircut. And it dates me. Another reason to hate it. It falls in an under curl at the upper most, very thick layer and makes the perimeter flip. It looks like a long shag - whose that mother on the Patridge Family? I hate it. Only growth can fix this. Did I say I hate it? What could I have done to prevent this? I did tell her I wanted a part of my bangs (I need them, sadly) shorter. Maybe that pissed her off? They're a mess, too, but that's my fault.

Uli : Your hair looks gorgeous! Thank you for the tips

ASMRyouVEGANyet?: The "cut that needs to die" was once done to me. Ruined my hair. Was not what I asked for. Not even close. I cried. Wore a wig for two weeks. Finally had to chop all my hair off. Luckily I can pull off a pixie cut but that was not what I originally set out to do.

Lori Moore: I can't think of one person who looks better with a middle part. A few look just as good but none that look better. It reminds me of Jan Brady on the Brady Bunch. I go a long with most trends but only ones that look better on me. Like darker roots or lighter roots look equally as good on everybody but one definitely looks more dated so that I can get behind but I am not parting my hair on the middle just because some kid on tik tok says so. Kids that I might add can't buy alcohol or vote yet they are influencing JLO??? Makes no sense to me. I get when your young, opinions of others matters so much but the freedom you feel at say 35 to not give a shit is a beautiful thing. An nothing is worse than someone 60 succumbing to that pressure. You can find a healthy balance an not go all in.

valeria balogh: I have thick hair so a centered part would be very comfortable because my hair wouldn't fall onto my eyes that often, but I worry about not having a perfectly symmetrical face. Many say a centered part brings out any asymmetry. What do you think about this?

Ann: Great tips however I’ve tried many hair cuts & styles & my long lengths works best for me whether it’s a trend or not or outdated !! Wear your hair the way it looks best on you & what makes you feel beautiful♥️♥️♥️

K C: Question: How do you transition to all gray without having gray roots? I have stopped coloring my hair & have gray roots/red hair & I am victim to this! I agree it's aging but you don't explain how to correct this, all the other styles you gave an explanation or alternative. Thanks!

Alice Moral Denis: Thank you! Great tips & advice, makes so much sense as you were talking about each point and the pictures as examples is great! Thanks again, and really looking forward to meeting your new family member soon!

FineGirl: I love the comment about Botox. My daughter does marketing for a dermatology office and for 2 years starting at the age of 28 she’s been getting Botox and filler in her lips. To each their own of course, but I just wonder when my daughter is my age, how will she look. IDK, I just don’t mind my wrinkles. Also, I’m gonna try with the part in my hair again. I tried once, but my hair had had the same part for 20 years or more. It doesn’t want to change. Thanks for the advice.

Lisa Fior: Hi, I'm in my mid 50s and self-employed and have always leaned towards a casual/sporty-ish type of personality, except when going to brick and mortar work or other functions, where I'm a lot more "put-together". My hair has always been on the wavy side, but not wavy enough to look nice air dried. I tend not to use blow dryer, whenever possible, because it dries out my hair (although it does make it look smooth and very styled). I have a diamond shaped face and can't seem to find a hair length/look that really flatters my face. Just below chin and totally large round-brush smooth looks very flattering, but I don't want to damage my hair. I wear bangs because I feel I look more masculine without them. When I let my layers grow out, it looks like my hair is dragging my face down. Any suggestions? I know, LOTS to think about : )

pheeno barbidoll: Center parts are great if you have symmetrical features and a smaller nose. If not, it draws attention to asymmetry and larger noses. And after a certain age it looks like an adult wearing the hairstyle of an 8 year old little girl if you wear it long. Hard pass.

Suzette Smith: At 46 and I've had to be right on top of my hair. I got a fresh hair cut yesterday and asked for a different style of bangs. I don't want the 6 year old bang and I love what she did. I do need more help with this. I have baby fine hair this just get so tsngled

Rickie Bee: Can you talk about this in regards to people who have naturally curly or wavy hair?

Peek-a-Boo: It may be aging having grey ombre for a couple of years, but it would look worse having fried orange yellowy hair with grey on top than with my dark brown. Grey comes in more fine and it would surely break off if I let someone bleach it. Orange has never been my color.

Debbie Cornelius: Thank you this was very helpful to me. Ok my face shape does not look good with a straight down middle part so I do a slight off center part. Can you talk about face shapes and what parts and face framing styles look best?

The Alphabet Bella: I started greying in my teens and have large pieces of it in my dark brown long hair. Not ready to go totally grey. What do you suggest?

Sara G: I highlight my hair so I am a bit guilty of the stripy look. I will figure out how to Shadow it a little better. That is actually really good advice that places me in the early 2000s.

Godsgirl001: I have a hair problem. Two summers ago my pool was off in the chemicals and the bottom part turned green. Ever since it pulls much darker brown than the rest of my hair. I recently cut it from long to above shoulder length but there was still a couple inches that pulled darker. What could it be and what do I tell my stylist to do to fix it?

Shawna T: I’m sad. I finally free’d myself 7 years ago from dying my hair blonde and went brown and natural never dying my hair again and now my grays are starting to come in. I guess I have to start covering them up ‍♀️ kind of sucks if you ask me, I’m a simple gal

CyberRasputen: Now go all. Make your hair look just like everyone else’s or keep your favorite look and feel self conscious. Clearly some hair styles are going to look good on different people with different faces, so if any of these looks are working for you then Rick it. Trends are all just repeats of prior trends. Wear your hair one way long enough and it will be back in style again. Promise. It always does because trends are only an illusion created by influencers. Your opinion matters just as much.

The Fancy Cakery: I have been allowing my diamond hair that has been growing since I've been 16 years old to come through...and of course...it's a process. However, I've been asked so many times..."how do you get your hair that beautiful platinum?".....I lie so much it's pitiful.....and they suck it up cause my hair is soo white. But...now that I'm growing out my diamonds, I'm NOT embracing the same colour every day of my life look. I have been every colour known to mankind through the years and.........I kinda LOVE that. Like Makeup. You don't want the same look every day! BUT....starting the grow out process is not something I wanna do every 2-5 years. There are so many temporary colours now. Can you do a video that focuses on the non permanent colours? The best ones and and how to tweak them to bring out the best ....especially maybe when growing out your diamonds? The most positive thing about having a full head of gray when you are 20 is that gray hair doesn't equate to old....cause it's literally been there forever. So I don't feel old..but I know others look at you different. Which is also a reason why people may need to camouflage their diamond hair in a healthy way. I would love to play with my diamond hair in a way that doesn't destroy them. Thanks!

Tara Estes: Great info! All your videos are very helpful❤️

Joanna Mikka: I'm in my late 40's and I have some white hairs - on my NATURAL dark ash blonde, 98% in the bun. 8:10 minutes lost. One wise keyword here was "classic".

Sunny: I feel like for my oblong oval face shape..my face looks extra longer with the middle part hair..but when I part it to the side it helps from making my forehead looking longer (and keeps me from looking like my mom! Shes always wore her hair parted middle) now the mom Jean's I love! They're so comfortable than skinny Jean's!

Rosie Vriesinga: My hair naturally falls into a center part. Also making a side part is so difficult it has a strong urge to fall back into the center. So I mostly wear bangs. I have a doll face and bangs make me look young.

ForeverDreamWithinADream: Age is what ages you. My hair is long and big curly/wavy and people often assume I am much younger than I look. I doubt my natural hair will age me and if people thinks that, that's more on them than me (I am pretty sure frying my hair all the time just to be 'hip' would be much worse). Just take good care of yourself and not worry about what others think. Also I never cared about what is with the times as sometimes styles are just awful. Just go with what you like.

monica matos: Wow, for such a quick video, there is a wealth of great tips! Thank you so much!

Kalegirlup: Great video! Going to try a center part tomorrow.

jo4vt: Thank you for continuing to make these helpful videos.

Suzanne Coppola: Thank you for this video! It was very helpful, however I am wondering how exactly you get more volume up at the front in the bang area with a center part? Like, what techniques do we implement to get that volume at the front?

ku200986: People should be able to do their hair however they want without people like you judging them!

Destinie Howell: Do you have any suggestions for hair parting with a ‘widow’s peak’? I love the center part but I feel like it just looks silly on me

Toni H: I look gross with a center part. Tried it multiple time and it unflatters my round face

Heather Feather: Thank you so much for this, this was very informative:)

Claire Willow: I had a middle part when I was a kid in the late 90s and early 2000s, so my hair didn’t mind switching back

Kelly O'Keefe: I’m stuck with alopecia on one side of my head. On top of that my hairline also receded. Can you do a video on how to cover that or haircuts like bangs that would cover a receding hairline?
