What'S good everybody, it's your main girls me and cease, i'm mel and i'm amanda, and today we are here to serve and style that wasn't rehearsed. We have taken some inspiration from pinterest and we're gon na share with you how to do the look behind the photo and we're going to be using some of our favorite products from eva nyc to create these looks, we're so excited to have partnered with them. On this video, as always, we've been using their products for years and we love them for many different reasons. Not only are they vegan cruelty free responsibly manufactured, but they are also 100 recyclable and very affordable products, and they recently just launched a new product. It'S a hair perfume which we're going to be sharing in today's video so without further ado, get ready to go on zoom. No we're going out now we're going out now. So the first thing we're going to do is remove our clippies. These are amanda's new they're called root, clippings they're, just like an alligator clip, but they do add kind of a bevel to the hair, so they help to kind of set a shape in place. So we have just set those in place while we did our faces and we already prepped our hair with our go-to routine. That'S how we always recommend you start a style. If you want to know what our current updated go-to routine is, we did create a video on that, but getting into the styling the first step. We'Re going to do is a down. Do it's both up, but also down, and this style the bubble pony super trendy super cute, although it looks very simple to do. Obviously how it looks in this photo is very different from how it's going to look on curly hair. So we wanted to show you how this style would look on both my long curly, hair and mel's, tighter curls that are also a little bit shorter and also style it a little bit differently. First, we're just going to prime our hair. This is the eva nyc main magic 10 in one primer. You'Ve seen us use this many times before it can be used before styling your hair, so on wet hair, but it can also be used on dry hair like we're using it here. It is a very fine mist oil. It has many different benefits, one of them being uv protection and also has heat protection. This is just going to help to make sure that our hair is nice and slippery and ready for styling. I always prep my hair. First, with an oil before i start styling and now the first thing we want to do for the style is situate, the bangs and with this style we don't need to go for a very clean section. So don't stress about that too much. I really just grabbed pieces and went with the natural fall off the hair, exactly that's gon na minimize frizz, which is what we want as well. Now, if you feel like you struggle with a little bit of flat hair, then you do want to make sure that you kind of have some picks or combs or accessories that you can use to add that volume where you need it. So personally, in my crown area, i look a little bit flat so right in my crown area, i'm just going to pick this section up and from underneath a little back combing and i'm ready to put in our first ponies. These are the elastics we're using and for me, i'm going to be doing a half up ponytail first, because my hair is more of the mid length and not as long so i'm going to first take some of my hair making sure i'm not grabbing any hairs That i do want out tendrils are super cute. We always want to frame our face and i'm taking just a half up just right at the back of my head really loose, i'm pulling out any hair that i don't want to include, and i'm going to pop in my first hair tie. So because my hair is longer, of course, i don't have to do that step. I just make sure to take out at least one tendril and bring all my hair to the side where my hair is parted and put the ponytail in before i put the next ponytail in i'm just grabbing this section of hair right now and i'm gon na Twist it and then wrap this piece around the ponytail once i've wrapped it around. I'M gon na grab a bobby, pin and pin it in place, while mel shows us her next step. Now i'm ready to take my next section, so i want to take a little bit more hair now and i'm going to create a second ponytail incorporating the hair. That'S in this pony i'm using ponytails and elastics that are, you know close to my hair, color they're brown, so they're going to really fit in with my hairstyle. Now i've got my two ponies and i can create my first bubble. I'M going to kind of just fluff out the hair, that's in between the two ponytails to kind of get that bubble shape. That'S my first one and i'm just going to create yet another ponytail at the bottom to gather all of my hair. Now i am going to take a bobby pin and just place it where those ponytails are just to kind of flatten them a little bit closer to my head. That'S going to give a bigger indentation for the bubble without having to tie the ponytail a million times and then tug and pull up my hair. Now i shall continue that down the shaft of my hair, and now i'm going to do the same with you. Thanks cease now because um i'm not going to use that kind of hair tie, because i'm at the the bottom of my hair, which isn't as dense, i'm just going to take some of these really small, tiny little elastics double them up, so they don't break and Then i will just i'm taking the same thing with okay, just brag, that you have a lot of hair. We get it and i'm just going to mimic the same thing that i did at the top section of my hair. I'M gon na grab another piece, preferably from whatever looks frizzy, whatever looks frizzy exactly i'm just gon na twist that piece and then wrap it around the ponytail. It'S time for the fun part. Now i get to design it, i'm going to be playing up with some really pretty bobby pins, just going to add them on the naked side. I would call this like my naked side. You can see. I have this layering effect going on here. You look pretty as a present presents literally wear this to your holiday parties. Yeah tie it in a freaking bow. Why don't you i love that she had the her little. I love the little bowl around. You can tie anything around yeah. My bow time. Skills needs a little only a little bit of practice. But to finish this look off we're just going to finish with this new product that you've nyc just launched. It is their hair fragrance and if you use any of the eva nyc main magic products, it has the main magic scent, which is warm floral a little musky. It is so perfect balances. I also really appreciate the size of the bottle. It'S one fluid ounce and it's the perfect little mini to fit in your bag or take with you traveling. We have been traveling lately and going to a lot of events, and we've been keeping this with us just kind of refresh our hair, and this is exactly how we would create this trending hairstyle on pinterest that we found for curly hair, both on shorter to medium Length, hair and long hair now the next style we're going to do is going to be great. If you don't have bangs or if you do, but you want them out of your face that you could either incorporate into an updo or a downdo. So i came across this look right here on instagram and not pinterest, but this is from sarah news fx. She did this really cool video and i absolutely loved the style she created because it really plays off that mini braid hair trend, we're seeing a lot lately, but it's very simple to do, especially if you're not good at braiding like i am so i'm just going To start off by sectioning out all my face framing pieces with a tail comb, this one is from tangle teaser. So in the video you can see that she has three small sections, so i'm going to go ahead and evenly as best as i can kind of part. Each section out, using the end of my tail comb and a tip for really working through the curls and all the knots that we have is making sure that you're prepping your hair beforehand with that oil. You saw us do that before on the first style, and i'm telling you it makes it much more easy to work with the hair and once i've created each section, i'm just kind of clipping them away so that i don't get lost and i'm going to be. Taking the part that i created and just kind of twisting all the hair against my scalp, this is just going to help lay all the flyaways and frizz that as curly girls can have i'm going to take small elastics. I'Ve doubled them up and i'm just going to tie them at the base of the section. Okay, we got one we're going to do the same thing to the middle section and then, finally, once more on the last section, and because i really want to create a really distinctive part, i'm just going to grab a bobby pin here and just kind of really Work it into the section to help separate that line a little bit more see how that just opened up the parting there. Sometimes i struggle with really showing off the part when i'm doing these types of styles, because my hair is so thick. So this is like a little hack that you can do and i'm not opening the bobby pin. While i'm doing this, i'm just kind of really sticking it in. I already love how it looks just like this, because it gives really nice volume to the hair, especially in this section, where my hair can sometimes lay flatter, so i'm really liking. How that's looking now in this image. She does have two small mini braids, which is a really big trend right now, so i'm gon na add those in so i'm just gon na grab a small section of hair, just above my ear here and i'm gon na take some of this product. This is eva, nyc's, bounce, back, curl, reviving mist and i'm just gon na use it to wet down my hair a little bit. This spray is also nice because it has some holes in it. So it'll help lay down any frizz and flyaways that i have in the hair as well, and i'm just gon na gently comb. The product, through with my fingers, making sure that it's evenly saturated and my hair is pretty damp and when i'm braiding the hair, i'm just doing a normal braid, i'm not pulling the end sections through just letting them kind of knot in a way. At the end of my hair, because this is what's going to help hold the style together without having to use an elastic, that's going to sit at the ends of your hair and it kind of looks off-putting. Especially if you have finer texture and then when i get to the end now, i'm just going to loop the bottom section of hair through this little hole here and we shouldn't need to use an elastic afterwards. It'S just going to hold everything in place really nicely for you and that's how it looks, of course, with curly hair braids are not as distinctive, but it doesn't mean we can't get on the trend as well. Okay, people will see it when they're up close and personal they'll notice, those really fine little minor details in the hair style and that's really what's going to elevate the style itself and that's the final look. If i were heading out, i would finish it off with a little bit of the hair, perfume, don't waste it, we already used it. You get the point, i'm not gon na waste it and that's the final look now that was going to show you some other styles well, now that caesar shared her casual look, i'm going to share a little bit more of an elegant updo sticking with a classic The french twist i get asked all the time how to do the classic french twist and i'm going to share with you how i would do it on curly hair, because i actually consider it to be much easier on curly hair than straight hair, because we naturally Already have the texture, if you don't, you can always do a little bit of teasing, but getting right into it. Of course again we just want to figure out what we want to do with the front, but, most importantly, we want to gather the long hairs that are in the back. Now i'm going to kind of sweep all my hair on one side and i'm going to bring it all the way back to the center back of my head now. Excuse me for being rude. I'M going to turn my back to you. Oh i'll probably get stuck in this chair. Imagine you're building a wall of bobby pins up the center back of your hair, so just place a bunch of bobby pins make sure those go right down to the scalp. So you have a really secure base, and once you have that in you want to take the side where all of your hair is and twist it, you can fully twist the hair into itself or twist it up. As i am doing - and i like this way because then you get a nice bouquet of your curls on the top once you've twisted the hair, you want to take some more bobby pins and go into your twisted roll from the top and crisscross them with that Wall of bobby pins that we initially put in place once you feel secure enough, you can dress it up with some fancy pins. These are some comb clips. You can also use a beret like one of these pearl clips or a corkscrew pin, and that's these little corkscrews, that kind of twist into the hair. Not only is this style elegant, but it's just classy, it can be dressed up or dressed down. It'S good for the workplace, it's good for the work night and you can totally customize the front. I'Ve also done a fully swept up back, look as well, you can do completely front bangs and you can also top it off with a headband. You'Ve got the perfect, very friendly hairstyle for both short to medium length. Hair right looks great. The sun is shining on me. It'S asking for this face asking for the glow. You know sister, what do you know she's going to share with you another style and i'm going to finish off with another style after the break recycling? This look i just created. I want to show you what it would look like if you threw your hair in a cloth clip which, of course, is also very trendy right now, so i want to show you how i like to do it, especially on my really long, thick hair. I'Ve shown this to you before, but when i'm doing a claw clip on my long thick curly hair, i like to first start by parting, my hair in two sections and then kind of twisting each section at the root before pulling them up towards the top of My head, where i then take my claw, clip and kind of secure it in that way. I feel like this way gives me a waterfall effect. That'S a little bit more, even on both sides of my hair. It also helps me secure the cloth clip in my hair a lot easier, so i don't feel like it's about to snap out of my hair. I left the braids that i created in the other style in, and this is what the final look looks like and for my last style, i'm going to be using one of these bad boys. If you don't know what this is, it's referred to as a french pen and they can be kind of tricky to use, but i'm going to tell you a way that you're never going to forget. So we're going to be creating a little half up. Half down. Do you can absolutely use this pin to do a full updo, but i'm going to show it to you doing half of my hair out for a little variation. So i'm going to spin back around again look back at it. The sun is shining. The sun is out, and it is not, should i back it up. Should i back it up, i'm gon na back it up you wan na just take whatever hair. You want place it where you want it to be and twist it into a little cinnamon roll of a bun, as i am doing here now twisting it is going to help to make sure that any layers you have get tucked into the hair. But you don't have to twist super tightly because then that can kind of flatten and squish the curls, how we're going to hold this all in place without doing that without squishing. The curls is by using this french pen. Now here's the trick see the curve. It'S like it's smiling, you got to get a little smirk hold it in your dominant hand, smile side up the pin has a curve to it. So you want to hold it like it's smiling. Then you want to stick the prongs into one end of the bun. You need to grab some of that twisted hair, so you can secure that you go in flip down and then that should lay pretty flat to your head. That'S going to really hold this look in place and look super elegant. What'S fabulous about this hairstyle is that you don't have to use any elastics that could crimp and indent your hair and when you're ready to take it down. You just release the pin release the pin and shake it out, and your hair is down and full once again, but it's a great again workplace, friendly, very elegant style. That just looks really good and feels really gentle on the curls. That'S what we're here for! Thank you, french pin. This has been your main girls, mel and amanda, sharing with you a couple different hairstyles breaking down the pin behind the trust, the pin behind the interest if you've been interested in any of these types of clips. If you found this video helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Thank you to our friends at eva nyc for partnering with us on this video. If you want to learn more about the products that we used and their new hair fragrance, we'll make sure to leave the links in the description below and we hope to see you in the next video until then peace, peace, okay, get ready with our tea and Me and cease: aren't you ready, okay hold on now? Oh you drink, something so disgusting, it's my london fog. It smells like butt crack yeah, no, like the inside of a bookcraft. You know what that's just that you know it smells like fart. I think your mouth is too close to your no. Do i smell a little bit? Oh no, our table, it's broken, i'm broken and if you have longer bangs and it's a great style that you can do that amanda's going to do, the shower is pink. The shower's king should really give her some privacy

Faye Berman: I adore the coordinated seester outfits. You ladies look so beautiful with all these different ‘dos.

ashlee tucker: Can we just talk about how curly Amanda's hair has gotten over the last few years doing curly methods!!

Erin: Happy texture tuesday! I just want to thank you and Amanda for helping me so much on my curly journey. I went from feeling insecure about my hair to getting complimented on it all the time. Although I did get called Medusa the other day so not completely sure..

Amber Godwin: ATTENTION CURLY QUEENS!! The Tangle Teezer Comb used in this video is in on sale on Amazon for $12!!! I just ordered mine. I cannot thank Mell enough for what she has done for my hair. It has refused to grow for two years (3C curls that I wide tooth combed every day and slathered with product * cringe * ) and in just a year since discovering this channel, it has grown over 5 inches thanks to Mell. My confidence has skyrocketed, and I am absolutely loving my hair for the first time in my 24 years of life. Sending lots of love and thanks to you Curly Queen .

Blush the Borrowed Rib: Hearting this topic. It was such a thing trying to "style" my hair curly when i was used to the length and forgiveness of straight hair. Curls (well mine) are not as forgiving. I get it...neither am i

Emily: great job on this video ladies, we love the content and all the hair styles looked beautiful .. looked even better on curly hair than straight ❤️

L Bloodkith: I used to do the front twists or braids with glittery butterfly clips back in the younger high school years. That was also around the time the claw clips first showed up. Nice to see those looks coming back in a non-cringey way.

Emily: i love how you hear Amanda talk A LOT more in videos, she’s really come out of her shell

Gina DePaola: I’ve brought back my claw clip from 10 years ago and have been playing around with it now that I have embraced my curls! I would Love to see some more curly claw clip hairstyles from you ladies!

Christina: Favorite day! Texture Tuesday! Excited to try these…way better than the day 5 bun! Thank you!

Daymickey: Wow! I’m watching for the first time in over a year (because I’ve been straightening my hair) and I notice such a difference in Amanda! She’s learned SO MUCH! I remember her not only being shy in front of the camera but not knowing a ton about curly hair. You’ve taught her well Mel! I’m impressed with both of you!

Laura Kiss the Chef: I always love your matching outfits but today they are especially adorable!

Lyana Gonzalez: You both look so beautiful and amanda your curls have come such a long way since you started FABOLOUS BOTH OF YOU also odered some eva nyc products including the fragrance and can’t wait to try

Minna Uyeda: Yay, it’s Tuesday! Ladies, thanks to you I found my new holy grail, product, the AG fresh curl define cream. Omg....you’re right, it’s a cream that leaves a soft cast, with great definition. I also got the volume clips and love it! You ladies are awesome!!

Melanie B: Oooh love the french pin. You make it look so easy!

Makayla Johnson: Okay well I totally didn't expect that french twist to work so damn well on my hair I'm soooo surprised but so happy! Such a nice way to out my hair up at work (massage therapist ☺️) I'm going to be doing this all the time now! Thank you wonderful ladies for the constant lovely ideas

C. C.: Great video ladies. The second hairstyle was my go to in the early 2000's with those little butterfly clips that were popular on the twist parts. My hair would knot so bad with the Topsy tail at the end of the braid. I would end up having to cut it to get it out. The french twist reminds me of the 90's. I used to French twist using a humongous banana/ claw clip. Man all these hairstyles keep coming back full circle. I am waiting for the stretchy plastic comb headband to come back.

teresita: Wishing I had Amanda’s thick curly hair problems but know the struggles we all deal with no matter what you’re workin with! ❤️

Bat Nipples: I love when you guys film together. Amanda has become so confident talking about curly hair! Omg Mell, I frikkin LOVE London Fogs! I love Earl Grey tea so much. I made London fog ice cream, an Earl grey cake, London Fog cookies. Ugh I can't get enough. I can't believe Amanda says it smells, take it back ma'am!

Denise Moreno: I love the seesters!! Cabt wait for my curls to get healthy again to do these.. I just love tuesdays, love watching you girls!

gemma_xvi: You gals help me feel so much more confident with my curls❤️❤️❤️

Elise-Lauren Springer: All these trends and accessories have come back from the 90's. I can't believe it's been long enough for a comeback. Good nostalgia.

Angie CT: I wish I had such thick hair it was hard to see a part . You two have such gorgeously dense manes of hair.

Marize Casaes: I just came to say "I love you girls!!" ... It's always fun and instructive to watch you!!

Sophia Aloeristok: I love the matching plaid, and all these hairstyles are super cute

Mlala: Thank you sooo much for this video!! I love learning new hairstyles, as the way our hair is done can completely change our vibe and our outfit's. I'd love a part 2, 3, 4... lol thanks again

Zoé Rosado: Thank youuuuu for doing this!!! Also Mell! I've got a challenge for you!!! I challenge you to make a video (maybe a 5 minute Friday extra video) using as many hair puns as you can.

catdog dogcat: This was great Thankyou both. It’s really hard to picture any style that works on curly hair.

Dee Silver: This came at the perfect time. My sister is getting married in two weeks and I had no idea what I was going to do to my hair.

SioLazer: very helpful! I want to try the French twist for working out. I wonder how much the French clip presses into your scalp. I don't like claw clips or hair sticks because I'm tender-headed.

Dominique Segers: I love your channel. You've inspired me to start my own channel. I tried your version of a unicorn the other day. It was scary but I liked how it turned out

My hair waves have turned even looser than before and I’ve been using the same routine and by the end of the day it’s just really loose waves instead of the 2c/3a hair I had a month ago. Im not quite sure what’s happened anyone please let me know what to do

bucketgarden: How do you know if the products you are styling with will mix with the products you used in your wash day styling?

Aurora Charming: Could you please recommend products for dry grey wavy hair in winter ❄️?

N: Ok, I have a genuine question for you and anyone else who's got a genuine answer: I've been going through the curly girl transition for the last 5-6 months and am so frustrated. My hair has all of the 2's+ a few pieces of 3a in it. My hair is thick but it's fine and it's low porosity...no matter what I do, I cannot get my curls/waves to stick all day. It has been so frustrating. I've tried gels and creams and mousse etc but they just keep losing their shape. They look beautiful when wet, a lot of 2c and 3a pieces and then when they dry there are like two 3a pieces randomly and the rest of the waves/curls have fallen out to 2a/2b. What am I doing wrong?? They only thing I can think is that I must just touch my hair too much, but it's hard not to because before when I was blow drying it straight, I could put it behind my ear (I hate hair in my face.) Now I feel like my hair is constantly hanging in front of my eyes and I can't live my life like that. I'm at my wits end. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. Today, the only thing I put in my hair was leave in conditioner and my hair was 2b most of the day until the very end when it was all 2a. I would really, really appreciate the advice because I'm honestly on the verge of giving up.

Stormy Day: I don’t know if anyone ever told you this or not but, though on a phone your video sound is good, when it is cast to a TV, it is not. I’m not exactly sure why but it’s sounds very muffled. I don’t seem to have this problem with other videos, maybe it could be the bathroom? Not sure. I just wanted to let you know.

Lynn Saker: Hi

Chad R: I believe it's misleading to say that Eva NYC products are 'responsibly produced' when the company outsources their production to manufacturers in Israel, a state currently practicing apartheid against Palestinians. It is not realistic to avoid all products manufactured in Israeli, but there are plenty of curly hair brands at similar, if not cheaper, price points. Again, it's impossible to avoid purchasing things produced in Israeli, but there's a clear difference between using your life-saving generic medicine and buying a 16oz, $15 tub of deep conditioner. I have purchased many Eva NYC products through Mell's & Amanda's endorsement, and they work— they're nice, I liked them, but that was before I knew they were made in a modern-day settler colony. If you have their stuff, use it up unless you can return it, but if 'ethical sourcing' means anything to you, this is not the brand to buy from.
