Hey guys so in today's video I wanted to talk about fall trends and not just any fall trends but, of course, hair trends. So the beginning of fall is my favorite time of the year. I love that all the magazine's the September issues are like this thick. So I've been really busy reading that it's just so inspiring and so exciting. So many of my clients when they sit down, they just asked like what would you do to my hair or like? What'S in right now and and even though my style is more of not necessarily following a trend and more doing what looks good on you just because I think everyone benefits more from that, then you know really just following a trend, but with that being said, of Course you still want to look a modern and, I guess up-to-date and another thing with hair trends. None of this is really new. It'S all just kind of recycled kind of styles, where maybe you've seen that color before, but just never with that cut or like baby lights. It'S like a huge thing right now, but baby lights is, you know, has been around for a long time. It'S just called something else, but now baby lights are introduced like two volumes to soften the look and to give it a more kind of fluid look. I'Ve had clients, you know with that. Have balayage come in and be like. Oh I've heard of about baby lights and I want that and I'm like you have that so I figured I would just kind of go and basically just show you pictures, basically what is in and kind of transitioning into fall, and so, if you're thinking of updating Your look a little bit you can use. Obviously these pictures and these trends - you know as inspiration, so I'm going to start with kind of the more subtle for all you more natural girls and then I'll kind of go into more extreme styles. So the first trend is a chi, and obviously this has been around for a couple of months, but the coloring of it changes a little bit here and there, and so a chi is basically a French word that I believe means scales, kind of on a fish Which is weird but and basically the meaning of that I think, is because there's so many colors but they're all kind of in the same color family. So together it creates this just beautiful harmony of colors. So it looks very natural, very soft and very useful if you think of a little girls hair like just that, like natural kind of lightness at the bottom, so it's even more than ombre it's more than balayage. It just kind of has this beautiful, like glow to it almost so color number two would be gray and of course, we've been seeing that for the last a year at least but again with each season, it kind of changes like the intensity of it, and I Get a lot of questions on this, so I figured I would just like to touch on it in order to get great. Yes, you do have to bleach your hair almost to a platinum in order to get it gray. Otherwise, it'll go green and not gray, so that is a huge trend, whether you like it extremely smoky or you know, just kind of a more of a whitish rice, beautiful colors, a lot of girls that are already blonde that want to do it go for it. It'S very easy to transition back. I get a lot of questions on that. Like oh, you know, I'm blonde right now and I would love to do that. But how hard is it to go back to blonde? It'S really easy. So if you weren't thinking about it, go for it, it's super fun way to change your hair, it's so edgy, and you know it just gives you basically a fun new thing to try with your hair without much commitment and then the next color is all the Vibrant pastels, so we've all seen you know the lavender and the turquoise and and the soft pink and all of that, but more than that now we're seeing the kind of ombre with the pastel. So that means that the roots are like this intense intense, either like blues or purples, and then it kind of fades out into this beautiful pastel a purple. So basically, it looks like it's like melting into this light, light version of that same color, so that obviously takes a little bit more technique, but it absolutely looks beautiful. This is great too, for for girls that do in a try, a little bit of color, but still want to look pretty sophisticated, because it looks a little bit more elevated. The fact that there is a special technique in there and the fact that there is that kind of gradient kind of adds a little bit of glamour to it. So this is more like the ombre kind of lavender, and this is just the pastel lavender all over and now for the last one. This is a cut, not necessarily a color. The color I would recommend with it would be a pretty bold balayage, meaning that it's pretty blonde or pretty solid blonde at the bottom. But it is the LOB and the amount of girls that are sitting in my chair with long hair to here that want to go really short, because, basically, I feel like all I do lately. So it definitely has to be one of the biggest trends and it is great to see girls. You know that have been growing out, their hair and, finally, just being so bold to just get. You know this kind of long Bop, which I love, how it's I feel like it's so edgy and so against the rule set. It'S not even a bomb, it's like a long bob, so it really is, futuristic and so different. You know it's not the traditional Bob. That'S kind of like curls in and it's not the long, long waves that we keep saying so and then the fact that it's really blunt that's, I think what gives it that edginess and playfulness but still gives it a lot of movement. So obviously, there's a technique to getting this haircut done right so that you do get a lot of movement. I see a lot of cuts that are just done way too blunt, and that's not necessarily the point. That'S just half of what this haircut is, so it needs to look really blunt, but also really PC. That is definitely the balance. I think you have to find with that cut. So if you're gon na get it done, make sure to get it done right, but it is absolutely beautiful. I'Ve not done a girl, yet that had really long hair that you know went really bold and went a lot shorter and hasn't been loving it again. If that is something that you're looking to do absolutely try it out so stylish and glamorous and definitely even easier to take care of, and if you want by next summer, your hole will be long again, so why not just give it a shot? I know that these colors are not necessarily breaking news and, like you've never heard of these before so I wanted to touch more on styles, that I was pretty sure you've heard of, but probably want a little bit more explanation, and you know very just wearable looks From the more and daring to you know the more subtle, so I hope this has tickled a little bit of inspiration into you and hope you try at least one of these out. This fall as always. Thank you so much for watching, don't forget to subscribe by clicking right here and I will see you in the next video bye.

L: I'm in love with the colorful "shadow root" that fades, looks very futuristic! :D

Lee Courtemanche: I love all the great advice, you have really been helping me with my hair problems! I was wondering if you could do a video on how to get the lob to look piecy...cut, styling and products?

AmyLoo2 -: I just dyed my hair blue, and accidentally followed most of these trends. In talking to my stylist we set on cutting my super long hair into a long bob, and then dying it blue. My roots are a dark, rich blue and then she balayaged in a vibrant medium blue with bright aqua pieces. I am obsessed. I've been wanting colorful hair but pastel wasn't for me!

Becca Case: My hair has been the ombré pastel lavender for almost a year and a half and I just recently got a "lob" cut. Awesome! Looks like I'm set for fall!

SarahCS420: Love your videos. So pretty, so talented. Keep up the awesome vids.

Terri Esposito: I am definitely going to try the "Lob". I did see it on the daughter on the "Chrisley Knows Best" show! Thanks for another very informative video...Have a great week Silvia!!

MRW: Curly hair seems so limited, please do a video for us curly haired girl, trends, classics, colors whatever. Thanks for the great videos

Lisa Hall: I'm soooo tempted to get the "lob" I love the photos you showed

Karie Brown: Hi Elle! I'm new to your channel and just love you! I have been doing hair 17years and still struggle with pricing as a booth renter. For these newer looks of color how should a stylist go about pricing? These techniques require more steps, product, and time, so how should we charge?

Essel Villamor: Thanks girl. This is exactly what I was looking for ;)

Laurensic: I would really love to see a video of slimming/flattering cuts and styles for plus size women with fuller faces.

Megan Schultz: Loved this!! I'm always wondering what the new trends are for the next season.. You should make this a series!..umm so I guess that would only be 4 vids a year lol...☺️

Minerva Rivas: Awesome job!!! would love to try the last one you showed. love it! you are great!!

Angel Jepsen: Love the Lob!! Wish I could find some good information/pics to share with my stylist to get the look you featured :)

Nivi Parthasarathy: So this is off topic but I love your hand movements! You explain as much with your hands as you do with your words :) Shows you are an artist!

Kelsey: can you talk about trends for fall for curly hair??

Bren Gz: Love your tutorial. Youve come a long way as far the chemistry you have with the camera (if that makes sense). You're more comfortable. Thanks for all the videos, they're so helpful

Liam Mangnusson: Oh dont appologize! Think its great! How exciting for you both! So pleased you find time to do all your videos in all this stress! Thank you ! :)

Elizabeth Dobos: Thanks for the video! I love the lob haircut and had thought about on getting one before I watched your video and now I'm sure I will do so! I have had long hair for many years and I'm ready for a change. I wish you could be the one to cut my hair, but I live too far away from you -- I'm in Taos, New Mexico.

skoobasteph: I have a lavender lob!!! Lol Weird to be an on trend cliche but I love it nonetheless. Love your channel btw. I've been following for a few years now probably!

Josefine Oehlenschläger: But a blunt bob is also still in though? I wanna get a more blunt aline lob, but I guess it is just a personal preference ☺️☺️ You look amazing as always! I would love to get my hair done by you!

BostonBarbieDoll: Great Topic Sylvia! I Like The First One But Maybe A Little Bit More Dramatic. I Feel Like These Colors Look Beautiful On Blown Out/ Straight/Wavy Hair, But My Hair Is Naturally Curly And I Love It That Way! What Style Looks Best On Curly Hair?? Not Hair Cut Or Color, which Method?? -xx's jessica

Maria Jose Gonzalez: Can you please make a video on short hair. Thanks love all your work!

The Fasty Salad: Whoaaa thanks for answering me!! Anyway I wanted to tell you something because I really enjoy watching your videos.. I follow you (here, on FB and IG too!) because I really like you as a person and because I truly appreciate your videos (I find them instructive, inspiring and very useful).. so, I don't want to sound like a "hater" or something by saying that personally I didn't like the thing about the "giveaway". Believe me, it's not for the products themselves (and I don't follow you for giveaways), it just seems that you put the word GIVEAWAY in that title to attract more people (and so more money!) and then you "forgot". Hopefully this comment will be useful :) Apart from that.. I'm hungry for more videosss! My blonde ambition never ends hahahah, can't wait! lots of love from Italy :)

Epiphanystone: Do a lob tutorial :)

Sofia Ferrigno Toriello: Hi Elle! Do you think that the purple and gray hair would look good on a brunette, brown eyes and medium tone?? I have blue vains but all the other characteristics point that I am a warm tone girl but in fact I look better in silver than in gold. I would love to try this trend but at the same time I'm afraid of which color to choose. Please help !!! ----- kisses Sofi

PassTheGlam: Just happen to come across your page. You are so gorg and I can tell you love being a stylist! yeah I have a lob r now and my x-stylist messed it up... doesnt have enough movement... I am getting it re-cut and colored this friday. I am loving the Ecaille look. Should my colorist know what that is? I had never heard of it. Also, will she just say that is all over highlights of 3 or 4 colors and would she be correct? Thanks ... I look forward to more vids from you ! Go Cali- I used to live in the central valley.

Brianna Elizabeth Freedman: I love the purple. Reminds me of Nicole Richie

Casey Markland: Yay! I'm ahead of the trends! I did silver last year before it got really big and then I went violet a few months ago. Now I have the bright violet roots that fade out into light pale violet.

Liam Mangnusson: Great video as always! Is that moving boxes i see behind you? :)

Sierra Robinson: I loved this!!!

Angel Lavinder: I love the sophisticated color on that bob!! Anyone know what color/colors are used? I'm a tad color blind and can't tell if that's silver or purple?

Luke Hodson: im a guy and ive been considering dyeing my hair platinum, should i do it this Winter or wait in-till spring

lynn thuy: Loving the way the ecaille looks. Wish I lived closer to you! Thanks for info in this video ☺️

Kelly Frem: Love your videos!

Patricia chraibi: Great I love your haircuts for fall look

Julie Diana: Can you do a video more in depth about going more grey?

Diba Afch: Hi Elle, love you & your videos I have naturally deep brown/ black hair which right now I have very soft blond and caramel ombré and I want to get the grey or more towards whitish colour that you talked about and I really concerned that it might not be so flattering on me since I'm a Burnett and also are these colours all temporary?

Ana Rodriguez: i was the girl with super long hair to my hips. I decided to cut it to a lob BEST DECISION EVER! It frames my face better i now have a bob which suits me even better.

Fleur van Huet: first I want to thank you for the helpful video's. and second I was wondering if i'm having the right scissors to cut my own hair like you did in your video. It isn't a regular scissor but hair scissors. So my question is when do you know you are having good scissors? thanks

Maricela Castillo: What hair products do you suggest for blonde hair? I know there's the purple shampoo for toning. But any other advice? I just went blonde and want to keep my hair nice and healthy.

Leanne Tixier: hi im a hairdresser in france and the gray hairtrend is coming in . im platinum blond and want to go gray ,do you have any tips on how to achieve it ,maintane it and then how to get rid of it after. thanks for your help x

Liam Mangnusson: Hi Silvia! I know you are busy but if you have a moment could you please recomend a nice redken shade EQ thats a nice ashy "mouse" shade to balayage into blonde hair .

Megan Enriquez: What color do I need to bleach my hair to in order to get it auburn the way Ashlee Simpson used to have it? My hair is black. I dyed it with box dye 6 months ago but I'm going to strip the color first then bleach

EddieRoo11: My hair is currently a 3 or 4 brunette and I'm wanting to go to a red violet/ burgundy. I've been looking at colors but it's a bit overwhelming.. I want it to look good. I usually do my hair at home myself.. A salon costs too much and they always charge me extra because of my length. I was wondering if you have any recommendations for a specific brand and/or color.

Globrighter: I'm going grey at the end of the year :D

Morgen Talbott: Can you please make a video all about gray hair.

Cristina Aguirre: I feel like the long Bob is the awkward length stage when you're trying to grow your hair out

zohra zameri: Thanks for the info you are my fav !!

Flor Helena Pacheco: I really really wish to find a good hair stylist in my city.

40bdg: Fun video and info. Thanks ;)

Shir Manole: Wishing I lived where you are so you could color my hair! love you <3

AnaB: Silvia, I have a question not connected to this video but I really need your opinion. I'm a blond and thinking to make a balayage like you had before, but the problem is that I'm wearing one piece extensions every day and they are one color and made of artificial hair so I can't put color on them. Do you think they will be wearable with balayage or I need to get new extensions?

Hailee Hutchison: Any advice on reversing thinning hair ? I had fine hair but after I got this new birth control implant and my hair has become very fine and thin .. I'm 16

Stilletto77: Looooooove that lavender color!! Do you know the color??

Tara Swain: Hope you can help me. I put a 9/1 wella koleston on my roots and it is still too orangey for my liking. What do you suggest to get more of the same colour as you? Thank you

munkcares: What about brunettes? I feel so uninspired by my dark brown hair :\

Sara Isabel: oh i love your videos !

Lauren Bellman: Can you suggest a hair salon or person in NYC or South FLorida where I could get the last haircut (long bob) please?

cupfcoffee: my hair is light brown with black roots.. im thinking of ombre to help cover my greys so is it still a trend?

HP Beauty LLC: If I want to do an ombre'd lavender what would I do?

Sarai: How do I ask for the "right" lob. I hate when they give me a blunt flat cut. I want it more wispy like you said.

Jessica Ramsarran: Hi I was just wondering if u can do a video on hair colours for brown skin tones. I have a kinda light skin tone colour and I'm having a really hard time figuring out what hair colour will work for me . Plzz help!

By beba’s: please do another lesson about hair coloring i don't have a school in my place and i want to be good at it but every time i do toners with blue it gets green not silvery look i want to understand color and if u know online classes please let me know

Ali en: I wish I watched this video before I ruined my hair. Cries in a corner.

Richie Hofer: Hi Silvia.....I just wanted to tell you how pretty & sweet you are....& has anyone ever told you....you look so much like Shakira....I'm a big fan of hers LOL.....anyways love all your videos especially the hair & anxiety ones...as I relate to both**....Best of luck for your & hubby's future .....Big Hug all the way fr. Australia <3

esvantesson: Is it true that schampo open the hair shaft and the conditioner close it with different pH levels? Is this only on high end products or can I trust that drugstore conditioner closes the hair shaft (If this is true) ?

Gino Evangelista: please post the pic of the volumizing product you mentioned on Periscope by Loreal - ty.

Ash LaV: Quick question . I have thin hair and its long but looking for a haircut to make my hair look thicker and healthier?!

ChloeXO piink: hi, I'm looking for a new look but need advice. I have a long face shape and was thinking of a fringe? also I have blonde hair with bleach in as I had red hair and had to be bleached. now my roots are terrible and I want a new colour. how hard is Grey to get out if you decide to go back blonde? thanks x

The Fasty Salad: I wanted to follow your instructions about balayage blonde hair.. but it seems you can't buy redken products (execpt shampoos, conditioners and styling products) in Europe! Why?!?!? Should I trust amazon US? Anyway, I think I'm going to a salon and tell them what to do and what to use :P What about the curly giveaway? Is there any winner?

Chick & Cook: Has anyone ever told you that you look abit like shakira

babydollheartsmakeup: . I want to get a long bob but I have very thin straight hair and not a lot of it. I don't want to get hair extensions and can't curl it to get voluminous hair everyday. what do you suggest? I really want the lob but should it be cut a certain way to make it look nice? And good advice in your videos really loving this channel :)

cupfcoffee: and if i want to try grey what shade should i expect because i bleached it but dyed it brown later:/ thoughts

Dbubblesss28: Id like to be you... Your perfect in every way

Kelly: YAAAAAAS!!!

groovyfaroutofsightneato67: What's your salon called?

Megan Costello: What magazines do you read?

Katya U: Sylvia, what about the curly giveaway? When will you announce who is the winner❓
