That is funny to tell big is for oh, my god. I love I wanted to welcome you back to my channel. Today'S video is going to be 5 natural hair trends that need to die all of your opinions, whether you agree or disagree, feel free to share them down below. Let'S get a conversation started, and if you guys like this video, then I can basically do another episode. The same concept, natural hair trends that need to that. So I know for a fact that in the natural hair community there are just like so many dudes that don't so many tips and tricks. So many crazy things that have came up that yeah I mean not all of it really makes that much tips, and so I'm going to address 5 of them today. Yes, 5 of them today that I personally feel like they need to that like we need to get rid of them. We need to stop stop the nonsense, please. So the very, very first natural hair trend that needs to die is the pre boo, the free hoo. What is that? Okay? What is that now? I personally don't do free food treatments, thank God, but I personally feel like this is a natural hair training needs to die. Now, I'm going to tell you what so my beautician and I can share. We were having this conversation one day in the shop, and this was what she said like I kid you not, she said, do you feel ocean on your legs before you get in the shower, and I was like no, why I mean who doesn't like that's freaking Disgusting and she was like well that's what a free food treatment is, and I mean thinking about it. It is it's moisturizing, the hair before you're, going to cleanse it. So in my brain it's either one a waste of your time because you're going to all that moisture out, anyways or you're not really going to get your hair clean. So if you're gon na freak ooh and shampoo, then why not just go wash, I mean, and you can cook all that other stuff out, I'm not trying to pull ocean on my leg before I finish out. It just doesn't make it okay, the next one that kills me. I mean it kills me and I'm guilty of this like I get it like way way back in the day. In the beginning of my natural hair journey blegh, it was the deep conditioning overnight. Why do you have the deep condition for 30 hours, while I walk around with the soggy head as building a mildew that is still wet with the shower cap on your head, you got still dripping down the side of your neck. You sleep it in your pillows wet. Why do they if the bottle of deep conditioner say is 15 to 20 minutes, the indeed condition for 15 to 20 minutes? The product is still going to be just as effective, where the you deep condition for 15 minutes or 15 hours. It is no point, no point in leaving conditioner on your head for that long. I don't know if people think that's one to work miracles, but it's not it's not it's not it's, not the very natural hair trend that needs to die is hair. Type I feel like hair type is, is almost like racism on here. That'S how crucial it is. I I really do and people ask me a lot with my hair type, use a lot of the time and I just always say always somewhere in the type 4 range, and the reason that I say that is because, logically, nobody has just one hair type: energy. Nobody does, let me tell you about my hair. I have like a little Rico, suave patch, in the back that does like these real, real, pretty curls. I got like some holes in the middle that I like straight from the mother laying on the sides and even a friend I got like this whole Little Mix chick thing going on with it kind of doesn't know where they wants to curl or it's away. So what you want me to say my hair is 44, a 4 B 3 C, like you want your the important all the sections of the different hair types. In my hair I mean I just personally feel like your hair is either straight: wavy curly calling or kinky that's it. This is someone in there number 4. The fourth one, the fourth natural hair trigger needs to die, is not washing your hair, not shampooing. Your hair not actually cleansing your hair. That is nasty. Like that's nasty, that's nasty! Oh, oh, that's just nasty! I don't think it's any way around it. I just think that that is disgusting tonight personally want to cleanse your hair like I've had people that have said. Oh, I haven't washed my hands six months. What like I just can't imagine somebody just like smelling your hair and and then the last natural hair trend that I think needs to die. Is these heat damage remedies like things that you can do to quote-unquote revert heat damage? First of all, your hair mate, just because it loses curl pattern doesn't necessarily mean that it's damaged that's number one. Well, I couldn't barrel and all these other weird random remedies like it's not going. It'S not going to work. I don't know why people feel on y'all, but ish you want to remedy it, cut it off, yeah, not fixing, but that's about the only thing. That'S really and truly going to face it. Are you rolling all the other stuff, like I'm going to quote unquote, make your curls go back to their original state? It'S not it's not that's exactly why you can actually heat train your natural hair. So if you want it to be natural, but you wanted to wear your hair straight, you can literally keep training it and it will remain straight okay over time. So I have some more. Don'T don't get me wrong. I have some more natural hair trends that do need to die, but I am going to save them and I want you to leave all your natural hair trends that you feel like me to die down below and thumbs up this video. If you want me to create basically another episode of natural hair trends that you feel like need to die, because I know there's way way more out there, I hope you guys enjoyed this video I enjoyed making it and I'm gon na go, get some class bags, But that's okay! So leave your comments down below like this video subscribe to my channel. If you want to see weekly uploads - and I will see you love in my next video bye

Shay T: The real trend need to be "Do whatever works for your hair".

Koriander Yander: The best thing about these black women going natural is they'll bring up a generation of more confident daughters who'll never know a perm :)

ConfidentlyCat: I know one:➡ Thinking that whatever "certain" natural hair gurus say or do to THEIR hair is GOSPEL!! At this point most naturals should know that everything doesn't work for everyone so stop obsessing over someone elses hair and appreciate your own crown...

Jodian j: When i was a kid, my hair grew without these natural hair trend, simple oil and water.

Adenike Adenusi: Pre-poo isn't putting moisture into your hair before you shampoo it. You pre-poo using oil, and oil doesn't contain any moisture and does not cause shrinkage. Pre-poo simply softens the hair to make it easier to detangle. Pre-pooing has definitely been helpful in my natural hair journey thus far.

Karen H: The most important thing I've learned since being natural is that what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. Who am I to judge?

OurCurls: I agree with everything except the prepoo. That's when I detangle my hair; detangling before washing is a must for me.

Nom D38: I'm laughing so hard right now! Some of us naturals be doing too much!!!

RhodainChristJesus: trends that need to go.... people not appreciating the kinky afro and expecting goldilock hair after the big chop

Eniola Folarin: I don't think the problem is hair typing itself. Just like race, the problem isn't categorizing people by race. The problem appears when one type is placed above others and that's essentially a human problem not a categorization problem. Although categorization can lead to oversimplification, it is however useful in helping us understand how something functions in order to better care for it. But I totally get where you're coming from :)

AnayaLator_221: I hate feeling like I need to lay my edges all the time because every other natural hair person is doing it. My edges DO NOT LAY like at all and when I try to force it, I end up putting gel all over my forehead. So for me personally I'm done but for those you that feel and look boom keep in rockin it and do you.

Ariyale Twitty: I'm guilty of deep conditioning for hours lol I do it because I have color in my hair and I just feel there's no harm in deep conditioning really good. I'll do like a plastic cap then tie it with a scarf so that it's not messy. Deep conditioning is my favorite part!

Veneshia Lee: Can just the "natural hair" trend die in general? Not everyone who you see with non straight hair has gone on some "natural hair journey" some of us have just always worn our hair that way and have never used chemicals. And then for the response to be "aw well that's cuz you got that good hair" ....... PLEASE go find you some self love and get the heck out of my face.

alisa lindsey: I know ladies, how about "protective styling" which to me is hair jail. i understand the concept. However locking your hair up 9mos out of the year, what is the point of growing it if you "can't" wear it out? Is there a special parole date to "show" it? Christmas? your birthday? when?

Ronke A: I'm 4c and prepoo is EVERYTHING for me. Forgot what you heard! You use oils , which the hair and scalp absorbs, and prepoo is the reason I've never really suffered from dry hair. Nappyfu is a big advocate for prepoo and rightly so

Jenny Bravo: I don't care what anyone says hair typing helped me a lot I was busy watching all these YouTubers with looser curls & their shrinkage was nothing compared to mine or wash & gos or twistouts! My 4b/4c YouTubers know the struggle ain't no damn shea curl enhancing smoothie could of helped me! It's like watching some white girl with straight hair do a flexi rod set when you know yours isn't gonna be the same. Whether or not you claim a hair type or not people can look at you & say you have "nappy hair" or "good hair"

CoilyP: I hate hair typing it divides the natural hair community. We're all beautiful !!!(ADDING STATEMENT DUE TO COMMENTS BELOW) You are proving my point that it's not about the hair typing itself it's the tearing down of women of color by women or color. We already deal with a lot in the media, our jobs and with men. The natural hair community includes all women of color ( black, latino, asian, and mixed people). Just because you don't fit into a category doesn't mean someone else might not. Black or whatever. BTW there are ALOT of Latino Youtubers with wavy to 4c hair. I've seen people in videos talk bad about each other from that mixed wavy hair girl that says she's better than YOU because of her wavy hair to the 4c girl that says you aren't black enough because you have WAVY hair. DON'T YOU GET IT BY NOW ITS ALL BAD!

HunieBee29: Pre poo treatments help to protect the hair shaft from anyway damage or dryness that may occur when shampooing the hair. NappyFu has made a video on prepooing and stated that allowing oil to sit in your hair before your washing process, your hair shaft won't swell with water and break off. The main point of a prepoo isn't to moisturize your hair, it's to protect it. Just thought I should let everyone else know. :)

Jammy Sue: I only agreed with the last one. There is no such thing as a cure for heat damage or dead ends at that. The rest I 100% disagree with. Those things work with my hair. My hair is so much better and easier to manage when I prepoo. The deep conditioning helps when I want a more defined wash and go. I said already but, the hair typing helps me find specific products that work best for my hair.

Michelyn Boateng: I agree with everything you said and more, people cannot take the truth tho, but for the pre poo, I think it is the way it is done, I do not use a conditioner to "pre poo" since it doesn't do anything but tangle my hair, so what I use is OIL to "pre poo" since it keeps my soft and makes detangling easier. Excellent video!

Shantia Allen: some of these growth remedies can die too. you take care of your hair and it will grow. all that monistat, onion juice, inversion method can die lol

_annica: I'm actually totally fine with hair typing. I just see it as a means to describe the types of curls in a natural person's hair. Particular hairstyles, products and shrinkage may affect a person with 4a hair differently than 4c hair. (Yes, people have different types of curls throughout their hair, but we're still going to type our hair regardless, whether you say "4a" or "coily," 4b or "kinky" or 4c or "kinky coily.") Ironically, people also seem to *overgeneralize* hair types. I don't agree with the way the term "natural hair" has become so broad that people who've never ever felt pressure to perm their hair are suddenly opening channels for 'natural' hair. Like, girl you have baby soft curly hair. If anything, people told you that you had "good hair" growing up.

sachi615: You actually should but lotion (oils, rather) On your skin before you get in the shower (particularly when you're going to shave). when you're shaving, if you've out an oil on the area before hand it reduces the risk of razor burns and your skin will feel super soft when you get out of the shower. It also reduces skin irritation. I prefer coconut oil for this! That's essentially the point of pre-pooing, but for your hair.

rachelmm05: Another natural hair trend that needs to die is water only hair washing. Thats just like standing in the shower wetting your skin for a few minutes but not using any soap to wash away the funk and dirt. It makes absolutely no sense smh. Another one that needs to stop is the Dont use any combs trends. If your hair is super thick kinky coily like mine by not using a comb it will get matted, it will get tangled and it will be a mess. Even back in Ancient times people used combs and other styling tools on hair. Using a comb and other styling tools doesnt mean you dont accept yourself or any other kind foolishness. Stop the madness folks

popprincess3601: "I have this homemade ____ that will make your curls just pop. First you must travel to the depths of the Amazon, find the rare and thought to be extinct dodo bird, find only the most organic of its eggs .... *blah blah blah*... and once the substance has boiled for 24 hours use it immediately 'cause it only lasts a week in the fridge!" If I can't make it in 20 or less, it's just not for me.

Temeka Kail: I disagree with the prepoo and deep conditioning for hours. Most women with low porosity hair need a longer deep conditioning time. The strands are usually closed tight and need to open up in order to receive the moisture. Hydration alone doesn't cut it. Also, for me I only prepoo to detangle. You have noooo ideas what I have to deal with if I just dunk my head under water!!! It will be a tangled atrocious mess. Lol! Been there done that.

temporarymusiclover: I don't prepoo but I'm assuming if you hair is really tangled to make wash day easy prepoo would break up some of the tangles before shampooing or whatever. The one I do agree with you on is the not shampooing. Like shampoo is to clean your hair and conditioner is to add moisture they are made to work together. What works for one person may not work for you why come at people for what they choose to do with there hair.

LavenderVee: I love it! ...ok...can we get away from length checks..eye length..neck length. .butt length....who freaking cares...enough already..that can go and be buried

Naturally_Vonn B: Natural hair rules or styles that need to die 1: Over using products to define curls 2: bogus hair growth overnight 3: baby hairs

Tanjae: Nothing wrong with pre-poo

NaTuRaLsHaTaRa: my hair grew alot when washing once a month

DontMindCookie: lol I think for a lot of us, the deep conditioning over night is more so a time or scheduling thing. It's more convenient that way for me. I'm also not rinsing this expensive ass product down the drain after only 15 minutes. Hahaha

cymonroe: I'm screaming over here! You're sooo right, and it all makes sense. We're unique and wonderfully individual. It took so long for ANYONE to teach natural hair care that we got stuck on anything that companies say work for us...we spend $$$ for beauty, but the bottom line...we simply need to cleanse, moisturize and protect our hair. That's what we do for our face, hands and body. I think natural is just that way...NATURAL, and it's beautiful.

Miriam: LOL!!! too funny! In regards to the pre-poo, if you are using a penetrating oil like coconut oil then it is fine. Some naturals use it to combat the effects of hydral fatigue (damage due to the cuticle swelling up) especially if they shampoo weekly. Pre-pooing with a conditioner is pretty pointless though.

Naturally _ Me777: All I can do is lmaoo. you're sooooo on point with this vlog. I want a part two. . another natural hair thing I feel must die is protective hair styling. hair is meant to wear out. if you take care of it it will grow. I hope to see a part two soon. tfs

Dani S: Your video, along with a lot of others in the "hair trends that need to die" category, have helped me to snap out of the trance I was in. I abandoned a lot of things that I know work for my hair, like using a comb instead of just my fingers, in the name of trying to be "truly natural". I ended up being unsatisfied with my hair the majority of the time, to the point where I was considering relaxing it after over five years of being natural. Now I do what feels right to me for my hair. I also agree with you on the hair type thing. I have hair at the back of my head that will curl with no help other than a spritz of plain water and stay that way even after it dries, but then there is hair at the front of my head that is as straight as steel wool and won't curl without spending two days in rollers. I like to watch videos for ideas on updos and such, but when they start talking curl definition for different hair types, I'm out.

Exotic Flower: pree poo makes my hair look and feel better

MC: I've always gone by what I learned from my old Biology teacher. Once conditioners are rinsed off the hair follicle its no longer working. That's when I ditched the lengthy deep conditioning treatments (unless I'm in a spa mood) and focused on leave-in treatments/conditioners. Also shortened my hair washing/conditioning span from once a week to every four days.

SerenelyDee: Well I deep condition overnight not because I think it's necessary it's because I'm lazy. I start washing my hair at night then I put the deep conditioner on and never feel like washing it out so I finishing washing my hair the next day.

Defanie Rogers: I want to like this video 1K times! I've been natural for 2 years and I don't do any of those trends. I've definitely seen videos and always wonder....why the heck does it take all this

Tonya Hairston: I agree! I stopped a lot of the " hair rules" a couple of yes ago and my hair is just fine.

Kris L: For the first one: False analogy comparing hair to legs BUT for some of us with really kinky hair, the extra moisture (before a stripping shampoo) is needed and reaps benefits. Other than that, I feel you with the other trends (especially hair typing)

AlwaysTheEssence: isn't heat training an old trend? isn't that just called heat damage now? lol

William Thomas: I hate when hair gurus say certain products are no good for you. it's products I've used when I was a kid and never had an issue! Use what works for your hair!

Ricki S: great video!!! my hair grew once I stopped with all them ridiculous rules , less is more , keep it simple .

Kia86: I have been natural for over 7 years and never done a pre-poo, overnight deep conditioning and never not washed my hair. And the hair defining system is just another way to pit black women against each other. Its like comparing skin complexions just dumb and ignorant.

Ro Ry: I sorta disagree. The videos that i watch have girls with long full hair. Obviously those things work for them so the trends shouldnt necessarily die its just clear that it doesnt cut it for some people

Queenknic: Iknowlee, I totally agree with all of these! THE NATURAL HAIR COMMUNITY DOES TOO MUCH! I'm going on 6 years of being natural must of the stuff folks suggest we should do I have left at the door! I enjoyed wearing color(that seems to be the number 1 natural hair sin) I dont press my hair often maybe twice a year when i get my ends pressed. I realized different practices and products work differently. Everything doesn't work on everybody. Just be free and run your own race!!!

Jen Jen Jenny: I agree with 4 of these.. but pre poo has really been good for me since I've added it to my routine.. my hair has grown faster and feels more soft and manageable..

Michelle Enger: What you said about hair type was spot on! Loved it! It's become too divisive and does feel a lot like racism.

sgrave246: Thank you @iknowlee for this video. It is not only truthful but also hilarious. I agree with you on everything except heat training hair. Hair cannot be trained to accept heat. you can do things that provide heat protection but training ... nope. Hair is not a circus animal.

Jamie Braxton: I really enjoyed watching this video, you were hilarious. It was great seeing you again, I like these kind of videos because everyone has different views and opinions on what they do or don't do to their own hair and it's ok. TFS❤

TheEdukator: It's refreshing to see this lighthearted video from you!!! I love it! ❤

Kay Von Kent: Hey sis! I love your hair! I have to agree and disagree with some of these of course. The pre poos help keep my hair moisturized if I get a shampoo that seems to be strong and it helps keep my hair detangled. I don't like the hair typing, but I do like the porosity characteristics which have helped me a lot with my hair. I agree with you that you should not be deep conditioning your hair for 17 hours especially sleeping on it as this just made my hair more tangly. I also don't agree with the get-fixed- quick schemes, not shampooing your hair(thank goodness for sulfate-free shampoo) I think that shampoo massage brush thing needs to go. I have one of those things and I barely use it. I don't have time for it and it does nothing for me

Audia James: Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm with you on all of them. I used to deep condition for hours, it was too much. You know they are coming with that heat train comment lol. Great video! Keep them coming.

Sori Yazz: lmbaooo girllll youre in my head. its not that serious. Another thing is girls following girls that has a totally different type of hair and their curls will ALWAYS LOOK BETTER but they ask what products do you use. lmao. im like stop please. Natural hair is not new people. our mother aunts etc wore their hair like this years ago

Trevinia Turner: I agree with everything except hair typing. Hair typing helps me to get an "idea" of how my hair can look as it gets longer and it helps me predict how my hair will look with hair tutorials, etc.

Nyemah C: funny and absolutely true!! I agree with all of these! although, I was able to revert like 90% my heat trained hair back to curly. the front won't budge tho. great vid!

Xavier Wright: I WAS WAITING FOR THAT NUMBER 3 thank you, the Andre walker hair typing system ultimately is ineffective bc it does not take into account ethnicity and how that effects hair texture, hair porosity, curl size and shape, how hair reacts to different products and retains moisture, etc. at the end of the day hair is hair and it is all beautiful, death to racism in the natural hair community

Miss Not Nice: I totally agree with you on this I'm here trying to figure out how to get my hair to look good but all these craziness gets to me

Cymone Stewart: The pre poo serves a purpose because for instance if you use coconut oil it will collect and loosen all the dirt from your hair to make it easier to wash out while you shampoo. It will help you get clean results.

Ayoola Ogunyimika: Isn't "heat training" just intentional heat damage?

Raven K: Detangling before shampooing is a must! I do a clay mask before shampooing and I kid you not my wash day is instantly cut in half. I don't use the clay for cleansing or anything but the silica in the clay makes my hair so manageable it's ridiculous

Horribad Gamer: My Hair Maintenance: I only wash my hair once or twice a week with "actual" Raw Honey (that naturally cleans and conditions my hair/scalp), gently towel-dry pat my hair, use no styling hair products, minimal combing/brushing; only enough to prevent knots, and I try not to braid or tie up my hair too much. I'd say I have very good hair; not the best, but certainly above average.

ItsMeJennid: I love this video haven't laughed at a natural hair video in along time. All of these are true and its plenty more so please continue. Mine are laid edges and that coconut oil solves everything.

MIIX MII: Omg! I love this and I love you!!! This had me cracking up because I will never forget a time (when me and my sister lived together) I came home and she was literally standing on top of her head. I'm like girl wth are you doing?! And her response was it helps her hair grow by getting blood to her scalp. I could've fallen out! BUT I also agree with the hair typing bit. People ask us on our channel all the time and I really don't understand what difference it makes. Bc whether your hair is kinky or straight .. if it's dry it needs moisture. If the ends are split it needs to be cut. Anyway...that's my 2 cents. PS I had to subscribe bc you're hilarious ! xo, whitney

Jai Hamilton: I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH ALL 5! Yes ma'am. Can't wait to hear the rest!

Maddie K.: I'm 15 years old and relaxed, I've been thinking about going natural these past few months, but I like it when my hair frames my face and I wish I had a looser curl pattern. Any suggestions for what I should do? I'm just in a constant battle :(

brook2feet3: I am grateful for the hair trends because not knowing much about my natural hair it gave me a start. After trying them I learned what to keep and what to late go.

Sierra Upshaw: This was so funny and accurate! You should definitely do another one!

pearlsamb82: I'm with you on the DC overnight thing! If it doesn't do well in 30 mins with heat,  then it doesn't work for me. Point Blank! My wash day is long enough for me without adding OVERNIGHT to it!

TiffyStewart: I will always prepoo. It keeps my hair from getting super tangled and stripped from the shampoo. I can get the shampoo to get my scalp really clean without super tangles with a prepoo.

Trini Girl Natural: pre poo is life, stylists don't know about hair health, they need to stay in their lane

Enomys Hsa: Pre-pooing with coconut oil helps prevent your hair from being stripped by the shampoo. The oil also helps breakdown dirt and oils that may have built up.

MsGH91: Good video. I've never pre-pooed or overnight conditioned and I've been natural damn near my whole life lol. People are out here not washing their hair forreal?! That's just nasty. How about the whole "natural hair trend/movement" just needs to die period. I'm a natural and have been for over 15 years of my life...can't we all just love and except our natural hair no matter what the texture is, no matter what products and techniques we use to take care or style our hair and not have to follow the 'rules' created for being natural? But hey what do I know lol *kanye shrug*

Carla Ann: THANK YOU! My biggest thing that needs to die is the not washing your hair! You said it best "THAT'S NASTY"!!!!

PrinshellTV: Yes yes and more yesssssessssss!!!! You know I was over here giving all of my two cents! We need to sit together on these videos girlfran!!!

5chocolatedragon: I'm tired of the "mixed-girl curl" being the only hair widely celebrated in the natural community. People don't seen to care for kinky coils unless it's long.

khunt79: I, too go to Prinshell and everything Helecia said is exactly what she's told me since I began going to her five years ago. That hair type is the first thing she told me to stop doing! Kudos to you, Leelee!!!! Keep it real, boo!

TressesOfAlexis: some people forget that there is no "one-sized fits all" with natural hair. Love this video.

Sheree Morgan: I agree on all points! Who ever started some of these trends, needs to stop. I use what works for me. I tried the pre poo once. It is a waste of conditioner, for me. This is definitely one of the best videos on YouTube!

Mrs. Mrd2knyn: I do all the things she says not to do ❤️ except the shampooing which every 1-2 weeks. I Pre-poo with oils over night, deep condition over night. I am not going to stop because I believe it works and my hair is currently low porosity 3b hair bra strap length. I am trying for waist length. Need all the xtra I can get and I believe it works ☺️

lstubbs614: I died over and over!!! You are on point though!!! I NEVER pre-pooed and I could care less what my hair type is!

Lexy's Space: Great Video ! Im so happy that your spoke up for trends that needs to die !

ruby14444: Girllll YESSS, so happy with this video......we were born with this hair, only you know what your hair like and don't like.....and all these "hair guru's" out there stop trying to "teach" ppl how to care for their hair with stuff that work for 'You" and only "You"....enough with the foolishness...........Love this, give us more girl

Jaleesa W: This was so good! Especially the pre-poo. I never got that. just... just shampoo lol. Thank you for this I enjoyed it and can't wait for the next!

Jessica O'Neal: I hollered several times! Guilty of a sleeping in my conditioning cap. Really just because I didn't have the energy to "tackle" my hair all in one night.

Chateux Lachic: Much needed video.. I've fell victim to many of these when I returned to natural 4/5 years ago...

Jasmine: I prepoo because I need to do a light finger detangle before my hair gets wet or it gets extremely tangled. But I get the point. And I agree on the "not shampooing your hair" thing. I can't imagine that

CKBarnett: pre pooing and overnight deep conditioning helps me a lot. Especially with detangling. my pillow does not get wet lol

Erwillow: This was spot on. I agree with every point (and admittedly did some of them back in the day).

Nakia's Hideaway: Phew! I don't do any of these... anymore lol. I've tried pre pooing and it was too much work. Used to deep condition overnight but makes wash day turn into daysss. Hate hair typing cause I still don't know. And used to go months without washing my hair. So gross! (No heat damage experience) So clearly I fully agree with you. Yassss girl! Lol!

Highmane10ance: Lmao @ "walking around with a soggy head" !! I was guilty on the prepoo and the DCing overnight early in my hair journey too

Addi's Journey: i have to disagree with the hair type thing. Knowing mine from other youtubers really helps me with EVERYHING from simply washing to blending with extensions and my transitioning!

Melissa Young: Girl I agree with everything you said"AMEN SISTA", you should have added this FOOLISHNESS about not combing you hair especially us girls with the kinky hair, that's just a DISASTER waiting to happen. I know those heads are a heaven for excessive tangles and knots

Little Won: Some people need pre-poo cos their hair tangles more than others. Yes we all natural but not all of it is the same. Yours may not need it doesn't mean the method is redundant

dosh0111: I honestly hopped on all of these trends at some point. What you mentioned about deep conditioning overnight made me laugh because I've been doing it for years. Recently I stopped doing it because like you mentioned...there's honestly no point. For the past month or so, I only deep condition 20-40 minutes with the best results in 5 years! It's crazy a simple change could make such a difference!

Coco Jo: Ladies, can we agree to let everyone do whatever they please with their hair and tend to your own? This is one trend that should die. Do whatever you think personally benefits your hair (being that it's YOUR HAIR).

Magic Power: Pre-poo makes it easier to wash hair, for me anyways. Deep conditioning over night is crazy ! You can wake up with a cold too

Cricket R: I must say I did waaaaay too much during my initial natural hair journey....waaaaay too much, purchased too many products, spent too much money, yada yada yada...once I started my simple wash routine and a simple nightly routine my hair flourished..!!! I agree, sometimes we natural chicks do too much..!
