Red Carpet Hair Trends: Sleek Waves

I liked it hey guys, so i'm just gon na go ahead and jump right into this video, i'm going to go ahead and section up most of my hair and leave out about this much on the bottom. Now i'm going to go ahead and spray, my hair generously, with hairspray i'm going to spray each section and then just comb her out and now i'm going to go ahead and wrap my hair around the wand, i'm keeping my wand horizontal that'll, make the difference between Waves and regular curls so just keep it as horizontal and as unison throughout your whole head as possible. So once you feel your hair is hot, all the way through almost too hot, to touch, go ahead and remove that wand and now we're just gon na go ahead and clip the curl into place. That'Ll let set and make the curl a lot stronger. Now you should have something that looks a little something like this. Now i'm going to go ahead and repeat this process around my whole head. The key to getting perfect waves is to try and make sure that your curling iron is in the same position all around your head, so everything is in unison. Also, you want to keep your curling wand as horizontal as you possibly can. I know sometimes it's kind of hard when you're in those awkward positions, but you just got ta, do it to get that old hollywood. Looking bang, i'm going to go ahead and curl the side with the most hair on it towards my face and the other side away from my face skipping right ahead, i'm taking the front section of my hair, which is my bang and curling it towards my face. The higher up you hold the wand, the more volume you have, so i'm just going to curl that and pin it in place and do the same with the other part of my top section. Another thing to remember with this look is to try and keep your hair flat to the wand as flat as you can. Sometimes it naturally just wants to make a twisted coil, try and just straighten that out and keep it all flat. Once you finish, all of your curls go ahead and let it set for a little while, so everything is completely cool. I let mine sit for about five minutes, go ahead and remove those pins and you're gon na have some curly suit, curls the tighter the better. So don't be freaked out it's supposed to look like this um. The next step is to go ahead and brush through your hair, and i know this step is a little scary because you just put so much work into your hair and you don't want to brush them out, but i promise you, your curls will stay if you Set them the right way and let it heat up to the full amount they will stay so now. The key is to just kind of mess around with it and kind of shape it. The way that you want it, i'm going section by section and doing some light back combing through my hair that'll help keep the wave in the place that i want it to be. Also give me a little more volume because i like big hair, so i'm just going to go ahead and back home and kind of form. The waves myself and it's probably going to look crazy like this at first, don't worry about it. Everything will come together in the end. It just takes a little bit of messing around with so after you get this side all situated the way that you'd like it to be it's time to smooth out our other side, i'm smoothing out the side with a less hair on it of my part. So i'm just going to go ahead and clip this off to the side. I noticed this was a really big trend this year on the red carpet. So i definitely wanted to do a look like this, so i'm just spraying my hair with hairspray and combing. It down so we get those flyaways away and i'm just kind of shaping it. The way that i would like it to be shaped spraying your hair with hairspray, first and then combing over. It will really pack down those little flyaway hairs. So now i'm just going to twist this side back to keep it nice and sleek on that side, and i know it's kind of hard to see because my hands are giant mungus and they're covering it, but i'm just twisting it off and pinning it to the Side now this step will help us shape the front of our hair. To be that nice wavy kind of look. These are not the ideal clips to do this with. I would prefer to have wave clips, but you know you work with what you got so i'm kind of shaping the way that i want my front to be so i'm pushing my bangs up a little bit and clipping them into place, and then i'm pushing my Bangs forward a little bit and pushing those into place, then kind of chill out for a while and let them set and then take them out whenever you feel that they're set in place. The main key to this look is to not freak out and just shape. Your hair, the way that you want to be shaped, it takes a little while, but it's totally worth it, and that is how i got this look.
