Hi, I'm Julia and I'm a hairstylist in Los Angeles, California, and today I'm going to talk to you about how dry shampoo works. So dry shampoo has been gaining popularity in the last couple years. It'S a great product to use. If you don't want to wash your hair everyday, if you sort of want to just refresh your look before you're going out in the evening, you can get dry shampoo in either an aerosol form or a powder form. I, like the aerosol form, because it's a little easier to distribute on the hair. You can figure out a little bit better where you want to put it. So how do you use it most of the aerosols? You have to shake up a little bit first, so you go ahead and do that, and this is my model Jenna. She hasn't washed her hair today and what we're going to do to sort of absorb the oils and a little bit of dirt. That'S in her hair is where we are going to section by section just really sloppily, just with your hands. Take a quick section: do a light spray and just go ahead and move up the head. You don't want to spray too close to the scalp, because sometimes dry shampoo can have a little bit of a white residue. That'S especially apparent if you have darker hair a little bit of spray on the side. A little spray like I said you don't have to be real specific with the partings you just sort of want to get it in by the scalp. And again you don't want to overuse the product because, like I said you can get a little bit of a white residue and it's really hard to get it out once you sort of spray the entire head, I just sort of run through with my fingers a Little bit make sure to distribute it all the way. Then what I do is I take my blow-dryer and I go ahead and do a quick blast just sort of all through the hair, and then I ended the cold blast as well, and there we go sort of absorbed a little bit of the oil and sort Of refreshed her hair, so she can go one more day without having to wash it

Ryan Richardson: I still don’t know how it removes the oil though :(

SauraElanthier: That is great for if you don't have a shower available to you. like on certain types of trips. I wouldn't do this for day-to-day use at home though =)

lickthecowhappy: This did not answer the question of HOW it works

Shelby Bentley: This is good too if you have oily hair and your alarm doesn't go off..

Brady: how to use, not how it works :(

Arizona Jewell: I wanted to know how it works, not how to use it. Also tell me why the chick in the barber chair had a straight up thousand yard stare lmao

MrJibblesGaming: Or you could just go ham on your hair until its a "lead paint" white!

banessa: No but I wanna know how the molecules make you hair not oily

Eva Suit: So how does it work?

Gustavo Javier: doesnt explain. click bait

Alisha Melissa: why?

David Kim: How is it not disgusting? The oil doesnt just disappear. It's just covered up by the shampoo and then dried, but still there nonetheless. This might work once in a while for people who don't build up oil that much over night, but you can't replace this over showering.

David Kim: thats disgusting.
