Hi loves welcome back to my channel issue, girly of idly and we're going to start the new year off right by leaving five natural hair trends in 2017. In regards to natural hair, there has been quite a bit of foolery, but being that is a new here. We'Re gon na start the e off right about the foolishness first, natural hair trend that we will be leaving behind is home, hair coloring. I understand that everybody wants to fall on a budget, understand that there are millions of YouTube videos and tutorials out there. That show you how to quote-unquote properly color your hair, listen sis. This is usually like one of the number one causes of breakage and unless you're some type of profession or you went through some type of professional training, it is not recommended that you do any home hair coloring unless it's like black cuz you're, not lifting your hair, But anything that involves bleach, you should be doing it at home, cuz and I'll. Honestly, we really really do not know what we're doing and your hair ends up being dry and brittle. Here'S the thing with home, hair coloring the things that we buy: over-the-counter at the drugstore at the beauty supply wherever, unless it's some type of professional stylist store. It'S really not that great of a quality which means that when you put it on your hair, it's not going to be as healthy and, let's just say, if you just don't quite get it right, you are risking breaking and damaging all of your hair, and it's Just not worth it pay a professional, a colorist, a hair stylist that has been licensed to do this and go get your hair colored, stop doing this home hair coloring we're gon na move forward in 2018, and just be better. If you knew better, you do better right, God will stop. This foolishness no address. Second natural hair trend that we need to leave in 2017 is home. Trims especially does think your ears accuse me when people are like I just in my hands. What does that even mean like you just was like snip, snip, snip, say: okay, it looks good, no sis, I see so many people that do these trims at home. Their hair is uneven. They'Re, not even cutting the right amount of hair off. Stop it just stop. Leave it alone, it does not it's just not as beneficial. Let someone else do your trims, where they can actually see your hair. Imagine the imagine trimming your handle back, look at how hard that is to get to that. Why are we doing this? Why are the hair at the bottom at the nape of the neck? That'S a little bit shorter, but there's probably still a little damage, because it's rubbing up against clothes and pillows sheets and blankets, whatever scarves coats? Are you trying to get back there? And then you wonder why your fro is shaped properly and it's uneven. It'S because you keep doing these home trims and you can't even see the back of your head you're, trying to use a mirror and a front end a mirror in the back to get it. Just leave it alone, you know just just stop it leave it in 2017, where it belongs in the past. Okay, we're not in dinosaur ages, we're gon na move forward and be more professional and proactive about our hair, which includes stopping trimming your hair at home. Okay, the third and natural hair train that we are going to leave in 2017 is okra. Yes, okra. If you have not seen these videos going around YouTube, people are bawling, okra, straining the little jail slimy texture and they're, putting it on their hair they're using it. As a jail they're using it as a leave-in conditioner, a deep conditioner, we don't stop this first of all. Okra does not smell good. Second of all, almost every single one of these videos that I have seen with okra. It has literally done just about nothing for the hair. You ain't got no curl definition. You ain't got no extraordinary whole, you don't have this super shine or moisture. Why are you using this? What'S the point? Whatever happened to flexi, if you wanna, you know kind of DIY your natural hair products, whatever happened to Fleck, sees why we can't just go back in today. That seems to work out pretty well marshmallow root. I would just do that / like okra for real. Then it's already, I see any just dripping down people face and the side they Nick come on down it's a new year. We'Re gon na have to do better. The 4th natural hair trend that we are going to leave in 2017 is all of these non-traditional. Hair growth methods, I've already talked about people using Monistat, yes, amount of stats on their hair to improve or speed up the growth we're not gon na get into there, because we already noticed a no. You should have left that in 2015. 16. 14. 13. All of that, but on top of that you know, people are using birth control pills how about biotin, that that seems to work pretty pretty well. How about that all this extra stuff that you know for effect is not supposed to be used for this purpose. Let'S not use it for that purpose. The purpose of birth control pills, the purpose of that is not and also grow, your hair. So we need to quit mm-hmm you're wondering why you getting rashes in weird places, your skin breaking how you got pimples and stuff. It'S probably because you use this stuff cheering. I know business use it for the wrong thing. Let it go, leave it back there right back. There cut in the in the past and the fifth and final natural hair trend that we are leaving in 2017. Is these relaxed edges or this relaxed leave up? I don't know who started this nonsense, but we're going to stop it right now, because, realistically, just let's just stop for a second. If you relax your leave out, are you in lecture edges? You might as well just relax your whole hair because, what's going to happen, is whatever portion is relaxed? It'S not going to curl back up again. So if you ever decide that you want to wear your hair out again, you don't have all straight edges or this middle part just straight and everything else gon na be crazy. So what you gon na do, what the hell you gon na, run, what you gon na roll it. If you twist it it's not gon na, come out like the rest of it. What are you gon na do and then, as he grows out, it's still gon na be curly kinky whatever at the top, and you have all these straight unions. What'S the point of it, wait a lace for it or do a for lace. So you ain't even got to worry about it. You can party whatever do what you want to do and your hair could just flourish underneath, but I don't know who came up with that bright idea, because that idea it just it's pointless and it makes absolutely no sense. Those are my five natural hair trends that we are for effects going to leave in 2017. If you have any other natural hair trends that you feel like, we just need to stop doing all together. Please leave them in the comments below I wanted to give a huge thanks to natural hair. Does care for sponsoring this video and partnering with me? Samantha Defoe: Professionals.have historically RUINED my hair. My hair has never been better since I stopped paying people to take my money and muck up my hair.

Fine Natural Hair and Faith: I just don’t understand the Vick’s or the OKRA or the Monistat. People are doing too much lol. It’s desperation I will still color my gray hair but I use henna so I don’t think that one counts. I slightly disagree on the end dusting because it helps with length retention when u just focus on individual hairs. My version of dusting is just cutting off single splits as I come across them. I agree that you definitely do need to get professional trims though. I tried to do my own full trim 3 years ago and what a disaster! A friend if mine used to do the relaxed leave our thing well over ten years and I hate to say it but her hair is still a mess I loved this video.

K Rob: I haven't tried okra but I won't put down others that have tried it. Not everyone will have access to flaxseed/linseed easily. Some may have easy access to okra and want to try something simple and natural that they can make themselves. Not everyone I have seen using okra were after curl definition either. I say if they like it then good for them. I may one day be curious to try it at least once since I do eat okra.

Nicky on Mission: I see a lot of folks using vicks!?
