Hi everyone welcome back to my channel and in today's video we are going to talk about how to correct orangey to warm reddish kind of roots, um, whether you've been coloring, your hair at home or you've been getting salon color. However, a couple weeks into your color, your hair, just goes into this unwanted orangey reddish mess. So, as you guys know, since we began quarantine, i started doing virtual consultations to help you guys uh with your color needs and basically so i can help you reach your hair goals at home and what i've learned through all of this and talking to new clients. Every day is how much this root color is an issue, so i'm just going to quickly explain basically what it is why it happens and for my diyers how you can do this at home. So basically, like i said, if you color your hair at home and say you color your roots, you're touching upgrades or you want to lighten your roots, drizzles may actually look great right away once you've done it, but it's more. That kind of really warm not really hot roots, but just basically what the hair evolves into that's, just not pretty so the reason this happens is because when you use a color, so not lightener, not toner, but when you use an actual color, it has a little Bit of lift and then a little bit of deposit, so that means it removes some of your natural pigment and adds in some artificial pigment. So, if you're removing more color than you're, putting in what's going to happen after a couple of weeks that artificial color is going to fade and what you're going to be left with, is that lift so in order to fix the problem from the root? Is to actually get good quality, lift one option which i feel like i see people do all the time is continuously tone and use purple shampoos and blue shampoos and anything to kind of correct that now. Yes, that can help. If you have the right shade for the hair color you're trying to achieve, but it's you're never really curing it you're just constantly maintaining it. Now, if you want to have a beautiful root color that is lighter than your original natural root color, you have to effectively lighten the hair. So that means you have to lighten the hair enough, so that then you can tone and deposit the tones you want into the hair so that they'll actually stay there and now the brighter you lift the hair the better. It is that kind of holding on to those tones. Now i feel like we're better understanding of this for blondes. We all know that for blondes you lift the hair as much as possible and then you add, like a purple, lilacy kind of toner and it helps balance out the yellow tones and you're left with this beautiful champagne sandy blonde. Now the exact same thing can be done for brown hair. So what i've found in the over 10 years of doing hair is when you want a beautiful shimmery light root that is not going to go orangey over time. You actually should over lift the hair. A little bit so say you want to go one level higher. I would actually lift two levels and then add a toner and that's where, because with that toner adding that deposit back, you are lowering it back one level. So in fact you only look. One level lighter, but it's actually going to be sustainable and it's actually going to stay there. So now that we understand what's happening to the hair, i'm going to show you my hair, when i only lift the roots with color. This is what i'm left with again unwanted kind of orangey level, sixes and sevens in my hair. Now, the best way to lift the hair effectively is to go in with a baby light. So it's a smaller version of a highlight so you're kind of going in finer, woven pieces of hair and you don't need a lot of foils. So for my lightener formula, i went in with 30 volume and i'm just going to weave out a few baby lights throughout just to get brightening at the roots. Then we're going to process this for about 45 to 50 minutes, then, when to remove these foils and then comes the magic part. This is where you can tone with a lower level, so something between maybe a six and an eight. If you want this kind of shimmery brown still looking color now, if you want something more in the blonde family, i would tone with something from like a 9 to a 10.. Additionally to that to make that root. Just look that much softer and more natural we're going to go and do a root tap doing a root. Tap is always just going to make your color look more expensive and more natural. So essentially, the root tap should kind of match your original root color. So, for me, it's about a level six right now, so i go in with redken shade cq in level 6n with some processing solution. This is deposit only so we're just going to apply that directly on the roots and we're just going to tap that on the roots throughout just to soften that root area. Now, right away from applying that root top i'm going to go in with the toner of choice. Now for me, because i am blonde - i am going to go in with a level 9 p by redken shades eq, and this is going to give me like a pearly blonde color but, like i said, if you're looking to have more of that beautiful sustainable brown Root, i would go in with a level seven or an eight, so i'm just going to be applying that in that mid section, that new area, where i just created a new, highlight we're gon na process that for about 18 minutes, the roots will have gotten just A little over 20 minutes and now we're all ready to shampoo. So, as you can see, if you kind of look at just my roots, they do look darker, even though i did have that highlight all the way to the root, but because of that root tab. The color is subtle and softer at the root than it is at the ends. If i bring my ends up to my roots, you can see how much lighter my ends are, and basically how much darker my roots are. Even though i feel like when you look at it straight on, it does look pretty blonde anyway. I feel this is a very simple concept on how to brighten the roots without running into that issue. In a couple of weeks of having unwanted warm tones in the roots, if you have been having this issue, i definitely recommend giving this a try if you're still somehow unsure of what level what shade you should be using, and you are looking for a virtual consultation With me, i always leave the info on how to book that with me in the description box down below, but i will continue to make videos this way to help you better understand - and hopefully you can from this video know what it is. You need for your hair, but of course, if you do need further assistance, just know that i am here available to help you all right guys. I hope this video was helpful. I hope you have beautiful, neutralized and tone roots from now on. I thank you guys. So much for watching i love you and i'll see you in the next one bye, guys

J Savannah: I had 3-4" of ugly warm banding from level 8 tint touch-ups on my naturally ashy level 6 hair. During quarantine, I followed your previous baby lights and toning tutorials (which is what you are explaining in this new video.) It completely fixed my problem! I only wished I had discovered it sooner because I hated that warm outgrowth. I'm sorry to see what has happened to your industry this year. You are a very good teacher and I appreciate your efforts to show us DIY.

Diane Carter: Thank you so much for confirming what I am planning on doing as far as lifting my new roots! After I lifting the entire new growth, I have been applying lightest golden blonde (level 10) with a "No Red" color correction due to the amount of natural red tones in my hair. My natural color is a level 6 to 7 with approximately 30% grey. Currently I have an inch of new growth. I was wanting to ask how much new growth do you typically want before lightening your new growth? Any suggestions would be very helpful . Thank you again for such an awesome video! I look forward to seeing you in the salon soon!! Hopefully we will all be getting back to our lives but with precautions. . Any VLOGS coming our way for shopping (Sephora), clothing or new makeup tutorials for fall trends 2020?? Sounds like a great time!!

Kathryn Scade: Thank you for your amazing videos. I have a question specific to toning. I just went much lighter at the hairdresser. She did a base break on all of my 2-3 inches of regrowth, and did lots of highlights. I love the highlights, but the lifted base color is in between gold yellow and slight orange. The crown area is really too bright/brassy. I know a violet based toner combats yellow and a blue based ash toner combats orange, but what will happen to my lightest pieces if I try to tone the more light orange areas with a blue based toner? I'm worried the palest parts (level 9/10 I believe) will turn green. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

CanDoesIt: I'm so glad you did this video. Thank you so much. This is actually a really big problem for alot of people. I have been to the salon so many times and they still can't fix it. It's crazy because I have been told so many times to "bring inspo pic" and even when I do I still get some weird variation of red blonde with golden blonde highlights here and there. It's just annoying!!

Erin Loh: This is such a good video and explained so well. Thank you girl, you are amazing!!!

MegGyver: I am totally comfortable doing this and have been retouching my own highlights since March, but what I haven’t found is a Demi gloss that even comes close to shades EQ for toner. What toning product available to the public do you recommend? The wella toners (that are really permanent color) blow my level 4-5 base up and turn it orange even when I use 10 volume.

Nadine Barna: Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I can't say it enough! I finally managed to get rid of those meh orange-ish outgrown roots! And having quite the same hair colour as you made the decisions even easier! I used the same toners Greetings from Austria

Marcia Garcia: Ive been doing almost exactly the same . I tone my roots with 9,21 1o volumes ox for 20 minutes after retouching grays with 7. It works for me

Ellamier Rose: Because most of us are doing more diy hair stuff I wanted to mention that there is this trend of using baking soda with peroxide as a "no damage" lightening solution. So, I tried that a few months back and while it Did lighten the hair it was very harsh and it was very damaging. I ended up having to cut about 2 inches off my length and then dusted to get rid of all my fried ends. Not to mention that I had to shampoo my hair and rinse multiple times to get the grit out of my scalp and hair. It was just a nightmare lol stick with bleach imo! Thanks for the video, I trust your advice and you look stunning as always!

CichlidChic: Your baby lights and shades root tap tutorial has been magic! The only good salon by me has a 5-6 month waiting time for the colorist, and I can't wait that long, who can?

First Name Last Name: Excellent detailed and specific explanation! Thank you!

Dawn B: Thank you so much for these videos. I know my hairdresser is so very good, and just a real sweetheart. We have been struggling with my roots pretty much 3+ years though. I am almost 50 and a natural mousey brown, I always pull red. She has gotten me super light blonde, but I have a lot of damage now, even with olaplex. I’d say mid to ends. She does not over lap, but I went once to a closer salon and the baby highlights the lady did all over obviously overlapped even though she promised she wouldn’t. Anyhow, I stopped the highlights with my girl and have just been getting root touch ups to cover my grey. Religiously every 5/6 weeks.I can’t understand why we/she can’t get them to be a chocolatety brown.? Seems like sometimes they are and other times they are so orangey. It kills me to leave feeling so orange and all the time and cost ☹️ She has been having a hard time with COVID/young children etc so I have purchased product pre measured from her once. It turned out lovely when I did it‍♀️ my last visit I had to go to a coworker and it looked great when I left, but after one wash bam orangy again. I’ve been using purple shampoo once a week to try and hide. I feel you can help with a formula that will work for me, after watching this particular video I see your hair looks just like mine did before I starting going grey. How can I get a consultation please?

Kristan Gray: What about going from almost solid blonde to wanting a bunch of low lights? Is there a way to get a really ashy brown color in a level 6-7 to stay and not fade to gold so quickly?

Jamie Hammond: Lady you are a LIFE saver!!! Luckily I didn't have to lift my hair but a little 6n knocked my orange out enough to be tolerable or even better. I had a root tap that went all wrong and was losing my mind. Thank you so so much for sharing your knowledge!!!!!!

E RG: Hi Elle, love your videos, I learn so much from them. There is only one question about the root tap. Can you explain the exact mix ratio for the root tap and what level is the processing solution you use? Thank you so much.

Jane Smith: This was so helpful! I've been looking all over for advice on how to effectively color brunette hair without the orange. I'm wanting to go neutral blonde on my lengths and ends but a 6 on my roots, so you're saying I should lighten my roots to an 8 to achieve a 6? Or can I just lighten my entire head to a 9?

J Flo: Hi. Excellent information. I use Natural Instincts light blonde on my hair just to blend the gray with my dark blonde to light brown hair. Natural Instincts is semi permanent but seemed to be doing the job. I had been applying it to the roots only - every 2 months. The last time I used it I had waited 4 months between colorings and reapplied to the 2” of root growth and it did almost nothing. I left it on for 30 min as usual. Any idea what happened? I called Clairol but they didn’t know what went wrong. Thank you.

Blush Crown: *YOU LOOK EXTRA STUNNING HERE!!! I’m always following your advice! Learned so much from you!* ‍♀️

Michelle 1977: So what colour would we at home use for a root tap ? In the wella shades as you showed on other video , thanks btw saving us the shame of DIY mistakes

Lee Trader: Love your videos. Here’s my issues I have very tight frizzy curls on the dry side. Us curls just can’t color like this...

Kindra Jayne: I love your videos I recently went blonde and your information is so valuable I’m so thankful for it!

Tana Carroll: I just went to Ulta and paid $190 to get my brown grown out roots highlighted and this is exactly what happened. My hair is more orange than blonde. I don’t like it but I don’t like being a complainer either. It’s been two weeks and it appears to be getting more orange over the last two weeks. I just wanted my bit of gray and my dark roots lifted to blonde like the bottom bc it had grown out a lot with the covid lockdown. I guess I should call and see if the guy will make it right. First time this has ever happened. Not sure why this happened?

brianna westphal: This always happens to me thanks for the info!! I don't color at home but even once I get it done a few weeks later I get the warm toned instead of the light color I want

Steph'e: You are great! Very clear, finally I understand! Thanks xx

Mavens Gather: Coming from a fellow stylist... Best video on YouTube for this problem hands down!

Cindy O: What do you recommend for those of us that do like/want warm colors? My hairdresser left my highlights orange/copper :( But I wanted something more of a caramel color.

Yasia DL: I had my dark ashy blonde hair dyed (highlights plus dye) in a lighter shade a few days ago and ended up with brassy roots, and also a colour way lighter than what I had in mind. The hairdresser didn't want to put a toner on straight away, and told me to come back in a week if I am still unhappy. How do I explain this to him? He had proposed to put a few extra highlights to balance it out, but I am really looking for that natural darker ashy blonde transition. I am feeling like I just lost my hair so please any advice on what to ask for is welcome.

Qaliforni_Ana LA: Hi Elle, thank you for the video. SoI am brunette who wants to achieve a Level 7A without the Red/Orange. What Toner would you suggest? (I do use Wella products)

Nikora Irimana: Thanks,, I've watched your videos before but re-watching again makes so much more sense. Love your videos. xx

amanda roberts: First of all you are GORGEOUS! and second thank you so much! All your videos are literally life saving info! I appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge with the world where other haordressers dont...You are a badass

L S: Perfect timing.. you have no idea how much I needed this!!

Casandra Exiga: I went to get my hair done two days ago and my hair stylist over-toned my hair and my roots are now orange! Will this method help me since my roots are orange because of the toner rather than turning orange over time?

Joan Gentile: I love your videos, Sylvia!! I love your hair color!! It's beautiful!!

Pretty Paws: Hi Sylvia, you make amazing videos. Thank you so much for sharing your amazzzing info. What about gray hair? It is different than a natural or coloured hair colour. There are different levels of gray on a head. They are rarely ever all the same. The colour lighter on top and darker in the back of the head. The top can be dyed with a colour to a level 8 -9. So you are blonde. But the back - underneath can only be dyed to a level 7 RUST tone. Eek!! Would luv to know how lighten the back without bleach? Do not wish to use bleach. Perhaps with an accelerator that is not bleach? Scruples has one. How about a High lift blonde with 30 or 40 volume? Or, what about dying the whole head with a level 7 and 8 - 1/2 and 1/2 with an ASH Blonde? Could this result in a medium ash blonde all over evenly and cancelling out all red tones? Will toner and purple shampoo work properly on dyed hair? Would luv to have the answers to these questions. You are definetly one of the BEST with hair.

Lara: I was always afraid to lift too light because I'm trying to have that bronde look. But my hair is brassy after only a week! So I'm going to lift lighter even though it's scary :)

LYD VINCE CRUZ: Thanks a lot for sharing this video.I needed it.Too much problem in the past I stop bleaching because of the things I encountered and still not confident doing so.

Mildred Reyes: My Gosh! You are the Blonde Hair Wiz! Y'all, I've followed her job for over 3 years. Silvia is not only an expert but a professional who is not afraid to share her knowledge FOR FREE!!! If she's not an angel, at least is a pretty good person. Sorry for being cheesy... maybe it's this quarantine, but I have to add --> Watching her videos is almost going to counseling. You get therapy for depression, anxiety, and cry spells! Thank you, Silvia :)

Melanie Hale: Oh man doing foils at home gives me SUCH anxiety! I did that once after watching videos and feeling over ambitious . It burned my hair off. The hair ended up left in the foils. ☺️☺️☺️

Katt Tam: I went lighter . There's this product they used on my hair. Im not sure if it's the shampoo, Conditioner, or the toner. It made my hair really soft even after shampooing for weeks. Is there a product you suggest that is the closest to what they used?

FabyGlam: This video was awesome! I have one quick question, is there a permanent toner you recommend for this (also is color completely out of the question then?). Because you mentioned this is kinda maintenance (since eq shades fade pretty fast) but are there any alternatives for us who want the colors permanently? Ish? Thank you so much! ❤️

Ariana Falcione: Hey Elle! Did a 10N root color (color gels) on a level 5/6 but only used 25 vol on her fine fine hair. Lifted orange. Broke it up with highlights but she still sees orange. 2 days ago.. doing again tonight would you just shadow root on dry hair to neutralize with 7n shades eq?

Eva Lopez: So, is the root tap process basically adding color back to your hair? Wont this color the highlights you just put on? Or is a root tap a toner? Thank you

Tracey Lynn: Great video!!! I can imagine that this IS a hot topicThank you for sharing your knowledge Silvia

Kristin Popp: When covering greys with Redken color gel lacquers. Does it have to be an NN, NA or NW in the mix or can it be just an N on its own? I've heard both‍♀️

Karen McCann: Silvia what do you think about the Shampoo bars that color your hair dark? I'm curious if they are any good and if they are better for the hair and scalp.

Joanne Lindner: I lLove your explanation- so clear and informative. But what if you want to do a lightening from level 5 to a 9 and root tap for brown hair, but I have about 25% gray hair. How does the process change for me?

Claudia Gouveia: Just wondering, I’m trying dye my hair cooper but I have a big root growth so I’m scared it becomes more ginger/bright orange on my roots, how do I avoid that ?

Suzette Smith: I just recently went to a newer salon. I have white hairs and bleaching it wasn't helping my whites. So the new stylist went in where my whites were with a level 3 and highlights. Finally did cover my Grey's but left it light enough without making me to pale

aritaffcosta: Thanks for these videos! Can you make a video about softening a root getting orange before the retouch on an only HL colored (highlift) hair? Cause I have no bleach and want no bleach but in the between retouch the color gets a little on orange side ... do it every 15 days so.. ( I’m a level 4 and use Keune 1519 which gets me to a level 8 toned but in that between it gets a bit orangie) should I use an 8? This you did with bleach is not a solution for cases like mine. I would very much appreciate! Greetings from Portugal!

Dinky Iam: I bleached my hair and toned it and some parts of my hair was a nice blonde and the other part was orange What should I do to get the brassy orange color out ?

Jessica FB: So to get the level 7 from a medium brunette, I should lift all of my hair first and then deposit a level 7 toner? I've been wondering how to do this. And what if I also want highlights? Should I lift all of my hair and then separate out pieces to tone 9 and the rest 7? Not sure if you'll see this, but thanks if you do!

Going Back to Our Roots: Omg thank you! This is so helpful

NotJustAnother Mother: Hey Elle, could you please review blondme and do a session using it? I’m looking at the vol7 with bleach and the pastel and dark toners.

Justpinklady: Would the red neutralizer ruin my blonde balayage ends if I would to use it on my whole head? Or should I just keep it only to my roots and red spots close to the balayage?

It’s Jess: Your so beautiful and has saved me from my toner dilemma!

Mel's World: Are there Sally’s beauty supply versions of this ?

teebz: Can anyone help me - I'm doing a semi-perm shadow root at home of level 7 after bleaching to level 8/9 on my natural level 3 roots, which works really nicely but wondering about maintenance... will the semi perm fade so I can then bleach my natural roots when they grow and start from scratch or do I need to slightly over lap bleach onto previous shadow root? Im not sure how much it will fade yet. Any advice greatly appreciated :) Thanks!

Yuby Hernandez: You give the best tips. Omg!!! So professional

Aymee VanDyke: This was a great help. Going to try this.. Thanks so much.

Melissa Derak: Great video but I would like to know what you do over time to maintain all the blonde on the ends

Minica Estilette: Thanks girl, I'm gonna be lightning my hair later today, wish me luck, n my hair is brown med

Zephyrs shows: Plz explain how to not get a yellow band when bleaching long roots, ive asked a lot of hair dressers on YouTube and Nadia but your the person who inspired me to go platinum and I’ve gone a bit to long in between bleaching but I don’t wanna have platinum roots and platinum tips and a yellow band in between if you know what I mean.. love ya sylvia

user739: you are the godess of hair. Most informative and educational youtube hair stylist.

Karla Solis Muñoz: Hello, I would like to know what toner to use to tone my medium and long since I have yellow and light orange highlights, help me choose the correct one, please thank you

MegaTinni: Video request: brown balyaged and babylighted hair that is still warm --> work with the orange or lighten farther and add desired shade back in?

Pamala Darsow: Do you have to apply toner after you bleach your hair if you re dyeing your hair grey ?My hair was a level 6 and is about a level 9 now

Kara Reyes: I have strawberry blonde hair which I went more auburn with darker warm brunette lowlights and blonde highlights. Not only did the highlights not stay contrasting for long, but how do I deal with roots that are naturally "brassy" or blend lighter hair into the darker hair? So many videos show darker roots coming in

Michelle B: Love your videos. How do you get the ends so light?

Coleen O’Brien: I’m on my fourth video from you adding to my basket as I go could I ask about the red Ken toners? I’m looking at the platinum toner too what is the difference with the 9p you used?:)

Ashley Mova: I just got my hair done a couple weeks ago and a lot of warmth is shining through the root smudge (I think thats what it's called haha). I keep putting blue shampoo on the roots in hopes it'll help but it seems to just cling on to the light ends as I wash it out. Would love a video on how to tone warm dark roots for a balayage with lighter ends

Kayla Hnatiuk: okay so I messed up a minor (NOT so minor!!) step in this process... After lightening my brown hair (balayage) to basically white, I realized I didn't have enough toner left and didn't want to go to the store that night. I had a 9A permanent dye so I used that with 10 vol. developer. It ended up coming out wayyyy more yellow than I wanted and the developer lifted some color from my roots making them quite orange... NOW WHAT?!?! Any advise is greatly appreciated!!! I thought about doing a root shadow and toner over it but will that be enough now that its dyed? I would rather not re-bleach it all cuz its already so damaged but is that my only choice to get this 9A out and get the ashier tones that I was going for?? It's hard to tell but I think the developer also lifted some of the brown ends I had left out of the balayage bleach; it all looks very yellow and orange! do i just re-dye all by hair brown?! Is there any saving this? Thanks so much <3

megan lash: Any suggestions for me? I am a natural level 7 with about 50% gray. I go darker to cover my gray, level 6 or 5 and ALWAYS have orange/red hair when the sun hits it even though I use neutral or ash color.

Imran Usmani: You are truly a life saver. Best one ever

G Love: This is the best video so so informative thanks so much xxx

Glenda Chacon: Great video! Thanks so much

Lorna Holmes: I applied a demi colour as a root smudge to my natural colour as highlighted to high, it's faded out brassy and lighter than my roots, am I using a colour lighter than my natural root or shall I be using permanent? Thanks xx

Wendy: Sylvia you are so beautiful first off and thank you bc I'm going down the low and slow process of going blonde right now I'm blorange haha but considering consulting with you my friend for sure thank you so much for this information and God bless you and yours

geffy lorenzon: I'm such a big fan. Love this channel ❤️

Sabrina: Thank you for this

Anna Hayes: But how do you lift the roots without touching the rest of your hair for an even deposit that will lighten the roots by a little and darken the rest by two more shades?

Andreea Deea: Can you make a video how to do highlights at the back of the head? It's so haaard to do it yourself.

Daily D: Thanks for the video. Your hair came out beautiful

Erika Moreno: I love you, I’ve been watching you for years!!! I ran into someone at sallys and they were also watching your videos lol #Hairgoddess

eva psachulia: Perfect video !!!! precious informations ❤️thanks beautiful Silvia

Stella whittee: Does she have a list of products . I want to try this

N. Tulin Tacettin: You explain so well thank you so much. For bleaching you said you used 30 vol developer but when you said the tones 6-8 you didnt mention the developer. You said processing solution. So you didnt use developer??? In trying to do this on my own. Thanks again.

Adrianna _: It would be nice if you would show the products used & how to mix .. I need to fix mines lol

Nene Andrade: What is the best oil for extremely dry bleached hair

Bam Glam Buzz: Can you recommend bleach that we can get on amazon? And toner we can get too? I always use Wella but it’s too harsh

ghetto rockstar: Hi!! I have a important question because im planning on doing a balayage/highlights on my own hair with ashy tones, so I had my hair bleaches last year and died it back 5 months ago, so I have box die over salon done bleach, can you tell me everything ill need to do my hair? and yes I know some points of my hair will lift quicker than others

Kari Livingston: This was a helpful video thank you! And I usually get Redkin 9V, what makes it different than the 9P - is it the pearly shade?

ExcellentFancy: This may sound like a ridiculous question, but how do the ends end up being so light once the hair which was once at the root (which was tapped) grows out? Does that make sense? So if you do a root tap which is slightly darker, eventually it’s gonna grow out to the end. So how is it that the ends are still so blonde? Does the toner wash out eventually? I understand the whole concept of the highlights/baby light. I just don’t understand for the hair that’s left dark how that ends up being so light on the ends eventually. Can someone please explain that to me? Please?

mary mary: Do you ever do videos on diy base color going lighter but also with grey coverage? I have so much grey yet my roots are always so warm.

joanne akerman: When you said you would use a 7 or an 8 would that be on the root area or mid length instead of the 9 p also do you have to use the redkin developer or any ?

Cinderfire: My question is I use a 4Nn from Redken and I always get hot roots from it. How do I avoid lighter roots on my hair is so dark. I use 20 volume with 4nn

Lisa Cafaro: Hello. My hair had permanent black hair color on it. I highlighted all of my hair. It came out orange. What can I do to fix it

N H: I just have to say I've been watching your tutorials and they are very helpful. When you're holding up pics of various movie stars I think that you're prettier than all of them!

Chris Black: Ahh! My hands are burning from watching this stylist expose her beautiful hands to bleach.... After years and years of chemical exposure and eventually developing dermatitis on my hands, my hands now look and feel like they were stung by hundreds of bees after washing my hands with SENSITIVE SOAP!! PLEASE USE GLOVES PEOPLE!!

Jane Rymus: You always look so beautiful. Never used redkin, I will try them now

APRIL GROSVENOR: When u do very blond highlights all over to blend grays that are only on the top of the head what would u use for the root tap I’ve had people tell me they can only use permanent because of the grays. N others tell me they can’t do root tap at all Because the semi or demi won’t do anything I haven’t found any info on this for younger women If I type in anything about gray hair it’s always referring to older ladies.
