How To Make Locs | Black Hairstyles || 4 Week Update!

Hey guys welcome back to the channel, it's your girl more melanin. Thank you for tuning in y'all. I'M going to be doing this quick tutorial, so i'm going to be doing it myself, i'm retwisting my own locs and we're gon na see exactly how much my hair grew in the past four weeks. But before i do that, i do have to wash my hair and i want to show you um pretty much like what my hair now looks like after a whole month of new growth, so i'll be taking my turbine off and showing you guys that in a Minute before we get into that go ahead and make sure you hit that subscribe button yup hit the subscribe button. We'Re going to take off the turbine y'all ready for the big reveal, go ahead and get started reach with my hair, so let's go all right, girls and boys. So, as you can see, this is what um you know. My hair looks like before i'm about to do my retwist, but if you guys can remember the last video that i did when i did my first starter locks with the crochet needle this time, i'm going to be doing uh the palm rolling technique. It'S a little bit faster and child. I don't feel like doing my hair all day long like i do last time. The quickest way to do the lock maintenance, i would say, is the palm roller, but yeah um, it's a little matted right now, because y'all see i had the scarf on my head. So you know it flattened out my hair and plus it's really dry and i need to go wash it. So that's what i'm about to go to which one i'm coming right back right after i wash my hair, we're gon na get started. Um you'll really be able to see like the real length of my hair. You'Ll, really be able to see how long it actually is once it's wet and not all matted and i'm gon na get started with the palm rolling and getting these locks done just popping. In so i have conditioner in my hair, guys see, i'm super excited, so i'm about to put a plastic cap on my head. Let the conditioner sit for about five to ten minutes and then i'll rinse it out and we'll get started with our lock maintenance. Today i just finished washing my hair and conditioning it, so it's still wet, of course, and i'm gon na spray. Some of this tropical root, castor oil into my hair, just to you, know, moisturize it and give my hair a little bit of shine like i'm gon na put it all over gon na moisturize. Let'S pull it put it back um. It smells really good too smells. So good like this stuff, i use it in my daughter's hands too um. She also has lots so we're like starting a little lock train in my family right now, but yeah um. This is by far one of my favorite uh moisturizers, so yeah shout out to all my jamaican people. You know love it. So you know. Um i have here is the maurice beeswax, natural luck, paste i'll just be using a little tiny, tiny, tiny bit, because you don't want to put a lot of product in your hair because then it'll just start to build up. You don't need to use a lot of this, so you'll be seeing me using this product um. It'S really good, though, for your hair don't get it wrong like it does keep your style in for a really really long time um, but you don't need to use a lot it's made of mostly beeswax oils um. It has a little bit of rosemary in there too um so yeah. I am a quick person. I love my clips. I keep them in um, at least for like 30 minutes during the hair maintenance product and then 10, maybe like 20 minutes after while i'm blow-drying and setting itself. These are the sliding clips from. Let me start with first just separating, i guess, um in a section of two you guys, i'm not gon na lie. I appreciate the growth like i can already tell. I just can't wait to actually um see the results like you know. First of all, so i'm going to leave this last section out, because this is the part i'm going to start with buddy know like cuz um, but of course you know, i got this little section here to do so. I have one more left to do. Um. I know you guys probably noticed that i really didn't do a lot of partying. It really wasn't required and the reason why i say that is because um i mean i am doing semi free parting, so uh with that being said, most of my parts were already formed and then some of them i just didn't care so um. Let'S go ahead and do this last one i'm so excited, i'm almost done. I am sitting here under the dryer um i'll be sitting under this for about 15 minutes. Sorry about the audio. I know you can um probably hear the blow dryer blowing. In the background. I'M going to take out these clips really quick and get down to you know the final look, but we're not done yet did my hair grow get into the final results.
