Meek Mill Calls Out Lace Front Wigs

Real fam, do you agree with Meek on lace front wigs, or do you think he needs to take back that tweet?

Rapper Meek Mill has never been shy when it comes to speaking his mind, and yesterday he decided to turn his attention to one hair-raising issue: lace, front, wigs, tweeted, lace, front: wigs are wack, I'm protesting them. I just hate when you see that lace, cap line in front all slicked down and the net in the middle, we letting you all have everything else, ask your man how he feel lol and I can still be attracted to a woman wearing them. But my thoughts be like is that a week I'm sorry lol? I just had a few bad lace experiences that traumatized me. You ever get food poisoning from eating something and then never want to eat it again. Well, Meek said one such experience was when he was having sex with a girl and her lace front slipped off yeah. They were having a lot of fun. Well, many women were quick to clap back at Meek, like toya wright, who posted this video to her IG story, saying at McNew what lace that is a fly. She looks amazingly custom-made copy cost $ 1000 Bentley yeah. Okay. So can you explain where the lace front is? You know definitely unreal, okay, the reason why they call it a lace front is actually what you saw. What toy your hat on they like to show the baby hairs. A lace front is this: this is your lace and it's it's mesh and actually yeah, and so what happens is is that there's hairs actually attached, you could go and you can even pull some of your own baby hair through the lace. Exactly you could pull some of your, but like for majority of us is the wig you know, and what's happening is that you, ladies, are taking too much other hair. That'S on the mesh off. You got to leave it on there and you got to cut as much you need to tip you have to tip there's like a four which I want to say something back in the day with my mama and aunties and grandmas head two wigs, they didn't have Wigs like this, it was one set. Wig is real, stiff, yes or either was the Diana Ross wig with all that halo, but it's a new day. Cuz we've got technology. People make these face that are so phenomenal. Jennifer Lopez has won a really long legs front. Wig, that was blonde, and you literally can't tell ya that it's a week, so I think one if it's put on wrong yeah. Thanks to what your ring. I think what he's saying he's traumatized by having seen the behind the scenes that the wig shouldn't have been seen through me that can't be traumatized. I'M trying to college myself when I take off my wig, I'm gon na tell you what it is. It'S the process of seeing it like, oh yeah, if you don't secure it, I think I think he probably you know was in a situation yeah and it came off yeah and it's like that's why you guys secure your wigs lady, sometimes people who really don't know How to apply it? One time I had a hairdresser put a lace front wig on me and she put all the you know the glue and stuff, but you could still, you could still see the glue right you're out and about people aren't looking in your eyes. They'Re like who can like wait. Wait, you dream. We always talk about this. When you have your kid actually watch you take off your wig. It is the funniest thing. My daughter is like what the hell is. Literally they look at you. Yes, like a deer caught in headlights, hilarious Grace had her daughter here at the real shout out, so Olivia hey be live and I took my wig off in front of the baby and she was like how you take your head. She couldn't understand on that happen. I love, we can't see you cuz, it's like what time Araya saw me. We are here and I had the bang wig. It was fly to her. She was just like different. She knew something was different, but that's what you that's. What you're saying? Yes, I like the fat, he made the statement. I think he got a lot of pushback yeah and he said. Let me clarify it. Yes, because wigs are not white, okay, something that women do they wear it as an accessory. It'S nothing to be ashamed of, or embarrassed of, I will say: if you do, where we keep your hair up under, keep it keep it conditioned, keep it healthy, keep it braided. You know I'm so that if it does come off at least you still got a hairstyle upon its nicely braided up on. Why so many people got upset, because I think the initial one was ya know yeah. It was like you know: lace, wigs are wack. So now you start laughing and yeah I'm making fun of people

Symiah Dorsey: “I just had a few bad lace experiences that traumatized me”... imagine how traumatized women feel when they’re criticized on their appearances *every damn day*

Mia: Can black men please just let black women breathe? Please.

Ty: They hate wigs but I get approached more by men with weave than my natural hair ‍♀️

Damien Garbutt: I'm traumatized by black men going to jail too. Talking about you Meek Mills.

Bossy Tweed: I’m natural 3 years now and I can honestly say the amount of attention from black men has significantly decreased. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve never seen Meek connected to a black woman rocking natural kinks so who exactly does this apply too? Black men say they want natural until we actually *are* natural.

PL phunkwephunk: I'm traumatized EVERYTIME I see Meek's FACE, so let's just call it EVEN...

charnae young: I'd rather be around someone with a lace front than a felon.

Bryan Anthony: I feel for black women that ppl come for I can't imagine having to put so much time effort and energy into hair. Leave them in PEACE.

c________: Natural. Lace front. Half-wig. My head. My choice. *Foh* .

theInnerCircleseries: I’m sorry “letting” us have everything else? Boy bye

Amber Davis: Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I hate when men, especially black men comment on what they like or don't like about a woman's hair. Our history is too deep for that. Sure some styles are better than others but unless you are wearing your hair the same way but better or have suggestions hold your peace. I went to middle school in the beginning of the 2000s. A lot of guys were making fun of the girls for wearing so called horse hair but once braids for men were a thing guys were sporting tiny braidswith no "hang time" its easy to make fun of women when you don't have any hair. Side note, I always thought I'd apply a wig wrong of have it fall off.

Rayvonne Evans: Meek protesting lace fronts and in return I think we should protest felons ‍♀️

Zena Faye: He's more offended by how a woman choose to express herself with hair magic than he is his vulgar lyrics and criminal history??? Boy bye!!!

tekenja3: Considering his ex girl was the biggest lace front supporter of them all

stream witch: I have alopecia from health issues and I need wigs to leave my house

Chloe H: Loni wig looks like a hat but yet she’s giving lace advice

1karronj2: Real men don’t care ‍♀️ they keep going

MTS44: I did a test one day I wore my hair really pretty my natural hair and got dressed and went out and looked good and some guys look but not really say much. I came back in the house and put on a very pretty lace front wig and went back out, so many guys were stopping in cars and asking me what's my name and can we talk. this is so sad, smh.

Brilliantly Fearless: I’m a female and I understand him. My Grandma always wore a wig until one day I when I was 8 she took the wig off and I was in total disbelief. It was funny because it took me by surprise. Meek probably thought he was running up in a drag queen

Kristina Coffman: Meek isn't attractive enough for anybody to care what he thinks. He stays looking dusty! Moving right along. ✌

Nothing is impossible yes: Random woman: i love your kinky hair Me: ohh thank u My daughter : it's actually a wig Me:

April Flowers: Same men complaining about lace front wigs are the same men calling kinky, 4c hair nappy and unkept when women wear their natural hair. Smh

Dee: Well then I am calling men out on them pregnancy bellies....

TEEJAYBOS: Before he start banning women lace fronts he need to ban lace front beard and mustaches; men out here glueing dreads; sideburns and all

Emmaleigh Kelly: I have a disorder that made me lose most of my hair, I wear lace wigs mostly for my confidence. I don't see a problem with it?

Ms. Chelle G: Ugh I've always felt this way. We just supposed to pretend we don't see those lines??!

JungKooksMom: Traumatized by fake hair but not by fake bodies oh. Okay EDIT: Yo I really f**k with y’all in these comments . No negativity ?! That’s what I’m talking about

Ria Lequay: One time my wig came off during sex. He took it and threw it out of the bed. And kept on going! Lol.

BROOK 11:11: Why is it always our choice of hair styling that's a problem?

Renae Mack: And that woman that you were having sex with, when her wig came off; how do you think this makes her feel. She has to hear about an experience that was embarrassing for her, all over TV and social media. Now shes traumatized along with any other unfortunate women with the same situation.

product junkie 101: Thank God im married to a beautiful Hispanic man that loves my natural hair and doesn't care when i wear wigs

Melindah Mkhwanazi: If you're not paying for my wig, you don't have an opinion! Who told him he can tell us about our lace? Besides, some people wear wigs because they are sick and are losing hair, lace showing is really the least of their problems.

Shayla Ranae: I'm sorry imma female and I feel the same way about lace front wigs I even worked in a hair shop before and I just never been a fan of them but if it suits you I say rock em but just make sure you do them right cause some wigs be obvious as hell

N Watson: Study history.. Wigs have been around since ancient Egypt. I’ve had relaxers, wigs, pressed my natural hair and tucked my natural Afro. Changing hairstyles for me and my circle is a form of self self-expression, it’s an accessory. FYI: young and old, black and white, men and women wear wigs and hair extensions; it’s a matter of preference.

Erica Stackhouse: This brought back a memory of my mom playing with all us kids playing kickball. She forgets she's not a youngin, runs after the ball...down hill. Trips, falls and rolls down a hill. The younger of us get to her first, screams and busts into tears cause her wig ended up 2 ft away! He thought she died! Poor guy!

I am Fatimat: . I’m still wearing my wigs, with the net and all !

Sweet Key: My daughter be like mommy you gonna put your long hair on

animal lover: this makes me sad. I am loosing my hair due to a autoimmune disease. these wigs give women some of their confidence back.

Nelly Malone: I will care about Meek’s opinion (...or anyone else for that matter) when he pays for my wigs.

Nwanyioma: WHY ARE WE EXPLAINING THIS TO AMERICA?!

mia: they’re not addressing the problem. HE CANNOT HAVE A SAY W WHAT WE HAVE ON OUR HEADS. wigs or not. it doesn’t matter if he was traumatized by a fucking wig, he cannot decide what we wear. they literally spoke about how to maintain the wig and how to look pretty for the men’s approval. this annoyed me sm

alonzia besweet: Lol my son asked me at church “ mommy take your hair off “ I said no he said why Lol

TS: Just curious, how many of those Free Meek protestors had on lace fronts? Sigh.

Vee: Meek mill needs a lace front with that residing hair line

Peaceful Journey: Ladies when you stand in your own power it doesn't matter what others may think, because it's your life to live and you live it to the fullest. It's only a wig!

Nishay Robinson: why he aint tell nicki Minaj about her wigs because she would have cursed him out. meek wasn't talking about wigs when he was in nicki dms lol

Frederika27: I have been wearing my hair in cornrows and my black sisters are the ones putting me down saying I look like Leroy from Fame! Put that with black men and it's not very nice!

Hannah1111: It's always its the black man putting his women down. I see that all the time, so sad, and they say those things After they get their success. Men where I am from never do that.

Purposeful Tiny Tots Daycare: Yes lets all protest!! Im am so over the lace front.

Zora Horne: Hair makes a woman feel good natural or not. Most women would prefer there own hair. However;menopause, stress, poor nutrition all, play a role in the hair growth process, even environmental factors.

Roosje_ Rush: What a day for Loni’s wig to look like a WIG

Satya Muhammad: My dog barked at me for a few seconds the first time he saw me with a wig

Sharay's Corner: I actually agree with him. When I see the 'lace" I'm like, "You don't think we can see that???" But he's still going to mess with those ladies tho. ‍♀️

Basi_M: Loni giving wig tips is too strange for me

Tammy James: When you guys pull your pants up, we will give up our lace wigs.

Dannie Richie: Meek traumatized by lace fronts but not ass shots

Vi Andrews: This conversation is too funny!

Sophia Belle: I would like to say in the defense of ALL women who rock wigs, lace front and full caps, we all wear wigs for many reasons not only to complete our head to toe glamor, but other reasons. Reasons such as skin conditions that kill follicles underneath the skin before hair can get a chance to grow. Those women have one more chance to turn to wigs. Women who have gone thru' cancer treatments or who've had operations on their skulls leaving horrific scars. Bobbi Boss and Janet Collections come to a woman's rescue to hide flaws they don't want you to see. But they want you to know that wigs don't make the woman. Women make the wigs. They say "I don't want to color, cut or chemically process my naturally shoulder length hair. They would rather grab that new wig in the box cut the lace and go.

Kiana Smith: “Boys” aren’t satisfied with natural hair, now they’re upset about wigs. Oh brother.

Jax W: I am so thankful for lacefront wigs as I have alopecia due to medical reasons. I think people should be able to wear what they want if it makes them feel happy and gives them more confidence. I feel that Meek Mill's comments make him seem extremely shallow. A person's worth goes far beyond their hair or physical appearance.

Nikki Renae: First of all I’m not going to stop wearing wigs for the likes of meek mill. Secondly I’m taking my wig off before it goes down duh

felix habarugira: I am with Meek on this one #nolacefront #nohorsehair #nodeadpeoplehair

Bria Dunbar: Lmaoooo! I had to watch off the title. I agree. It’s overkill these days. And people just let it look sloppy. Like I love a good wig but sometimes it’s just not right. BUT society is lying lol nobody wants wigs but nobody wants natural so we just gon do what we want.

Amina Williams-Brissett: If meek doesn’t like lace fronts...then he should embrace beautiful black women with natural hair.

Miss Charlotte Burley: We really need to stop calling Natural hair out if it’s name. I use to call my hair nappy but now that I know we’ve been brainwashed to hate ourselves... I stop. unkept hair is the problem and always compared to “natural”. All natural hair types are beautiful when taking care of. I say rock your wigs and weaves for style but not because of self hate with an identity issue.

Claire Haire: Let me tell you something , confidence goes a long way. When you have charisma men do not care if it’s a wig or not; Meek Mil just needs to say he doesn’t like black women and go .

Royalcollection1: Thank God my boyfriend don't trip about it because he knows I do it for me not him but not gonna lie sometimes my wig ain't laid ahahaha

ViK a.k.a Victor Moyo: Mother's should do a challenge of their kids reactions to them taking off their wigs... LOLLLL

ForeverGoddess Queen: He supposed to be focused on strokes and he worried about the wig. You know it's a wig. Wigs are common now.

Kiara Henry: None of his songs snatched my wig off so he’s just mad

Jessie: I’m relaxed but I don’t wear weave and haven’t worn a wig ever in my life. With that being said... ladies, do what you will with your hair! Meek mill and everyone else’s opinions are irrelevant.

Altina Kamara: Lmaooo my four year old son STAYS calling me out for my “fake hair.”

Gee Cee: Some Black men always worried about our HAIR. When in fact many male's hearts are faker than any red white or BLUE synthetic wig. miss ME

N H: I'm going to buy my first lace front end of the month after watching this

brittan goree: can we just take a minute and just appreciate 1:07

The Popular Brunette: All shades of women wear wigs. He could’ve been with a white women or a Hispanic women and had this happen to him.

JetLerouge007 xxo: “MEN”,,PLEASE STAY OUTTA WOMENS BUSINESS

Tippi Doo: Lonnie should not be the Lace front wig spokeswoman with the wigs she wears on the show.

Koriander Yander: Meekmill: Lakefronts traumatize me Also Meekmill: I like ass shots

Genial Gigi: If I ever loose my hair, I would embrace the wig.

Yonekuni Madarame: Ive always wanted to "invest" in some nice lacefront wigs but when you look close in most pictures, you can see the glue or and the line where the lace starts and it makes me cringe. Why is that ignored? I just do what I can with my nappy head. Ive lost hope if I need Jlo money for a not obvious wig.

Paris Roam: ❤ RPG Shows wigs. And wigs are so versatile. I can change my hair with my mood and it prevents me from adding any heat to my hair.

Rayniese Amoore: I must admit it feels good when he rubs his hands through my hair and it doesn'tt get stuck in a track However, my hair, my art, my prerogative.

Teresa Green: If the lace fronts are going to rip my edges off, I'll pass. I'm pro edges. I will take a regular wig or quick weave.

Amiee Chay99: my son didn't recognize me in my wig he was blushing and everything but when I took it off I scared the hell out of him I was laughing but I had to apologize he wasn't a year old yet he was like 6 months bless his soul lol

Barakiel Draco: When i take my wigs off my daughter grabs it and puts it on and laughs

BeautyAndFaith: Come through Toya! Her hair was flawless I think Meek is traumatized

zn.mercury: *"That's a Bentley lacefront right there."* You frickin kill me A.

lavy hair: it is a new day! we got technology okay? i love wearing wigs anyone else?

Black Radiance: Why would i care what a Criminal thinks

Tori B: Orrrrr and hear me out... a man doesn’t need to concern himself with what we as women WANT to put on or wear. NOT his place. PERIOD

Neo SoulZ: I AGREE WITH MEEK. IT'S SO FUNNY I JUST ASKED A GUY THE OTHER DAY HOW MEN FELT ABOUT WIGS AND WEAVES. MEN HATE THEM.

Tye: I have never worn a lace front and never will. ‍♀️

Ossie R: Everyone’s offended by everything

DA SUPADUPA: Don't know why so many people are pissed at him..hes telling the truth not all are bad but we've all seen what hes talking about..i always wondered what men thought about it..lol

Iysisolivianna11 Phoenix: When i took my wig off lmao my daughter said mommy will it be ok without your head in it whats gonna happened to it lol the funny thing is my son said mommy i like your big hair n the strings n gold studd i guess by strings he met locs twist and braids guess im doing something right

prettypearls26: If we’re gonna keep it honest we know the burn that comes with having to face your natural hair vs the relief and gladness with that fresh weave ... and the honest human truth is that you know that if you could just get up and adore your own mane and go.........‍♀️.....

eden: Meek can pipe down as far as I’m concerned lmao where is Tamar with a “you tried it!” When you need her

7empest 777: I would first thing look at a beautiful black woman I don’t think women especially black women need fake hair they’re beautiful as they are. Very beautiful woman I am married to one for the last 26 years she is amazing

Wanderlust_Aileen: Men hate all fake hair related items: wigs, hair extensions and fake eyelashes. But when a girl is flaunting them real nice they break their necks WTH!!!
