Hey peeps, so i recently tried passion twist for the first time and, let's just say, i absolutely love this style, so i'm going to show you right now how i did them all right. So this is the hair that i used. It comes with three bundles in a pack, and i found this at my local beauty supply store for 13.99 a pack now before i use braiding hair. I always prep it first by giving it a vinegar bath. All i do is run some lukewarm water. In my tub pour in a generous amount of plain vinegar right here, i probably used a cup and a half to two cups, then leaving each bundle of hair attached to the twist tie, so it all stays together. I toss it in the water submerge the hair and i agitate it a little bit to really work in the vinegar water. And then i let it soak for about two hours. And by doing this, it removes the coating on the hair, which can sometimes irritate your scalp, so i don't get any itching after i install it after the two hours is up. I run each bundle under some fresh water and bring it out, and then i just let it air dry overnight right on the side of the tub. So here i am the next day i had washed my hair the night before and air dried it in these plaits to keep it stretched and detangled like i always do you all know the drill, and now i'm taking it all down, removing the bands and unraveling The plaits i'm using some plain old olive oil here and working that all throughout my hair, then i'm going to start sectioning off my parts for the twists. So, starting from the back and working my way forward, i'm making medium sized squares then using this extra hold jam, i'm applying that to my roots, to get them sleek and flat brush it to smooth it all out and using a rubber band to band. All of that section of hair together, of course, i continued with making those box sections applying jam, brushing it smooth and making ponytails until my entire head was done and using this method, it really helps the finished style to look as neat as possible, especially if you're A beginner because it keeps the roots flat, it's easier to grip the hair, because it's already bundled together and the style comes out. Looking super precise in the end, because you've already laid down the framework. Now after i made that first row, i decided to make the rest of the parts a little bit bigger, because i didn't feel like spending all day doing my hair. I was like, if i make larger sections, i can really speed this process up. So that is what i did then, to install the twist take down one of those little ponytails at a time and i'm going back to the jam and applying that all down the length of my hair. So it's ultra slick. This moves out the frizziness and helps my texture blend better with the extension hair, taking one of the passion twists and starting at the bottom. I'M unraveling it. So it looks like this. I'M gon na fold that in half and place the middle of the twist right up to where the rubber band is now with the two ends of the twist on each side and my real hair in the center. I'M going to start braiding that down to about an inch and a half, once i get there, i'm taking that piece of my real hair and moving it over to one side to combine it with the passion twist hair and from there i have two pieces and I'M going to start twisting down the entire length at the bottom, give it a twirl around my fingers and that's it one twist down again, i'm adding jam to slick down my hair, unravel the passion twist, attach it and start braiding down to secure it. Combine my real hair with one side of the passion twist and then start twisting, and the thing i like about these is that, even though, initially, when you do them, they look kind of thin, they do expand and get more full. Looking as time goes on, which is really nice and then to finish off the style, i'm using this lemongrass edge gel and applying some around my hairline then brushing and molding my edges in place, and this was my first time using this product. Actually, it's uber thick! So it's a bit of a test to work with, but it definitely freezes your edges and i like how it laid mine down. It gave me a really good hold all day, and that is it. So here is the final look for my first time doing: passion twist i was so happy with how my hair turned out. I ended up using two packs of the hair, and i had between 60 and 65 passion twists all together time wise for this style. It took me about an hour and a half to section off my hair and do all the ponytails and then another three hours or so to make the twist so about four and a half hours total. From start to finish - and i absolutely love the fact that this hair is so lightweight, it barely felt like i had anything on my head at all and it's extremely easy to handle and style it in a lot of different ways. It'S very pliable not stiff in the slightest yeah. I really have nothing but good things to say about this: it's comfortable to sleep on great protective style. It'S super low maintenance and really easy to do it yourself, but that's pretty much it guys. I hope this video was helpful. Any questions you have leave them right below in the comment section thanks so much for watching as always and i'll catch up with you all soon. On my next video peace,

Toniser Howe: I did these at the starting of quarantine and let's just say I haven't spent at dime at the hair salon. You did a wonderful job Kim.

Jasmine H.: Her : About 4 and a half hours Me: okay so it's going to take me 8 hours

Toni G: I’m thinking the 822 dislikes come from professional braiders who are scared of loosing customers and money. They look amazing and thanks for sharing

Pualena IsZ: This is the FIRST passion twist tutorial I can understand and ready to try! She makes it look so flawless and easy to understand. I would say to Deep Condition your hair before doing this and any protective styles with synthetic or real store bought hair to strengthen. I attend to vinegar rinse my hair also.... I'm a germophobe

WhitneyStylez: I can’t believe how straight your parts are and neat the sections are! Parting alone is a challenge for me

Shannon Sanders: I love this lady's videos! She's clear on instructions and gets straight to the point

Shannon Green: I love that you tell us how long it took to do these. Whenever I wanna do a never style I never know how long it'll actually take. Obviously it'll be a bit different for everyone based on their strengths and weaknesses, but just the general idea of 4-5 hours helps a lot with planning time. Thanks!

Ms B Aldora: I just started doing my own box braids October of last year. So, me being a new beginner on braids period, this video was very helpful. You did a wonderful job on your hair.

Andriana Ongoiba: Thank you so much for showing us how to do this this in an easy way! You’re so beautiful and you did a great job ❤️

Shetrell Fisher: Such a cute style. Love the rubber band method. A tip if you can’t get your braids at the beginning to be as tight as hers or have trouble doing that method you can also use a crochet needle and crochet the hair behind the rubber band and then just start twisting down. I can’t ever get my braids tight at the root and this trick helped me.

The Dynamite Natural: The way your hairstyles turn out is pure perfection.

ggtights_com: Thanks doll you’ve given me the confidence to do this for my upcoming Miami trip A few years back when I was visiting Harlem this lady gave me some gorgeous bombass passion twists, and one thing that she did, that Ive not seen anyone else do, is she removed a teeny bit of hair from each section instead of using the given size. So they were *slighly* smaller and the twist pattern was longer, not so tightly coiled. This made a big difference in the outcome of the style. Not “better”….just gave it a different flow. Hopefully I can do this without tangling & fuckin up the hair. Would be wise to do a trial run before the trip but it’s in 3 weeks, so I probably won’t . Thanks again love

AllistonBLifestyle Coaching: This seems very simple and easy to do w/out messing around with the crochet needle! I'm going on a cruise in 2 weeks and wanted passion twist as a protective style; I will be trying this method! Thank you for sharing!!

Kim More: I swear your tutorials helps me a lot. You really explain and show everything from start Everytime ❤️❤️❤️

Janika Woods: Wonderful job! I think this will be my next style! Thank you.

Savannah: This style frames your face beautifully! Great job for your first time trying! I feel like this style will be very easy for me to try since I naturally style my hair this way when applying deep conditioners and masque overnight, I'm usually just too lazy to make beautiful, even sections like this and I don't normally use rubberbands I do want to change up my color without dying my hair and I love the weight and versatility these provide while still offering some protection and looking natural. I really hate wetting my hair everyday to style it during the winter, and I haven't applied heat to my hair in almost 2 years now so I kinda don't want to deal with that or puffy roots when I start to sweat I was able to keep my box braids in for about a month and 2 weeks before they got too uncomfortable, but it was so damn tight and heavy to wear up, I had to use extra large scrunchies or scraves cause they were T H I C K this seems simple enough, I'll just need help parting sections evenly in the back cause I can't make a straight line to save my life Great tutorial though, thank you!

shawnta brown: So I saw your video last night and decided to try it on my daughters hair today. Best tutorial ever!!!!! It was so easy to follow and I rocked my daughters hair. Lisa: You definitely always find a way to make it so easy I can't wait to try this style and I'm so glad that you did them individually because I cannot cornrow and I have tried to learn and there is no way I could ever do it but I love that you did the rubber band method you weren't scared to use it on your hair I'm not scared to use it on mine the only thing is my hair's length is to the bottom part of my bra and my hair tends to get frizzy what would you do for that to fight it from frizzyzing up because you twisted your natural hair with it did you have to put anything on it each day so that it wouldn't come out and did you dip your hair and hot water to set it. and thank you so much for sharing this you are so gorgeous and you do such an amazing job love your looks always.

Kamil Solano: I came to here to say Thank you! I have 1.5 % in skills to do hair styles, I'm even not a beginner im behind the start line but I felt confident with your video and I said: I can do that to my daughter, and boom! It wasn't easy but I'm proud of myself for how it turned out and my daughter is happy with the results. The brand that I bought it did not make it easy as yours I unraveled it and it became a challenge, a disaster but next time I will try to find the brand that you bought.
