Easy Weave Ponytail Tutorial | Quick Holiday Hairstyle

Oh, hey guys welcome back to my channel or welcome to my channel if you're new here my name is sam. Welcome to the sam fam first, i just want to say my bad for being gone for a little bit. You know it's a holiday season, i'm all over the place, but i did want to give you guys this video before christmas. Just in case, my last minute, queens are trying to figure out what to do with their hair for the holiday um, and you might have some old weave bundles laying around and you guys can come up with this quick little ponytail that i have here um. I did follow the steps uh that tiara walker did. I love her. I did do a voice over for majority of this video because i don't know i was just like this is my first time doing this method and i wanted to be focused so yeah, it's a voiceover, but this is how the ponytail came out. I have a line on my head from the scarf, but it's cool i'm about to um go to work. I actually haven't been to my work office in forever, but anyways yeah, i'm about to head out, but i hope you guys enjoy this video and yeah. Let'S go ahead and get into it, so i started off with my hair freshly washed and i just sectioned it off and blow dried it before i blow dry, i always put in like castor oil or some type of oil on my scalp and then i'll also Put um like just it around my edges and i'm using um this crown of coils like um. I would call it like a almost like a grease consensus, consistency um to like massage it through my hair, just to make sure that my hair is getting some moisture before i, you know continuously dry it out with it blow dryer, and then i also go ahead And straighten my hair, which i don't show you much of because this isn't what the video is about. But i wanted to straighten my hair just so. It'S like super sleek and matches the texture a little bit better with the weave ponytail that i'm going to be doing so. The next day is actually when i did the ponytail. I slept with it like wrapped up, so i'm just combing it out right here, um and then after i'm all done combing my hair out, i'm gon na actually take a hot comb and just hit up my like kitchen area, just to get a little bit more Straight, i haven't used a hot comb in a really long time, so you know i was a little cautious. I didn't get it as straight as i would like have like to have, but you know your girl be a little scared of the hot comb been that way. So i was um. You know trying to get my edges right together and everything else um, and then we moved on into the ponytails okay. So for the ponytail first i started combing my hair up into a ponytail motion. I sprayed got to be glued free spray um all over my hair brushed it up, sprayed it again, brushed it up, and then i put it into a ponytail. Then i went ahead again with the free spray added some more to it, brushed it added some more brushed it um, just so that i could make sure it was extra sleek and then once i'm done, brushing it it's kind of like messed up. So you pull off that ponytail and put a new ponytail in um, just to make sure it's extra secured. After that, i went ahead and braided like the actual hair left out of the ponytail, and i put on my do-rag for about 15 minutes just so that i could like give it some time to you know, slick all down together. So after 15 minutes i came back, took off the do-rag and i started using my rapid wraps to wrap my ponytail like the braid, so i started off on the top and just wrapped it around. I used hair glue to secure um the end so that i would stay on the actual ponytail. This is just to secure your hair from getting any damage from the weave hair that you use. I took a little break after this to put on my waist trainer which, by the way, works really well. It'S the j, sculpt fitness, one that i recently showed in a video, so i'm using some quality control, extensions, um and i'm going to section off. I'Ve had these extensions for a little bit, but i'm like um, not extensions. We bundle um, so i'm sectioning it off and putting a little rubber band or ponytail whatever you choose on the end, just so that we can be able to secure that, to our actual, like little ponytail, that we have wrapped up um. This is gon na give us extra security in the ponytail, so once i'm done like wrapping it around a few times i'll show you guys what it looks like and then i'm gon na put it on the bottom of my ponytail okay. So now i'm just gon na take that and secure it to the end of my ponytail, just wrapping it around the end of the you know: braided wrapped ponytail um. I actually had to do this twice because the first time i did it it did not come out right. I did not like it, so i actually redid it. So if the wrap on my actual braid looks different, that's why so, then you take the tracks and you just start wrapping it around and going up the ponytail, and that is what's going to create your little fake pony. So you just keep wrapping, keep wrapping, keep wrapping and then once you get towards the end, you're gon na take like the last little section of hair um, that's left and wrap that around the ponytail. You know what put some hairspray that i use the got to be glued free spray and blow dry it so that it like stays put. So i wasn't really satisfied with how it came out. So i added another small piece of track to the ponytail and just wrapped it on the top and then took the you know, end piece and wrapped it around again to give it that, like um, infinity, ponytail, look, i guess you could say and then use the Hairspray again i just i don't i don't know, i wasn't feeling how it looked. It just wasn't sitting well with me. I mean the end result. Wasn'T really my favorite either, but it was better. So, as you see, i added some more freeze spray brush it. Some more add some more freeze spray brush it some more and then i took my laid by lira edge control and just did my edges really quick. Once i was finished with that, i took the same rapid that we used on the braid and put that on my edges, to keep it wrapped up and put my do rag on and let that sit for a while um just to kind of like you know, Secure everything i wasn't really thinking too well the edge control and the freeze spray didn't really mix that great. So i did have a little bit of a white um cast, but you know if you have a good edge control that mixes with freeze spray, then you should use that or just be careful when blending it into your ponytail um but yeah. So that's it all! Right guys, so i just got ready: i'm going to show you what the ponytail is looking like, now that we let it sit for a while, i'm gon na be honest. It probably is not gon na look exactly how i planned on it looking, but it's okay! Oh, i hate when the um edge control does that white shirt? I think it's because i mixed it with the um got to be spray, but it's not horrible. Let me come up the actual ponytail. I mean it's cute. Hopefully i can make it better for christmas, because that was my idea was this is going to be my little holiday hair. Look, let me know what y'all think i'm going to show you guys the back. I mean it was my first time doing it, so i don't know how i feel about it yet, but i mean it's cool i'm about to actually go to a little holiday party for work at my actual office, i haven't been to my work office and i'm, Like trying to play with it, i haven't been to my work office since july, so this is going to be interesting, actually really anxious to go for whatever reason and my boobs just don't want to be put away but yeah.
