Ghanaian Street Food Bofrot & Hair Braiding In Africa

#Streetfood #Ghana #Jamaican #Travel

We went to Silver Hair Salon and Silver Hair Cut in Ghana for some well needed grooming. Jilly really wanted to get here hair done in Ghana, trying out one of the iconic hairstyles. Of course I was there for the Street Food in Ghana and I finally got to try the bofrot. This was delicious and seemed like an easy recipe I could try someday.

The food ventures of soy are powered by or patrons to become a patron click. The patreon link in the description box, thanks patrons for helping to write soy, all right, guys welcome back to stuck on an island where i'm stuck with you guys, and we are always smiling so you guys might know to be exact. We are in the continent of africa and we are exactly in ghana akra, and let me tell you so far: it has been amazing. So for us, it's kind of like an early morning. We started out by making some shots when i say shots, i'm talking about some cranberry juice, with some honey and turmeric. You know what i'm saying to keep ourselves a little bit healthy, but that's not the point. The point of today's video is that we are going to be going out to a hair salon in ghana. Now this salon has actually been recommended by woody maya. So if you call them by the sauna and let them know that we are going to be coming there today and to be honest, this is partly a part of one of jilly's dreams. Julie always wanted to come to ghana. Actually, she never did her hair to come here because she wanted to come here and get her hair done now. I'M really excited to see how well it gets done because, usually her hair is, how can i say, she's mixed so sometimes the braids don't last so long. So i'm going to be excited to see how they do it out here in ghana and how well it's going to last. However, eventually you're going to see her working on something where she goes into the market and tries to get it done traditionally as well. So maybe we should be able to compare the both levels of them anyway. We all know that doing braids is going to take a very long time so, hopefully, today i should be able to go out and try some street food. Maybe i come back and edit or just go exploring today, i'm not quite sure, because it should take about six hours and we're gon na see they're actually a lot faster than back home. Now one thing i can say that getting braids is really an afro thing. So i believe, africans or caribbean people of african descent, that's what they generally do so drop it in the comments, and let me know if you agree or if you can drop some knowledge of me, also drop it in the comments as well, and let me know Anyway, we're going to call an uber and get ourselves over there, so we can start our day. Yeah, we told them it's, we told them nine o'clock and it's like 50 minutes in line so got ta, go all right guys. So we are in the uber right now we're on our way yeah we're in a little bit of traffic, but we should get there pretty soon, one quick, little tip. Of course, when you're booking your ubers, you all know whenever the demand is up, it gets more expensive. I wanted a test check on the prices. Yesterday was about 40 cities, but because of the time that we took right now, it's down to like 24 cities, which is not bad at all, all right guys. So i believe that we have gotten to our salon, and over here looks pretty modern, hip and everything, and then, on the next side, you can see like the workshops, the red dirt. I just like how ghana has that contrast, every different part that you go a little bit like jamaica as well, you'll go into the uptown areas and you go into the other parts where it just looks a lot more rustic and stuff anyway. We'Re going to head in and try to meet with the owner or something other sort and then yeah. I think jilly's gon na be the same thing like right now. She looks very rustic and then, when she pop out banging, you know the hair when you're back home, you actually have to hold the hair in your hand and give it to them feed it to them. Each time i like that idea, that's like way better saves time. No i've been in ghana for a little bit and so far extremely exciting love it. So we are planning on extending our stay. I believe we can extend our state up to about 90 days. I'M gon na add about a month onto what we already had planned on staying here now. The reason why i brought it up is because of this now my hair is definitely going to grow and i've been wondering like yo. How, and where am i going to get my hair cut now? The funny thing about silver hair salon is that they actually have branches in other parts of ghana and the cool part. Is they actually have a unisex salon where guys can actually go there to get their hair done? So possibly i could go there and actually get a little cut now. This particular salon is purely for the females and so far as really did mention just now. They seem to have a lot more efficiency in the way that they already pre-weave the hair out, so that it can be braided in as opposed to back home where she mentions that you have to hold it in your hand, someone know matilda a little bit afraid Of the camera, so mattel, how long have you been doing here you've been doing here for three years? Is this something that you love doing it's a job? You love doing so something like this. How long do you think it will take back home? How long would it take julie? My hair takes like what eight hours back home yeah eight hours and matilda said three three, three, two three to four: if you do it in five hours, it means you're. Amazing man yeah cause. Now the coolest thing about being in a new country is that every day you notice something a little bit different now. One thing i've noticed so far in ghana is that in most professions like going to the mall, the supermarket, the salon, the restaurants, everyone at the back of their shirt always has like their job title. So if you're a stylist, if you're the bartender, if you are the waitress, everyone has it on the back, if you guys have an idea why this is so drop it in the comments - and let me know, but it's something that i found in ghana thus far And i find it very interesting and at the same time very helpful, because you know exactly who it is that you're talking to okay, so tilly, i have a. I have a question right. She is mixed, so her hair is not it's not very normal right. It'S it's not normal. You can't even it's normal you're chinese you're chinese, mongolian african. So much anyway. The point i'm trying to get at for her hair type. Will it loosen very quickly? Do you think or no okay yeah? Will it it would loosen? No, no thick hair. How long will it last beautiful how long whatever for the braids for this it can take long for one month, one month, okay, nice! Is that, like normal for one month? Yes, i'm saying it depends on your hair. The wax paint on my hair itself like back home and this part, the scalp and then under here, so you think that might last longer could last longer, maybe it's our timer. Let'S start time, everyone we'll start. So we start 10. 15., almost like she's, almost done already right. What? What is your name in ghana, thursday? What'S yours, yeah yeah, but in would you say, like in all of ghana. People know their names. You know part of the culture. Are you loving it not tight tight. It'S good real, good, really good nice, all right, so the owner of the spot, just popped by with some breakfast just now for us we got two american breakfasts. I did mention that i'm gon na try to get some street food today. I did ask tilly if any street food is close by and she said not really, but i'm gon na take up. I might take a stroll down and check on the road, but anyway he's laughing i'll, make myself some coffee as well and then um yeah cause. We are devastatingly hungry uh. What does it taste like? Sweet, sweet, okay, yeah, so they say that what they have in that cart. Just now is beau fruit, oh fruit buffer. It'S like it's! I'M gon na try one one day. I'M definitely gon na try one day. So it's kind of like a like a it's a pastry, maybe it's kind of sweet dimension, so whenever i get a chance i'll, try it and uh yeah every time here we hear the horn perfect. We think it's like an ice cream yeah. We think it's a fudge guy, but it's not the fudge guy here most of the times it's the beaufort guy, so yeah, but they did mention with yogurt. Oh so yogurt with buffroot, okay cool, learn something new here every single day, so tilly. I have a question for you all right in ghana. What is the popular hairstyle also for you to ingrid, like what's up what's a popular hairstyle like the girl's? Definitely right now, it's not like naughty yeah. That'S what she's getting right now. What do you say stitch? Oh, what she's getting oh, what she's getting somewhere there? Okay cool cool! I like the stitch corners, stitch cornrow! It'S very nice! Guys drop it in the comments, if you're from ghana or wherever in the us, what braid style! Are you rocking right now, which one is the best to you so you're doing the knotless and someone else is doing this dish cornrow. So those are the two popular ones in ghana right now, yeah cool, my hair can do that the stitch cornrow my hair could be done like that. Yeah. Are you guys? Just being nice? Nicer, don't feel bad. I won't feel bad because i know that it ends in my hair kind of prickly, so i don't know if it can actually lay with that stitch. Yeah. So tell me the truth. Can my hair be done all right guys, so we are here with joanna yeah right and one of the first things that i noticed because a lot of men, first of all, we don't like being in the salon with their girlfriends. It takes so long back home. Something like that is about eight hours, yeah, seven to eight hours, seven to eight eight hours like, but your husband mentioned that you guys are working on getting stuff done faster. Oh you guys plan on doing that, um. So what we do see so many places they have like one appliances to about three to four um stylists working on them. But here you know, because of the number of client that comes in here, we decided to do. One client is to one uh stylist yeah, and even with that, yeah uh, let's say one client into three client uh um stylist can take about uh three to four hours, yeah or even five hours. Let'S take it in three to four hours and then we just the one styluses to one client, takes maximum four hours to finish yeah. So that's really like good, because um time wasting is something that we try to take it out of the system. That'S right! So when clients come to try as much as possible to work faster, so speed is one thing that we work on every time. Speed is our priority is very important to us, so we work really fast over there, so um maximum force and they're gone yeah, and i noticed that like first it was one, but then the other style is chipped in and like so now it's two. We have two yes, so i actually like that part yeah cool, so um when there are certain styles that needs more than one stylus right. Yes, so with that we add another stylus to to work. I mean work with other stylists to make it faster, so um just like this. Yes, normally um, we do two, but our usual um uh working days to do one is to one style, but that even doesn't take too long. It still takes maximum four hours. To finish cool now, the next thing is um, because before we were trying to figure out because first of all, she wanted to come to ghana just to get her hair done here, oh yeah, so she can't yeah. She can't hear a huge plus to us exactly so we're blessed. That'S her idea, but i want to know anybody that comes to ghana. How many other locations do you guys have um at the moment we have. This is for the ladies. We have one yeah um. We have um another one coming up, but it's not ready at osu yeah. But let's say it's gon na be ready around uh march march yeah march uh yeah, but with the uh babas we have four barber shops. Um two asked me at east lagon and um. One at the bujo, the other one at um, the west west lagoon or hacho road yeah. So you have more shops for the guys for the guys than the ladies, because the ladies, you know you don't want to disperse so much uh shops around yeah, because i want to take control over um over what we have. So i don't like too many branches, but now that we have another one coming up, it will be two for the ladies, so we can monitor both it's good to have quality services and you know have so many shops that you don't have control over it. I i agree with that now, the next thing once you're instagram popular right, it kind of shows me like the you know, you guys are going with something because you guys have like over a hundred thousand on instagram right. Why is that? It'S? Because your store is that good? Yes, of course, because we have good content, we i mean our work speaks for itself yeah and then people want quality. So if they see your work being good, they follow you and i mean yeah. Everybody wants good stuff. So anybody will follow any good stuff. I mean that's correct, yeah all right, so black owned business right and you guys are going very successful. Yeah anything you guys want to say like to anybody who's watching who's thinking of coming to ghana and to get their hair done, oh sure, so, to all my foreigners from all over the world. Just whenever you come to ghana, try and pass through silver hair salon and spark, because that's the best place to be, we can give you quality, hair services. Our human relationship is a top notch. You can get it anywhere. The best place to get your your hair braided come to silver, don't go anywhere because they won't treat you like. We do exactly my last question to you is why the name silver here? Okay, so why did i get this? You know i've lived in the states from 2013 till now, because um i was once a stylist to the i in the states. Now i don't really do when i go there, but i used to work at a salon um. I saw those names somewhere on the internet because i was trying to figure out what name i should give to the company, and i saw i saw silver and uh biblically. I went to the bible and i i had a good definition for that. So i decided to use it, it signifies diamonds. Like you know, ladies, you know, we love things like that that blings yeah and i think you know when you see a diamond there, you see how it blends. You know you see how it shines. That'S right, yeah! So, that's, that's! That'S what we emulate! That'S what we show we shine everywhere. We go exactly all right. Joanna was a pleasure man. Thank you so much. Thank you so much for coming. Thank you for having us awesome all right. So there's a couple things i like to always observe. I like the fact that she came into the store and she knew what she was talking about. We saw how she came in she, you know looked at jilly's hair and you know made some recommendations. Also. She has a lot of years of experience, doing it in the u.s as well. So that's pretty cool and yeah. Of course, you might see us without the mask at some parts and that's just because, for you guys to hear us a lot better and see the live movement, it's what everybody in here has their mask on, and everything like that. So so far it's a vibe julie likes. Our hair is coming out and i love how it's coming out. So ghana silver here vibes. How much is it usually what hey bro uh? I want one of the bofu with yogurt how much two settings 220. yeah. That'S it. Thank you. Do you make this yourself, my mother, your mother, makes it is this popular in ghana, yeah? Okay, no, you could keep. Thank you. Man appreciate it. Bro feels like a cross between a festival and a doughnut yeah. Very. What can i say very tender? Look at that fried dumpling. Don'T fry dumplings really yeah nice! This! I will hunt every single vendor of this in ghana, because this is just so. It'S a perfect combination of everything like it's light, but then some parts of the edges are a little bit denser and then the crispiness that you're getting the flakiness you it feels like there's some from a fat than you was probably bought off. It'S like a achy pastry, doughnut thing, honestly that the yogurt goes very well with it. We will find another guy. What is it, how do you, how do you say bosu both fruits, both fruits, both foot, both fruits, both finally got it both frogs? This is just a a strawberry yogurt, if you ask me, maybe not as yogurty, but this is a yogurt. Does the beaufoot for me need this not really. I would eat the beau foods by itself and, as julia mentioned with some aki some saltfish, it would go with anything that a fried dumpling goes with it's just like a it's just like a flaky pastry man that is just yo. I love it this i could do without but the whole foods - oh all right guys, so i'm outside waiting on the food guy, because this thing is super good. I need to get some more and some of them ride their bicycles really slowly past. So you get time to actually stop some of them move really quickly. So i'mma try to catch one of the quick one, and hopefully we can get one that is just as consistently good, because just like any food, they mentioned that um. Some people make it really great. Some people don't make it as good, so i'm just out here waiting, really quick and um yeah. You know it's not good, because i'm waiting on this super hot sun all right so after waiting out here for quite some time um. I went back inside and they did mention that there's a lady that sells one. That is a lot better. However, usually hers get done before she even gets the chance to walk past. Here anyhow, i saw somebody selling some i saw when ingrid went across the road to get some meat pies. So i asked her kindly if she can take me to a spot down the road that has some better meat pies all right, so we're going there. The meat pies is uh very similar to a jamaican patty, but i think the dough was a lot denser well, the one that i tried. I don't know about this store that we're going to ingrid. You are my tour guide today. Oh my god! Yes, you are my tour guide. Is meat pie popular yeah in ghana in ghana, popular awesome, so we have successfully gotten our bowfoot. I am so excited about that and uh yeah, so you can order it without the yogurt. If you don't want the yogurt, it's like. I paid two cities just now for that and of course we have to leave a tip well, you don't have to, but i you always do anyway, so we're heading for the meat pie and ingrid believes that i'm very greedy because but i'm just really excited about The food here in ghana, it's different and still somewhat similar to what we have back home in jamaica anyway. Let'S get those meat pies, okay, so we're almost at the place, there's a sign there. Oh they sell like samosa and stuff like that, oh and meat pie. Ah, okay and he said that this one is better than the one that you went to across the road. I hope there are there's only one, so we got to this spot and um yeah. They only have three meat pies right now. Some are in the oven, but it shows that they they sell pretty fast huh the meat pies yeah. Do they sell quickly yeah. So what is in the meatball? Actually just meat like beef or chicken beef. So it's like what we have back home in jamaica. It'S like a beef patty so, like i said so far, the crust is a little bit denser. It'S not like a as much of a flaky pastry like what we have back home, but yeah we're getting one of that for jilly as well, so she can try. Okay, so normally i found that a lot of people from ghana come from different parts of the world, especially from africa, and you said you were from gabon yeah and you guys speak french yeah. Only french! That'S why you have an accent yeah. I have an accent. Yes, i can use it. I notice yeah, okay, so you said you studied yeah. I came. I came prepared for study yeah. I spent four years in university. Okay, then i decided to stay because i like the country, i'm sure you also like that. I'M extending my stay here because i love it is actually a nice country, it's peaceful country, so it's very peaceful. I decided to stay trying to get a job yeah, i'm not getting because you know africa is hard. What what profession were you trying to do? What i did in school is environmental science, oh nice, yeah and development studies. Okay, so i was trying to look into that area exactly, but i'm not getting a joke since i'm i'm also a foreigner here, it's harder so yeah and um. The time is really going. I have to do something for myself. It makes sense yeah. So that's when i started to come and learn, i decided to learn how to breathe. That'S what i'm doing, i'm not a stylist but you're learning. How do you find that, though, do you find it a good job until you yeah, it's really a good job. It'S even amazing like make people look beautiful. I, like you, that's true, that's true. It'S a good way to look at it, not just a job to get money but you're, trying to make people feel better about themselves and look more beautiful, yo. That'S a vibe, so we've been working on the accent for a long time. It'S bur flute. Is that correct, you said: bear flutes, okay, so google pronunciation? Oh! No, that is the best. Did you try it? No not yet the packaging is like a party. That'S both loose b-o-f. Oh both floats yes. Now it makes sense. Two types this this is different. Okay, compared to the one you had, ah, what's the difference um this one has more um; okay, they make this, keep it overnight. Okay, yes, so when it rises, just like the bread and then you fry it, but the other one you had is, i think it's an instant thing: you mix it and then you should try it dry. Buffalo, you see. So this is a dry one. This is what you had dry buffalo, yes and then the other one is more wet and more some. I prefer i like the other one, the overnight one. Yes, i will try it. I will try to find it the one the overnight one they usually sell it with those who sell porridge. Yes, the millet part. Yes, you can get it together. Okay, so guys we finally figured out the pronunciation. So it's both float because i guess it because it floats on the oil yeah. It'S the moment. We'Ve been waiting for we're about to see how julie's here went from this, so foreign, so all right guys, so we are leaving buffalo palace all right. So we're about to leave silva here now, um, it's been on optimum vibe yo, it's been crazy um! Let me tell you, like the people working there are very helpful. You guys saw everything that happened. They were very helpful with pronunciations of words telling us where to get the best foods and stuff, but anyway, now we're heading with the boss himself he's going to take us to the mail section where i can get a little cleanup or whatever the case is. I won't show you guys all of that, but you know the vibe. We are entering into a different zone. Okay, so this is not lego, so i don't know they're going in somewhere because of the late one. The lagoon is a a city on a hill. That'S the meaning: that's what lagoon means yes, city on a hill? Yes, so so it's it's on a hill when it gets inside. You see that the whole landscape is full of hills. Okay, yeah, all right, so we have gotten to north lagon yeah. Let'S check in the car make sure i don't leave anything and yeah here we have another silver here, but this is the barber shop version. So this was one of my biggest fears coming to ghana. I was very afraid of hey when i need to get my hair done. You guys know how men are very peculiar with their barbers. Will i get a good trim, so i'm here i'm ready. This is one of four of the shops that they have so we're. Gon na head in and let's see how i come out, so i'm gon na put you on the spot right now. Zayn, oh, listen to jamaica, music! No, i'm asking do you? Listen to jamaican music. Tell me one artist, not bob marley! Ah, you like popcorn jamia. All right cool cool. I realize people ain't gon na rock, with jamil yeah, that's a vibe, yes guys! So we are back home and, first of all, let me just send a big shout out to my boy, um woody maya, for giving us that opportunity. You know where they called um. You know the owners of silvercode and said yo. The jamaican friend is here: let's get it done, you know, and um going to the establishment like there was just so much that that one entity did for a lot of perspectives, especially people watching right now, which shows that you know africa is is a lot more Than what people expect it to be, there's just so much that there is to offer and what i really enjoyed about silver here. Silver cuts. Is that not only were they very professional today, but they did one thing that every person needs, especially myself sitting in front of this camera talking to thousands of people is instilling a level of confidence. Now you know for a woman, her hair is a part of her pride. You know a woman often feels if her hair looks good, then she feels good. You know i'm saying and um you know saw how jelly went in not as confident walked out brimming with confidence, and even myself, too, you know being on the camera. You know people criticize you they create an image and whatever their image is that's what they go with. So i'm really appreciative that silver cut and silver here come on help to increase their image and instill that level of confidence. Now, speaking of professionalism like they were very quick, like julie mentioned, takes about eight hours, six to eight hours for her hair. To get done. I'Ve witnessed this for myself. She would go on the road and not come back until the night. They took three hours and 30 minutes and i really appreciated how everybody worked together in africa. They would say, or even in the caribbean, they say it takes a village to raise a child. Today it took the village to get that hair done. Super quick and also there's other little stuff that we saw today, for example, never judged a book by the cover. You know one of the hairdressers she's, actually a university graduate and now she's in ghana, doing hairstyles to improve her life and keep moving forward. Anyway. I want to send a last shout out to the owners, frim, punk and joanna. Thank you so much guys for having us today and thanks for every single person that dropped a like on the video dropped, a comment or shared something that they had experienced in ghana. Anyway, guys, thank you so much for the love, please, the big drop a like on the video hit the subscribe button, something that we would appreciate. Number three things, love nature and adaptation, and i am so excited to see the link. Still, it's been on the cute of the time we're here:

SOAI VLOGS: HAPPY VALENTINES! If you are even in Ghana gift yourself or someone some pampering @Silverhairgh @Silverhaircutgh

G D: The ladies did a great job with braiding Jelly’s hair. And Jilly look . I love this content seeing interaction with everyday people and asking them about there life living in Those Bofro are the same like Nigerian puff puff and they look similar to Jamaican fry dumplings. We are all the same people just dispersed all over the world. The traditions very evident in the culture.

Johan Nairne Beckles: You are actually doing a very unique, at least to me, exposure to the variety of traditional Ghanaian foods that shows up modified across the African Diaspora! Good job, Ibby & Jilly . And, if I wasn’t soooo far, I’d make an appointment at Silver Hair Salon & Spa!!!!! Nieeeece!!!!!

Sweetie Success: I'm so happy you and Jill are enjoying Mama Africa...yes I like the togetherness of getting her hair done it look nice...I can understand what Jillian meant when she stated she do not want to do her hair on this trip until she get to Ghana, and have the experience of African sisters doing her hair, I remember saying that same thing about ackee, I don't want to taste no ackee until I get to Jamaica, and the funny part about it I didn't know ackee and saltfish was mostly eaten for breakfast...so when I came off the ship I make sure to get my ackee, saltfish and must more...and it was so delicious.

Rosemakeupartist: Thats a beautiful salon experience and Jilly looks sooooo good and Stephen melanin poppin Happy Valentine's Day loves ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Sharon Harris: I am loving your vlogs on Ghana. You both look fabulous after your visit ti Silver Hair! You look great anyway with or without!

Gilbert N Addy -: Stephen , I am surprised that after at least a couple of weeks or so in Ghana , you have not realised or even been corrected by anyone local that the pronunciation of the name of the capital “ Accra “ is not “ Akra” as in the food popular in West Africa , the Caribbean and Brazil . The pronunciation is : “ Accraaaa” with the ending vowel “ a” as long as humanly possible . If you listen carefully , you will find that absolutely nobody In Ghana pronounces it the way you have been doing so far . It is not a big issue and Ghanaians , as you would have realised by now, are mostly very polite and respectful people and will never tell you that you are pronouncing the name of Accra wrongly . You look pretty Ghanaian and could easily pass for a local anywhere in the country . However , your pronunciation of Accra as “ Akra “ with a short “ a “ at the end , like “ Accra Beach “ in Barbados , is a dead give-away that you are not local . Not a big deal but just remember to say “ Accraaaar “ ! You are doing a good job . I am a native of Accra and have lived and worked in many Caribbean islands and also have a Caribbean wife !! It is good to educate Caribbean people about Africa .

Vinette Hart: I am loving Jillian's braids, very beautiful and it does not look tight! You go Jillian!

It'sTey-stee LB: I literally have knotless in right now. Knotless is the thing as well as the other style. Love it how culture travels. I am in US .

Clever Burton: I'm so happy u guys are extending your time. Enjoying your journey In Ghana

NAgyemang Vlogs: Its definitely a fry dumpling and partie ,I have been around with Jamaicans in England for so many years so I know what you talking about and feel, please take Jill to the art centre for her to buy some materials and beads, I'm enjoying this Ghana vlogs and make me feel like buying a ticket today and come home, well done, I'm super happy because some of the Jamaicans in England thinks different about Ghana and Africa as a whole

K. O: Really love experiencing Ghana even if it is vicariously through your eyes lol. Thanks for going on these adventures and taking us along with you.

Ingrid B: Great job with the hair. I do prefer the knotless braids. It takes on shape of the face another level to make it even more beautiful and it lays more flatter on head. Sleep better for sure. Have fun in Ghana. Live life as K Star would do #ghana

Sherene Angelee Stephens(Stevens): Way tuh go Jillie❤️

Deb Bla: Jillian you are so beautiful sis ..luv the braids it is so neat and look amazing on you. Stephen your zest for life and learning new things is just so infectious. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

Sarah Perkins: They do the prepping of the hair here too esp if they have the hair before time, it just depends on where you go. Hair came out great !

Daily Happenings: It's great to see soai spreading/sharing out the federal reserves bless up

Nana Brimpong: The yoghurt you are having was a frozen yoghurt. You should try it with the fanmilk ice cream which is basically vanilla milk ice cream and that goes better with bofrot, kelewele, popcorn which melts with the ice cream.

Everton Peart: Soai the race creed or “mixed” person doesn’t determine whether a braid or weave stays in longer in that person’s head it is the type of hair they have thick thin course that’s what causes the difference is it doesn’t matter if the person is mixed or they’re 100% black or100% white it’s how their hair is this is one of the vlogs you should’ve left the Jilly pretty sure she can explain it much better than you asking questions

Yh 2023: You should go to Gambia , maritius, Seychelles and South Africa

tim black: You made me laugh when you said how good the blufloot was I want one now

Shari Blake: Jilly this your fan from Nevis. The braids look real nice. I like that you did not have to pass them to the braider and there was not too much talking and gossiping over your head. The previous video when you were out with Wode Maya I see people commenting about how you are getting bored and not interested in the vlogs like you use to. Pay these people NO mind. People will always try to find negatives. Keep on doing what you do.

F John: The meat pie was too dry on the outside, hope the filling was good. I've seen some Jamaicans put their patty in between bread. That would look weird to a Ghanaian. When you ever do a place like Abidjan, you will see the French influence on their pastries.

I live in Atlanta, Ga and the tree braids are popular along with the stitch braids and knotless braids. They follow the same system in the US with two stylists and sometimes three depending on the style.

gilbert SENSE: "LEGON" means knowledge hill "LE" means knowledge or know and "GON,, GOONOR" means hill so this name came about when the university was built on the hills
