Hi friends christine here with lola rose, and today i want to talk about you, pins and swerves, an amazing hair tool you will want to have in your hair wardrobe first. I do want to mention that our sale runs until tomorrow, so everything is 10 off or we have um gift sets that are 30 off um. I think some things are 25 off and even we have some clearance type items that are 50 off so, but everything is at least 10 percent off. So i just want to give you that heads up before in case i forget at the end of the video, because we are going to fly through 10 styles. So i want to show you 10 styles, using a variety of our ew pins swerves up jewels and you'll see all the different, even our small swerves, all of these styles that i'm doing can be done interchangeably with the different products. So if you get a set of u-pins you'll be able to do what i did with the the swerve or vice versa or the acrylics were or the acrylic you pin. So hang tight, i'm gon na try and get through these. I really want to be done. Um in less than 15 minutes, so we're going to jump right in the first thing i'm going to show you are our traditional u-pins. These were the things that we had first and they're called u-pins because of their shape, i'll show you they've, so they've got the two two prongs and they're curved to go along with the shape of your head. So almost all of these some have a little more curve than others, but they're all curved to go along with the shape of your head. Now these are or called dasha. I just love them um they're kind of an iridescent. I don't know if you can see that blue green - i'm not going to be demonstrating with these just because they don't show up in the hair, as well as some of the others and so for video purposes. I'M going to show you some others that might stand out a little more, that you can see a little better, but i love these and i wanted to show those to you. We also have, and i'm going to start with the sea turtles. Now these are blue. We have green on the website. The blue we had, but no longer have so you'll need to contact a stylist, which i would be happy to be your stylist. If you don't already have one, because these can only be purchased and stylist exclusives can only be purchased through a stylist now exclusives are things that never hit the website they're only available through stylus. So you need to follow their pages to see what they have. So i'm going to start with a traditional bun using our sea turtle u-pins. So i'm going just to show you how simple they are to use. I'M just going to wrap my hair up in a kind of a loose bun. We can go messy. We can go more tight and professional, but i'm going to take the: u pin i'm going to insert it with the curved side up make contact outside the bun flip it over keeping contact with my scalp and slide it in and i'm going to turn do the Same thing on this side grab a little bit. If you can see that flip it over slide it in there is my bun. I don't know how neat it is. It sounds like it's a little or it feels like it's a little a little messy like, but i could even make it a little messier make it look intentional. So, but you'll notice, no elastics, no bobbies, two u-pins, that's all it takes. This is the other set of dasha in, like a gold rose, gold gold finish it's still kind of that iridescent gold, but so that was a simple bun. Okay, so again that a bun can be done with any of these, so i'm knocking these out. Okay! Now i'm going to show you, we also have some with a bigger centerpiece, as it compares to maybe some with our smaller. So we have some very delicate little ones to some bigger blingier ones. Now we even have some without any adornment um for those. Ladies, maybe you're in the military who need a tight bun, but no adornment allowed or my daughter's a highland dance, um in highland dance competitions and she can't have anything decorative in her hair. But she will use these to hold her bun, even as she dances on stage with that repetitive pounding and they stay so amazing. Uh all day hold so i'm gon na do a ponytail. With these, i'm gon na show you a couple ponytails with those and you're thinking what no elastics so to start with the high pony. I'M going to start with my hair up toward the crown of my head. I normally would kind of flip over to get it up higher. Then i'm going to separate out, you can see just a little bit of hair out from the pony and i'm going to wrap it around my own hair, okay, so that wraps like so okay. So i've got that band of hair. If you can see that that's all, i have to pull my bangs down like a little bit down and you can do that before or after you put your hair back. So i'm going to take this and again i want it finishing curved with my head, so i'm going to stick it under that band that i created and i'm gon na i'm going to come up just before the band ends like where my finger is here. Go out again make contact flip it over and just slide that in and that has pulled my ponytail up to a high perky pony. You can kind of see underneath what's happening, but it has locked into that no elastic and an extremely cute comfortable all-day hold. So this one, if you excuse me if you have trouble initially try it with damp hair if you're getting hold because learning how to wrap that band is probably the hardest part, but it's really not that hard. You saw how easy and quick i did that once you get the hang of the technique of the going out and then coming back in for the with the u-pins. All of these are going to be a snap to do okay, so that was a high high pony. Now, i'm going to show you a low pony, and this time i am going to use the dasha in the gold okay. So i'm going to do the same thing only this time, i'm going to take my ponytail a little lower a little lower. You can put it wherever you want your ponytail to rest, but i'm going to take this one a little lower same thing. I'M going to wrap that hair. Now, however, my chair you take is, however thick your band is going to be. Ah, i brushed out my hair, but wanting to knot so i'm gon na wrap this time. I have less hair, not intentionally it's just the way. I grabbed it doesn't really matter, but you can see that band and this time i'm going to take the i still want it to rest with my head. So i'm going to grab that little bit of that band, not a lot. You can see that and then i'm going to make contact outside that twist or outside that band and slide it in i'm going to do the same thing on the other side, flip it and slide it. And then i have a ponytail with just the u-pins again. All day hold now, if your other try to end that piece that wrap you want kind of want to grab there, and i can never tell until i see it with a mirror. If i got it or not, but usually you can secure that last end of the tail that you wrapped around with the u-pin, so you can secure it there. So regular ponytail all-day hold okay, knocking these out. Okay, now we are going to move on to a french twist using our swerves. Now our swerves are i'm just going to show you one to start so you can see, they have an hourglass shape to them and they are slightly curved as well. You would think this: what could that possibly do when they first came out? We were all befuddled with them, but now we sleep in these. These are like 24-hour hair tools seriously. When we go backpacking we'll go on a week-long, backpacking trip. This is all i take. Is a swerve to sleep in to swim in everything it is a must-have. In my opinion, this is what i work out in if i'm going to exercise even running, but i'll show you to start with a french twist and i'm gon na for the french twist. I'M going to use one of our beaded swerves, and so i want to show you. We have multiple options with the the beaded swerves. Now i would not sleep in these. I wouldn't swim in these. I would go stick with the basic um, all metal swerves. For that, but the beaded ones, i just wanted to show you because they're so pretty so i'm going to do a french twist now. What i do is what i call a cheat fringe twist, where i wrap my hair around my thumb and i'm going to twist up. So i just kind of twist up kind of tuck those ends in and it's just kind of a quick and easy french twist. So i'm going to take that curve. The curve starts up grab it go from the other side and then slide it in and there you have easy peasy french twist all day hold, and you could do that with the u-pins that i've already already showed you and everything i'm going to show you okay. So that was a french twist and now i want to show you a celtic knot using our other swerves. Now we do have the flat. We have a variety of the regular swerves. We'Ve got the the hammered, look and all four metal metals. We have gold black nickel silver um. What am i missing? Gold black nickel silver and rose gold. So i'm going to show you the celtic knot in the rose gold. Okay, so for a celtic knot there are all kinds of variations on types of buns. You can do and a celtic knot is a variation on the bun. So what i'm gon na do is i take take my hair start out in a ponytail, then i'm gon na make the okay sign and i'm gon na wrap it under those three fingers. I'M gon na come around and grab it with this finger and pull it up through the center of that first loop. I did if you have longer hair, you just wrap around more, but you still keep that center part. Then what i'm going to do is i'm going to take that loop that i'm holding on to with my thumb and forefinger go through it with my swerve, then i come out again and then just slide. It slide it through easy peasy and you can again loosen that up if you want, but it just gives a different look to a traditional bun that felt like it was off-center yeah. I think that's like kind of off to the side. I didn't get that the the straightest, but you get the idea super simple again. You can do that with one new pin. I'Ve had ladies contact me and say i lost a u-pin. You can still do a lot of styles. There'S another style: i'm going to show you, but you could do that ponytail. I did at the top with one and you can do a celtic knot easily with just one of the u-pins. Now, with these, you only get the one with the smaller ones that i showed you before you get a set of two. These come as a set. This is just one all right now, along those same lines, we also have small swerves like so now. We have some that are decorative um. We don't have all the decorative possibilities in the in the short that we do the long, but there are options in the short decorative and we have the traditional. So i want to show you if you don't like bling in your hair, but you like having your hair up and look look nice. This is an option for you. The regular swerves like this full size or the small will pretty much disappear into your hair. Depending on what you, what color you choose, you have dark hair, you can choose a dark nickel or if you have blonde hair, you can use the gold or the rose gold and they will just kind of disappear in your hair. So that's what i want to show you for a half back celtic knot. So the same thing, i'm just going to take half my hair this time, smooth that out. So i'm going to do the same thing under those three fingers, bring it up grab it, pull it through that loop. Now this time i'm going to take my small swerve, do the same thing come through that loop go up out and then push that in and it gets to a point where it kind of just locks in, and i can put that up like that. So you have a celtic knot, really no bling to speak of that. You can really see it kind of hides in there. It'S kind of amazing, so you can do that with the large u-pins as well. If, for a french twist, i use the decorative one. If you have the regular to this one, you push that all the way into your french twist and you can't even hardly see it. So these you can kind of see as much as you want to see all right. So that was a celtic knot. Half back moving along to the more of the decorative ones. I want to show you a couple styles with our really blingy swerves. We were so excited when these came out um we have like super. Like t, we have a couple tiara like ones. This one is swarovski crystals, and this one seems to be this: one keeps selling out and selling out and selling out. This is our orchid and it is stunning it really doesn't come across how pretty it is in pictures or video. It just really catches the light with those rhinestones. Well, i want to show you this is what i kind of found this style by accident, and so i've started calling it the tony tail since my last name's tony. That was my son's idea. So it's a variation on a ponytail and i am going to start slightly off to the side because i swing it to the other side. So i get my ponytail and i'm going to start like i'm doing a bun, so i wrap my hair around. So you can see that twist starting to form. Okay, then, once i round the corner, i'm going to let that hair fall where it may and then i'm going to lock into it. Just like i did the u-pins in the bun just a little bit of that. That twist go up outside flip it over make contact with my scalp and push it down, and there i've got a cute ponytail with an orchid clip and you can see. I started it over to the left so that my ponytail hangs kind of more centered. On my head, so super simple and honestly, this is the style i use to work out in when i go walking. Even if i was going to go running on the treadmill, this is probably style. If i don't want to put it up tight in a high bun, when i'm sleeping, i do use one of the regular swerves and i just a high top knot or messy bun. Just on top of my head - and it works great - whether i've curled my hair or whether i've left it wavy and curly, it just seems to protect whatever style you have um, it keeps it loose. Some people call it pineappling when they wrap it up into a thing. I don't even do that. I do have a satin pillow case, but i just wrap that up there and i will say most days when i'm wearing my hair up like this. I don't even brush it. I don't have to because i would go from up to up to another up, so they really are amazing for that. Okay, so that was the tony tail. Now i'm going to show you a variation of that uh. That is the high twist, i'm going to call it the high twisted ponytail and i'll. Do it with our pearls all right. So with this one, i'm going to start almost like, i did that like you're gon na do a french twist, okay, you're gon na twist up or like you would use, maybe for a claw. You know you twist your hair up and you get that twist. Going up okay and then i'm gon na hold that twist there. Okay, my hair, is up here and then i'm gon na. Let that fall over where my, where i'm holding it, then i'm gon na, take this and i'm gon na feel down into that twist that i've got grab into it. Do the same technique. I'Ve been doing and just plop it down and then just kind of space that out and if you can see you can see how much of it you know you kind of want to. Sometimes i should have done the orchid one because it sticks up a little bit higher, but super simple, just very similar to the tony tail. Only it doesn't swing to the side. It comes it's kind of like a waterfall hair fall over that twist. So that's the variation on that and it's a high pony, and i do that with curly hair. I do it with curled, hair, um and third or fourth or fifth day hair. So that's another super simple one for all day hold all right now, a top knot. We also have items called up jewels um for you pin that have jewels, so we have five different color variations on these from, like a rose gold, black nickel, um, there's a smoke kind of like a mother of pearly, looking one emerald and blue. So since i'm wearing blue, i'm gon na do with a blue and black nickel and for a top knot, i use the same technique that i do for that french twist. That start, i just started up a little bit higher, so starting a high ponytail wrap that hair under the three fingers. Oh, no, i'm sorry! I started to do a celtic knot. That'S the wrong one! So with this one, i'm going to wrap my hair over my thumb and then twist it up, i'm going to twist that hair and i'm going to keep that hair on my thumb and make a loop. So i hold that loop there and then i'm going to pinch that take my thumb out, so that loop is still there looks kind of silly at first, but hang on. You can do this as high or as low as you want again. I'M going to lock into that that twist, hopefully you can see that you don't have to get a lot. In fact, the more you get the tighter it will be. You don't want it uncomfortable. So there's a little bit of trial and error. So you see that coming across there like that, then i take this and i can mess it up, pull it and pull the ends out if they work sometimes a lot of times it's just. This is what i want if i want just like a messy updo uh. This will this works great, so it's kind of like those top knot, but again no elastics you're not constantly adjusting this, because this is going to hold all day long. I feel like i've got a cantaloupe, that's sticking out behind my head over here or or or it's the greenery behind me um. So this one, the top knot again just uh easy, messy updo, so much more comfortable than elastics all right and you don't have to keep readjusting it top knot. We are coming down the home stretch, one more and then well before. I show you that i will say i'm not demonstrating this one. I could, but i'm just saving time we do have if you have really thick hair. I don't recommend these for if you have really thin fine hair, but we've got these natural wood u-pins as well. That will work for all these styles, but they do tend to work better because they're thicker here they're not as thin. They do work better in heavier thicker, hair um. So i'm just saving time with that, but we have all these acrylic look at all those colors. I just love them and i don't even have them all, because they've kind of wandered off into my bedroom and they're mine now um, but we've got from mother of pearl marble, purple pink um the tortoise shell light tortoise shell and i'm going to use the light Tortoise shell, because i think it'll show up a little bit better, but black all kinds of these acrylic u-pins. These are great for swimming um. You could do these in salt, water, chlorine, it really doesn't matter. These are going to be great and we are worried that about breaking. I have yet to hear of anybody breaking one and i've been tough on them. They'Ve gotten dropped slammed in the car, you name it. They are sturdy. So i'm going to show you a lazy, wrap bun for this one, and this is one of the only times that i personally go up and it scoops up rather than curving with my head, because it just doesn't really need it for the hold. But most of the time i would use this curved side down, but i'll show you the lazy, wrap, bun, okay, so for a lazy wrap it's similar. It starts out, like the celtic i'm gon na, make that okay sign with my hair, pull it around. My three fingers when i get to this point, though i'm going to kick my thumb out and so that i've got now i'm kind of creating an eight on my fingers and then, if i have excess hair, just continue wrapping that around until the ends are secure. There so i've got my forefinger in one side and my thumb in the other, i'm going to take my u-pin, the acrylic you pin go down and follow that finger. All the way down to close to my scalp come up where that other finger was to kind of scoop up. Well, i feel ones. Oh there. They are and then kind of curve up like that. So again, just a different knot. This one, i i put it up kind of high. I usually wear this one kind of low um, but you could wear it high low again. You can position those on your head wherever um, you would like those well. That is it. I just wanted to do a real, quick. Oh i went a little bit over, but i did post it posted while i was on here kind of like the lowdown on flexis and flexi flips. So there's another youtube tutorial a pre-recorded one on that, because i wanted you guys to get kind of the scoop on our biggest sellers while the sale was still going. So i didn't want to wait till longer into the event. So i hope you found this helpful. If you have questions, please, let me know um, these are kind of a one. Size fits all unless you have super fine, um real thin hair. Some, ladies will use this exclusively. This is great for ponytails doing the wrapped, ponytail or halfbacks for anybody, but if you have especially fine hair, you may find these more helpful, but, generally speaking, even those with shorter finer hair. I like the traditional sizes, so when in doubt i'd go with the full size. We do have a great return and exchange policy if necessary. Well, i hope you, ladies, have a wonderful day, and i will talk to you again soon. Bye

Em Louise Fairley: Love all these... and honestly, while watching I've successfully done my first Celtic knot with my favorite medium flexi in day 2 hair. It feels so much more secure than my hacked version and will try it again in the morning

Christine Cann: Thank you for your great videos. I am brand new to these products. I got the small swerve, but think I should get the larger one. I thought I needed longer hair for the larger ones, but it seems that won't be necessary. I am eager to be able to learn to do all of these styles.

juli drew: Okay, I'm only on the second style, the ponytail, and I had to chase my husband down to show him. That's awesome.

Julie Mann: Hi Christine. I'm having so much trouble doing a french twist w/ my wig on a stand. There are some layers & that may be the trouble. I have your upins--they are pretty. Your video is great. Thanks.

AmyB_HealthComesFirst: OK I have a question because I’m just learning about these and I’ve never seen this before. My hair is thin literally thinning and I am doing what I can to get healthy again but what are you do for people who have thin hair who need to have their hair pulled back for waitressing

lynngroll1: My hair is just so incredibly thick and for some reason I cannot do it that way I have to just keep playing around with it and do like a sewing kind of thing and then push it in there I wish these U pens would come larger
