This is flat-twist updo hairstyle done on natural hair.

This style can be done on those that are transitioning as well.

If you are unable to flat-twist, you can do cornrows or simply twist the hair over to the side pin it and then two-strand twist it down the rest of the way.

What I Used:

Hair Moisturizer

Coconut Oil

EcoStyler Gel

Hair Clips

Bobbi Pins

Hair Pins

Comb

Music Produced By: Kevlar

Thanks for watching!! Take Care and God Bless!!

Hey youtube, it is me tiffany, and i am back with another hair tutorial. This is an updo with flat twist and i hope you all like it. These are the products that i used and i am doing this on stretched out hair. I guess you want to say i had twisted my head and it was so humid here in oklahoma. This is what i was left with when i got off work, so i decided to go ahead and put my hair away, since it was going to be raining for a couple more days here in oklahoma, so i decided to do an updo, and this is what I'M giving you today, i am parting, my hair on the side and doing really nice clean parts, because your parts will be seen with this hairstyle and y'all. Please excuse my comb. No, i ain't that ratchet, but i had done my hair earlier that week and my comb broke so anyways. I have since replaced it, but what i did was just apply my moisturizer and oil to my hair, and now i am doing my edges with some eco styler gel and then i will begin flat twisting my hair. This style can also be done with cornrows. If you can't flat twist or just twisting the hair over to the side, if you cannot do either one of those, so just repeat that process a couple more times and now we're going to begin in the back and you're just going to do that. The same way that you did the sides you're going to go ahead and section the hair off and then apply your moisturizer and oil and then you're going to use the eco styler gel for your edges and then go ahead and start twisting the hair up. Then you should be left with something like that. I ended up with four flat twists on the side. I didn't flat twist it all the way to the middle. I left the middle undone because then you will be just doing single two strand twists with that. But at this point i'm going to go ahead and start working on my bang area and get that situated and put out of the way. And then you want to repeat that same process on the other side, just flat, twisting the hair over and then the very middle that you did not flat twist you're going to go ahead and single two strand twist it down now what that does is it gives The hair more volume, more thickness when you're trying to do the updo and it'll be more full, so you're going to leave the middle part on untouched and then you're going to go ahead and two strand twist that area down. You should end up with something like this towards the middle and then continue the process of flat twisting on the sides down and then two strand twisting in the middle and then you should have something that looks like this and now for my bang area. I'Ll go ahead and do the same thing apply my moisturizer and oil to the hair, and then i will go ahead and part it with my fingers and then start flat twisting the bang area up and then, as you can see here, i'm just pinning the hair In place using hair, pins and bobby pins and then i'll just let the video play from here, i'm just tucking and pinning the hair making sure that all of my ends are put away and then and that they are not exposed to give a true protective hairstyle. So all right, so this is the hairstyle. I hope you all like it and i hope you all try it. So if you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the section below and as always. Thank you all. Please continue to watch for pictures at the end. You all take care and god bless and peace out. You

TiffanyNicholsDesign: Thank you...and I am so happy that you tried it. When I have it in a protective style I make sure to moisturize it well before I put it up. If my scalp feels itchy I will using a little tea tree oil and put it throughout my scalp or I will put a little ACV (apple cider vinegar) on my scalp and rub it off with a warm cloth. You can also spray a mixture of water and oils to your scalp and hair as well for shine and a little added moisture.
