Today we are talking all about different #HairTypes! Everyone’s hair is SO different, so it’s very important to identify what type you have, so you know which products to use to help make your hair the healthiest looking it can be! Which Hairitage product are you MOST excited about?? ✨

As you guys probably already know, I am launching my own hair product line #Hairitage this January 2020 in Walmart! I’m so excited to finally release these products that I have been working tirelessly on for over a year now. One of the biggest questions I’ve been receiving from you guys is: Which products should I use on my hair, and why?

This is a BIG question for me to answer, because everyone’s hair is SO different! In today’s video, I’m going into detail about the 4 different HAIR TYPES, in hopes of helping you gain a better understanding of your own hair. This, in turn, will better explain which Hairitage products I would recommend, specifically for you!

It all boils down to how your #hair grows out of your head, and the pattern that the shape of the hair takes… I know it sounds complicated, but I promise after this video it will make more sense! There are 4 main hair types, with subcategories (as you get more specific): 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 3B, 3C, 4A, 4B, 4C. To put it VERY simply, this chart refers to your hair in its natural state, meaning without any styling.

Type 1A is extremely straight, with no wave naturally at all, while a type 4C it the tightest, coily curls that you can have!

My absolute favorite aspect of my hair product line is that you will be able to find amazing products for your hair, no matter what hair type or texture you have! It’s always been my dream to create a line where people can find all of their hair needs in one place on the shelf, for an affordable price. I’m so proud to say that I have done that with Hairitage, and now I’m just so stinkin’ excited for you guys to try it!

Hey everyone, I'm Mindy from Cute Girls, Hairstyles, and today we are going to talk about how to type your hair.. This is going to be a little bit talk-heavy more than normal. However, probably one of the most important videos you can watch simply because you're gon na learn a lot about your hair. And if you don't already know this, it may completely change how and what you're. Using on your hair, because you're gon na figure out your type, which is gon na help, you figure out which products to use. ( optimistic music ), Let's get into it., What determines your hair type is the shape of the follicles on your head.. That'S not controllable! By you., Obviously it's just genetics., So the shape of the follicle, if it is flatter or more oval, tends to produce curly hair., The more oval the more flat the curlier, the hair.. Where, if you have more of a circular type follicle, then you tend to get straighter hair.. So that's what determines whether your hair is basically straight all the way up to very coily.. Now, on top of that, you also have playing into this the shape of your hair pattern.. So when I say shape of your pattern, it can be anything from straight just straight. Stick straight like up and down straight to a wave, that's a soft, loose wave to a curl or even to a coil.. That is the shape of your hair. It'S the pattern that your hair makes., Those two things like how it grows and the shape of the pattern itself is what determines your hair type.. The man originally credited with coming up with the first typing system is named Andre Walker, and I know that his system is the one that kind of introduced the idea of type one two three and four, but I feel like in community in general. Now, there's kind of this mashup where they've taken Andre, Walker's and they've mixed it with other people's typing systems, and so I know like NaturallyCurly, has one that's really good. That'S kind of meshed with Andre Walker's too.. I'M just gon na put that out there that I feel like now when you're talking about hair typing system you're predominantly using Andre Walker's, but you're, probably leaning into a few others as well when you're referencing, charts or things like that.. So, let's get into the basics of typing your hair. ( upbeat music ). So there are four basic types that everyone pretty much agrees: on. Type one which is basically straight some variation of straight.. It can be thin straight hair. It can be medium straight hair. It can be coarse straight hair, but it's basically just straight. Type. Twos are your waves.. So within that there's variations of course, and then type three is your curls., Like typically what you would call somebody ,''? Oh, you have curly hair.'', They're, probably a type three. and then there's type fours, which are largely like your coily/kinky type, hair textures.. That'S how you type one to four., So you kind of go ``. Okay, do I have straight hair ,'', or do I have a little bit of looser waves? ?'' Do I have curly? Do I have coily ?'' And then you can basically figure out, like I'm, probably roughly in the threes or I'm roughly in the fours, I'm roughly in the twos.. So if you were gon na ask me on my hair when it's wet like in it's natural state., Obviously I've curled it today. So this is not my natural curl, texture or pattern.. When I am just with my hair sopping wet, I fall within kind of the two I feel like.. I have wavy hair, it's definitely not straight, but it's definitely not curly.. So I used to always tell people when I was a kid like ,''. Oh, it's not straight enough to be straight ,'' and it's not curly enough to be curly ,''. So I always have to do something with my hair. Like I either have to curl it or I have to straighten it. Or maybe I can try to diffuse it. But like I couldn't just let my hair air dry, because it would just look like this mash up of waves and curl mix., That's type two for me. (, upbeat, music, ), Okay. Under each one of those categories, there's subcategories. Under type one. You have type A type B and type C. Most people, just kind of mash type, one together and just go. It'S just straight hair, but there are type A type B and type C. And that's more of just about whether your hair is thin, medium or coarse. And then under type, two there's also type 2A type, 2B and 2C and under three there's 3A 3B 3C.. Can you see the pattern here And under four there's, 4A, 4B and 4C.? So what determines the difference between 2A and 2C is typically the width of the curl like how loose or how tight it is. Under 2A, like a 2A, maybe almost virtually straight with just the slightest little bend where a 2C is going to be somebody that has More of a slight S, curve shape to their hair. Type. Threes, typically have a more corkscrew curls.. So the difference between a type 3A and a 3C is simply whether it's a loose corkscrew curl or a tighter corkscrew curl. And when you get into the fours, you have 4A to 4C and the difference between this one. This one's a little bit different, because a 4A is also that corkscrew curl. But it's very very tight where the 4Bs and 4Cs move into more of a zigzag type shape to their hair.. Some 4Cs don't have a defined pattern even.. So when you talk about Paisley's hair, I kind of reference, sometimes that hers is typically 4B and 4C.. I should say that it's very normal for most of us to have more than one specific type on our head.. I have anywhere from a 2A all the way to a 2C on mine just where it grows differently. Like underneath. I have some pieces that tend to be more straight., Where on top, I might get a little more wave into my hair and that's very normal.. So Paisley is typically 4B and 4C., So at some points in her hair, her hair is definitely a zigzag pattern and it's very very coily and tight. And then in some spots she almost has like an undefined curl pattern to her hair or very, very super super Super tiny corkscrews like a little tiny bit like a 4A., That's very normal. So if find that when you're looking at the charts that I'm sure are popping up on your screen and you're going ,'', I feel like I'm more than one of those.''. That'S really normal.! Most people have more than one on their head at any given time.. This is really just a rough typing system.. Obviously, there's a lot more that play into everyone's specific hair.. Remember you are the expert on your own hair, not me., So I'm just giving you guidelines on how to try to figure out and sort out your own hair type. But ultimately, it's just you learning more about your hair, studying it and trying different things to figure out what works for your specific hair type.. Besides, hair curl pattern and hair type also things that play into it are porosity density and even elasticity.. So all of that combines to make your hair yours, which is kind of cool'cause. It means that every hair type is really kind of unique in it's own way., (, upbeat music, ), And it's simply because different products work on different hair types differently.. If you're using something that is not a good product for your hair type, that might determine why your hair is oily or it's too dry, or it seems brittle that kind of thing. And then you can find products that merge and mesh with your hair type. Much better and the way that you're using those products lean into your natural hair type and make your hair even more amazing. ( upbeat music ). So when I started creating Hairitage, the goal was to create a hair line that worked for all types of hair.. Obviously, within our family we have Kamri, who is definitely a type one.. She has just straight hair., It's straight dry, it's straight wet, it's just straight and then I'm a two.. I think we even have a couple of threes like Brooklyn, maybe leans a little more towards a 3A and then we have Paisley and Dax who are in the fours.. So within our own family, we bridge the gap entirely between hair types, and what I found was happening was that when I was going to the store, it was super frustrating because I was shopping for maybe my type of hair over here and Paisley's type of hair Over there - and I was also noticing that it was like general hair products where over here and natural hair products were over there, and I was frustrated because I was like ,''. Why wouldn't I want natural stuff on my hair'' and why wouldn't I want to be able to shop'' just one spot ?'', So I created a line that basically caters to pretty much all types of hair so that you could shop it in one location. In the Formulas we put a lot of my very favorite ingredients that are good for your hair and we made a really hefty no-no list so that you guys wouldn't have to deal with some of the garbage ingredients in your hair. ( upbeat, music. ). Let'S talk Hairitage! Shall we So I am gon na, introduce you guys to a few of the products and why they would work for various types of hair or how you might use them differently, depending on hair types.. In the line we have two shampoos.. We have a gentle daily, wash shampoo and a conditioning wash shampoo.. This is otherwise known as a cowash.. The difference between these two is that this is just your standard, basic generic shampoo.. It'S a really good formulation, it's a great shampoo, but it's just what everybody would consider a normal shampoo.. The cowash is a little bit different because it has conditioning agents into the formulation as well., So it's gon na be a little heavier than a normal shampoo.. It'S also not going to sud as much as a normal shampoo.. Typically, what I find is that again we're talking generalities, here'cause, there's always gon na, be the outliers, but like Kamri tried using this in her hair, and it was a little heavy on her hair. The gentle one works great, where I can use the cowash like every two to three times when I wash my hair just'cause. It gives it a little more moisture and a little more hydration, but funny enough as a type four Paisley only uses this.. I need the hydration and the moisture going back into her hair that normal shampoos can tend to strip off.. So I want those oils left in Paisley's hair.. That'S a great example of how one product can cross just how it's being used or the types of hair and how it will affect the end results that you're getting based on your hair type.. So also in the line we have three conditioners.. These are straight up. Can be used by any hair type across the board. We have A Held High, which is for people that want a little extra volume in their roots. Might be great if you have thin hair and you want a little more va-voom. SOS, which is a deep repair And moisturizer. This is great for restoring.. I love this because if you have dried damaged, hair from coloring or highlighting or anything like that, this is my baby. I love this conditioner. And then we have Tame The Mane, which is a smoothing conditioner.. So if you are a curly girled hair, who feels like their hair can be frizzy., I know Brooklyn gets that sometimes when she brushes her hair and her hair's, just like whoof. Whoof., Then this Tame, The Mane, the smoothing conditioner, would be a great option for you.. Next up in Hairitage, we have our leave-in conditioners.. Now I did two. One is a spray. That'S gon na spray on a little lighter., Just a spritz spritz spritz version and the other one is a pudding. That'S gon na be a little heavier leave-in., For example, on this leave-in conditioner the Light As A Feather the one that spritzes in I can use this on Kamri's hair if it's tangly and she's trying to brush it through. I can use it on my hair. If I'm getting out of the pool - and I have chlorine in it., I can use it in Paisley's hair if I'm taking down her braids and I need a little more slip to get those braids undone a little easier and a little quicker.. So this is a great crossover product for all hair types as well. The Strength, Training, Leave-in Pudding is another crossover product, but I feel like it tends to lean a little more towards type three and type four hair.. I will use this on mine just after the shower., When my hair is wet I'll, just take a little dollop in my palms like this and I'll just run it through the ends right here in the front where my hair tends to get the driest and the Most damaged., I know that some people as a type three or type four, if you would have dry hair, you can literally just take it and put it all over in your hair. Paisley, especially Daxton, uses this everyday on his hair, just as a great leave-in, where We take it and rub it through his hair to help hold the moisture and keep his hair, nice and soft.. The next section of products in Hairitage are our restore products and there are three., So the first one is an Apple A Day. It'S an apple, cider, vinegar, rinse, and I didn't really understand how to utilize these effectively. Until I adopted Paisley and then realized what a great product it is for all scalps frankly., It's great to cleanse your scalp condition your hair.. I love it as a pre-wash like if I feel like my hair, is just getting buildup in it or my scalp, maybe isn't as clean or I'm noticing some dandruff flakes or whatever I'll, throw a little apple, cider, vinegar wash in there as a pre-wash. Before I wash my hair, but in Paisley's hair, she has her hair in cornrows or up in braids or something where I can't get all of the way down into her scalp everywhere.. I love love, love, an apple, cider, vinegar, rinse to just rinse through her hair quickly.. Also, I put a pointed cap on it just so you can really get down into your scalp through your hair and make it really nice and easy.. I think this is one of those products that people don't know enough about or utilize enough.. So if you guys have five minutes, sometimes just google the benefits to an apple, cider, vinegar, rinse., You're, gon na die, you're gon na, be amazed and wonder why you weren't doing more of it.. We of course, vinegar smells terrible. So, with the Hairitage smell mixed in there it smells much better.. Then we have Massacred. This is another one of my very favorite products.. This is a hair mask.. I use this straight up as a conditioner all the time in Paisley's hair. As a type four. You may just wan na make this your daily conditioner or your weekly conditioner, where for me, I probably do this and SOS intermix. This one's a little deeper, a little heavier, but it might get too heavy. If I use it all the time. Argan oil, everyone loves their oils.. This is just great to put in your hair to moisturize and re-hydrate., And then we move into the purple section, which is our styling products.. We have texturizing powder, curling, cream, hairspray, dry, shampoo, edge control and a gel. When it comes to styling. Obviously, any hair texture can use these styling products. It just depends on how you prefer to style your hair, whether you prefer dry, shampoo or hairspray., Whether you wan na lay your little baby hairs down with an edge control or you're, using a gel for a great dance bun for your daughter, whatever it may be. You'Re free to use that. One of my favorites if you have thinner hair or you want more volume in the root I use this everyday. Is this texturizing powder, which I don't think people know enough about. Every time I show people this product they just die. They're. Just like `` What ?'' I never knew this existed. Why didn't? I know this ?'', So that is Hairitage you guys. And the definition of hair types.. I hope that helps so that you guys can figure out a little bit better. What your curl pattern is, what your hair type is and then based on that, how you may wan na use the products. Do a little research play around with them. Definitely figure out what your hair is gon na love and what your hair may need a little Less of or a little more of., If you guys haven't already subscribed to our channel, be sure to click the button right here.. You can find lots of other hair videos by clicking over here and we'll see you guys. Later., Bye, guys, ( upbeat, music, ),

Mindy McKnight: What is your hair type?? Comment below! Don’t forget to keep up with my NEW hair care product line on Instagram HERE: https://www.instagram.com/hairitagebymindy/ 's -Mindy

pempo k: Paisley was lucky enough to get adopted by a woman who understands her hair, cause that's usually the excuse for people to not respect interracial adoption. Love u mindy

Mona: I love how she doesn't bother to mention how race plays influences hair type, and I mean this in a positive way because so many people assume if you're this color / race then you _must_ have x hair type and if you don't, it must be weave or hair extensions. Subscribed!

A Sens: It’s so frustrating walking into the store and have a whole aisle with hair products then having a tiny shelve for “natural ethic” hair. Most of the time I have to go to either certain stores or order online just to find 4c products. Thank you for creating this line. I’m definitely going to try it out and see where it takes me.

Andrea Lombera: Congratulations on Hairtige it’s so great that you’ve created a line for all hair types

Sarah Abraham: im type 2A, my boyfriend is 3C, my best friend is 4C and i absolutely LOVE learning how to take care of their hair and make it look as beautiful and healthy as can be!

yuktha gowda: Hey Mindy, my hair is just like Brooklyn’s and I can never get the frizz out of it so my hair is always up in a ponytail or bun which is really damaging it ( I think ), so which products does Brooklyn use to get rid of her frizz?

LR-I: You should do a paisleys curly hair routine!!!!! Like if u agree.

ReynaRoooo: I’m so happy this will be available at Walmart, shows that truly you care who can access your products. Can’t wait to buy it

Haley: My hair type is just frizz and flyaways lol

Rachael D.: I love this!! I love how Mindy is EDUCATED on different hair types and is making a change in products that everyone can use!! I have 3c/4a type hair and this is something i would greatly consider buying when it comes out. I am so happy that something like learning and knowing about different hair textures can help unite different people in such a great way! This makes me so happy :)

Hallel Calandrillo: I was literally googling the difference in hair types this morning to try to figure this out! Thanks for making this video!! I think I’m somewhere between a 2a and 2b

Brenn B: My hair is so type 1 that one summer I was camping and this girl asked, “Did you straighten your hair?” And there were zero outlets so I don’t know why she’d even think that was a possibility.

Ashley Christiansen: I am a type 1 or 2a and my hair isn't very curly but sometimes it gets some waves, but I never would've known what hair type I had if it weren't for this video. I love you Mindy and your family and also Haritiage is so awesome I really want to buy some of your products:)

Holly Michelle: Thank you so much Mindy for creating this video. I have had trouble figuring out what type of hair I have. After watching this, I have found that I’m in the 2a and 2b. Whereas, my wife has I want to say more of a type 3b, and I’ve been trying to find the right product for her that holds her curl and also controls the frizz. I really appreciate that you’ve created such an amazing hair line. This was very helpful to me.

Hailey Cardella: These hair products are soooooooooo good. And thank you so much Mindy for making them so easily available!

j3rryb3rry: Thank you for this. It’s nice to see a diverse group of ppl pushing curl pattern system to move away from the idea of “ good vs. nappy hair” and all that comes from not understanding the curls

Jamie Titus: I’m a 3b-3c gal! My sisters and I are super excited about your hairline coming out and can’t wait to try it!

Rachel Hines: My hair use to be a 1 but after having my first baby I’m more of a 2B. I can’t wait to try these products!! ❤️

alyssa: Combining the “leave-in pudding” and “ahead of the curl” products from the hairitage line is THE perfect combination for my hair! *FOR CONTEXT* My hair ranges anywhere from type 3a-3c based on the area of my hair we’re considering. I’m not completely sure of my porosity because I have mostly low porosity traits except for the fact that my hair dries _super_ quick... like in a matter of MINUTES, so that’s been pretty confusing. As for density, my hair is _extremely_ dense; it comes as a surprise to most people how thick it actually is. Anyways, all in all, those two products have been amazing for my hair and I was honestly shocked at how well they worked for me. They moisturize my hair, reduce frizz (which my hair is usually SO frizzy so that was great), and provide a hold that’s both secure and soft at the same time. Thank you for coming out with this line :)

Sarah Benitez: Oh my gosh, Mindy, thank you for this video!! My hair texture has changed, so I have been trying to figure out what type my hair is so I can take care of it better. Because now I have more wavy/curlier hair, rather than almost stick straight, and I've been trying to figure out how to make it look nice when I leave it natural.

Tahira Mojumder: Love u Mindy and ur family u guys are such a cute family Enjoy ur Christmas Thx this helps a lot I have learnt a lot which I didn’t know about my own hair Ur product sounds really good might try it out if I can

live4bloodalone: I got the curl creme last night, used after my cowash and it brought life to my curls!! I am a 3b/3c and just did a big chop on my hair. I am mixed and it is hard for me to find great natural hair products! I am so happy I saw this line at Walmart last night!

Rendaboyd: I absolutely LOVEE how educated you are on this subject. And literally for ALL hair types!? So appreciating❤️

Kenley M.: Hi mindy!! I've been watching cute girls hairstyles for about 3 years. I love watching the videos and learning alot from them! I've learned how to braid finally! ❤

Gia: I'm so excited to try these products!!! My hair falls somewhere in the 3C/4A range and I am a serious product JUNKIE so I'm pumped!!!

Kate Cusson: This video was super helpful! My hair is between a 2C and 3A. I usually flat iron it straight but would love to find the right product to support my curls :)

Sadee Shay: Oh my gosh! I can’t wait! My hair is about a 2C-3B and I never just leave it down. Which I would love to do sometime and make it work! My under hair is SUPER CURLY and the top is wavy. Anyway. Love you Mindy! Love you McKnights!❤️❤️❤️

Karen Rademacher: Thank you for running through this list. I will have to go through this again with pen and paper to figure out what might be the best for my 7 year old daughter's caucasian brittle thin curly hair. I put her in the 3's more B & C. Her hair breakage is a huge concern for us.

jimmy duran: we love a hair care line that covers all its bases

Alex 🏠: I had no idea there was a new line like this! I expected it to be pricey but its actually affordable and at Walmart! I'm so excited to try out your products thank you!

Kelsey Lopez: Yay!! I'm so excited for Hairitage! I have curly hair and have never found a great curl cream, I'm so excited to try your products out next month!!!

O ST: I have been following your channel since you first started with heatless hairstyles and I just want to say I love how your family has grown and your love for your family shows through in every way even in your hair videos. I never replied to these videos but I just want to say there are not a lot of nice and kind YouTubers who have good information on their platform and have a lovely Spirit. Keep up the good work and content. I cannot wait to try your product. God bless your entire family. I wish there were more loving good-hearted human beings like you especially on this platform.

Brandy Freeman: Thank you so much for doing this video!! Not long ago I commented asking if you would do a video about this. Everything I was reading on the internet was just confusing me. You just made it all make sense. I also love the charts as that was very helpful in determining the type. Can't wait to try the Hairitage Products come January!!

Danielle: I cannot wait to try Hairitage, especially since it will be at Walmart!!! Thank you so much Mindy :)

Katherine Cole: I'm so excited to use Tame the Mane!!! Hairitage sounds like a GREAT line!!

Melanie Leyba: Wow!!! So excited to try it. Love love love your product already! I'm really into hair like you and everything you came up with is so the answer to hair problems. Im a 2c to 3a. I admire you so much and how you and your family has transformed and grown in so many ways over the years. I want to be like you when I grow up.

Lara Medley: Very excited to try your line! I thought my hair was just a weird frizzy mess my whole life. Turns out I have type 2 hair and just wasn’t using the right products! I’ve been following the curly girl method for almost a year and my hair is doing so well.

abby harder: My hair is definitely type 2. I enjoyed this video so much! It was so informative! Thank you for making this video Mindy!

Itschristeljoy: Can't wait Mindy for the products to be available for international shipping and a big congrats greetings from Austria!

Daniela’s Equestrian Adventures: I’m a 2C with 3A. My hair used to be curly but the more I have grown the more S shaped it is (I have a couple strands that are just straight too) which is normal considering that my mom one year had wavy the next straight then wavy again.

Hannah Adhikari: CGH is the BEST! It's so helpful, interesting, and fun!

chapter13_13 fan: Paisley has beautiful hair

alexa: AHHH IM SO EXCITED FOR THE VINGER WASH !!! As a young adult with type 3B really thick hair I STRUGGLE with buildup !!!

Bella: I have mixed curls 2c and 3a its so nice to get information on hair types thank you for this video.

C J: THANK YOU for calling ALL categories CURLS. I really hate when people try to differentiate. Curls are still curls even when the textures differ. Cool video. Also, kudos to you just recognising the separation of hair products in the stores. It is something that I fuss about to my family all of the time. There is really no reason for it.

Paula Ann: Thanks for the info on all the products! With 6 girls with different hair types I needed this knowledge. Will definitely be purchasing.

Ellie Hills: I am so excited for these products! Love being able to hear which ones work for me ah I'm so excited! Its going to be so amazing to try them out

koyuki156: Your channel was the first hair-related YouTube channel that I followed when I wanted to learn how to do my own hair, and I'm excited to see that you now have your own line of hair products! Just wish I could actually try them :( (I live in Singapore #sads) Also, this video was really informative! I think my hair is a mix of 1 and 2a; I thought it was weird that majority of my hair is straight but there are some wayward pieces that are wavy. Interesting to learn that it's normal hahhaa

Tai J: Great video ..knowing my porosity helped tremendously. Because even though I am type 4 my protein to moisture ration is different then my sisters who is also type 4 so our products do differ.

A J: Great video, lots of information. I will definitely check this line out to see if works for my type 4 Kinky coily hair !

Tiffani XOXO: I’m between a 3b and 3c and love it. I didn’t used to and fried it to death but refreshed it and got it healthier now and it’s great

Amy Horikami: I'm type 2 too!!! We have all types in this house I'm excited to try your product that helps with my front baby hairs. ❤️

Alexis: This is great. It’s clear all brands can cater to all hair types and it’s great you’re doing this !

jenna: Good to know someone feels me. My hair is the exact same, can’t just wear my natural hair, it stinks sometimes when you’re trying to do heatless styles!

Melanie Leyba: Just got the product abd used it for the first time love love love!!! I can already tell its going to do great things for my hair. I did have a few questions I would like to get your feed back on. I'm a 2c-3a so naturally dry but its also very long (to the backs of my knees.) So the ends have a hard time staying hydrated. Question 1. Rinsing your hair in cold water after conditioning. Heard its good for retaining moisture. 2. Sleeping with your hair in a bun while its wet. Any knowledge or insight would be appreciated! Again Amazing Job on the product its a blessing to many.

Irma :: Ouu can’t wait to get your products and I’m so proud of you for making your own hair products!

Abigail Rachel: I love you are teaching this!!! I saw the ingredients on your haircare and thought I can use her products! And now you’re teaching this! I’m so happy!

Srishti Rao: Yayy!! No I'm less confused about what products to use in my hair!!! *I will be switching to hairtage when it comes out!*

Reema Gooty: My hair is silky and straight and this video is so helpful to figure out which shampoo or conditioner goes with my hair Thx Mindy! Love u!

Joni Smith: Can’t wait for these to be out on the shelves. We also have the type 1-3 hair in my house, so, it’ll be cool to find something for everyone.

Tina Thompson: I have thin straight hair. I thought ACV would destroy my hair but a friend with good hair recommend it so I tried. My hair was so smooth and shinny!

ilovepink: My hair is definitely 4B/4C. I'm excited to give these products a try. ❤

Marcella: I can't wait to try your brand. So happy you made the price point for everyone and easy to purchase in a big chain store.

The Mara Mentality: I will SO be buying some of these products!! Can’t wait ❤️

Kierst: So anyone else just wants to buy every single product from this amazing line!

Lisette J: SO EXCITED! I love trying out new products for my type 2 hair

Lauren Moffett: I just bought a heritage product a couple weeks ago and I had no idea it was your brand!! I got the leave in conditioner to use when my hair gets really stubborn and I’ve been loving it!!

Jennifer MB: Congratulations Mindy! I hope you are so proud of your achievements and accomplishments. Can't wait to actually go to Walmart for once in my life

Mindi Yates: Love love love how your products smell and preform!!! ♥️

Jane Azure: First, Thank you for making this available to everyone by way of Walmart. Most of us I feel don’t shop at salons or online for hair products so this is awesome!! Second, Which would you recommend for breakage? My hair is fine and breaks easily and I really need an anti-breakage shampoo to combat that. Even with one I still get those strands in the front top that like to snap. Also do your products contain protein? Sorry for all the questions. I think you all have such lovely hair and have watched you since the twins were tiny, so I would really love to try your products.

Ella Claire: Mine is definitely type 1. Very straight, fine, smooth and flat.. my hairdresser always comments my hair feels like baby's hair It wont ever able to hold volume and curls, which often frustrates me

mxngos: This helped so much! I have really wild hair and it is so helpful to find out my hairtype!!

Paige Falter: The packaging is beautiful

Ashley Ziegler: I'm a 2B underneath and a 2A on top... so fun to learn about my hair!!

Daniela’s Equestrian Adventures: I’m so excited to get these products! I love supporting locals (I live in the DFW metroplex too)

Sheri Parsons: Unfortunately I think I’m more of a type 2C at the front of my hair and a 3B at the back. The best thing I ever discovered was the Diva Curl cut! My hair dresser cuts my hair dry to see how my natural curls sit. She cuts it differently in the front so that I can scrunch it to get curls that match the back ‍♀️‍♀️

Chanta Dunn: Thank you for doing this I like the fact we all have hair and we just need to take care of it....and thats the basis for everybody having good products

saratheteacher: As a type 1 with thick hair, I felt very excluded from this. Happy for your product and the diversity on the hair types that need it though! Just not for me :)

Maryem Agha: You're such a positive person. ❤️

Hannah Adhikari: After watching this video, I think I have 3a hair! Thanks for this video, Mindy, it was really interesting, and I am glad to know that I can now confidently say what type of hair I have.

Cate Jackson: I love my devacurl but I’m so excited to try hairitage!!

oldladygrady100: I have 3c 4a 4b and some fantastic 2c at my crown Haha. Low porosity for my awesome thirsty fro. I have thick strands and the density is real but it's a lot of fun . Great video Mindy and congratulations to you and the family on Hairtage!

Z: Thank you for all the tips Mindy!

Jolly Jihane: Cheers to you! What a wonderful accomplishment and lovely to see it's an inclusive product. I pray the public receives it well. ❤

Karen1Nicola: My hair is a poker straight 1, but I was still interested in seeing this video from you. Very informative

Stephanie: I am so excited for you ! And I am excited to purchase the product line !!! Can’t wait !!!

Baylee Gutierrez: So excited to use these products when they come out!!my hair is going to be amazing

Mariam Shah: Thank youu SOO much for this!!! I appreciate this knowledge so much!!! Love you guys!!!!

N C: Mindy: we are going to learn how to type your hair Me: *types "your hair"* Seems simple enough

Sarah C: Eeeek! I’m so excited for when your line comes into stores. I want to try it all!!!!!!!

Layla Grace: So excited for these products!!!! I am a 2a/b and my daughter is a 3 a

Samantha Flatt: Omg I love this!! I have 3a hair and can’t WAIT to try out these products!

Julia Shepherd: My hair type has changed over the years. When I was a kid I was a 2c to 2b. When I was a teen I was between 2b and 2a. And now when I´m an adult, I´m a 1. Sometimes a 2a when it´s wet, but once it´s dry, it´s just plain straight. And I don´t use any products or heat in my hair to make it straight. I just let it airdry and then I brush it through.

Katie Petkewich: I'm definitely type 1 with the sliiightest bit of wave that happened after puberty

L&L Fitness journey: Try the Remington electric detangling brush on paisley’s hair! It’s supposed to be really great from what I’ve seen so far!

Mr Holy: My hair type is 3B sometimes A or C as well. Looking forward to trying out Hairitage in the next decade!

Grace Xx: I had 2a hair until I was 12 and then my hair has gradually changed since then and I’m now 15 with 3a-3b curls, it’s mad how much my hair has changed

BonnyGurl316: 2c, 3a, and 3b for me. I'm excited to try these!!!

Nail Polish: Okay I love Mindy and I’ve been watching Cutegirlshairstyles for years now but I cannot believe she just called Brooklyn’s hair almost type 3. Like I have hair that has more curl than Brooklyn’s and actually ringlets but I’m not even sure mine is type 3. I think it’s 2c maybe with a little bit of 3a
