Kamri went to prom this year, despite being a freshman, because she was asked by a family friend who is a junior. Brett has been a family friend for years, and the two of them went to prom as part of Brooklyn and Bailey’s prom group! Kamri’s prom look was so popular that we decided to film this video!
The #CGHBubbleBraids is a look inspired by Kamri’s boho prom hair! This half updo has two bubble braids with silver clips to make a fun formal boho look that works for any type of dance or banquet! This hairstyle would be perfect for a music festival like Coachella, or even for a wedding day look as a bride or a bridesmaid! This hairstyle is perfect for women, teens, girls of all ages, and is perfect for people with medium to long hair. Kamri's bubble braids can be dressed up or down and would look nice at school, work, or in Kamri’s case, prom!
Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, 6 small hair elastics, a couple bobby pins, silver hair cuffs, hairspray or spray wax {if desired}.

I'M Mindy from Cute Girls, Hairstyles. Kam's, helping me out today to show you guys our Boho Bubble, Braids, which is the hairstyle that she wore for prom in her prom, Get Ready With Me video.. Now we had a thousand-gagillion requests on how to do this. Hairstyle., Oh yeah., It's crazy, easy! It'S super simple.! You guys'll love it., But first Kam. Some people are a little confused on why you were going as a freshman., Okay. Well, it's different for like every high school, but at least for our high school. You know typically like the freshmen and sophomores, don't go unless they get asked by an upperclassman which is a junior or a senior.. So I got asked by Brett who, like we've known each other, our entire lives., In fact like his mom and you. [ Mindy ]. Yes, his mother and me have been best friends since, like eighth grade., Eighth grade yeah. - And we just happen to both live in the same area and Brett - didn't have a date and Kam didn't have a date ,'cause. She was obviously too young. So anyway, they ended up deciding to go together., So it was super fun. And you can check out my Get Ready With Me prom video by clicking the i button right, there. Yes. Now, also, if you missed it this week, Brooklyn and Bailey launched some new scrunchies Over on their shop site. There's a million of them.. You have many color options, we love them all., You guys should definitely go check them. Out. They're the little rabbit-eared velvet scrunchies. And you can find all of the information at the end of the video.. So, let's get onto the hairstyle, shall we Kam Yep.? Okay? So let's start this prom hair. Kamri loved this hairstyle on herself and I loved it because I felt like the Boho nature to the hair, totally matched your personality, but it also matched your dress. Yeah.. Yes, so what I've done to start is I curled her hair. I've just used a curling wand and I've just added curls, all the way through. You can see the curls. Her hair is parted just down the middle, which is where she wanted it for this particular Style. Now at the top, I'm just gon na kind of take my fingers and sort of grab two little sections. And what you're looking for is just little sections.. You don't want too much hair.. I have to kind of look at it from the front too. And we're gon na just make a little bubble right here using an elastic.. So my section is a couple inches long sort of a rectangular shape on her head.. I'M gon na pull it back., But gently ,'cause. We don't want the curls to completely lose their shape. When we put the elastic in. Now I'm gon na tighten the elastic down. Then I'm gon na pull the front of her hair forward again like this. So I'm adding fullness and texture to the front.. I have to kind of pop around to the front and look too.. Look at me for a sec, Kam. Yeah, that's good.'Cause! We don't want it to look like all slicked back or it looks a little girlish.. We want it to look older and more mature, so we definitely want that shape and that height. Now I'm gon na just kinda mimic that on the opposite side.. So you can see I'm just sort of roughly doing it with my fingers not really necessary to be an exact part, line. Take it back., ( pop dance, music, ), Tighten the elastic down and then pull and fluff on the front. And again sometimes when you're pulling And fluffing like this one went weird, so I'm gon na redo this one. And that's just the way it goes. Sometimes. ♪. When the lights are out, we could stumble in the dark ♪. These are your two most critical little pieces. So you definitely want these. To look right. ♪ When your ship is sailing, all your dreams are lost. ♪: Okay, when you get em the way you like, em and kind of have em roughly put in place now is the easy part., So you're gon na take the ponytail and you're gon na back-comb through it., And this is really rough.. You can see. I'M just literally kind of making what looks like a mess, but it's gon na be fine., And then you take this and just finger-comb. We don't want any little sharks, just finger-comb those pieces down., But what that did was create a bunch of texture in her hair.. Go down a couple inches from the first elastic and secure it with a second elastic., And then what you do is just pull.. Now we're creating just a bubble here, a like fluffy bubble, shape in that elastic. ♪. You got ta leave now it's time to catch. The wind ♪, When you get that the way you like it do the same thing all the way down. So just go down a little bit secure with another elastic. ♪ And just remember ♪, And I used elastics that would match her hair so that they would Kind of hide., I think that this look is really cute, because it can be dressed up to look formal or it can be dressed down to be just like really fun and soft.. I totally think you could see people wearing this to Coachella. As well as somewhere like prom.. What do you think Kam Yeah? I think you could definitely wear this to Coachella.. It'S definitely like a Coachella look. Yeah. It'S definitely a fun hairstyle and nice to be able to dress it up or dress. Down. It'll be interesting to see like what people think of it. When I wear it just to school and see if they like think it looks dressy or not.'Cause, I'm just gon na be wearing casual clothes.. Well, it does have the curls in it. So it might look a little dressier today. Yeah., But I think you could even do it with like not as fancy a curl and it would look totally fine too.. So you can add another one. Here., I'm gon na opt to just stop after three little bubbles. And we have this side complete. Now we're just gon na repeat on the other side and then we'll come back to that one. ♪. Even if there's nothing there, I don't really care ♪ ♪. Even if ♪, When you get to this point in the hair, I wanted the ponytails to sit kind of back just against her head. I didn't want em flopping forward, so I just took a bobby pin and secured them into place. And that just kind of helped hold em. This., And then I took these cute little silver rings.. You can buy em at any hair supply store.. Typically, you see em in like natural hair like Paisley's type hair, that's really cute and they're on, like their cornrows or that type of stuff.. But since I had some around the house - and we thought her hairstyle was so Boho. Looking popping these little things in worked. Just turned out, I think it just gave it a little voomph to her hairstyle added a little accessory to her prom dress and her prom look.. So we just secured these over the tops of all of the elastics., And these little silver things are just super malleable.. They'Re really easy to just open up and then stick on the top., And you can see that just added like a little more pop to her hair, which made it fun. ♪ And you act as if you don't care ♪ Now I know everybody's prom styles are Different in high school for sure so for Kamri's, their dresses are typically long but they're not always totally completely formal, which I kind of actually really love.. Do you like that Kam Yeah ,'cause? Then you can put like your own style on it. Super formal. It'S kinda hard to like make it original. I feel like. And I think it just lets you guys have a little more personality in your dresses. Okay And when you have those all secure, then you're ready to go.. And then it's just the process of smoothing out the curls a little bit separating em. Adding your finishing hairspray and that type of thing to just finalize and set the hairstyle and you're ready to go. [, Dad ] Wow. What is this Kamri? We were playing: dress, ups. [, Dad ] You're playing dress ups. What'S your name, Mine is named Princess. [. Dad ] Princess: what's yours Ry, I name Sleeping Beauty. [, Dad ], Sleeping Beauty that you are.. What do you have in your hand? Shoes. [, Dad ] Princess shoes, Yes. Put your shoes on.. This is not. [, Dad ] Hi cutie. Hi. Blow us a kiss., ( Kamri, smooches ), Say bye, bye., Bye, bye., Bye, bye.. What Bye, Bye., [, Dad ] Say: bye, bye., Bye, bye., Okay, you guys. Let'S do the final spin.. You can see the lovely Boho bubbles as we turn her round.. I think it's so cute.. I love the accents of the little clips in her hair. Yay. What do you think Kam? I thought it was really good.. It was really good for Prom because, like the way that we bobby-pinned and did it, it wasn't in my hair, like when we danced and stuff. In your face In my face. ( laughs, ) Yeah, it wasn't in my face when we danced so it was like The perfect hairstyle.
