Hey everyone kaley your friendly neighborhood hairstylist here and today we're going to talk about hairstyles that can help your mask wearing experience. Be that much better, so uh we need to wear masks. Obviously it's not really if, but how you're gon na wear mask at this point. So i came up with a couple little hacks that will help just make it easier, maybe get the elastic straps off your ears. Give you a little something extra that you can do with it, and then some hairstyles that also go with the mask, really well get the hair up and out of your face, all that jazz, but also look really cute. At the same time, i think we're at the point that we've all been wearing our hair up and back in the same similar things. So let's talk about how we can make it a little cuter. That being said, i think we should just jump into it. Okay, so for this first one we're gon na keep it really easy and we're gon na use some of these accessories that i feel like we all bought within the last year. Right. Please raise your hand in the comments. If you bought some form of pearl hair clips or these little resin clips sound off below here's, the good thing now they're going to help you in the pandemic that you never thought. That would happen. So, if you're trying to give your ears a break - and you want a cute little hairstyle to go with it - you can always use these clips to hold your mask in place instead of using your ears. So to illustrate i'm going to do it with my hair down and then i'll have anna lara jump in and we can do with the hair up. For me, i'm going to go ahead and put one side on my ear just to have it out of the way, and then i'm going to use these clips to pin back my hair on either side and i'm going to be pulling back the mask. When i do that, so i've already got a center part and i'm going to grab the little section from here that i want in the clip it's going to go behind my ear, then grab the mask. Put it over. Take the clip and clip it on and then from the back here i'm going to take a little bit of this hair out. So i have some more volume and there you go side number one do the same thing over here: all righty, oh she's, kind of cute. So that is the one version. Let'S have anna laura come in and we can talk about some options with your hair up. Yay summer long hair curly option: hey hey. My hair now goes into quite the adorable little nub and tail so technically i could do it yeah you could but we're going to let it laura. Do it well. Thank you, my sacrifice, so deep, so strong, all right. So i'm going to do a low ponytail and we're going to do a little uh, fun, hair hack here that hopefully kaylee is going to watch me and make sure i'm doing it right cause. I'Ve never done this before no i'm just leaving bye. She was like. I have this great idea, so you don't disrupt your curls bye. Well, i believe it starts out with a hair tie and two bobby pins, because that's what kelly handed me, that's so funny hi hi. Do you want to come back and help me before this? All goes to absolute panic, so aydah laura's going to do a low ponytail and we don't want to disrupt her beautiful, beautiful curls. She spent a long time working those into her hair. I did so. We wanted to use a little faux, bungee diy, so basically take any hair tie and two bobby pins and you stick the bobby pin on each side of the hair tie. And now you have a hair bungee, so you're going to stick one bobby pin in just straight into where the ponytail is going to be okay and then you wrap it around. Ah, and then you stick it in on the other side. Whoa, that's amazing and you didn't have to mess up your curls wow, that's magic, so attempting to do this on myself, i want a nice loose situation. Oh my gosh. That'S life changing. Doesn'T it also feel super snatched? It does yeah. It feels really tight. I'M actually going to loosen it just a just a tad there. So now i'm going to do the same thing that kaylee did just with my hair up in a ponytail, so i'm going to executive decision leave my hair over my ears. This is a bold move and i'm going to do one side at a time without the ear hack we're just going to roll with this we're doing it live. I just love this because my ears don't have to be exposed. I also wanted to bring in a hack from our cozy hairstyles video, because it's kind of buried in there, but it's a mask as well, and it's to use just snap clips, just as decoration in your hairstyle and then you can put the ends of your mask Over that, so you don't have to actually secure the mask in place with the clips, and that might be a little bit better if you're, taking your mask on and off like running, errands and stuff like that. So i just want to show that to you as well, so you would take your little clip and if you wanted to pull baby hairs back anything like that, that could be done in this step. Basically, you just go in. You set your clip behind your ears and you can pick one that really matches your hair and is therefore discreet or one that has a little bit more pop to it. I don't know pizzazz razzle dazzle key is when you do this. You only want to pick up hair with about half of the back of this tooth. So through here you pick up hair and then after you've got that you just stick it back out over the hair and that way, once everything's in there's only hair in the back yeah. And then you have a little ledge up here. So, basically we're just going to go like just as it's not a full meal. It'S a snack, a little snack, make sure you can see the end here then secure it. Aha mask on for this hack. We'Ve got a headband. I think this is pretty genius. You get your blair, waldorf style headband that doesn't reach all the way around and you can put it on. However, you want in like the vlogger accessory kind of way or in an actually functional kind of way, i'm going to go with the accessory okay yep. I need hair on my face. We know this, but then the magic take your mask and instead of attaching it behind your ears, you attach it to the end of the headband genius. So you go like this there's the end of the headband. You just put it over the end and set it down just like that, and then you do something on the other side there you go, you got your mask on and then i guess, if you wanted some little like tenderly's to be cute, you could you could Do that a little bit alrighty so that i feel like the most normal, with the mask on that i have in a while, actually because normally everything's so slicked back, and so just and this feels almost normal and then we take it off. You just pull it off the ends and you're done all right. Would you like to demonstrate using this to actually get your hair back yeah, i'm not scared of my hairline. That must be nice. I did find it helpful to actually put on my ear on the one side and then add it to the headband on the right side, and then that way you can have two hands to like slide it over yeah. It'S not really difficult. It'S just easier with two hands yeah and once it gets on it's super comfortable to have on it, doesn't pull out your ears yeah. It doesn't pull your ears or hair yeah. We love it and now for the next hairstyle we're gon na. Do some pigtails slash buns, so i'm going to split the rest of my hair in half and i use a casual pearl clip to keep it out of the way and essentially you can do any kind of pigtail and make this work i'm going to make it A little fancier because we're talking about hairstyles that you can wear with masks, so this is one that's both functional and cute. We love i'm going to start with the dutch braid. That goes from right here to right behind my ear and now it's me so i'm gon na fluff this apart and let some baby hairs go. Oh my gosh, i love her. I shall call her sally and i'm gon na do the same thing. On the other side, take this little snappy clip out and let's braid, i don't know if anybody else is like this. I have to do something with my hands when i'm watching tv or really anything just kind of a nervous mover in general. So i've been braiding. My hair just constantly, i think, i'm getting faster and better because i just have been doing it so much it's a braid mullet and i love it all right. So basically, at this point, the pigtails function as mass cooks - we love mask - goes over around the pigtails you're good to go. I used clear elastics for these. Just because i can i'm thinking. Probably a normal hair tie would be the best to give something to hold on to just because there's not a lot of shelf there but mine's holding on pretty well. I believe it. Of course, you can add in bobby pins or scrunchies or anything else to make sure it stays in place and then, when you get out of the store, take off your mask just like that all right. So now anna, would you like to show another version for long hair? Obviously you can do this with long hair. You could even put these into buns with long hair, and it would be very cute, but in a laura yeah, given that we're trying not to disturb the curls, and we want to give our viewers some options, you want to do some fun buns. Of course, the answer is always going to be yes to that. I will leave you to it all right, so we're going to do some low fun buns, because i haven't done those in a minute see the thing is with curly hair, i'm like really struggling with the whole, not being able to part thing for my fun buns. I'M gon na make sure they don't stick out to the side. That'S a cute moment too, but because i have such long hair. I i tend to see that if i start my pigtail down here right underneath my ear, then the bun tends to grow forward and it's like a bun under my chin. So we're gon na we're gon na start really far back just like a center ponytail, but we're just kind of two of them. So i'm just gon na do the same trick. I did with the low ponytail stick in the bobby: pin, wrap it up and really try not to grab any hair from the other section. Then stick the bottom pin in the other side. So i'm just going to keep this like really easy, really simple! We'Re just going to do two loosely twisted fun buns, so i'm going to twist this away from my face and then never worry about the shape of it before you're done pinning got to get all the pins in and then you can make it whatever shape. You want, oh, this is so fun haley's just standing over here. Handing me pins onto the other side twisting away from my face, and then this one got ta fake it till we make it a little bit because it says less hair on this side. So we want this one to be extra poofy, these little sagsters over here, just gon na pull some tension on them and redirect so now we just and we pull to the side. So the mako look more like two fun buns, instead of one bun. Now the thing that i'm curious about is, if my buns are too big to fit in these holes with my face, it barely fits around it without my face in it. So we're gon na see it's definitely gon na pull it around to the front more okay. We made it to the halfway point. Oh, this mask might be a little small for this now i've taken all of my makeup off this hack is really good for people whose faces are kind of on the smaller side and masks just seem to be like really big for you when you put them Just over your ears, i don't personally have that problem. I think my face is pretty large. So when i, when i wear masks over my ears, i don't have that issue, so this um makes it a little too tight for comfort, but now you know actually i do need to point out that these masks are a little on the small side. They are so like the disposable ones or for me, anytime. I'Ve bought a fabric, one they've been like just a feedback really it doesn't actually fit my face. So sorry that this mask was a little small for this hairstyle, but i do think the majority of the time it can work. Yeah, that's gon na be a little like claustrophobia there for a second triggering the drama and, of course, we're gon na finish, with something braided so for the short hair version. I'M actually gon na do like a really quick, easy little braided option that gets your hair out of your face. You can pair this with a ponytail if you work in service industry, and you need to make sure that you have your hair totally back and accounted for or you could do it with some of the hair down like i'm gon na, do right now so you're Gon na start by taking a large section of hair on one side of your part and just like hold that straight down and back tuck the rest of your hair behind your ear, see if that looks good to you, it looks good to me and once you're Happy with your section, you're gon na split it into three and you're gon na braid it down and the direction you want it to sit. Let me give you a brief example of what happens if you don't do that. So if you were to like pull it forward and braid it and then try to take it over this happens, this is not what we're trying to accomplish today. It'S very editorial ready for the runways, not the grocery store. Instead, you want to hold the hair in the direction you want it to go and then braid and i'm also starting the braid just a little farther away from the part, because if i was to do it up here, it would be like this really tight little Clump and then string of braid - it's not really what i'm going for. I want things to flow nicely and there's little things like that. Like once you know you can do such a good job, but you need to know then you're gon na hold your place check. Your hair behind your ear and pick a point on the braid, that's hidden behind your ear. For me, it's gon na be right there and secure it with an elastic right there. That way, we can hide the elastic behind our ear, i'm going to give it a little fluff, i'm going to take the braid and the hair directly under it. I'M going to pull it behind my ear, pull the braid to the front a little bit, i'm going to snap clip it in place all right, then you repeat the same thing on the other side now i would probably use some texturizing spray in this. If i was really going for it, but i'm just going to do a tiny bit of back combing get some extra volume back here, just a little i'm feeling cute now. This is actually the only hairstyle where i'm going to talk about bobby, pinning the mask in, because both the short and the long hair version have your hair secured in place and give the bobby pin something to really stick into. So they can really hold the mask. Well, so just for some security, i'm going to put it around the ear on this side and i'm going to pull this one around. I'M going to pull it behind my ear and next to where i pinned everything in and i'm just going to, pin up and into the stuff. That'S already there, including for this time, pinning into the snap clip. It will actually work very well and hold really really strong all right and that one you can't even really tell that. It'S not on the back of my ear, but it's not she's safe. All of the net of bobby pins and snap clips and hair is keeping things together. Of course, if your mask doesn't hurt the back of your ears or anything like that, you could just wear it, as is it's very cute. It'S a good way to get your hair out of your face hold on. I have found that keeping my hair out of my face keeps me from touching my face as much in public, which is key. I'M a big face, toucher. So that's one of the things i like to do. If i know i'm going to be out and about a lot or in the grocery store things aren't going to be touching. A lot of stuff is like get my hair out of my face, so i'm not tempted to touch it all right so cute, but it is really secure and i don't feel like it's pulling on my hair a lot. So that's super nice super quick, easy cute. We love all righty for you. We have something super fun. I wanted to do kind of like a milkmaid style braid or like a crown braid, so i brought a scarf in because i thought it would be fun to like mix into it. Yeah, you don't have to. I got this one at a vintage store so long ago, so this is just gon na go around the back of your head. Put your hair in half and you're gon na do a braid where this is one of the three sections. Okay, all the way down secure with an elastic on each side. I'Ve always wanted to know how you do this like i've seen the pictures of it, but i've never actually done it. Well, hey! That'S! How we're gon na do it and we're gon na do kind of a more like old-school, milkmaid style, okay um, so the braids on these sides are going directly up on top okay and to keep it from looking too stylized and, like you know, i'm i'm heading Out for a photo shoot - and this is my cosplay - we're gon na keep the braids really focused like starting at the very back, keep them as much at the nape of your neck as possible. Okay, we'll do, and if you need to like clip this here, that might help right totally up to you. Okay, i'm so excited about this. I'M gon na go ahead and take this up nice and high and attach it to this side. All right, then, i'm gon na be taking this as my one piece and then split this into two. I'M gon na try to separate these as much as they want to be as little pulling as possible. Now gon na repeat the same thing. On the other side, they split so beautifully. I didn't even have to pull any hairs apart, all right, so my trick that i'm trying here is putting this braid in the back and then starting with all of my hair back behind, so that they're super close together and i don't have a really exposed part Line in the center, the braids don't start too far apart all right. So i'm running into issue with my hair sections. This little bit is from my face framing part, and then this big healthy section is from the nape of my deck. So i'm gon na just sneakily split this piece in half and uh sneak some hair over into the face framing section. No one will ever know. Okay, that was not hard at all. So what do i do? Next? I look like. I have a bowl, i'm letting my front pieces cool hold, please all right! So yeah these go over the top. Just like you did. I always recommend pinning this stuff right here. First, like get the structure there, and then you can worry about the little doggy ears later. These will tuck under here. So you only want to pin up top, not the not the back yet, and then you can start pinning on the sides to get the structure there. Okay, yeah and if you have any funny saggy areas like it's very likely that all of you guys will have stuff in these little corners right here, you can always go through with pens and make it look the way you want to i'm going to give you Frenchies for this because they're the best pens you can have linked below wow, honestly, not even over hyping them, should i stack them on top or like lay them next to each other. Actually you know, if you have, you do have enough hair. You could do a half knot if you wanted to before you pull it down. Oh, i love that idea. All right we're doing it. We'Re just gon na pretend, like my hair, is a scarf. What the heck, that's so cool, now we're going to pin that the laying next to each other that i was talking about earlier is really nice. If your hair isn't quite long enough for the half knot right, banana laura's hair is is long enough, so hannah laura's hair needs a haircut. Yes, i got so called out in the finding my waves, video yeah. Oh my gosh everyone's like her ends are dead. I know guys and yeah, then you just tuck in the scarf. However, it makes sense and you can pin the hair and place over top of it. You can't quite see this with the scarf six posts in the front, so i'm just gon na save you a little bit of time there just don't mind me welcome. I kept her here late today, guys we're just gon na we're gon na. Do all the helpful stuff, the saggy part, can come from this hair? Basically, that's been directed, so you can see. Anna did a really good job of keeping it tight, but it is still lifted and if it wasn't as tight, it would be kind of down here and so what you do to help subdue. The look of that is just to kind of push it back down against the head. Take your pin on the outside of that loop push it back up and in, and you might need more than one she's also just dense right. There she's got a lot of hair, it's a lot hair. Rather, i actually don't need a frenchie for right there, because she's secure already, but i do want just to take down some more of this volume. So i'm just gon na use a bobby, pin and go down and into it there you go. Oh, i don't know if you want a tendril or not, but she was already coming soon. This is another common thing you guys might have. Is this like swoop in the front, and if you don't want it, what anna just did was perfect? You just pick it up to where you like it and you pin it in place. It'S a little like peep of the ear there you go so this is definitely one of those like distract from the mask situations or i guess, nobody's gon na notice that they can't see your face because they're gon na be looking at your braids. That'S true! So if you do have like a socially distanced mask wearing limited attendance wedding to go to so this was just one that looks cute with a mask, but you could do the bobby pin trick if you wanted to take the mask off your ears. The cute little moment for curly girls too, like if your curls are there, but maybe like they're, not as happy or whatever i think like it looks cute. Your hair was already cute today, yeah, but it looks cute with the texture is what i'm saying yeah. So if your curls aren't a hundred percent, maybe it's day two or day three or just after a rainy dog walk which keeps happening to me summer, storms yeah - that should be yeah, because apparently north carolina is florida. Now i don't yeah anyway, it's a great hairstyle. Thanks girl, cute alrighty, well, that is today's video on all the different mask hairstyle ideas i had you know between giving your ears a break and just ways to look cute while wearing a mask. I hope that you guys enjoyed it. Let me know if you have any more favorite, hairstyles or hacks down below, would love to hear that i did have one day where i wore a mask all day and the back of my ears was so irritated. I kind of didn't understand the full plight of wearing a mask all day until i did it, so i am really glad to have these hacks out there for myself and for other people. I do hope they help, but that is it for today's video, if you enjoyed it, don't forget to hit that like button to help support the channel and, if you're new, here, click that subscribe button to join the braidaholic family here on kaylee, melissa and all y'all. Can hit that bell icon to be notified every time i post a new video, but that's it for today, whether you're, old or new or a casual lurker. Thank you for spending time with us and we'll see in the next video bye all right. Let'S try that elbow hat because everybody told us, oh okay. This is why thank you for commenting. Thank you. We need to. We need you, let's just hold on proof of concept, one more time: yeah, okay, it works. I might have been panicking, tested and approved.

Taylor R.S: Can you please do some Disney inspired hairstyles so we can all feel a little more magical? I love these styles!

e batdorf: Kaley Melissa is becoming the only influencer that understands curls with cute hairstyles! Most curlies just wear their hair down. I'm liking the ponytail bungee cord! Keep it up the good curly work!

Akanksha Maddi: Please remind Anna Laura to NEVER go back to straight hair bc her curly hair is GORGEOUS

Shelby Marie: I’m an EMT and we have to wear masks at all times the moment we leave the station whether we’re with a patient or not, and my ears are rubbed raw! Thank you ladies for this tutorial! Hopefully this will save my ears and make me feel cute in the process!

Melissa Ngai: I haven't thought about hairstyles lately and this is so refreshing! Definitely gonna try these out.

Nicole Crenshaw: As someone who has to wear masks pre-COVID, I am really appreciating all the time people are putting into making it fashionable and cute with these cool tips and tricks.

Kevin Turner: These are the styles we need for this season's must-have accessory! Any tips for the style of mask where the fasteners loop all the way around behind the head, instead of hooking the ears? Particularly the ties that secure the top half of the mask have me contemplating where to position them, and which sections of hair go under or over them.

Rebecca Gruntz: I totally need an update on Anna’s curly hair process! I started it, but I’m really struggling on those days between washes! I have no idea what I’m doing! Haalllpp!!

Chris H: Omg yes, whenever someone asks how I got do good at braided hairstyles my response is always “I braid when I’m bored ‍♀️” (or when I’m anxious tbh). I have never related to a character more than when Amy on B99 had a bunch of tiny braids in her hair because she was stressed.

iman: thank you kayley for this video. i have hip length curly hair and is gets hard to deal with (even with a mask duh)but these hairstyles really help. ps: since anna laura is on her curly hair journey can we please get some curly hair styles. ily and anna so much.

samantha Jaeger: Thank you for explaining the milkmaid braids. They are way easier than I was trying to do lol. Thank you for mentioning that that was an option for a wedding guest style, I now so hope that my hair is long enough for a social distanced wedding coming up. You guys are awesome!

Amber Romisch: Yes to all of these! You should do a video for hairstyles with the tie-back masks instead of the ear loop ones too!

Casey Istre: I am LOVING THESE for my three daughters who are going back to school Monday and are required to wear masks. Thank you so much!

Jessica Mcguiggan: Update on anna Laura curly hair journey! I’m starting mine! Just did clarifying plus a deep conditioner! So we’ll see how this goes for me!!

Allie Mesarch: I’m a nurse so I wear a mask very frequently and my hack is that I just loosely hook the elastic on to the backs of my earrings to keep my ears from getting irritated. Just be careful when taking off your mask of course! I have four studs in each ear lobe so this works really well for me!

Sea Life nails: I love these! I have done milk maid braids in the past and I thought I had made it up myself lol but I had that problem in the back and I also didn't know what to do with the ends. My hair is fine so its hard to hide anything in my hair lol. Ill have to try it again. I love these hacks and I need to get some of those clips now!

Miss. MarySunshine: Kayley always working her magic! And obviously Anna Laura slays these too! Couldn't ask for a better combo

Jethro: Love the milk maid braids! If you don't want the part in the back, though, you can over direct each section of hair to the opposite side before doing the braid. It should also help reduce the puffy, loose parts at the nape of your neck. Here's the video where I got this little tip from: https://youtu.be/2noKFlS7MiU

Caitlin Smith: I really enjoyed this - it's so important to have little moments of joy and being happy (even if it's just because you did killer braids) in the midst of a really tough time, while of course keeping yourself and others safe!

Jessie Trebesch: Kayley, I just wanted to let you know that I basically spent my whole day today diving down a rabbit hole of watching your videos, and I pretty much want to be you when I grow up. :) I just got my hair cut (8 inches shorter) yesterday, so I've been LOVING all the inspiration!

Keri McCall: Kayleyyy! I been seeing these micro braids with the middle part all over pinterest and now I get how to execute it. Thank you!

Johanna Eckert: I love this video! Will definitely be using some of these styles when I go back to college and need to wear a mask more.

Stephanie Jeffrey: Both of y’all are so beautiful inside and out. Such genuine souls. Loving all the new content!

miraalcel: Kayley, I've been watching your videos for years now and I have to say that I love your creativity and ideas. Plus you seem such a fun nice person! Keep the good job!

Tabi Mimja: I love that Kayley always thinks about hairstyles for real life such as her hairstyles for nurses video and this one. Major props for realizing not everyone sits at a desk with perfect hair all day lol. Thanks Kayley I would love to see more hairstyles like this, especially one's for essential workers like me who have to keep their hair up all day. Most people think of nurses but don't forget us in Physical Therapy!!

Melissa Andrews: As someone with wavy/curly hair, I got excited with I saw your hairband/bungee trick. That's new to me and I'm going to have to try it! Great ideas!

victimofstereotypes2: Great ideas! Betcha never thought you would be doing one of these videos! I used this little side combs to hold my mask. I use one of the teeth to catch the ear loop then stick the comb into my hair like you normally would.

Sadie McC: You are not alone with the TV braiding! I do that all the time! Also, I really appreciate the extra tips on how to not crush your curls--I constantly struggle with it and that hair bungee trick will be a life saver!

Akira-Miyashi: Since your tip of using clips to hold the mask in the last video, I've been using it and loving it. It really helps with my ears as I have to wear it the whole day. :D The clips also helps with the fit of the mask so much better~

Jenn Tyler: Going back to teaching full time in the classroom, so these are great! Thanks! Can’t wait to try these out.

Chris McLeod: At work I have to wear an earpiece, and I also wear glasses. The mask has just been one too many things for my ears to support. Will definitely be trying these out!

laurel4222: thank you for this video! very creative and useful! I'm a college instructor and these are great ideas for when I need to be wearing a mask for most of the day on campus in a week.

Marla Wood: Those clips just came in the mail a week ago!!! Can't wait to try these styles! Just chopped my hair and went from sis's length(I didn't want to butcher the spelling) to kayley length! Love it! It is too hot in Indiana for all that hair.

Amanda M: Can we get more videos like this where you do hairstyles that don’t disrupt curls!! It would be extremely helpful!

FromAllAround: Yay for Blair Waldorf headbands come back! thank you for the styles and tips

OLea Braids: Thank you so much! Your videos are always amazing! You inspired me to start making videos.

Zoe Forde: I’m so excited to do these for back to school, thank you!!!!

Emily Menard: This video is so amazing!!I feel like every time I go out I just pop my hair in a really bad ponytail just to get it out of the way and I wanna feel cute again haha

Emma Lane: I love this video bc my default is Dutch’ braids so I don’t touch my face when I have to go out :)

HilBG: I'm a teacher about to go back to school all masked up so I'm psyched for this video! It'll be a game changer to not be killing the backs of my ears haha.

droomprinsesje1234: Great you are using your platform to promote mask wearing while giving tips on how to make it more comfortable!

Danelle Dible: My favorite part of the whole video is the elbow high five at the end! y’all are awesome!!

Looloos Hair: Such a good idea! Love the clips

LemonadeLaura: Something about Anna Laura's natural texture REALLY suits her face. So pretty!

Bella_Grace: A braid mullet The headband one and the pigtail fun bun ones were my favorite!

Susan Berlien: Love this! Thanks. I’m a nurse and I wear a mask all day and I’m over it with the button headbands and scrub cap but my ears hurt if I have the mask on my ears all day.

Bailey Alexandria: I think these are great for if your mask doesn't stay on your ears.

AQUIS Inc.: The headband trick is so good, will definitely be trying that one!

Elizabeth Hartley: I took inspo from the side twist into 3 strand braid pig tails from the tiktok hacks video for work today. It worked a treat to keep my hair off my face and neck in the heat all day! I did one braid instead of two (just kept twisting each side to the back of my neck after incorporating all of the hair, then combined them and started to braid), and pinned the braid up in a chignon. For the first time in a loooong time I felt totally cute at work, and got a lot of compliments. I didn't tell anyone that it took me 3 minutes to do. I have really slippery, fine, thin hair that is desperate for a cut, and this held up all day in heat with just a single elastic, four pins and a bit of elnett. I have to take my mask on and off a lot through the day, but for anyone who has to wear one continuously, it would be totally possible to hook the mask loops over the twists before braiding, or do two separate braids and secure them together after your mask is on.

Vicki: hey kayley thank you for this wonderful video as a health care professional i have pretty much been in masks from the start and it is refeshing to see some lovely hair ideas to help with that, and for anti mask people... i work with some extremely vunerable people and have to wear a manditory mask for 12 hours shifts... the masks stop you from spreading your saliva, germs and anything else that may not effect us... but will make other extremely vunerable to this awful virus

Ravensparrow: Only Kayley would come up with something as clever as pinning your mask with clips

Magdalena Sofía Salgado: This is just what I needed. Thank you Kayley!!!

Cheshire Cat: These hairstyles are perfect since they keep my hair out of my face = I don't touch my face while playing with the front strands

Maci Talley: Omg I needed this! I’m a healthcare worker and I’m so tired of wearing my hair up every day!! I’ve been wanting to chop my hair but have been worried about dealing with masks all day

Joanne Livingston: This is the video I’ve been looking for and hoping for! Thank you ❤️

Annie Bennett: I literally just got clips for my birthday! also can you show more of anna laura’s curly hair journey? also manes by mell has amazing advice for curly hair but also India Batson!!! India has a hair type that is a little bit more similar to anna laura’s hair.

Elizabeth Yates: Love love LOVE! My favorite was the milk braids! And yes!!! ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️

Eye On Fashion: You guys look awesome here in the various hairstyles w/masks- creative, unique styles indeed.

Genevieve Reed: Thank you both for this video and all your hard work for us. You both look darling, as usual.

Indy Douma: Yesss I've been generally just wearing low double buns or a low chignon that I can put the elastics around, so I loooooveeeee a little change ❤️❤️❤️

Kiceno91: i do something similar as the Trick with the headband with my glasses i just take the band of the mask and put it around the end of the glasses ( works with everyday glasses as well as with sunglasses)

Anna Kiryanova: Little editorial moment really made me want to see Kelly do weird editorial hairstyles

Rebecca Stone: I just discovered y’all, and I’m obsessed! Y’all are the sweetest!

Rebecca Low: Could you please do a video that shows different ways to keep you hair out of your face without using a pony tail? I get mega migraines if I wear my hair in pony's to often but for my job (I am support staff in a school working with kids with autism) I like to keep the hair out my face. Thanks xx

Kariana Leija: This is just what i asked for!!! Thank you!!!!❤❤❤

free ._. bee: Hahahaha I have seen so many people putting their hair up with an extra mask lately. This french women I met did this really chic chignon and she put her mask around it and then wrapped the elastics around to secure it. It actually looked soooooo good!

Natty M: Thank you sooo much I have really small ears, like their maybe 2 inches from top to bottom, so masks, especially cloth ones, don't like to stay on, I have taken many things away from this video definitely gonna try out all of these styles.

Danika Scevers: I would love some tips for wearing a mask that's tie-back, I haven't been able to figure out a cute way to style/hide the strings

Olivia Leigh: This was perfect timing! I’m nervously staying awake before an orientation for a new job tomorrow so this gave me some serious inspo

Megan Borrows: I use an invisi bobble for my 2B/2C waves/curls instead of a regular hair tie. A little tip for AnnaLaura :)

BlackGrapes: I think the masks should be worn properly regardless of hairdo though, unless the mask already doesn't fit well (in which case you should get one that fits). It's because the masks were tested based on properly wearing them. There was even a study recently that tested different styles of masks that showed a significant variance in their ability to protect the wearer, which just goes to show that the structure of the mask (and hence how you wear it) does make a difference.

sdancer22: Love the last hairstyle on Anna Laura definitely gonna try on my 3rd day curly hair

Michelle Landry: Can you do a video on the braided hairstyles from Cursed on Netflix? Everyone‘s braids are giving me strong Kayley Melissa vibes!!

Kate and Kathryn: I also braid my hair while watching tv. If you’re struggling with braiding it’s the best way to get better, just practice while chilling watching tv.

Shruti Gupta: Honestly, Anna Laura is like looking 10 years younger with curly hair❤❤❤ No offense

Kristie Lent: these are awesome! I have been looking for new ways to braid my hair since I have to wear my mask 2days a week for PT.

Marina Payen: Maybe could you do a 'how to balayage at home' video? Some ideas of how it could be done without making too much of a mess?!

Gail B: That bungee hair tie!!! Would definitely help my curls

Melissa Lorenz: Anna Laura with the curly hair and headband is giving me Saved by the Bell Jessie Spano vibes, and I am here for it, Gorgeous ❤️ Love you both❤️❤️❤️❤️

Rose Tang: Been curious on how the hairstyles in Avatar the Last Airbender translate into real hair. Can you do a take on the series please?

Taylor Lynn: I REALLY needed this for work thank you!!!

Abigayle Spinner: Can you do more bang hairstyles!! Even tho almost any hairstyle works with bangs I still love to see them done and get ideas for what I can do! Love you so much I’m obsessed with watching your vids!❤️

Donna Lewis: Hiya I really enjoyed watching this video!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️ So many tips n tricks♥️ Love your channel and content ♥️♥️

EL: Great! I badly need this for school next week!

Nika Mrak: Love these ideas

Lynn Schonberg: Hi! Can you do a video on thinning hairlines and crowns from alopecia and how to combat/style? :)

knee.coal.eye: I don't know why I never thought of Bobby pins/snap clips!! I work in an essential business so I have to keep my mask on all day erry day and my ears HURT after. Whoever called masks "face bras" that you can't wait to rip off at the end of the day was so on point.

jsnpolar: i have hair just like anna laura’s and her wearing the headband was just too cute and now I can’t stop wearing headbands, thank you both!! LOL

abby yates: Your makeup is *STUNNING* !! Can we have some more makeup tutorials?

Katy Proia: I'm going to hair school in September I stg you always know what I'm going through and rescue me with your hairstyles

Jenna Anderson: This is the most needed video for gals with hairstyling obsessions rn (ahem that’d be me) thank you for this

Kiley Dix: OK, so if you need an ear saver a full-size Pro Hair Tie totally works! put it around both ear loops and close the hair tie and boom! Ear saver! It also helps if your mask doesn't fit quite right.

Thea: "oh my god I love her I shall call her sally" love all of these

atrani4: On the milkmaid braids, I saw a girl actually cross the hair and braid over the shoulders on the opposite sides to avoid any part line in the back of the head and it helps avoid sagging. It’s super cute. Ana Laura totally had enough hair to do that

Tibi Taylor: Yes! I've been wearing a headband or clips. Keeps me from touching my face & hair away from the mask.

Donna Layne: Love love love this video and I also want to add the two of you are gorgeous and I absolutely love your channel especially with Anna Laura now the two of you are the perfect duo

VintageDisneyBound: Hi Kaylee, first off wanted to say that I love this video and I have rewatching some of your videos for inspiration. I was wondering if you could show how to do a DNA braid on short hair. I just watched a video from Another Braid from her 3 Epci Braids video and she showed how to do a DNA braid. I was wondering if you could find a way to do that briad shorter hair or how to corporate it on shorter hair. Thanks so much!!! love you

NikkiGee: Defs going to try these where I am we’ve gone back into lockdown stage 4 after easing restrictions and masks now compulsory so I need a little something to brighten my day

Nas Yaqub: Omg thank you, my hair never looks good with a mask. So thank you

actressnut lulu: Could you do some Work/School from home heatless hairstyles? I’m teaching virtually from home and am running out of ideas lol (Edit: I fixed my typos in could and heatless, I guess no one has ever had a typo before... love that I got my first hate comment though! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
