Will The Miracurl Eat Or Curl Your Hair? | Fab Or Fail | Cute Girls Hairstyles & Kamri

You see so many curling products out there, right? Which ones work the best, which ones should we avoid? Today, Kamri and I test out the Babyliss Miracurl. Will it EAT or Curl Kamri's hair??? Click to see!

I'm always skeptical when I see miracle curling products online and "as seen on TV". There just doesn't seem to be anything on the market that is practical or cost effective as compared to simple no-heat curls or your standard curling wand.

I've seen the Miracurl, and many similar products before, but have always hesitated in trying one because it looks "dangerous"! (Anything that sucks your hair into it, reminds me of the one time as a kid that I got my hair stuck in my bicycle chain when I was trying to fix my bike!)

I'd have to say that I was SHOCKED at the results of this product! Be sure to watch and see why, as well as how we ranked its results, price, and other utility factors!

( pop music ), Hey guys, I'm Mindy from Cute Girls Hairstyles and welcome back to another fab or fail.. In today's video we are going to test out a curling machine. It'S called the MiraCurl It's by BaByliss or BabyLiss. Whichever way you wanna say it, I've heard both. We're going to see if it eats your hair or curls your hair, because it does definitely go (, vacuuming noise ). So it could be a really bad thing or a good thing.. If you guys, haven't already subscribed to our channel be sure to do that by clicking the red subscribe button below and let's get to it, So we are going to attempt to try this.. It comes in a box that looks like this at the store. On Amazon. It'S about $ 140, so it's an expensive tool. If you don't like it., I'm kind of scared. I've seen those horror videos, you know where they get stuck. Ew. ( horror, music plays ). The good news is it. Could you know, give you a really pretty curl or it could just tangle the hair all over inside of it. Oo? I don't want my hair to fall off And then ehh.. This might be my second scariest. First, the split-ender.. This is literally what came in the box and then a little cleaning tool and a razor little water compartment in case this one breaks.. You take this little piece off right, here., Snap, it off and you put distilled water into it.. So we've already done that and then you snap it back on., That's what creates the steam.. It has a little winding tool in there that curls the hair up, and then you have three little knobs right. Here.. You have your power button. That tells you it's on and the different temperatures., The lowest one is 375, the next one's 410 and the next one's 450.. So it definitely gets very hot. At 450.. That'S pretty dang hot.. You have to have really course thick hair to require 450.. So I do not recommend using that setting, unless you have very thick very course hair.. If you have fine, hair or medium hair more like Cam, I think we're gon na stick around the 410.. The next little setting on here allows you to set at zero seconds. No beeps or it will beep at eight seconds, 10 seconds or 12 seconds, and it will tell you basically you've had your hair in here for 12 seconds. You should release your hair now.. I'M gon na put it on eight and just see what the curl does there first.. Then you have the option with the third button to do right. Curls left, curls or alternating curls, which I love by the way, and I'm just gon na, say the fact that they put the ability on here that it will roll it to the right. And then it will roll it to the left. And you don't have to do it yourself Thumbs up. The idea is that you just put it in the hair, push it down and it curls it., So we're gon na start by just sectioning her hair and getting most of it out of the way for now.. So I'm only dealing with the bottom layer and then I'm gon na kinda just divide it in half.. I noticed because I'm right handed this little winding tool is supposed to be against the head at all times.. The problem is, is that if you are doing it on somebody else, it's kind of holding it funny. Like it would be more natural to hold it like this than like this. But it's designed Camari, you hold it., See watch what happens if you're holding it on yourself and pretend like you're doing a curl. See. Then it's held correctly.. So it's designed for you to be doing it on yourself and then it lands correctly.. It says pick up about an inch piece and because we're on the right side of the head, I'm gon na make sure we're on the right yup and we have it set for eight seconds.. It says to take about an inch piece.. It says it will beep. If you have too much hair in it, it won't allow it to curl up into it.. It said put it where you want it. Whoops see. I have to do this almost backwards for me.. You have to put it in here and then you're just supposed to clamp it down and it sucks the hair in.. It'S weird. (, laughs, ), And then you heard one beep, two beep three beep then release and let it go. You've got your first curl. Voila, (, laughs, ). It'S definitely very curly. Now, if you wanted a little bit looser curls. This is what I would typically do it. I were using a flat iron or a wand.. I let it curl we'll let this curl for a sec. And then release., And then I just give it a tug straight down immediately and that just softens up your curl.. So if you want more of the beach-y bed-head type, looks don't be afraid to just give it a tug when it's still warm., Okay, I'm gon na notch it up just for kicks and giggles and try 12 seconds.. So again I didn't change the temperature, so it shouldn't fry her hair.. It'S just gon na hold it a little bit. Longer. (, beeps, ) Yeah, and it just gives it just a slightly tighter curl.. It'S really not super, it's not a ton tighter to be honest.. So I'm gon na reverse this now to left and I'm gon na do this side of her hair. This time, I'm trying a little bit bigger piece., I'm experimenting just to see. Will this tell me I have too much hair on this. One ( beeps ) Still took it that wasn't too much hair on that one.. Let'S see how this one turns out if it's a softer curl, because it was more hair.. Oh, that still did pretty good. Moving onto the next layer. ( whirring noise. ). Okay, see that one You heard it didn't beep, because I used too much hair., So it kind of twisted it funny and it could sense that it was twisted funky and so it stopped, which is good too.. It'S supposed to be using steaming. So it's not as bad for your hair either in theory., Okay, Camari, you ready to try it on yourself. I don't know. [ Mindy, ] Okay.. I need a piece. Is this a good amount? Yeah! That'S fine! Just remember this has to go towards your head.. Okay! Wait so I hold it like this Yup. Oh, this is scary. Right. There, [ Mindy, ] Yeah., Just close it [ Mindy ], Yeah., ( machine whirls, ), (, beeps ), It's weird., [, Mindy, ]; Second beep. Let it go. What That was kinda scary. When it sucked it up, it was kind of scary.. Did you think it was hard? No, it was easy. It was just weird., It's weird not having to actually curl it. Huh. [ Mindy ]. I wish the chord was a little more industrial.. I love the professional chords and a little longer, but it seems to be doing it's job., Okay, we're down to our last couple of curls.. Now we have I'll give you a spin, a whole head full of curls.. The question it: what will they look like once we soften them.? So let's do it Cam? Are you ready to flip your head and shake it a little bit? Yup. Okay. We're just flipping her head upside down and kind of running my fingers just through the top of her head down by her scalp.. This is just loosening the curls a little bit and getting them separated, and you can see I'm not using a brush, I'm not using a comb, I'm literally just kind of finger pulling at the curls just to loosen them up a little bit if they're still like This, where they're just sort of too stuck together, still. We're just doing the finishing touches on adding a little bit of hairspray to separate the ends a little and we are done. There. You have it guys.. What do you think Cam I like them.? It was faster than normal. I think., You think it was A little bit yeah.. Okay, guys, let's do the final spin here with Camari.. You can see the curls in her hair all the way around. I love it. I am really impressed. I didn't think I think it did a good job.. I did not think I was going to like it. I thought it might eat her hair. Me too. She made me, try it on my hair first so that if it ate anybody's it was mine, but I actually am pleasantly surprised with this tool. I think. It turned out pretty good. Yeah, Especially for new younger. You know, 12 13-year-olds that still haven't quite mastered. A wand or a flat iron curl. I think this one's a really Still gets warm, so I don't know if you'd want to hand it off to like a eight-year-old but definitely gives them the ability to curl their own hair super easily and efficiently. I thought., I think this curl is gon na hold. Well, I think it will wear pretty all day long., I'm really impressed. I also really like that. It'S a steam heat., So it doesn't do as much damage to your hair as just a regular heat, which is really nice. Price point is a little higher than most people like to spend on hot tools. For a nice hot tool, it's $ 140. So you know. That'S expensive to a lot of people., But I know Conair has another version that I think is more like $ 85. Haven't used. It cannot attest to whether it works or not., But I know there are other options on the market.. This one worked great. So there you go. Okay, lets fab or fail it Cam. What would you do? Fab. Fab two thumbs up, Yeah. Anything you didn't like Not really.. I mean, I think it did a good job, just overall.. It was really nice, especially if you're like she said younger and trying to figure out how long long to hold it. It'S a great training, too. Yeah, I totally agree.. I would definitely give it two thumbs up and I'm usually more ornery with my hair tools but two thumbs up from me. If I were being super picky - and this is like really picky - I would say I would love to see them - replace the chord with a more industrial professional chord, that's longer, Yeah, longer maybe. And the weight is maybe because it is a little heavy. By the end, my arm was a little tired, but I mean you're just building up arm muscle, so you don't have to go to the gym for the day.. You just curl your hair, then you're done., If you guys, haven't already subscribed to our channel, be sure to do that by clicking the flower right down here and to see our other Fab or Fails Cam can. Will you tell them where to go Over here. Check it out and we'll see you guys next time. Bye, guys Bye, ( pop music fades out )

Pinkish Weird Cloud: I wonder how they have kept their hair so healthy after using so many hair products on their hair.

Style Yourself Beautiful: She has such beautiful hair!! Already looking forward to your next tutorial xx

Ella Rose: this turned out super pretty! love it!

Workout Music: cute curl!

CassieSidney: Love the fab or fails! I'm always afraid to use products like this on my hair, so it's nice to see a honest review, love y'all!

Lucy: I’ve always been scared to use this product, and after I finish the video I’ll finally know if it’s safe or not!!

mooliberry: Also, the timer will beep the 3-5 times and it will do 3 really quick beeps to let you know to let go! You can wait a little longer :)

EKL: Have had one of these for years, and adore using it! I love the different settings for which way and how long to create a more natural look or a fancier one... (I get so many compliments with the alternate curls on highest settings).

Melanie 131: I was going to buy this until I realized it was $179!! Would absolutely love this. Kamri's hair is just so long and gorgeous!!

Ember Baires: Can you guys do a cute 5 minutes Hair sporty hairstyle Idea

Mr Holy: If there's beard products Shaun would film himself fab or failing that would be great. Love the family inclusions in your channel. From The Woodlands, TX Stake! #LDSfan

Olivia McLaughlin: I was so impressed with the results! At hair shows, we always saw the Shirley Temple super tight spirals. I like how this one came out almost natural looking. Also, very glad this didn’t eat her hair. Again, at a hair show, we watched it get so stuck that they had to cut the girls hair to get the machine out... it was scary. So glad this worked out for Kamri!

Huda Shahid: Firstly, you both look absolutely stunning. Besides the weekly vlog's the fab/fail is my favorite series! Love seeing you videos!! :D

breemarie123: I own an older version of this product and I love it! It works great and curls my hair really fast! It’s especially good for thin hair.

rogerio braga: I love fab or fails ❤️

Katy Roudabush: I have the magic curl and I LOVE it! I usually do small tight curls and comb it out into nice big wavy curls. The only complaint I have is my arm gets very tired from holding it. Other than that I love it!

Anette M: You should do a tutorial on the curls you’re wearing, mindy. They look great!!

Julianna Reiter: Love your videos. I’ve had the same curling iron for a year and it works great. I noticed though that you aren’t holding the hair in long enough. The curling iron is supposed to beep slowly a couple of times and then when it beeps really fast that’s when you’re supposed to release the hair from the curling iron. Just thought I’d let you know.

Applejuice: The final look is amazing! You could try it with a pretty thin headband or sticker headband for a delicate look, maybe...

Lily Walsh: Love these curls you guys are my absolute fav channel❤️

Kathryn Chipman: I’ve been using a similar tool by Conair for a little over two years and my little sister and I absolutely love it!! It’s so easy and it makes curling my thick hair take a lot less time!!

Jen Flinn: Thank you for trying this. I’ve seen it and wanted to try it but I was too nervous. Thanks for taking one for the team, Kamri.

Rachel Bespaly: I have one of these. I got it for my birthday a few years ago and I love it. I don't have a wand so this is the only curler that I've used and I think it's a lot faster anyway and you still get great curls. I'm surprised that this is new and people don't know about this and are still using wands.

Delaney Nystrom: I love your fab or fail videos so much!!!! But I wish you would do more hairstyles with braids and ponytails and stuff. Love you guys❤️

Marisol Solis: Kamri's hair looks wonderful Mindy I really love it! Good job.

Nikki Gloom: if you love the bedhead beachy curl sure its perfect! but not worth the price. she can get something cheaper and curl better. but the outcome was sweet.

Robyn Perry: I had the Conair one for a while! I found it actually worked very well, and had similar settings to this one. Only difference was that the Conair automatically would alternate the curls, if I remember correctly. I loved that tool. I have super fine hair that will hardly hold curls but those always held. You just have to be careful to section the pieces of hair very precisely to prevent snaring, and if the hair snares in the tool, don't tug at it right away, just give it a second and release slowly. Unfortunately, mine fell off the counter and broke. I have replaced it with a curling wand that I love, but I considered buying another Conair one. Great vid.

Christyna Davis: Love this video! It takes two hours to do my hair if I curl it and this will save me some time! What are the twins favorite colors? If you can answer that will be awesome! Can’t wait to try the twins mascara soon! Love you guys so much!

Emma Huston: powerhour! love u guys so much hope u see this!! can Brooklyn do an updated daily makeup routine? she's gorgeous!!!!!

Alexandra Gillis: I use curl secret, I’ve been using it for years and it works really well, it’s not steam like this one and it doesn’t have the alternating curl button option but all in all it works just the same and I believe it was less expensive compared to the one shown here

Charlotte Holmes: I love FAB OR FAILS!!! Please keep doing them!! I will definitely look into buying one of these! Wand curling never seems to work with me! Thanks for trying this out!

colby isabel: who else loves cute girls hairstyles videos?

lucy: This turned out so great! Kamri's hair is so pretty!

sammie cornwell: Oml, she looked stunning. I love the way it turned out!

Amanda Keefer: Love these videos! All your girls have such beautiful hair! How did you become so talented at braiding hair and doing all of these neat hairstyles?

mercedes elexa: i have one of those it’s just a different brand and i love it. it works so much better than a regular curler or wand and it’s a lot faster

Jasmine Kaur: I watched Kamri's picture with this curler on Instagram so I quickly turned YouTube on to see if you published any video. I saw it and was excited that I'm watching it after 9 minutes it's uploaded. Love CuteGirlHairstes.❤️

scarlett: Another amazing video from the amazing family you are!!! I love you guys so much xxx it's really good you do these videos so that us as buyers know what we are really in for. Thank you for being great keep doing what your doing!!! Xx

Charlotte Sinclair: Love the fab or fails! Also the finished product is what my hair looks like normally

Lydia Bui: I recently cut 20-22 inches off my hair and I would LOVE to see some more hairstyles for shoulder length hair for teens!

Esha Patel: I got a different version of the MiraCurl and it ate my hair. I lost about four inches of my hair to that thing. My hair was pretty long and it was faster and more efficient to take small pieces of my hair and MiraCurl them instead of using a manual curler cause my hair wouldn't fit on the curling rod.

Jasmine Sarkis: i love how you view the product from all perspectives! love you guys!

Taylor McClure: I have the conair version of this, and it was a game changer for me! I have super long, thick, wavy hair, and I can curl my whole head in about 30 minutes, where as it took me over an hour before! It’s super intimidating at first, but I’m a big fan. I’m not sure about that one, but for the conair, you wait until it beeps rapidly & that’s how you know it’s completely done! That may make a difference in the curls holding

Brielly Reinhard: It looks so good! I was just looking for a hair curler!

Katherin Marcotte: i have the con-air version and it was only $60. it works great and i love it. you don’t need to put water or anything like that but it makes such pretty curls and unwinds if your hair begins to get stuck. it tells you exactly when to release too!

Pacific Ocean: I am very impressed, it looks so beautiful and thick, gorgeous!

Annabelle Hunter: i love these things! i got one about 4 or 5 years ago and it works so well

Emma Lykseth: Love your family so so so much and you are so inspiring and fun and i love how responsible you are❤️ and I am having a flu and your video made me feel so much better!!❤️❤️

PianoDiva24: I love it! Very nice curls! Looks easy too! Kamari is so pretty and her hair is beautiful!

EJ styles: that was such an awesome video! i have thick hair and it takes me a while to curl my hair and it's not even that long but this made me think of getting my own. this was awesome.

Madison Lewe: I need to get this for my hair, though I wonder how well it works with a wavy/curly bird nest like mine gets

Avi Vig: I have this. It works amazing for me! Only got caught in my hair like 2 times.

Sydney Padilla: Nice job! Thanks for doing a demo! I just got this today for Christmas and am already using it. It works great!

kainat farooq: I love ur channel !! Tried so many hairstyles and they look fantastic! Have a great day

Danielle Ciamei: I love having naturally curly hair someone once asked me if I curl my hair when it’s clearly natural... that was weird

Hadley Estepp: Love the curls! Do you have any tricks on keeping your hair from getting all frizzy at the ends?

Adithi: Love you guys!!! This is one of my favorite series on your guys' channel. XO!! ❤️

Vicki: I’ve seen so many horror story’s about these Loved the result ❤️

Kaylee Stallings: I am pretty sure my mom watches this for finding out what to do with my hair. I understand now while she watches this. Also you girls are awesome, always willing to take chances with hair. :) :D

Niheshly Q: I have one but you have to wait until it beeps a lot of times, don't take the hair out on the third beep. Love you guys and it's just a little tip so the curls look tighter

Sandi Sue Designs: I love babybliss, and was intimidated by this product at first, but it worked great, as long as you don’t use too much hair at once! Just be careful and don’t drop it...it’s very fragile and mine broke when I dropped it.

Hailey Christmas: You guys are such a gorgeous family, keep up the good work!

kjo3490: I got the conair one for Christmas, it took me a while to get the hang of it. But once I figured it out, I love it. The curl is awesome. It works the same was as this one, and they are only about $50 on amazon

Haley Pennington: I bought one at Canton and got my hair demoed on and we were sold!!! I am sooo excited to use it

Ava Hall: I love this channel !!!You guys are awesome❤️‍♀️Kamri was so calm I would have been crazy!Have a good day

Allyson Cameron: When they ruffled the curls it gave me flashbacks to the old heatless curl videos ❤️

Riley Shoemake: ❤️❤️❤️ if you haven’t already, can you do simple easy hairstyles if you are running late?

Madison Morris: This helps so much!! I was thinking about getting one!

Catherine Boucher-Dufour: Love you all! I have one at home and the conair is less expensive and it works as well on short hair like mine or bailey's❤️

Joanne Tasse: I want one of those. The curler works really fantastic on the video. I'm sure it would work good for me also. Fantastic job girls.

Baylee S: I love when she dose fab or fails!! ❤️❤️

willowraine725: You’re right, my arm gets tired when using this. Great video.

Makayla Brannen: These curlers work so well I have one and use it at big events and I love it so much they are so good

Simra TC: Love these Fab or Fails!! ❤️❤️

Julia Martel: So cute! I also have one and I love it. I noticed how u released it after the third beep but on mine your supposed to wait for multiple beeps in a row after the third one.

baani: Mindy you are so inspiring and amazing you are one of my favourite youtubers I love you so much and your amazing family! :)

Mia Sandoval: I got that for my birthday but I was scared it would burn/ damage my hair so glad my favorite channel made a review:)

Trishali Sridharan: I love all your fab or fail videos! You test everything in the product and clear all our doubts!❤❤❤❤

Tristan Hanrath: I use that curling iron on my hair evertime I curl!!

Anshaali Singh: Kamri should curl her hair so prom!! She looks gorgeous

Abby Doffing: #powerhour!! For a behind the braids, you Guys should do an updated family morning routine!!! ❤️❤️❤️ love u guys!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Elmer Sorto: this was a fantastic fab or fail !!! love you guys ❤️

slim shady 🤍: It looks really good, I'm actually surprised it worked so well

emma rose: Love this!! Finally you guys tried it out!!❤️❤️

Janine Doughty: I bought the conair one a few years ago and my family loves it :)

Shannon Torrez: Kamri has grown up so much!

Chloe Hardy: That was very beautiful I would definitely buy that product

Poppy Hale: i have one of these and you did it very well it looks awesome

Karen: I love this product! It was my mum who got me into it love you guys from Scotland x

Maya Ramaswami: I love you!!! I have been following your journey for quite some time now and I'm so proud of how much your channel has grown. ❤️❤️❤️

BeckyAnn: I have one of these, or something very similar, and it is really dangerous. It worked well on making beautiful curls, but my hair would often get caught in the curler, and as it is still hot I am forced to yank out all the hair caught, on one occasion because my hair was caught and there was smoke, I had to cut parts of my hair out -So wouldn’t recommend

Iman Amir: it got stuck in my cousin's hair but luckily the one which she had, had kind of a hair remover in case it got stuck but it does pretty curls! <3 EDIT: The one wich she had did not have the water compartment but it did the same thing

Cathhe8D: I am not impressed with the result! :( I feel a wand makes a waaay better job! My hair is naturally curly so I get about the type of curl this tool gives, which I don’t particularly like! But yeah if facility is what is wanted it can be practical. :)

Ashleigh Sanders: I definitely liked them when you shook them out. My daughter hates the curling iron, I might get this for her!

Emily: I need one of these

KreativeKaren: When the time is up, it will actually give you three quick beeps. That is to tell you to release the hair. Each single beep is 2 seconds. I love the miracurl, I use it all the time.

Alexis Reyes: Im so asking my mom to get this for me because it takes me hours to-do my hair and this is so much safer

Banufshay: I have one, works great! You're actually supposed to hear 3 separate beeps like you did and then it'll go 3 beeps in a row and then take it out. You didn't wait for the 3 beeps in a row..

GLITTER’S GIRL: I Have This curler As Well and honestly I Love It ❤️
