Yes, we got our hands on one of the first wireless automated hair curling tools. This is very exiting, I love the concept of wireless hair tools! BUT, does it live up to the hype that comes with wireless tool! I'm gonna put this hair curling iron through the ringer and see what kind of results it produces. Let me know what you think about this tool - you can find it on Indiegogo under 'magic rod'.

--------------------------------------------------------

Today, i'm testing the very first automated wireless curling iron, so we are starting to see a lot of hair tools going with the trend of trying to create something wireless, something a little bit more convenient, but a lot of them. They miss the mark they're either not as powerful. They die too fast, they're either too they're just not convenient in a sense of yeah they're wireless, but then they die really fast and what next and then i can't even charge it, but this one you can actually charge it with any usb wall plug-in you can Even put it in your laptop case laptop case, you can even charge it with your laptop, so it's pretty cool, i like the convenience of that already. So this is a newer product, that's not even on the market, yet so we're basically like guinea pigs trying this product out all right, let's just jump into it and begin this review, i'm excited but kind of apprehensive, just because this chamber is very, very small. It'S 0.6 inches, 0.6 inches. So it's a little over half an inch which is a very tight curl and i don't know how it's going to look with this type of haircut and hair length. It'S probably not going to look the best and it's a very, very tiny chamber, so you have to use very small sections of hair and they actually did mention that if you do use bigger sections, it's not going to let you in which is a good thing, Because it's going to keep it safe, but i already don't like that part all right. I think i'm ready. I think it's heated up and i'm going to put the temperature to 360 degrees, fahrenheit and we'll do the timer to like. Let'S do 18 seconds we'll see how tight we can get it all right. Let'S begin that can be annoying wow! That'S annoying. Are you kidding me? It'S going to be the entire time, maybe you're supposed to keep. It pressed said it? Oh! No! Oh! Oh! No! All right, i'm gon na try to hold it closer to my root and see if we can get curl closer to my root. Oh, my goodness, i am gon na do this and i'm gon na tie myself how long this is gon na take all right. Let'S see, i'm gon na try to do a really big section and see if it will stop me, let's try. This still worked all right, we're going with bigger sections you guys they do have that feature. If you do get a really thick section in there, it's not going to go just because it doesn't want to tangle your hair, see that was too thick. It died on me. Oh the one thing is it doesn't save your settings? You have to restart from the very beginning. Let'S do this again. The one thing i do want to say is the curls are not coming out hot, which is a huge positive, they're warm but they're, not really hot, where it's uncomfortable to the touch. They say they last to five hours. I think for what it's doing, comparing it to like the chi, because you can only get one type of curl with this, it's doing a really good job. Can you guys hear me over this beeping? Let'S take a look at the first layer, it's definitely giving me movement, it's not making the curls look dry act dry brittle. You know that, like really you know, we know those curls. Alright, let's move on. If you have a lot of hair, if you have thick hair, if you have coarse hair, this will be a struggle for you just because that chamber is so limited in space. You know what i mean. The real estate is very small in here. Let'S actually do this side, i already have it set at left, so left means the curls are going to go away from your face on the right side. So it's basically the opposite whoa. This is literally the kind of hair curls i dreamed of when i was a little girl, i'm not even kidding literally i had a doll with the same colored hair as mine was blonde and she had such tight curls like this dreams are coming true. Y'All dreams are coming true, all right. Let'S change the the direction right. So right is on my left side to go away from my face. Oh wow that went quick. It was just at three. It'S already dying. We'Ve only been using it for 15 minutes and it's supposed to last for 60.. Should i just see if i can finish it? Alright, let's see. If i can finish this, i got one section left wow. This is shirley temple 2.0. It'S very frizzy wow. Let'S see what it looks like all done, if they're they're bouncy, i mean this is straight up: shirley temple, my dreams have come true all right, so it took roughly 30 minutes to do my hair and i don't have that much hair and it's short so keep That in mind and the battery is almost dead so before we started filming, it was charging for at least like what an hour and it basically stopped charging. It didn't say that it was charged, i plugged it back in and it just would turn out and then it would just turn off. The screen would go black, so i turned it back on and it said it was fully charged and then it was just sitting here for like five minutes and it already lost to one percentage of not percentage. One bar of the battery they're saying that working time of this is 60 minutes, which is not true just by sitting here all right. So let me just go in and just kind of do this to my hair. Oh, my goodness, i'm gon na have to wear a hat. Do you know uh the 70s show the 70s show the mom? Yes, i look like the mom right now. Babe wow like if you want volume with short hair i mean nice. Are you kidding me like what am i, what am i to do with this? What do we think of the overall results? I, like the consistency, gave a lot of volume and the curls still feel very good. I didn't apply any kind of product to my hair to give them a little bit more longevity or hold, and i'm not going to, because i want to see how it just holds on really fresh hair. I did take a shower this morning, so the hair is very, very fresh, so we'll see what happens as the day goes on all right. Let'S quickly talk about this product, the look is not bad, but for what it is. I think it did a fairly good job, a very, very good job. Honestly i mean i expected this type of look just because the barrel is so small, so i expected a lot of volume, but i do like that there's a lot of definition to the curls. That'S a huge positive all right. Let'S talk about the actual product, let's start with the pros pros wireless, huge positive, and i like that, the actual charger you can use it in any kind of brick to charge into your outlet. If you have the usb port and then you can also charge it in your laptop, so this right here has an input and an output. So we're wondering why does it have an output? Can you actually charge something from this? Are you kidding me right now? It charges my apple watch, that's a huge bonus if you have battery on here and you don't care to use it right away and your phone is dying and you're traveling charge your phone. I love the options on this and it has the lcd. The only thing is, it's kind of like those microwave options where you're trying to put the time your clock or even your oven clock, and if you miss messed up, you have to go from the very beginning. It'S that kind of options. You know what i mean. It'S the annoying loop, but it does have really great options. It has the temperature settings you can do in celsius or fahrenheit, which is phenomenal, and you can do different timers from eight seconds all the way up to 18 seconds. Another thing is, it gives you the option left to right or towards your face or away from your face. So for me, when i was holding the chamber away from my head, the chamber was open chamber was going away from my scalp. It'S not like this with the right side, i had to choose the left option, so it would go basically away from my face and then on the right side, keeping the chamber away from my head. I have to choose the right option. So basically, you flip flopping. The right to left on each side, another huge positive, is it does it for you, there's not much thinking required with this tool. The only thing is, you got to make sure you have the right amount of hair into the chamber and you have to put it in a certain way. So, let's go into the negatives, the cons, what could be fixed, so the first con i have to say, is the battery life for my hair type. It'S short, there's not that much of it and it's i did it for 30 minutes, styling the hair and it's already almost dead and it died already once i had to re, pretty much revive it. So if you do have longer hair, if you do have thicker hair, if you do have hair that has a hard time curling, you might have to sit a couple of times to charge this while you're curling your hair. So you got to keep that in mind. This might be good, for touch-ups might be good, for maybe quick, maybe like the 8. Second, instead of 18 seconds hold it for a higher temp with the lower amount of time. So keep that in mind. Second con is the chamber size, it's very uncomfortable. I had a lot of issues putting the hair in there and a lot of it would just fl fall out slide out. That needs to be changed, it needs to be widened or it needs to be just wide and towards the top. So you can slide it in and then it could just be the same size towards the bottom. It'S just this issue right here. It'S way too small, like look how small that is like. Why is it that i can't even put like my finger through that which i guess it's good, so you don't burn yourself, but then again i mean they could have, maybe widened it just a tad and then the whole thing is the size. I don't like the size curl, it's way too tight. I know a lot of people do like this type of curl, but for me personally, i think they need to come out with different options, size options, just because this is way too tight for a lot of people on an everyday basis. Most people want more of like a wave, a subtle, curl, a subtle wave, not something surely temple style, but that's a that's that could be a positive or a negative, depending on what you prefer with your hair type. Third negative, for me would have to be the beeping i like that it beeps, but the chi it didn't beep the entire time it just beeped, and then it beeped when it was done. Beeping to me, is a huge negative for this. Fourth negative is the actual design - it's very uncomfortable to hold this right here. It'S very sharp, it's not an actual circle, so it has like sharp edges. The one thing is it's not even heat distribution on the hair. The reason why i'm saying that is because it's not actually clamping it around the barrel is just loosely holding it, which is a good and a bad thing. So the good thing: it's not going to rip your hair out. If you accidentally, let it go and it's not going to break your hair, that's a huge positive and it's not creating as much tension, but the other negative is. If you do, let it go. It'S gon na fall out a lot sooner than it should and, of course, the uneven heat distribution. One other thing i do want to mention is the price they're, roughly gon na prices at 69, us dollars, and i'm saying roughly just because it's not a set price. This brand is a kickstarter type of brand, where they're still not in mass production, they're still in the early stages of developing this product and basically testing the waters of the market they're looking to see if there even is an interest for this product. How does it work, how does it work on different hair types, all that good stuff and seeing if they could maybe change something, i'm i'm not sure if they are looking to change anything but comparing it to the dyson air wrap they're, probably comparing it to the Type of curls, but the dyson air wrap the curl barrel attachments. You can use them multiple different ways with this. You can't that's another huge negative for me is the versatility i like a hair tool to have as much versatility as possible. For example, if i'm traveling i'll take a flat iron with me, if i want curls, if i want to straighten my hair, if i want to give my hair a bend i'll take a flat iron on me or if i know i'm not going to want super Sleek straight hair i'll take a curling iron with me that way, i can create different types of curls. I can create a bend. I can create volume with a curling iron. So with this, i only can create this and that's the only thing i'll get, which again is a good and a bad thing. So it's kind of you know it's a juggling thing where what would you rather have versus? What do you get type of deal? You know what i mean: that's my whole take on this. It'S a really cool product. It'S definitely comparable to the qi. I like that. It'S wireless has a lot of positive features to this. I think it's really great. We are actually gon na go to radnor lake and take a walk. I am literally enjoying this hair, it's just it's so much volume and bounce, and i actually really like how the curls are falling out. They'Re doing a beautiful job and yeah. It'S just. It looks so good, it is now it's past. 6. 34 p.m. So we're gon na go take a walk while it's still really nice out all right y'all. We just finished our. What was it 2.6 mile walk, and it is roughly 70 humidity right now and we can see that the curls have fallen out slightly, but it still looks good. The one thing is they're frizzy, but they're still really good. It'S more of a wave now than a curl, but it's looking really nice. Honestly, i'm kind of shocked. I am very sweaty, but we did a really good good walk and it was great but the other hair it didn't survive as well. But it still looks good. Are you guys that's the end of the video? I hope you enjoyed the video. Thank you for spending time with me. You didn't see andre in this vlog. There you go. Can you see andre inside the car um? Thank you for spending time with us and we'll see the next one very soon bye. You

Kalisha J: It's a style that's cute and looks even better as the day goes. Once you flipped it over instead of the middle part it was beautiful. I think it's a neat little gadget. Btw your hair color in the daylight really shone through with the curls, loved it!!

JillJ W: I know it's not your kinda curl but it does look gorgeous on you Edit: The check ins Such a good idea

Melissa Thomas: I feel like this is a really nice tool to keep with you if you're at an event where you need your hair to stay curly and need a touch up here and there. Or just want to have it as a touch up tool in general.

Tracy Ash: Just got mine on Christmas Eve 2021. Charged it & used for about 35 minutes on half my head and still had 2 bars of charge. Will take more practice, + I used it on “day old hair”. I like it. Super easy to use and I like the beeping timer!

Denise Wells: I ordered this tool yesterday & my hair is short & fine. I love how yours turned out & love, love, love the side part. You rock!! Update: Definitely does not work on shorter hair. So disappointed!

Paula Falco: Thank you, for this video! I bought it and was getting my hair stuck all the time. Once I saw the video I managed to use it without problems!

Anna R: I love your commitment to always finding something positive for every product even when you don’t necessarily care for the end result!!

Ann Biggs: I got me one today, finally came in the mail after a month. I hope I like it. Your curls came out beautiful. I think it’s a neat little gadget that definitely needs a few things added!

Jennifer Paxson: I love it! I have thinning fine hair a little shorter then yours and love curls so I would buy it! My health makes it difficult to spend long on my hair so I need things like this to make it as easy as possible. It would be nice to be able to vary curl to wave but I do always love a good curl!

Cazie: I LOVE IT!!! :D It looks so perfectly curly! Like a neater version of my natural curls!

Debbie Hailey: I think the curl is great, there’s room for the curl to relax. Side part is a huge plus. I love it on you!!

Merian Harper: Girl. Those curls look fabulous on you!! The result was awesome for you!

Sally Jacks TV Mum: It's a great system, easy to use and simple. Plus you can charge your phone...it's really brilliant. I've worked with this product on live TV and it's never let me down. Xxx

Kelly Maldia: I had a "wireless" curling iron when I was 16 years old. It was made by Braun and ran on butane! I'm 44 now. It was a whole different type of wireless!

Hayley Young: I actually like it! I have it and now I’m used to it I can control it and I love the way the curls last all day. I have mid length hair and I just curl the ends. I don’t bother sectioning top and bottom. I just work my way left to right round my whole head. I find when you run your hands through it or brush it out it looks amazing.

alexandra wood: Doesn't anyone remember the Braun independent from back in the day? I loved mine! They were wireless, so this new thing isn't the worlds first wireless hair tool, the Braun worked with mini gas canisters that you'd insert into the handle and would last a lot longer than this and didn't have an annoying beep! Haha! Mine was the straight and curl one, loved it, wish I still had it! Love your channel, your hairstyle ideas are awesome

Amanda C: They’ve supposedly made some updates to the battery and set up in the last few months… I wonder how it compares to the original you tried. Right now, they’re priced at $100 which is too much. Definitely looks like a Dyson based on color, that’s what I thought it was at first.

Crystal Southerland: I seen this advertise on Facebook and I instantly was hoping you were going to try this. Even though you didn't like the curls they still looked good on your hair.

Allison L.: You're so cute, funny and informative! I literally tried your curl with a flat iron tutorial this morning. I have the same exact flat iron, my hair came out like crap. Basically no curls and frizzy, I have same hair style as you. I don't know how you can grab the tip and twist without burning your fingers.. Also, I can't look in the mirror and snap a piece of hair, I keep missing the section and it keeps going the wrong way! You make it look so easy.I went to Ulta to this morning and asked for a tool that would curl my hair and not burn me and they didn't have anything. Then here comes this tutorial/ tool popping up, is Google listening to me?

Chella Bella: Need to charge it for up to four hours before you use it, states so in the book manual, the battery will last longer, can get different size curls depending where you place your hair, bottom, mid or at roots, I press once, then press it again to get more wavy curls. I like the fact it’s cordless, no fear of getting burnt on my head, face or hands, isn’t that heavy or uncomfortable to use, also I got mine from eBay for only $33, free delivery to Australia

Angie Manges: I LOVED the curls once you ran your fingers through them and tossed your hair a bit! It looks like it gives a cross between a curl and a wave, and when you have fine hair like me, the curl falls fast anyway.

Donna Noe: I love those curls. I would keep it parted. It looks old Hollywood bombshell. Love it.

Simone Valentine: My hair reaches down to my backside and this wand curls my hair really well. I love it.

Beverly Baker: Once you side parted you hair I fell in love with the curls. i think we have about the same cut so I hope this thing drops in price by at least half, if not more. Poor girls wanna look pretty too!

Sandi Sue Designs: I like your hair parted on the side! You say it’s too curly, but it looks good to me!

Gucci❤Mademoiselle: With the parting on the side how you flipped it over it actually looks stunning on you!

Josie Cochrane: The curls actually look good on you. It took too long, however. The beeping turned me off, but eventually I can see how they can improve it enough to where people would prefer it because it’s wireless.

Myrna Thiessen: I think I had the same doll as you as a kid, lol! The curls looked quite nice on you!

Carolyn Haney: I have the chi and I enjoy it. Your curls look amazing with this tool. I definitely hope they put it in the market soon.

EdwinaSY: I actually love how it looks parted on the side!

Daniela Baci: Overall results are GORGEOUS. You can always use a light hair spray to keep it in if ur go out

EpicCore: I got mine coming by Monday which I'm excited about, I brought it from Ebay and the price was amazing for me as it was £14.90, was £19.89 but I had a £5.00 voucher so I used it and paid £15.00 from PayPal. I can't wait to use it.

Tony Chavez: Quedaron padrísimos !! Me gustó mucho ese aparato. Saludos desde México.

Eliana Pelegrin: Que bacana. Ficou lindo… pena que no Brasil não tem para comprar. Bjs direto de Botucatu…Brasil

cheryl hensley: And as usual your hair turned out absolutely gorgeous!!!

si91je: @Milabu or anyone else: Have you ever had any problems with this curler? I just bought the exact same product in Norway(but under a different brand name) and after 2 1/2 curling sessions it completely stopped spinning as if there were too much hair in the opening. And now it only beeps and turns off no matter how little hair I put in. Still waiting for a reply from the store. #Disappointed

Bárbara Copeti: Meu cabelo natural é parecido como ficou o seu neste vídeo.. nossa que lindo mesmo!!!

CaRib0uL0u: So I turn mine around when I use it so the opening on the inside of my head. I LOVE my dream curler! Only wish it stay charged longer otherwise I'm obsessed with the curls it give and in half the time! Also I noticed I can't just charge it with like any charger, I have to use the charging wire it came with lol I do love I can use it on my year and a half old daughters hair and there's no heat to really hurt her, no heat really comes off of it also! Love that it's wireless also! Oh also!! I tried not getting really tight curls also so as it's got your hair in it, guide it downward, so it slowly comes out! It helps not give it as tight if a curl it's a nice wave look

Starr Tillman: I love the results. I would love to see one.

Hayley Young: I also like the battery power. It takes me about ten minutes to do my whole head now. And it usually lasts me three or four days that way. I wonder if she charged it properly. The other bonus is that you can pack it in your hand luggage on planes. So you can take only carry on and look fabulous on holiday.

Jordon Zhang: Wow, Amazing! I like to listen to Milabu explain products, Super professional!

Turena: It actually looks fantastic with the side part, and once the curls relaxed

Annie Keay: Thank you that was an excellent demo and helps me a lot

misottovoce: Good demo, thank you. Mine just arrived and the instructions say before first using charge for 3-4 hours. No problem for me, but that explains why yours died out after a short time. I will be trying mine out tonight!

MeanGurl15: Love all your videos, your testing , sharing your opionion, tips, and tricks for so many products is greatly appreciated!!!!!! I am lovin the purple top, would you share where you bought it from?

Pamela Zimnizzle: Okay I don’t know what you’re talking about your hair turned out amazing - those curls are perfection

albitabonita11: I don’t think I would necessarily substitute this for my curling iron, but I can’t totally see myself using this should I ever need to get ready in an airport, plane, road trip etc

Donna Southwick: I actually really like the curls! But I’m pretty sure that the directions say to charge for a minimum of 4 hours the first time, doesn’t it? Either way, those curls are what I’m looking for!

Samantha Bonnie Elizabeth: This was on ebay for 4plus years, plus the battery on these only last 30mins max. Colours there's 4 different types but I've seen about 7 depending on what company or wholesaler you buy from.

Deborah B.: I love the curls and they look so cute on you. Love it!

Tara Family Videos: Seems like everything is a gimmick. So grateful to you for your reviews!!

LadyAhro: Looks like my natural curls, I'm very interested in trying this on curls that hate me that day.

Sherrie Owen: Just watched another review and a girl has the same length hair as you and it took her 15 minutes. Just ordered mine, i cant wait to use it! Eeeeeek x

SolidRock: Wow - I wanna get this. Looks perfect!

marilyn unsworth: Just bought one of these and love it!

Amber Stephens: Back in the day we had wireless curling irons that had a propane element and you had to ignite by twisting the base and it would heat up. We would recurl our hair during lunch break at school. Gotta keep those 80s curls big!

BeautyAndTech: I think the curls look great and that you suit them.. Sneaky of them using Dyson colours though. Wonder if they did that on purpose?

Sidney Hargis: It basically achieved what my natural hair looks like on a good day which is kinda awesome

ashleigh westcott: I just got one for my birthday and I was a little scared to use it but i think I will have to give them a go, by the way those curls look lovely on you!

M: I’d love to see you use this on someone with longer hair!

A n: Dang I love this. I’m so bored with the beach wave look all the time and they fall out of my hair so fast. This looks promising for me.

Sonia Alvarado: The curls look beautiful. If you used hot rollers you’d get a similar look but you’d have to wear them longer, burn your fingers and possibly your ears/scalp too a curling iron also has a burn risk. too bad the product didn’t hold the charge as long as you needed it. If they can get the product to hold a charge longer I think it’ll be a good seller.

chloenkitty: I have a similar curling iron that you have to plug in the course and I think the reason you got tighter curls was because you left your hair in there too long

Daniela Gregorio: I bought this product after watching your video. Loved it!

brightpage1020: This is such a great idea but the application seems somewhat disappointing. I’m so grateful that you test these new trends and gimmicks before we waste money on them. Thank you. The curl is not bad, but it would take me all morning since my hair is very long, thick, and course. This is a cute look, and kind of retro but it seriously reminds me of an ‘80’s perm I got once. Adorable, but I know you can do better, Girlfriend!

R S: They had the butane curling iron in the late 1980’s or early 1990’s. It worked Great

MaryAnn Galbraith: Love your hair in tight curls! Looks very good on you, beautiful!

Jennifer W: What about people with medium to long hair? Can they use this iron, too? I think for short hair you doesn’t need this tool, ‘cause using an iron / flat iron is quite easy with short hair and gives you more style options (you decide how the curls look). So would be more interesting for girls with longer hair. But the iron section looks short to me. And more options - as you said - for the size of curls would be great. Also battery should last longer, then it would be perfect, especially for beginners.

Barbara Walker: I think it looks very nice on you my hair may be just a little bit longer than yours and see I wouldn't do the whole head even when I use a curling iron I only put about like 7 curls in it and I run my hand through it and it's just enough to give me some volume and I spray it!!

Julie Colleran: I don’t know about this... I wanted a beachwaver until my own hairstylist said she got her hair wound up in it and burned the side of her face! And this would be fine if you want the same curl all around. I think I will stick to my tried and true Kristin Ess curling iron! Thanks for the review! (Loved the sound of the krickets after your walk!)

connie howe: You can smooth it out with your fingers and how long will Curls last ? I guess it depends on if you have semi wavy or fully curly hair

Mary White: I always like volume in hairstyles. I think the curls are really nice.

Donna: I really think it looks great. Especially parted on the side.

LOVE'N PEACE: I so loved the look!

lizliz4rd: This looks beautiful!!!

Shirlene Higbie: I think that it turn out really nice .... I am still working with the my Dyson Airwrap trying to get the curls to hold and not fall out immediately ..... don't know what I am doing wrong .... hopefully I will eventually figure it out .... Thanks for sharing ..... Hugs ..... Shirlene

Pam Knight: I think the outcome is gorgeous!

Michelle Lafrance: I think its adorable! It will loosen up and be perfect for what you want! Love u guys!

Lynda Hollins: I love my Wylera wand, I have very fine hair and have arthritis in my hand and left thumb is basically un usable painful, so curling my hair with a wand is not an option. makes my hair lovely and soft and stays for a long time.

Julia G.: I love your hair this length. I can't even tell it's fine textured!

R.O.A.R. MinistriesWI: I'm surprised you didn't pull the curls after they came out of the curler to relax them more. I think it looked nice parted on the side.

Stacy Hardin: I have thick hair but I don't curl every piece of my hair. I like to leave some straight hair mixed with the hairs. I use the John Frieda (same as Conair) curling iron that sucks in the hair

Daniela Baci: I'm still waiting on my order from the U.S.. I've seen so many reviews and I love it. Can't wait to get get it and try it out

Michelle Byrd: Sounds like it would be great for my three little girls hair! Especially if the curl comes out not smoldering hot, and younger girls have less hair than grown up ladies. Thanks for sharing this product and review!!

caellum_jace: I must say, I had the “mom from That 70’s Show” thought about 30 seconds before Andrey said it...but it does still look good pulled apart with the side part!! I do agree that it’s not an everyday look, though.

Milagros Castañares: Hey, it seems powerful. I didn't try that one, but I'm using the Karmin curling iron, and is super pro!
