Natural Hair Tutorial - 2 Vintage Inspired Updos ❤ Mznaturallife

Fun tutorial for natural hair for 1940s inspired vintage cocktail style. I had fun wearing this for a vintage themed Christmas Gala this week! This is also my first time with red lipstick too! I guess I'm on my grown woman status now! LOL! You can see more photos on my Instagram!

I'm wearing Mac's "RubyWoo" lipstick and "Raisin" blush with Urban Decay Naked 2 on the eyes. Also, Makeup Forever for foundation.

In YouTube, it's miss natural light. Thank you so much for joining today. I would like to share with you two quick and early 1940s inspired hairstyles. So if you would like to see how easy and fun they are then stay tuned, I started out with stretched hair. I did lightly blow-dry it just to make it a little bit easier to get through and manage, and I started by parting off a front section for my bangs, then just to help us all along. I decided to use a little bit of gel. You can use two gel of your choice, but I chose that, as I am smoothing gel just to slick the edges a little bit, but not too much. I use a soft bone, bristle brush just to help smooth and then I also smooth my bangs at Sally's. I was able to purchase a bun maker. You know the kind that you use whenever you're gon na make a bun for your hair, and I just cut the bun maker in order to make this little contraption to make my bangs some people call it a rat. But I decided to just do this to help mold my veins into shape and help hold them there. If you're going to use something like this to hold your veins, you want to make sure to pin the pins where you can't see them, but also to be able to cover the sides so that it doesn't show. So once you get that pinned in you have a nice role to bang next you're going to do a part in the middle I'm at the base of your bangs, just to get your hair separated into two sections on each side. What you're gon na do is make rolls you're going to roll each side of your hair back where it's Ward's, the back of your hair and pin it and you're going to take the remaining hair and twist it together and pin it under the bottom. And this kind of gives you a faux curl look, my hair isn't straightened like they had it back then, but it kind of gives that faux look of it being straight. It also gives a victory. Roll kind of look too just going to take the sections together and roll it towards the end, loosely rolling it and then you're, just going to take a hair, pin and pin it under this gives it some texture as well as and layered curl book. So once you do it on one side, you just repeat: you want to make sure to put some pins in the back to hold it securely and just like that, you're done. Of course, you have to add a nice accessory for some Flair. These cocktail, hats and hat pans were very popular during this time. I chose to use one with a veil, and then I had another one that was reminiscent of a cocktail hat. You may want to pin your accessory just to keep it in place. It'S just that simple to get a cute hairstyle now, if you want to jazz it up, here's the second option. You kind of do the same thing that you did the first time you're just going to roll it a little differently. You want to pin the sides and you're going to roll the back, but this time you're gon na leave that hair that's a little shorter at the top, where you rolled it to make a second roll, so you'll roll the back and pin it under just like The first time, but with this style you're going to take the left over here on the top and make an additional roll. This just gives it a little more texture. Then, instead of having a bang, we're going to make a roll, that's reminiscent of the victory rolls you just kind of twist the bottom of your bang and then flip it back like a pompadour. But the double twist gives it that two roll look and then, when you pin the bang down just a little, it gives it the appearance of two rolls on the top. Then, when you add your accessory, it gives you the victory. Roll look make sure to have some red lips to pop it all off and your look is done very chic, very easy and very vintage. I hope you enjoy today's tutorial be sure to rate comment and subscribe and I'll see you guys in the next video bye.
