Okay, ladies, we are here outside with two of the exhibit models they have. My favorite up-dos of the exhibit !'' Kaneedra'' and `` Ashley'' and they're gon na tell us about how they achieved their up do and how difficult they were. Ok, Kaneedra, we'll start with you Tell us about your up-do and how you achieved it.. I basically put bobby pins in it to kind of not have fly aways. It took me about five-minutes.. I work out a lot, so I have to have something. That'S quick and convenient. This morning I worked out so when I went home I just kind of stuck a few bobby pins here and there gave it a little bump up top little bit of a bump in the back, and that was it so it was. It was not difficult at all. It didn't take more than five minutes and I was out the door because I had to get here to the exhibit on time.. Okay, and how long did it take you to learn how to do an updo in 5 minutes? The five minutes that it took to do ireally wasn't anything. It was basically I had to get to an exhibit. I teach fitness classes, so I don't have a lot of time to work with my hair, so I have to learn stuff on the fly. So if I can learn it very quickly, then it works for me. If I can't - and I have the mess around with it too much - I have to cut it - can't do it., So I do twist my hair, you know I might twist it on a Sunday when I have more time, but during the week when i'm rushing, I Pin it up. It took about five minutes. I was pinned up and ready to go out the door. Fantastic, and can we see the back, Can you do a quick turn around? It looks beautiful., Look how beautiful all that detail is And all that texture We got. Ta get her signature streak in the front. You'Re gon na have girls dying their hair like this, And this is Natural right. This natural I've had this. Since I was 12, it wasn't this thick when I was 12 it'll grow in year after year. So eventually, my hair will probably be all white. wow and you got ta, keep it that way: yea! Well, it's beautiful (, Loud screaming teens in background ), LL Cool J just walked down the street, He's going to the `` Yours. Naturally, Exhibit'' hahaha `` Uncle L'' hahaha. Now, please tell us about your beautiful up. Do okay and both of them have almost similar updos in your pictures, absolutely beautiful i'll that `` Just like Kaneedra! This is a fast 5 minutes. I'M just trying to get out the house and, like I said, my motto, is grab and go so l like to make a little crown here, but after that, it's just grabbing it and pinning it. I'M grabbing it and pinning until none of the 2-strand twists are hanging out and then you're done.. This is a fantastic idea. If you want to have a twist-out, maybe in a few days you know, but you have another event to go before before the twistout right, but you want to keep it. You know, keep the definition for a later time. You can have a beautiful up-do. I absolutely love it. Can you turn around to get the details Awesome? How long have you been natural and how long did it take you before you found your groove, where you were confident to wear your natural hair? The way you liked it. I'Ve been natural for about five years about finding my groove. I think I'm still finding it cause they're times when I'm still not quite sure what to do, how to style it. So I have to still ask questions still get on YouTube or ask friends. So I'm still searching for a groove, but I think I got a nice hold on it for now.. I think you found it And the same question for you.. I went natural in college. It was 2004, So I've been natural for eleven years. Now. January 2015 would have been 11 years, I'm and I would agree with Ashley, I'm still trying to find my groove. However, I feel like way more confident than I was in 2004, like I don't feel like. I have a bad hair day cuz. I turn it into a good hair day.. So, even when I have a day when I'm like WHOA, I'm like ``, I can fix that'', and that is really what I would promote as a natural is just find whatever works for you. So, even though I'm still trying out styles I'll, never find a style where I'm like, maybe it didn't work, but I don't feel completely bad about it. So 2004 is when I went natural and I've really become confident in the past couple years.. Thank you so much. Ladies for sharing, Your pictures are beautiful. Alright, ladies, take care bye,

Amanda Costen: Wow, I'm like that and its year two..confident with my natural hair knowing I can fix it up how I like no matter how it was when I started. I'm glad I know my hair Now and will continue to grow with it with an open mind..the Over use of protective styles that include extensions prevents people from fully learning the potential of their own natural hair in my opinion. I love weaves too but since going natural I rather see my hair so I can know what it needs and treat it more often to moisture. I would love to try mini twists with no extensions for the first time on myself this year. Hair journeys inspire people to set and achieve goals, be confident and be different. A big updo, that's all mine, is on my list of goals as a naturalista! #healthyhairisalwaysbeautiful
