How I styled my hair for the 18th day of my 30 Days, 30 Updos challenge. Don't forget to check out my blog: myfroandi.com and tweet me @aishaandlife

Hi today, I'm going to show you how I've done day 18 of my 30 days, 30 updos a hair challenge, so this is a first for me. Please bear with me because I have never done this style before I saw the photo. I think it was on pinterest somewhere and I just fell in love with it um. So I thought. Okay, I need to try that, but I can find a tutorial anyway, so I'm just gon na kind of do it almost as live as possible. I know it's not technically live, but I've never done this out before. So it's probably going to be a bit shaky compared to my other tutorials, but bear with me there's a first time for everything you're doing it for the first time, like I'm doing it for the first time. Okay, so this is the finished look. I know it needs a bit of practice, but I figured actually you know everyone who is watching. My channel is probably on a learning curve, I'm also still learning so, let's just learn together. Okay, all right here goes the tutorial, I guess, as usual, I'm starting off with a twist out and you can start off with a blow dry or some people call it a blowout or I don't know whatever you use to stretch your hair at night. Okay, so I'm just gon na lightly fluff, my hair out just to help it get a bit more stretched and prepared for the style of about to do I'm going to use a bit of my daily treatment and repair lotion from a fro botanics. I did a review of this recently on my blog, I'm just going to put a little bit of lotion on my hands. We want to rub that in so I do this just to help soften my hair a bit further and help it prep help prep it for the styles. So don't forget um. Just before I started recording, I did spritz my hair with my daily spritz before i undid my twist, so my hair is feeling slightly damp, it's not completely down, but it's feeling slightly damned and ready to go. So I know I was never cut my hair dry or without conditioner on, but for this style and for quite a few of my updos, I've had to sort of use my call, but what I do is I make sure that I don't sort of force the Comb through - and I always comb in sections, so I bunch it up into sort of handfuls like this, and I just like me comb. It just helps to sort of do this to minimize breakage okay on to the next section. It'S really just enough here that fits into my hands and if your hair, softer and less resistant than mine then go ahead and pull the comb right through just make sure that you're not breaking your hair. But as you can see, my hair is it's pretty. It'S pretty resistance, I'm using that word a lot, because there's no other way to describe my hair right now. So again, just be gentle, even if your hair is thick and resistant, it's still fragile, so just be careful not to over comb. If you feel an odd, maybe undo the knot before continuing to comb the hair, okay, so just continue doing that all the way. Ok, so now you've pretty much combed your hair a bit. Obviously, if you blow dried it, then it would be a bit straight to the mess. Ok, so I'm going to do is I'm going to cut my hair off to the side so make sure that the line is as neat as possible me? It doesn't have to be perfect, but he said I think it does, but I'm think I'm gon na do that. Ok, ok, so I'm gon na start off and if this is gon na work or not, okay, um, let's see, let's see, ok, I'm going to extend the line, so I'm going to create a sort of diagonal line towards the back. So I'm kind of almost splitting my hair in half. If you could see that okay, so it's a sort of you know it starts off here and then it goes to the back yes and screen to clip the back part out of the way from now and decide as well. All right here we go. Ok, I'm going to start off with this and do i call them double twist. I just twist the hair around twice or three times and this case we're going to do three times. Then we're going to pick some hair add to one of the strands twisted round me just it this way. Ok, so I've got these two strands, this one sticker, this one's thinner so then pick some more add it to the smaller one. Pick, some more toast you! You ok so now I've gotten to this part, i'm going to add it to the back here. I think i'm going to do a great to just end it off. Ok. So at the moment I don't think it's looking so neat, but I'm going to see if I can fix that later. Ok, so I'm gon na, I think I'm going to pin it here and just sort of lightly use my watches comb to just smooth it out. A little bit, I think, the more stretched you here is the better. This is going to look. Ok, so then for the rest of my hair, I'm just going to sort of wool and tuck it. Okay, i think i'm going to try and attempt to just leave this up slightly a bit later: okay, i'm going to roll attack and then use pins to just secure it. So just watch what I do you, I guess it's not looking too bad, i'm quite liking. This sort of like side bit here. Second, i'm just gon na use my comb to just gently blend the rest of the hair in i'm sure, if, like I said, if your hair has been stretched a bit more than it probably will look a bit neater than mine okay. So now i'm just gon na use my toothbrush, not the toothbrush that i use for my teeth, but the one for specific is on my hair, so I'm just going to sort of brush around now you can put maybe a little bit of gel on the side Here, just to give it a bit of a sort of slicker kind of look just the baby hairs, ok, not too bad for the first time. I know for next time. I think i'm just going to have to sort of pull my hair bit more or maybe keep this hair kind of pinned down. While I do the twist around, I think I'm just going to add a pin. Ok and that's it is the finished. Look focus a camera at the back. I cool thanks for watching
