Easy Homecoming Updo | Twist Me Pretty

Today I'm sharing THE prettiest homecoming updo! I'm just a little bit obsessed with these fat connecting twists, aren't they amazing?! This hairstyle can easily be dressed up or down depending on how fancy you make your messy bun. You could also throw the twists into a half up style, turn them into a really pretty mixed braided style, or fluffy ponytail! Maybe my next video should be 100 ways to style fat connecting twists... hahaha! But seriously

Hey everybody, it's your girl, Abby from twist me pretty welcome back to my channel. I am so excited for today's video I'm excited for all of them, but today's especially because it's a really really pretty up to you that I've been working on for a minute and there's two ways to wear it. There is a more formal like wedding slash. I know homecoming is coming up for a lot of you or you can totally dress it down and have it be more casual every day so and very excited to show you how to wear this herself, how to do it and how to look so hope. You guys enjoy make sure to subscribe a little so that you don't miss any future. Videos just click that little red button down there. That says subscribe and then I'll be delivered to your inbox every single week, and it will be amazing. Alright, let's get started. Okay. First you're gon na want to make sure you have some big curls or texture in the hair. This is just gon na make styling that I've doof's so much easier and I'll leave some product links in the description, if you're needing some extra texture, I've just ones that I really love and then we're gon na take two sections from the front and clip them Out of the way these two sections are gon na, be our twists, then we're gon na put the rest of the hair into it alone, messy bun. Now you can make this messy bun more casual, looking or give it a few bobby pins and make it look a little bit more formal. So I'm just gon na pull the hair almost all the way through the elastic, so leave out some of the ends and then twist the elastic and wrap it around one more time to make your bun and then I like to find the base of the bun And cinch it tighter. This will help give the button more volume and then I'm just going to take some bobby pins and really form the bun until it looks how I next we're gon na release the sections in the front and starting with a smaller side. I'M just gon na take a small section next to my part and split it in two and then twist both of these sections away from your face and then you're gon na twist them together towards your face, then you're gon na add a new section of hair To that front section and twist it away from your face, so it doesn't lose its twist and then add a new section of hair to that back twist and once these sections are both twisted away from your face, you're gon na twist them together towards your face And then just repeat all the way down until your ear, where you're gon na stop adding in new sections and just do a twist until the ends, and it honestly doesn't matter which direction you twist. The hair, as long as the individual twists, are going in the opposite direction as how you're twisting them together. Hopefully that makes sense before tying the twists off with a clear elastic, go in and pull out some fringe if you wanna and fluff out the twists. So I'm basically holding the twist tight with one hand and with my other hand, I'm gently tugging on that twist to loosen it up and make it look more full. So if you hold the entire twist pretty taut, it won't loosen the twist instead. It'Ll just add more volume to it once it's locked out to perfection you're, just gon na tie it off with clear elastic and then we're gon na repeat on the other side. Now that your twists are done, you're gon na take your first twist and drape it over the messy bun and then take the tail and wrap it kind of around and under the bun and then secure it in place with a bobby pin or two. And then you can loosen up that twist, even more so that it's nice and big and then you're gon na take your other twist and we're gon na drape it over the first and I'm just gently pulling on that twist kind of as I go so wrap It around the bun and secure with a couple of bobby pins. Then, if you want to you, can massage that twist even further. I actually like to place a few bobby pins into the twist so that it'll hold that volume and then just kind of tweak. Whatever you need to to get that, look that you're going for. I typically like to leave my bangs out, but in case you wanted to pull them back. I think it's really pretty to sweep them in the opposite direction that they want to go. I think it just adds more volume and then you can either loosely twist the sections back and just pin it behind the twist or you can actually make one like. We did earlier with two sections a little mini twist. If you will and that's it so pretty and seriously so much easier than it looks right, this updo would be so pretty as a ponytail. The twists would make a really great mixed braided style where the ends, maybe you could just do like a regular, three-strand, braid or fishtail all the way down the possibilities are endless, and this brings us to the end of our video. Thank you so much for watching you guys if you liked this tutorial, please give it a thumbs up. That would help me out a ton and then, if you want to subscribe to my channel, you can click right here and I'll leave a playlist of tutorials that I think you guys might also like right over here.
