Simple Holiday Updo

I've been looking for the perfect Thanksgiving hairstyle. One that was super easy and didn't require too much random pinning. I also wanted one that would look great without extensions and I wanted it to take less than ten minutes from start to finish. Inspired by Cute Girls Hairstyles Pull Through Braid and @annieforgetsmeknots (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-W0yYv...), this simple Holiday Updo has quickly become one of my favorite hairstyles!

What do you think? Are you going to give it a try this holiday season?!

Step by step photos of this hairstyle and the WINNERS of the New Braiding Handbook are announced on my blog -- come see if you won! http://www.twistmepretty.com/2014/11/h... ‎E

We'Re going to start on the left side and work our way to the right. So take a small section of hair and secure with an elastic make sure that the elastic isn't too tight. And then it looks how you want from the front before moving on then secure another small section right next to the first and tie it off with a clear elastic from here we're going to add in a new step. So split the tail of the first section of hair in half and place the tail of the second section through the middle and then secure the tails, a duckbill clip and now we're going to make a third section. Just like the first two except we're going to be adding the tails from the first section to it. Now we're simply going to repeat these steps until we've reached the other side of our head, so you're going to split that top section or the left section in half and put the bottom or right section through the middle of it, secure with a duct book clip And make a new section adding in those tails, Oh hi, that's enough! Now, I'm going to pull and tug on the sections to add more volume to the braid, and I'm doing this before I finish, adding in all the elastics. This way, it's just easier when I get to the end and now we're gon na finish, our pull-through braid by adding an elastic to the top strand, make a hole with your finger and pull the bottom strand through and repeat the steps all the way to the End of your hair and then we're going to pull on the sections one more time to make it super big and fluffy. You couldn't tie me down in that enough. I just doodles of eccentric phase margin space help. It'S now we're gon na wrap the ends underneath that top braid and secure the roller, pin or bobby pin and then from here on out we're just gon na hairspray and finish securing with bobby pins to make the braid look exactly how we want there's so much. Okay, poetry: I've got a head full of songs, a heart with wings, you couldn't time and out and that's a wrap. I hope you guys try this easy holiday updo. If you do make sure to tag me on instagram at twist me pretty, so I can see it and Happy Thanksgiving. You guys make sure to subscribe below and we'll see you next week. Bye

Marlene Flores: My hair is naturally straight, by curling it softly ; you think it'll make it easier? Btw its loooong idk if i can manage to accomplish this look

Hannaaah @tigerlilyletters: Okay, let me just say, this does not work if you have a lot of hair and or long hair. my hair is chest-length I think you could call it.. and this did not work.. it was way to heavy and there was way to many hair left.. To bad because It look soooo prettyy !! :)

AnneliVsWorld: 2. Hahaha kidding! Love youre videoes, im really greatfull that you make these! Hugs from Norway! ❤️❤️

ᔕOᖴIᗩ !: Girls always say SIMPLE hairstyles but this is really hard

Thảo Ngân Đỗ Đình: hi! will it work with thick hair??

OnyxFire: What hairstyle did you wear for your wedding, Ms. Smith?

ESELINAPK: HELP please.. I can't seem to get it right. Split the pony then put the other pony between the first pony, the hair left hanging, top and bottom you gather that then make another pony adding some hair to it BUT my problem is that the bottom seems to not stay at the bottom instead it pulls across???? Does that make sense at all? Lol and also when I try pulling it it just looks messy and out of place. Really keen on having this hairstyle for a wedding, my hair is long, has anybody got tips pleeeassse :) Thanks
