Brooklyn’S Easy Ribbon Fishtail Braid | Diy Summer Hairstyle
Today I will be showing you how to create an #EASY #Fishtail braid using only a ribbon! This #braid requires NO elastics, and it could definitely be dressed up or down! Where would you wear this hairstyle? ♀️

Step by Step Instructions:
Step 1: Use dry shampoo to absorb oils and add volume to the hair. You could also use texture spray here to add more volume and grit, if needed.
Step 2: Pick up 2 side pieces, probably about an inch on each side.
Step 3: Place a ribbon under the 2 pieces, and drop the hair on top. Bring the ribbon around the top of the hair, and tie a knot.
Step 4: Pick up 2 more pieces of hair from either side of the head, place the ribbon under them, loop it around, and tie another knot. Repeat this process down the length of the hair.
*Pull and fluff as you go down the braid to get the look that you desire. You can also use texturizing powder to add grit and texture (especially useful if you’re working with fine hair)*
Step 5: Once you’ve reached the end of the hair length, wrap the ribbon around the hair, bring it back to the front, and tie it in a bow.
Step 6: Fluff and tweak as needed, and then top off with some hairspray to lock in the style all day!

(, lively, music, ), Hey everyone, I'm Mindy from Cute Girls, Hairstyles. Brooklyn's here with me: today., Hey guys And we are gon na, show you the coolest ribbon fishtail braid.. It is like a fishtail hack., It's so easy., It's so easy and it literally requires zero. Elastics.. Yeah true. Zero., It is just a ribbon which is so fun, but it makes the coolest puffiest braid.. So if you guys haven't already subscribed to our channel be sure to do that by clicking right here and just so, you know today, I'm going to be using various Hairitage by Mindy products to help style the hair, and you can find all the links in the Description box below., So let's get to it.. Okay, you guys we're gon na start this hairstyle by prepping the hair.. So for me, that's running a little dry shampoo through the top., I'm using Hairitage The Lazy Day, and this just helps absorb any oils. As the day goes along., You can also put some texture spray through here. If you want to help give it a little bit of body and movement through the hair. Okay. Now, once we have done this, got the hair out, prepped we're gon na just take our fingers and reach around to the front and pick up two side pieces just about the equal, equal size., Maybe like an inch of hair on each side., Just pick'em up like This. And I don't mind a few little like ear whispies, so I'm gon na just. like if she has natural baby hairs that want to play and pop out just let it happen.. Okay, I'm taking a quarter inch ribbon.! You can use any ribbon. You want.! This is actually kind of more of a like. Almost like a string like ribbon., You can use a grosgrain ribbon. Anything you want.. I just like this thinner, ribbon., I'm gon na. Take it and lay it under her hair. You can drop it. Just have her drop. It and you're gon na just tie a knot in the hair.. Now we want this first piece to be loose so see how this is nice and relaxed. Don'T panic if it looks like that because we want this hairstyle to be really Bohemian feeling boho and kind of soft and not too tight.. Now, you're gon na pick up another little piece of hair about the same size on either side of the head and I'm just gon na finger. Comb., I'm not taking myself too seriously here and put it in between the strands again and take them tie one little knot like this.. So now, you've just made basically a knot on top of a knot. And we're gon na pick up more hair and you're, starting to see the repeating pattern. Lay it in between the strings tie one like a shoelace knot, tie it down. And just repeat. ( lively, Music ), Okay, now on this fourth one, I'm gon na go back up to those top pieces and I'm gon na just loosen'em up a little bit.. I really want that to puff out the hair to be nice and relaxed and soft, and I'm gon na keep going. So reach back under pick up another section of hair ribbon and tie a knot like that.. Do it again. And you can stop wherever you want.? So I have seen people stop after three or four, if they just want like this first little section, and then they want it to just be like a loose ponytail like this.. You can do that if you want to. When I get to about here. Another great little trick you can do is take some texturizing powder.. This is the Magic Dust from Hairitage and just tap it into the hair like this.. If your hair is really fine and thin and you're worried about it, sliding out as you pull and tug, this just gives it a little grit and a little grip and really helps you as you puff and pull on that braid.. It'S all gon na stay nicely in place.. We'Re just gonnaa, keep going all the way down: ( lively, music, ) I'll, probably do one, maybe two more. Getting kind of down to where the ends are going to start popping. Out., (, lively, music, ). So then tap a little texture powder in there and you'll see that texture powder just literally disappeared, almost melts into their hair.. It'S so cool. Pull and loosen., And then on this last one, I'm just gon na take the ribbon, wrap it around again. Take it back to the front. (, lively, music ) And do a nice little bow.. Then I'm gon na go back and just tap this in one more time again just super lightly. And then go back and pull.. You can make this as big and fluffy or small, as you want., Totally your preference., And there you go. And then on these little like whispies. I just leave'em, except these front pieces that I'll hit with a little curling iron or a flat iron to just give'em. A little curl. You can even go back up same thing, here. Tap some of this in and loosen so that the hair whole hairstyle is just really soft and full looking., And there you go., Once you get the bow tied off, you can use some Hairitage Flexible, Hold Hairspray and just spray lightly on the top to just hold everything just slightly in place. And you're good to go.. Okay. So let's do the final spin. Here we go, voila.! Isn'T it fun and puffy Love puffy braids. There you go. So Brooklyn, and I were just talking about how awesome this hairstyle would be if you did like some fancy curls at the top or some braids into it, -- Flowers in it or something., Like for a Wedding or a prom., I think it would be such a pretty hairstyle. I agree..
