Hey guys welcome back to my channel. One of the videos you guys recently requested is a topper tutorial. That'S specifically doing updos, I'm not gon na lie. I definitely have some practice for this one and that's because doing updos those toppers can be a bit challenging because when you gather all the hair towards the top of your head, it kind of makes a topper lift up a bit. And the clips start to tug and it looks all bumpy, so you definitely will have to practice as well, but I promise practice makes perfect and we're gon na start with the most easiest simplistic hairstyles for this video I'll start with a low pony, a sleek low Pony with a middle part, the second is that playful high pony, basically this one I'm using a topper right now - and this is the pony tail that I was able to achieve, and the last one is a high bun. Of course, I have to use a bunch of hair ties and bobby pins to get these looks so be sure to have them handy if you're gon na be following along alright. Now, let's get to it so taking the topper, I'm going to place it on my hair, as I normally would. This is the clear topper from uni wigs and you can kind of see, there's already a parting in there anytime. I wear the chopper. It'S usually in that parting, so I've added a bit of concealer to help accentuate the part and make it look a bit more natural. But here I'm gon na be partying in the middle and I have to say this was a challenge in and of itself. The hair is pretty much trained to be parted on the side, so partying in the middle was pretty hard. You guys could see him kind of struggling to get the hair to sit nicely in the middle part. But one thing that would really help is using a flat iron kind of dipping, the hair, letting it dry and then using a flat iron to help it set and stay in place. Taking some of my baby hairs out to just blend the top burp, it's better and then I'm gon na gather all of my hair into a ponytail. I would really emphasize using a comb. It'S a lot more gentle on the topper and then a brush, and I find that brush is kind of tug at the topper in a way that you really don't want and just basically cause unnecessary tugging and pulling on your natural hair. So if you last steps are to get those flyaways, those little alfalfa, hairs that are sticking up, get them to same place so using some bobby pins, I'm just going to tuck them in and set them in place on both sides. And finally, the last step is to just tug a little bit of the hair at the background area to add a bit more volume, making the ponytail look a bit fuller and a lot more sleek and sophisticated, and there you have it. That is the low ponytail. Using a cover now for the high ponytail taking out the low Pony and we're just going to part the hair in half, basically, a half up, half down kind of look gathering, only the hair at the top, basically just the topper hair and a little bit of Your own hair gathering all that I'm gon na comb, my hair into a really high pony and you can see the topper - is lifting up a little bit as I do this. So I have to be super gentle, not tug at it too much a little bit of bumps and kind of uneven patches are gon na happen at the top of the topper. That you'll be able to see quite clearly but we'll deal with that and a little later, we're just gon na use some bobby pins to fly that out a bit and then gathering the rest of the hair. We'Re gon na gather everything together combined everything into one ponytail. The reason why we do this is it helps to not tug at the topper as much by doing two separate ponytails. It also adds a bit of extra volume by doing two separate ponytails. Now I'm gon na be just grabbing some face framing pieces, baby hair, it's letting them kind of frame my face and blend the chopper. In with my natural hair, then one step that I think is really great. Whenever using a chopper, is you get to tease with a popper hair? I never keep my own hair, but here I'm teasing the copper hair to add a bit more volume or that messy fun kind of pony look second style right now and then for those bumps that RSS pops bobby pins are our friends. This is what all the bobby pins come in, so I'm just going to flatten out those bumps help everything blend and look a lot more natural and there you have it. That is my high ponytail, using a chopper. Now, for the last style, the high bun, you pretty much repeat all of the steps of the high ponytail, but instead of this stuff, where you added a las elastic. Instead of gathering all the hair and putting the elastic you'd gather the hair and wrap it all around into a nice bun and using the elastic, you would then use it to hold that bun in place and then tuck it some pieces to make it look a Bit more fuller and playful, and you can set that bun in place using some bobby pins and there you have it. That is the high bun using a topper. As always. Thank you guys so much for watching. Flower Child: Do you find the topper puts too much “tugging” on your natural hair potentially pulling more natural hair out?

Rajita Dutta: Hi Lylah.I am Rajita and I live in Netherlands. I am 32 years old and have the same hair loss problem you are having. Your videos are very inspiring. The toppers look really great. However if I use them regularly will it weaken my natural hair more because of the pins? Do you suggest to wear them only occasionally? Thanks, Rajita.
