Hey everyone: this is Jenny's street, with confessions of a hairstyles and I'm so excited because the other day I post through a photo of a client of mine - and I created this really fun, knotted Mohawk. So, on my model Kendra here I went ahead and replicated it, and what I like about this, too, is that Kendra's hair is actually mid length and my clients was actually really long. So it shows you girls, a little bit of a variety there with the ways that you can finish it for medium to long, hair, so anyways, I just adore this style, and I know you girls well too, so let's go and get started alright, so my model Kendra'S hair is 2nd day old, so it definitely has a little bit of a texture to it. So it's perfect for this hairstyle. So all I'm going to do is create a square section on top, so I'm basically going to take my pointer fingers and app her hairline. Just pull back my fingers a little bit section off the hair, creating a square section. So I want to see a little bit of volume at the top, so I'm just simply going to take the section of hair and all I'm gon na do is slightly twist it and then push it forward and then I'm just gon na secure it with a Bobby pin so now, I'm just gon na do a center parting here and now I'm just gon na take a section of hair from each side and just using my pointer finger. So this just is about two inches here and I'm simply just going to pull it back bobby, pin it right here and then I'm going to start my knotting technique. This is just gon na really help give us a nice sleek smooth, look on the side. They repeat that, on the same thing, on the other side, now that I've secured bobby pins on both sides, all I'm going to do is take that section up divide it in half. Now I'm going to create a knot so basically taking our sections and simply doing a basic, simple knot. I'M going to pull it out and have my model hold these for me and I'm going to repeat the same thing with these other sections around the face and the only reason why I'm Bobby pinning the sections around the face, because I want a little bit more Sleeker and tighter to the head just around the face area, now that I've created a nice sleek of section here, I'm going to continue knotting it. So I'm what I'm going to do is divide this section in half incorporate our previous sections now and now I'm going to repeat that technique and do another knot. Now we've created another knot in there, so I'm going to have my model hold onto these strands and now I'm going to create another section of hair. I'M just taking my pointer finger across the back of her hair, dividing the hair in half, incorporating the side hair and repeating that same technique, so do just doing a basic knot. So I'm just repeating the same technique took the sections and created a nice knot. All right now, I'm going to take our last section and do the same thing. I'M just going to keep on continuing nodding it until we get to the very ends and then I'm going to secure the ends with an elastic all right. So what we're gon na do now is take the ends of her hair and simply just tuck it in to the updo and secure it with a bobby pin. So now, after this we're gon na, do some detailing out, she has a lot of layers in her hair, but I kind of like it because it kind of gives a little a little bit more of an editorial feel. So now I'm just gon na plump them up a little bit and just drape them hide any bobby pins that we need to especially the ones on the sides and then add a little bit of a texturizing product just for a little bit more umph. And just finish it out here all right, so three girls have it it's so gorgeous. All I'm gon na do to detail. It out is just put a little bit of hairspray smooth any flyaways away and now the fun part vegans, because I'm gon na actually start tearing this apart and show you guys how just kind of pulling it massaging the hair out will make it a little bit More different feel and more editorial, so this is my favorite, so we've made it all beautiful now we're just gon na rough it up so we're just gon na seriously just pull on it rough it up just a little bit. Some of our layers are coming out, but I'll just go ahead and tuck those in and bobby pin it, and you can tell that it's creating this really big knotted style. At this point, it's really really fun, and now I'm just gon na take the palms of my hands and just rough up this texture. Now, I'm just gon na pull the front out to make it really really big. So this would definitely be more of a runway style. You can see that it pulled out our hair, I'm just gon na add a couple more bobby pins, just to finish up with the loose ends and that's basically it it gave it a really fun kind of full updo. So I hope you girls enjoyed it and for tutorials every single week. Please subscribe to my channel and feel free to check me on Instagram Twitter, Facebook. I doubt it all. KTKitty91: Love love love this hairstyle! I just watched the other video of you about loop faux hawk and wished my hair could be a bit longer to to it, then I found this one. Awesome!!! Definitely will try it. Thanks for sharing your amazing technique with us, Jenny. XO

Leona Pas: Just finished this in my own hair for a wedding today! Kept it more sleek but it's easy enough to do on your own hair if you use an alligator clip or two and tip your head down :) so happy with it! Super edgy and fun!

Patrick Jeffrey: This was super easy! I've never done hair and my lady decided she wanted me to do hers today. I started over once since I can't put in a bobby pin to save my life, but I think the end result looks fantastic! Thanks for the videos! I'm looking forward to trying out more styles and learning the multitude of braids that are out there!

Maegen Guillory: Hi! i absolutely love this hairstyle and im going to try to recreate it for my formal. i was wondering if using elastics instead of bobby pins to secure the sections before you knot them would make it hold longer because i have incredibly think hair or if that just wouldn't work at all. Thanks in advance!

Aimee Tarling: This is perfect to emulate Nina Dobrev's People's Choice Awards Look - goo.gl/DqZNmJ

Ginger Petrini: Could’ve been a really great video if you could just lose that stupid music I like to hairdo

Silvia Osorno: I like so much the way she do the hairstyle but in my opinion is not that great the thing she do at the end "the messy part"

Alex Flores: Sam villa did this exact technique awhile back

Teresita Garcia: do u really have to do that little hump??

Jocelyn Milan: Todo iba bien hasta que se alucinó bien gacho al final, se emociono la estilista jajajaja y arruinó el peinado

y zee: ur modle is very prety

Teresita Garcia: never mind..

choua moua: it is difficult

chikkime: Hi! I must say that I like the hairstyles you make, but can I suggest that you try to cut out the unnecessary words such as "like", "basically" etc? If you could cut back on the talking that would help as well. Not to offend you, but during the tutorial it would be great if the focus could be on the hairstyle and not you talking all the time! It would make it a lot more pleasant to watch.Thank you, I hope you take this in a good way as it's only meant as a suggestion. For the time being I am muting your videos when I watch them, which I am sure isn't what you are aiming for.

Lauren Linke: Does anyone else feel like she's kinda rough on her clients/models? Cheese n rice. If I did this to my usual go to girl, she'd prob cry. (Then again, she's got a super tender head...) Lol

arunopriya de: what crap is this ???

Dom: And boys :)

Rita Rani: V.
