This is a twist style that I have been wearing a lot over the past year or so, and it really is easy to do once you have the hang of it It is a quick updo that takes literally 5 minutes or so!

You simply have your hair down, then sectioning it out into three even sections {without parting}. Then twist each strand until it coils upon itself and then bobby pin it firmly. Do this to the remaining two sections for a hairstyle that is sure to get compliments.

If accessorized appropriately, this would be a great prom or homecoming hairstyle, or a great flower girls style as well! Enjoy!

-Hi, I'm Mindy from Cute Girls, Hairstyles. And the hairstyle we're going to do this morning. I'M calling triple twisted pin. And it's really easy.. All you need is your hair and some bobby pins, -- and fun at the same time.. Ok, so I just started by just brushing her this morning. And I teased it just a tiny bit through here -- might be able to tell. Just so. It adds a little bit of fluff when I pull it back.. So I'm going to take her hair and divide it basically into three equal sections. Just try to feel until you feel like they're, fairly even. And I'm intentionally not parting it at the top. Like I don't want to show the parts harsh parts., So I'm just kind Of finger parting, it just wherever it feels like it's going to naturally lay the best today.. So once you have your sections, take it. And I'm just going. Pin these out of the way for now. So off to the side.. Take the first section. You just start. Twisting. And again, just if you see little things that are bugging, you just finger comb them., It's supposed to be a really soft hairdo, so don't pull too tight. Twist twist twist.. When I get the twist going, I just kind of twist them into sort of a little bit of a knotted Cinnabon type of look., And I just mess with it until I like the way it looks. And then start popping pinning.. So if you don't like the way that one is laying just undo it. And redo it. And I just kind of pin until it feels like it's going to be fairly secure., So then I go to the next section. And you'll notice that on that one, I Was twisting to the left. On the middle one I'm going to twist to the left again., But when I come to this one, I'm going to twist to the right., So you'll have two going one direction and one going the opposite: direction. Doesn't matter which way you Twist them really. One trick. I have learned if you twist so it's down into a strand, then put your finger and just kind of rope it around your finger. I'll. Do it again, so you can see it better. Twist finger and then just kind of twist with your finger until you get that little knotted look. Kind of helps twist it up., OK, bobby.! I like that one., This one's a really fun one for like the day. You'Ve worn your hair a couple days and you don't want to wash it., But it's kind of got like hairspray from a day or two, so you just pull it back into this., But it's a really good. And every time I ware like this, I have people Stop me and ask me: how did you do your hair? Ok, so I'm twisting the opposite direction of the last two on this one. Again, I'm just going to twist it. Take my finger. And wrap it. And pin.. Now this one, you might think it's just one for little girls to wear, but you would be sadly mistaken.. I wear this one all the time on my hair. Love, it., One more for that middle one. And there you go. It's just kind of three little twist in pinnies on the back., And this is what it looks like on her hair. And then I have it Done on my hair as well, this morning., So this is what it looks like on mine. And my hair isl. Only probably this long right now. And I just layered it like a ton., So I'm managing, even with short, hair and tons of layers, to pull my back into the twist and kind of get them bobby pinned in place. And that, basically, what it looks, like. And You'Re ready to go for the day., Say: bye. -Bye

Eve Sheppard: This tutorial looks so easy to do. Can't wait to try it on my 4 year old! : )

Fancylooks: I love to see how your daughter stays still and lets her mummy do the video! She looks very proud of your work, and certainly she looks cute and pretty, I love her funny nose, she is a cuttie! I guess my girls will just complain with every new hair pin I put on them. Congratulations, the hair do is great.

Mama Moe: So very cute!! Going to try this on my daughter for free dress day tomorrow :) thank you mindy!!

MrsNeenieChick: Hi! Thanks so much for this hairstyle! I have worn it a few times, and it always looks elegant, delicate, sweet, and (secretly) easy. I am encountering one problem every time I do it, though, and I was hoping you could help me work it out. Once I've twisted and pinned the two side buns, the hair on the corresponding side of my head poofs out. I assume I'm not pulling the buns tightly enough, but I don't know how to pull them taut and still leave them loose? Any advice is much appreciated! :)

Jamie Hensley: I just really love your videos! I've been wanting to learn how to fix my Lil girls hair different cute ways. I don't like to let her wear her hair down during the Schl year. So, all your up-do's will help. Thx for sharing! Can't wait to try them on her! :))

Carol: I love it! Thanks to you I was able to do my little cousin's hair while I visited her. Every day she would come home saying that her friends from school were complimenting her hairdo. I am a big fan of yours!

Blanca B.: I did this on myself yesterday and it came out really nice! :)

nellmenefeelibey: Oh man, she's so patient. When I was that age and my mom would try to get me to sit still so she could do my hair, I would squirm like no other. I guess that's why I spent 90% of my childhood with my hair in a super messy ponytail.

lisa marie: Ahhh i love this one!:)

SeeMeNaTuRaL: Love it!

Blanca B.: Aww, super cute! Can't wait till my little girl has enough hair. Lol she is only 9 months with uneven hair.

Kathleen Harris: Can you use rubber bands instead of bobby pins?

Fancylooks: @bradleasays I don't think my comment is negative on my children, it is just the truth, I wish they would let me do a different hairdo on them other than the usual ponytail, they get bored just by waiting for me to do any hairdo, they move all the time... it is not negative, it is just how they are. But I agree with you, in case my comment was negative on my children, I should better not write it down!

Mindy McKnight: @SoCrazyInLove13 Comments like yours are exactly why I do this! It was to make mornings easier for moms, but to also allow girls to receive compliments all day which, in turn, helps boost her confidence. Thanks for sharing!

Robin Casey Films: wow! I'll wear this in camp on november XD

kattg0614: Very cute :0)

Terine Seashore: looks awesome

Mindy McKnight: @Curlcraz21 I have major layers right now and it still works. You may have a few more stray hairs and require a few more bobby pins, but you can get it to work.
