Hey guys happy new year, happy 2022! Isn'T that crazy another new year? I hope everyone had an amazing christmas. I went back home to indiana and visited family came back to florida, and now we are all sick, so that is lovely but we're all in good spirits. And today i want to show you a fun video that i saw on tick. Tock i'll show some screenshots here, but i'm not going to show the video for copyright purposes. So it's really simple: you're just going to create like a half up, bun and then you're going to kind of roll it in and then just put your hair tie around it and it creates a really cute little bun. So this should work for most hair types. If you have super thick long hair, this probably isn't going to work for you, but hair like mine, fine, hair, medium length, short hair. This should be a good hack for you, so let's go ahead and get started so for this hairstyle pretend like you're doing just a regular ponytail pull all of your hair through once pull all of your hair through twice on the third time. Just pull your hair through, but not all the way, so it creates a little bun like mine, and you should have ends hanging out like i do now. You'Re going to take your hair tie and you're going to pull it down about an inch next step. We'Re going to create an opening right above our hair tie like we're doing a topsy tail, then we're going to flip our bun and our ends up in that hole we created, but we're not pulling it all the way through we're just kind of tucking it into That hole so tucking everything the best that we can into that hole. Now you should have two little sides on each side of the bun that you can just kind of pull together and we're going to pull those two sides together and just kind of hold them there. While we take our other hand and we get our hair tie and we pull our hair tie over our bun and those two sides, and it should end up looking something like mine, so if you have any gaps in your bun, you can just kind of take Your hair and spread it around like i'm doing with mine. Also, if you have ends sticking out up at the top, you can just tuck them back in or wrap them around the bun. You could always pinch and pull the top of your hair for some texture. Pull out some hair make it a bit messier, but i like how formal it looks i like how sleek it looks. You could always add some like hair, gel and slick it back even more, but it's very formal, looking almost like a military bun or like a sock bun. So let me know what you guys think if you try it, let me know if it worked for you. Let me know what kind of hair you have. I am definitely curious to hear so that is it. This tutorial was so easy. I think this is cute and very wearable. Let me know what you guys think. Let me know if you try this fun. I kind of like it slicked back without any hair hanging out, but you could definitely pull some hair out loosen it up a little bit pinch and pull to add some texture. But this is different for me, so i'm going to rock this today. So let me know what you think of this in the comments below. If you give this a try, don't forget to like subscribe. Please subscribe. Emily Craig: Happy New Year! Thanks for the great video. I've used several of your updo styles over the Christmas holidays and they looked great so thank you I have dyed my naturally light blonde hair for the first time in my life at age 38 and its bright red!!!

mrsmonizteach: Looks great on you!! I love it! Think I may wear it like this today

KERRY DYER: I'm 58 & havnt had long hair since school. Grew it out during covid lockdowns. Thankyou for your tutorials & this one in particular is so easy & quite chic.

Flora C: Happy New year! Hope you and your little ones get well soon! I have long, thick, wavy hair. Really frizzy but that’s my fault I guess from dying to blow drying. Currently trying to fix that, using better products and changing my routines and all. One of my resolutions is to NOT use any heat on my hair for the next 6 months. So I’ll be making A LOT of buns and braids until the summer! Wish me luck! I followed your very clear instructions and managed to do this bun (I tried it like 4 times but in the end it worked!). Not a TikTok person, I’ve seen this “hack” on YouTube though, on Another Braid and a few Japanese hairstyle channels I follow.

Michelle Aguayo: I love this! Great idea ❤️

7027CATHY: Happy New Year to you and your family. Sorry to hear you are all sick, I hope you all get better soon. I want to let you know I have done 6 out of 8 of your holiday hairstyles over Christmas break, there was one I couldn't do 'cause the length of my hair, it was the last hairstyle of your 1st tutorial before Christmas. My hair is down to my backside but not thick, not fine, it is thin , straight, with a bit of body, so some hairstyles I can achieve because I can roll my long thin hair and do certain hair buns. I love this hairstyle, I will try it, I have tried hairstyles that I thought wouldn't work because of my length, but my hair is thin and folds well and have worked, so will see with this one.

Phoebe Harris: Looks amazing looks pretty I love the way u do all these different hair style looks nice x

Nishad Shaikh: That was pretty easy yaa thanks dear I tried it turned out the same my hair r not as long as urs I have medium short hair but still this hair style worked yippee

Cecile Walker: Happy New Year, Lainey!

Arras10: Definitely gives the formal look! Not a bad look though depending on the occasion!

Hermine Nazari: Happy new year beautiful lady

lilwoodsprite: You remind me of Lady Gaga with your hair pulled back like that and your eyeliner. Very pretty!

Windflower Rainstorm: why not twist a regular coiled bun? since thats how it looks and protects from damage?

K Stee: OMG the 90s called and wants its "updo hack" back LOL

Vicky White: Happy New Year! Thank you for the video.

Hiruni Liyanage: I have a dry and a bit curly hair! When I do these hairstyles it ends up having knots and urghhh hating my hair literaly

Hailey Saalfrank: Nice job. I wanted to like this more than I did, next!

Mrs. Marks: You must have brought some of that warm Florida weather to the Midwest, just before Christmas.. it was beautiful. Yes.. lots of people sick. Take it easy.. get your family back to feeling better.

jamba jackson: Ur so Beutiful love the bun with the scrungie i. Dont use hair ties or rubber bands when ur hair is down do u ever do sleek middle part. Tuck ur hair perfectly behind both ears t love that style i do itcall the time with big hoop earrings to finish the look
