Jlo Inspired Hairstyle Using Knappy Hair Extensions

Everybody, it's me mags and today we're doing this JLo inspired messy kind of beach waves, half up half down hairstyle I've been looking at this hairstyle for a while. So I wanted to achieve this. Look myself using KR s, hair group, not so nappy, clip-in extensions, and I have them right here - and I am very very pleased with these. You guys, so I'm gon na show you guys exactly how I use them. As you can see, these are the not so nappy clip-ins and you can see it still kind of has quite a bit of texture. This is the glam set, so I do get a lot more volume than the regular set, and you know that's what we're going for. We got big kind of voluminous hair. As you can see, it still has quite a bit of texture in there, which is really good. For you know a natural girls or us relaxed girls. You know they're easy to blend. The clippings are really really sturdy, which I was like really happy about and I was able to brush through and comb through the extensions pretty nicely. So what I'm doing to begin to start the prep I'm going to straighten them a little bit because I am relaxed. So I need to get rid of a little bit of this texture just so it can better match my relaxed texture that I have and, as you can see, it straightens really really well. It has amazing shine and when I got these clippings, they smelt like strawberries like it smells so good, and that was a big plus for me. So, as you can see, it is straightened really nice in comparison to how they naturally come. So you can wear it straight or you can wear it's wavy or you can wear it in its natural. You know texture, as you can see here, so you can also color these so they're easy to manage. I really really like using these, so I'm gon na just go ahead and straighten the rest of the pieces in total. I believe I have ten clippings in this set, so I straightened all of the clippings before applying them to my hair and, as you can see, even though it did straight in it still has quite a bit of texture in there, which is also really good, because I am eight weeks post relaxer, so my hair isn't completely like you know, fresh as far as straightness, so what I did do to kind of match the texture of the clip ends. I did do a twist out, maybe three days before, and I moisturized instilled my hair the night before so I have my hairs quite moisturize with a little bit way down. So I wanted to have this texture in my hair to better match the texture of the clippings that I have here. So what I'm gon na do is I parted my hair half in half of my head. You know one for the pony Sun, one for the back and I'm gon na section off a small portion of my hair in the back to prepare to put in the first clip. So this is the clip in that has. I think this has three clips in the back, so that goes towards the nape and they're really easy to use you just snap. Those bad boys in and they're in and I'm just gon na go ahead and proceed to. You know put all the clips in it. Only took me about what 10 minutes just put all the clips in and they were really really sturdy like I didn't, feel uncomfortable. Nothing felt like it was tugging on my real hair or nothing. So you can see it kind of has some texture and you can see where my hair is. You know texture too so trying to blend it in as best as I can, because you know I am relaxed. So that's that, but I can tell if I bored a blow dry, my hair. It would match completely now I'm gon na add some waves, I'm using my new waver. This one is a one-inch wave barrel and you can see. I have some kind of like loose. You know waves here, so I'm gon na do this on all of the clip in here, and this actually matches my color pretty nice. I thought I was gon na have the color on, but I didn't so. I'M gon na take some small pieces here and in section off the larger section and I'm gon na use the new me barrel and I'm just gon na wrap it around, but I'm not gon na. Take it all the way to the end, because I want that beachy kind of effortless kind of messy look and I should see I kept the bottom straight, but I didn't keep my hair around the barrel for too long, because I don't want too tight crispy look. I just want it kind of like messy and soft in a way, so I did that piece. I'M gon na take small section and then I'm gon na work on the next section and I'm gon na curl my hair in different directions to get that kind of effortless kind of wavy. Look. I don't want all of the curls going in one direction. So this one is gon na go backwards, and then you know I'm just gon na alternate back and forth between which direction I curl and I'm gon na take different sizes. Also so now, as you can see, that means that that was that and I'm gon na go ahead and proceed to curl the rest of the section like I did the rest of my hair. So just you know, I kept it over about ten seconds and release the curl and, as you can see, it's not too crunchy. It'S really soft and I'm gon na put some Sebastian hairspray on there just to hold the curls a little bit and you can see it looks really good. I really like these, I feel like they blend as far as color really really well too. Now, just as you can see, the ends are straight. So that's the look. I want to go for him so now I'm gon na work on the top half of my hair, which is where the ponytail is gon na be, and you know these are just so easy to put in. I didn't really have strategic parts or anything. I just kind of use my fingers and pop them bad boys in like that, because I am a couple of weeks post, so this look is great as far as texture, because I don't really have to worry about. You know like ironing my hair or flat ironing. My edges, I didn't really have to do with none of that, because the clippings are textured, which is a big plug, so I'm just gon na go ahead and continue to pop those in these are all going in one direction backward. So that's how I'm gon na put my points on them and I'm gon na work on, like my little edge things. I don't know to call these from a little wispy like j.lo has so I'm gon na use the barrel and just kind of touch up. My edges just a little bit and I'm just gon na you know kind of manipulate my little edges here and I'm gon na use my brush and brush up the top half and they're really easy to work with, like I said before, nothing was tugging at my Hair at all and I'm gon na use the ouchless hair tie and just gently wrap my hair up in this ponytail. You know just wrap it around a couple of times but make sure it's not too tight like that, and it's very smooth. They lay really flat the clippings, which is a big plus, because I'm gon na start doing that Connie, tails and things like that for the spring and summer. So these are really convenient for those kind of styles, so they not just proceeded to. You know wrap my hair around the barrel again because you know we need to curl the top half and I just alternated the directional where the curls are going, and you know this look. Is it really something? That'S like super perfect, but it just kind of looks like oh, I just you know through my hair up and a half up, half down style girl and you know I'm ready to go so. I'M gon na curl my little wispies, but I'm not gon na keep the heat on there too, too long and I'm gon na release it just to get some shape to my whispies there and I'm doing the other side like that. Just to give some, you know character and I'm just gon na spray, my hair with again the sebastian hairspray just to get a hold only some of those curls. Now for my edges, I'm going to use the Veda control paste and I'm gon na use a very, very small amount of this. Because again I don't want the look to too perfect and to too slick I want to just kind of like easy breezy. You know, and I'm just applying that to my edges and this stuff holds really really well, especially the fact that I am a couple weeks posts and my hair is air dried I feel like it holds pretty well. I just want more of a neat appearance versus like silky and sweet. You know so I'm just gon na intertwine, my hair, making sure that looks, neat or neater rather like that and I'm just gon na make sure both sides are where they need to be. So now what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na run my fingers through the curls, because I don't want them so defined. So I'm just using my fingers just to loosen up some of those curls and I'm gon na go in with a brush just a little bit to loosen up some of the the waves that I have there just to make them a little more loose. A little more soft and a little bit messy because that's the look I'm going for, and that is pretty much the look really easy, really effortless and you know just something fun to do. I feel like I'm gon na, be wearing this style a lot during the spring and summer and it was just really cute. I like this hairstyle, I haven't worn a half-up half-down in years, so this was really refreshing for me and I absolutely love these clippings.
