♪, I want you to show me ♪ ♪ How to get to know ♪ ♪ Someone like you ♪ ♪, Someone like you ♪ ♪. I want you to know me'cause. I know that ♪ [ Narrator ], So it's that time of year again guys. Prom season is upon us. And to get all of you in the mood this year. We thought that we'd bring you three red carpet worthy hairstyles that you can rock to your prom.. Don'T forget to hit that `` subscribe'' button and to give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it and let's get straight into it.. First up is an elegant. Updo. Up-dos are perfect for prom, and it's not every day that you get to wear a style. That'S so elegant and pretty., And this one is actually surprisingly easy to do. Start by brushing your hair back and create a middle part.. Next section off your hair behind your ears to create a horizontal part and backcomb the roots and spray with hairspray.. And it's here that you want to clip in a three clip: weft. Section off your hair, just above this backcomb and hairspray again and clip in another three clip: weft. Repeat this process, one last time and clip in a full clip weft.. Once all of your wefts are secure, use the end of a comb to section off the hair at the front of your face. Brush your hair back at the crown, then take small sections, backcomb underneath and set in place with hairspray.. This will give you so much. Volume. Brush the hair down to smooth and neaten. It then gather the hair at the back of your head and pin in place. Now take all of your hair and tie it into a ponytail.. You want to get this as neat as you possibly can. So take your time. Once this is done, tie a clear, elastic halfway down the hair and tie another elastic at the end of the hair.. But you want to create a small loop with this hair. So just don't pull all the hair through. On the last turn of the elastic., This will make things easier when you get to the next step. Now you want to take this ponytail and roll it from the ends up towards your head.. If any hairs poke out during this, you can fix them. Later. Then, pull on the hair slightly to create a chignon and pin this in place with bobby pins.. Just a heads up, you'll need quite a few.. Remember those sections at the front Smooth the first section towards the back of your head using a comb and bring it over the top of the chignon and pin in place.. You can pull out pieces of hair at the front for a more relaxed, vibe. And just repeat on the other. Side. Fix everything in place with hairspray and you're done.. A super elegant, updo, that's way easier to do than it looks. ( upbeat, music, ). Next up braided boho waves., We've seen so many celebrities incorporate braids into their red carpet, hair and for good reason.. They spice up any hairstyle and make it your own. To start. You want to clip in your Milk + Blush set., I'm wearing the classic seamless set in the length 16-18 in the shade slayer, which has been toned slightly to match the cool tones in my hair.. Now it's time to start curling so section your hair. However, you like to do so. And to create these boho curls. You want to grab your curling wand and point it down towards the floor, leaving a couple of inches out at the end. Leave the hair on the wand for a few seconds then drop the curl into your hand. And for a more relaxed look pull on the Ends of your hair to loosen the wave. Repeat this throughout all of your hair, alternating the way you curl., So all the curls. At the front of your face, you're going to curl away from your face., Then the next curl you're going to curl towards then away. Then towards. And just repeat this all over.: This will give you a really nice textured, look and will give you lots of volume as well. Leave the curls to cool for a few minutes, then brush them out with a loop brush. And now for the braids.. Take a section at the part and create a Dutch braid incorporating hair only from the hairline.. You can do any braid you like at this stage, but we think Dutch braids really pop and are perfect for prom. When you get to your ear, secure with an elastic and pin in place behind your ear. And now with any good braid. You want to loosen it up and thicken it so just pull on the outsides. And repeat on the other side.. This look is perfect if you want to rock that more relaxed bohemian vibe at prom and is really easy to do. And last, but most definitely not least, big and bouncy prom curls.. If there's a hairstyle that screams red carpet glamour, it's these bouncy curls.. To start, you want to flip your part to the opposite side, to which you usually wear it, and this will create lift at the root. And for even more lift take sections of the front backcomb underneath set with hairspray and smooth over for super gorgeous volume.. Now, usually, when I curl my hair, I work from the bottom up., But for this technique you want to work from the top down., So grab your curling wand and start curling. Your hair away from your face. Then drop the curl into your hand, roll it towards your head and pin in place.. This is called the pin curl method and it ensures that your curls stay intact all night long and is super bouncy. You're, basically just gon na repeat this all the way throughout your hair until all of your hair is rolled and pinned.. When you get to this stage, you want to wait a good 10 minutes to make sure that your curls set and they're completely cool., And then you can take out the clips. Once all of the clips are removed, don't get too excited.. You want to wait again for just a few minutes, just to make sure that the curls are 100 % cool. Once you're certain that your curls are cooled. You want to take your loop brush and brush them out gently., And that's literally, all there is to it. This is such a glamorous look for prom and will definitely turn heads when you show up.. Momma Bear Of 5: All three hair styles are amazing, however the big and bouncy style number three is my favorite! So simply and elegant that is gives a “ naturally beautiful” type look. These would be perfect for my friend who is on her third session of chemo. Helping her feel more confident during the thinning hair phase would mean the world to her. She has beautiful long full hair that is sadly thinning due to treatment while ultimately she will lose her hair I know extensions would help her confidence both during this phase as well as when she kicks cancers ass and her hair grows back in❤️
