(How to Trim Hair Extensions) into Your Existing Hairstyles

---How to Trim Extensions into Your Existing Hair. Extensions are a fun way to add some length or thickness to your hair instantly. However, it is important to trim the extensions so that they will match your existing hair and look as natural as possible. After you have trimmed them, mark them as you take them out so that they can go back into the spot that they were trimmed for. If you don't put them back in the same order or place, they will no longer be the right length and will not blend with the natural hair. The extensions in this video were purchased from Sally Beauty Supply. They have a great selection that is also affordable.

Hi, I'm we're Donna for boys and girls hairstyles calm. Today I have Mackenzie there birthday kids might meet anyway um what she has done. We thought this would be a really good video. She has bought extensions and, if you can see up here that the clip on - and you just stick them in and you clip them on - underneath your hair, okay. So what she wants to do is this is her top layers. So you can see that they're kind of here and their length is down into here. So our extensions are clear here. So what we're gon na do is we're gon na bring that link about up to here. So it's not what do you say as noticeable? So it's not like really short and then really long so for extensions. I was just gon na show, yet how I'm gon na trim those up since her hair. The extensions are so long over my salon chair. It makes the uneven so I'm going to show you if I sit on the chair and I stutter in front of me and then, like I say you can see those layers into there. I'M gon na hold my comb. I'M gon na hold my comb right where I want that later, okay and I'm gon na come in to start right there, I'm talking about comb. Okay, I'm gon na hold that there and I'm going to come along with my scissors on top of that comb. So just make sure you hold this comb steady like that, so it doesn't move when you go to to cut along the top of the cone. Okay, all right now on this side, same thing, just gon na bring it all back. Let me turn you this way. Go ahead: okay, again, just hold that straight down. Okay, then you can just we're gon na check these sites the sites. Well, let's see that's like the tiny bit long. The reason you guys might like to let it just stay like straight down like this and the reason why I don't like to hold it like out like this cuz, if I hold it out - and I take it this way when I let go with this fake Hair you're really gon na see chalk lines, so this part out here would be shorter than the bottom and you'd let go, and sometimes that's why it seems choppy. So that's why I'd love to just hold it straight down. There'S little pieces down! You just take your scissors across and just kind of, even that out okay, so that is the length on that. I think what I'm going to do is. It seems a little full here. Think I'm just going to take this out and just take my scissors and just barely take some of that off, so it won't take claim it's just going to take some of that bulk, so it just blends these layers with this length just open and shut your Shears just very softly, so I'm going to take a lot. It'S just going to take enough to just take a little bit of that bulk out just so it blends really well and she bought these at Sally's. How much were they yeah they're about $ 80? Without the cliffs anyway, and that so they're more reasonable for people and they're really easy to just pick up your hair and then clip in so we just want to do a video on that and let you know how to just cut your own hair with those Extensions, if you want to go, try them up. Sally'S peace like thanks.

Debbie Giori: Hi Radonna -Love all of your videos! So simple, yet informative and easy to follow. (would love to see a video on someone with one length hair who only wants the bottom couple inches layered). Thanks!

Manae Deaner: 101 in cutting hair extensions....YOU NEVER CUT BLUNT LINES.

Kristi Johnson: Incredible video, love it and great idea to blend the bottom of the fake hair to match her hair so you don't notice where her hair stops and they begin! Love all your videos, your #1 fan from Ohio, Kristi xxoo

Julie Morrison: Thank you so much for this! Exactly what I was lookin for!!

Lillian Lewis: ZALA's actually feel and weigh like my natural hair, unlike some of those synthetic blend brands, its easy to tell from how dense they are that they're the real deal <3

Patrice A. Cox: So I recently decided to go blonde (from dark brown) for some god forsaken reason! Anyway it was such a disaster and I ended up having to cut my hair really short due to the damage. I honestly felt so bare because I have had long hair my whole life so I tried hair extensions from ZALA, and I am sooo glad I did. I have the 24 inch tapes which i love so so much. The quality is really lovely and even my hair dresser said they were the best quality she had used. Can't thank ZALA enough haha

Maiylo08: This looks amazing. I cant believe how many different techniques/tips you know I wish I lived in Utah and from the UK its a little far to come but one day may be x

Carla West: Decided to try out ZALA after seeing Sammy Robinson's review and omg I am so happy I did. I also got the cosmo curling wand which I love, thanks ZALA for getting my hurr so thick and long

Abdul Rehman Shaikh: Luv this look chicka!! You would look so amazazzzzing with ZALA's Quad wefted set, it will double your volume and change your entire look!

Boys And Girls Hairstyles: We will try to get one of those videos up as soon as possible! THANKS...

Jenny Gonzalez: Then what was the point of having hair extensions if you're going to chop the length off?!

Boys And Girls Hairstyles: THANKS SWEETIE!!

LipstickLulu: Its so choppy at the end??? How is that blending in?

Katie Rickard: Definitely should have been blended with a razor the ends look very chopped and slightly longer at the sides needed some razoring and then actuall thinning scissors put through the entire length and that was a lot to cut off extensions what's the point of getting extensions if there being half cut off they look ok but definitely could have been executed a lot better bit disappointing

Emma S: Even the slightest V-line would have looked so much better... Such a shame

benemanoo: and then at home she clips one clip a little bit different, than you did here, and her hair is gonna look a hot mess.

David Hickford: That looks absolutely dreadful!

Boys And Girls Hairstyles: Thanks! That is a ways to come ha ha!!!

Henriett81: OMG!!!!!OMG!!!!OMG!!!!!

TheUberDoll: What is the point of paying for lenght and then cut it out? It's just stupid, honestly. And the way the clips were put in... I cringed so much when I saw them under..... Just no. No and no.

Greenwood&Reid: Please get proper training, the hair looks really bad.
