This hairstyle is great for holding back hair for gymnastics, dance, figure skating, sports, as well as an everyday style if you have a little girl with baby fine (thin) hair or short hair. You could finish this style with a ponytail, bun, pigtails, or by leaving the hair down.

Hey everyone today we're going to be doing a toddler style, and I started this just by making a part here on the top of her head in the middle. And then I've made another part along the back and then two more along the sides. And then I've split that in half so that there's four little sections here and then I'm just going to put each of those sections into a tiny elastic these elastics that I'm using our goody brand they're called goodie outlets and it's the smallest ones they make. I like that they're tiny, because her hair is pretty thin, and so you only need to wrap it around a few times you so at this point you should have four little ponytails on top of her head and then before I do this next part, I'm going To spray the two ponytails in the front down with a little bit of water and then I'm going to take these two ponytails and cross them and then cross them again so that it forms a little twist there in the middle. And then I'm going to connect. These to the ponytails in the back, so I'm pulling this one where I need it to go, and then I'm going to let this one loose and it'll loosen up for a minute. While I attach this one and I'm just putting an elastic right over the top of the one that was already there and then I can pull this one over and it will tighten back up and then I'm just going to add one more elastic. On top of the one, that's there so at this point you could be done. You could leave it just like that. I'M actually going to pull everything back into a ponytail before I do that, I'm going to spray some water so that we can smooth this all out and then for this ponytail, I'm just not going to pull the hair. All the way through on the last time, through the elastic, so I'm pulling it through about half way and then I'm just going to kind of spread this out, and that is the finished hairstyle. You

As for people asking how to get kids to sit still, it depends on the kid and the day. Some days she'll eat, color, or watch TV. Other days, I just have to work quickly and move with her head. You just have to find what works for you.

Princess Hairstyles: Actually, we usually just cut them out or use a "seam ripper" and break them when we are done with the hairstyle. They are pretty cheap, so I don't feel too bad about not reusing them. ;)
