FTC Disclaimer: I've purchased everything featured in this video myself.

Hey guys long time no see so here's a tutorial for the wedding hairstyle that was requested from my length check number two video so start out with wet hair. My hair was dry, so I had to be wet it in the shower. I'M going to part the hair to sections and we're going to comb it out into an afro. I massage a bit of shea butter onto the wet hair, to lock in the moisture and just begin to comb it out section by section. Shanaya hair is all combed out and into a wild afro makeup art wherever you'd like it on your head. I always part in a diagonal from the right side to the left, but just make sure it's a really clean part, and it should go pretty far back on your head. Now we're going to use the lovely flaxseed gel for the style, it's so gooey. So take a big sized amount in your hand and begin to apply it to each side. Smoothing the sides down more is more so don't be shy with the flash gel I've never experienced white flakes with my gel. Some people have, but I haven't so I go really heavy with it to get great definition, you want the ends in the back to stay in its afro texture, without definition, so it looks really puffy so just apply the gel to the front and crown of your Head now at the ends at all, now you want your hair to be wet where the gel is so we'll smooth down easily. So if your hair is dry, just rewedding with water, I use a lot of gel so smooth it down as much as you can. With your hands and we'll move on to the next step, grab a bobby pin and a brush. Okay, guys a word on the brush. I'Ve had this brush since I was relaxed it's one of those bore hair, bristle brushes that you can buy at any beauty supply. These are not good for your hair. I don't use it often only when I have like a slicked back style that needs to look perfect, which is about you know three or four times a year. So please don't use these often they will pull out your hair. If not used correctly so now we're going to start the smoothing process with wet hands, smooth back one side and stop Midway behind the ear we're going to take the bore, hair, bristle brush and smooth back the section gently stopping behind the ear notice that I'm not Brushing back and forth with the brush flat on my head, I'm only using the side bristles to smooth it backwards. We want the least amount of bristles touching our hair at one time so I'll brush it back gently and secure it behind the ear with bobby pins. I use a ton of bobby pins use as many as you need to keep the hair from moving or coming out. Now you use the same, brushing technique moving to the back of your head and towards the opposite side, brushing back gently and securing with multiple bobby pins read what your hair is needed. Do not use this brush on dry hair. Now I'm just reinforcing some sections with more body pins for security. So now we've got a nice and smooth top we're going to enhance the poopy part with a hair pick so holding the hair where the bobby pins are placed so that you don't pull them out. Begin to pick out your puffs, so it creates a perfect circular shape. This will also help show more length, so just pick it out and Pat it into a circle. Now just go back in with more bobby pins to reinforce everything that may have loosened up now. We'Ve got a nice fluffy puff in the back and we'll add some pretty embellishments. These flowers are bought at a seymour, but you can find them at any arts and crafts store or even Walmart. But I find the craft stores have a better selection and they look more realistic, so grab the largest flower and I like to place it on the right side of my head. But you can place it wherever you like. It just make sure it's on a spot where people can see it from the front and the back now I explained in detail on my mini twist style, video, exactly how I attach them to my hair. So you can watch that video. If you want more details, but basically I grab a hidden, petal and place the bobby pin all the way to the inside of the petal. So no one can see it. I do this on both sides. So the little guys I keep the stems attached. So I can just stick them into my hair and I use a bobby pin to secure the stem into place. The smaller flowers are various sizes, so I place them along the line of the puff, starting with the largest one near the big petal and they'll get smaller as I move towards the opposite year, and that's it an elegant wedding style for natural hair. I really hope this helps guys until next time, bye,

Nik Scott: this turned out beautiful!

TheDanzy876: Absolutely gorgeous, can't wait to have some event to go to so I can try this style. BTW the flax seed gel is the business, I've never gotten curl definition with commercial gels like I have with flax seed gel. I never like wash and go's because well..........I didn't think my hair curled very well in that state, but with the application of the flax seed gel crazy curls. Thanx again for a great vid!

Yuna Braska: Can we have an updated wedding hair tutorial? :) (Now that your hair is longer <3 )

sunkissedkemi: amazingly beautiful.....and how the flowers just jazzed it up. so beautiful......loving it.

mzlonnied: Very Very Nice!!! I can see myself wearing this a LOT!

liebe2010JC: I absolutely love this video. My German friend send it to me as a suggestion via email for my upcoming wedding. I thought about getting a French Roll/Twist but I really don't like blowing-out my hair or flat-ironing it. I am going to wear a tiara and a veil. My hair tends to be very fuzzy even with gel in it and absorbs the gel quickly (just like cotton) but I haven't tried your gel yet. My hair shrinks up a lot. When I leave my hair out in the back I will end up looking like bozo the clown.

sabreezy12: Yes!! I have been hoping you would do this because I'm getting married in May and I would LOVE to try this style!

ebonyrose316266: So beautiful, I am wearing my hair like this for my wedding.lol lol@ all those small bobby pins but Iove the style. thanks for sharing!

Melisa McDowell: PERFECT wedding style! I'm thinking of using this style for aother special event Im going to soon-I wont use as many flowers Probably just one or two-BUt it will be just as nice! I cant wait!!! TY!

PK7611: Thank you so much I have a friends wedding to go to in January! I'm definitely going to run this by her. She was worried about getting my hair done because well... she is white and I am her only black friend. xD

Denny: I have two weddings I'm in this year, so these will be great styles for me -- even though I'm not the bride.

mjgarner123: Thank you for this tutorial! You look absolutely beautiful! Also thanks for the disclaimers regarding the boar bristle brush. How do you put your hair up for the night after this style? In the bun perhaps.....

Naturally Bison: Very pretty I just posted this video link on a few of my fav natural FB pages b/c people have been asking 4 wedding / special occassion ideas! Needless 2 say they love it!

EboniTrue7691: Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!!! I am going to the craft store...TODAY! I think I will get a few basics for now, but in the Spring...It's ON!

DaMeekz: Omg I love this! More inspiration and umph to get things going. I love watching your vids, your hair came out soo pretty. I love the additional hait embellishments too :-). Adds creativity! I meant to ask, where can I purchase 100% shea butter for my hair? There are so many options in the stores but I don't want to confuse the commercial brands with the stuff that I'll benefit from most. And flaxi gel...where might I get that? Tehe. Sorry for the paragraph lol.

Chareta Canady: Girl you have beautiful thick hair. I love it!

mdprimar: Wow, this is a good idea! I was looking for a style where I wouldn't have to straighten my hair for my wedding! Question though- How do you get your shea butter not to feel sticky when you use it on wet hair? When I use it on my hair, it tends to feel slightly sticky towards my ends. And I just made up some flaxseed gel, but I am scared that the shea butter plus the gel will have my hair crazy. Thanks.

Alena: really pretty, thanks for sharing!
