What'S good, everybody welcome back to the channel with your main girl mel. Today we are going to be short, hair styling, you need it. This is our special guest lucas he's an ass. This is a little he's, a little ass. You know he's gon na little ass as a man, who's been growing out. His hair there's been a lot of awkward phases and we're gon na share with you how to style your hair to get through those stages. But let it be known that this video is not just for men with curly hair. This is for anyone with short hair and just to prove it. I'M gon na get into character, move that's more like it. Okay. I actually think that i did that. Let me know if i should really do that and without further ado that let us begin now coming from a professional with short hair experience, just like styling any hair, it all starts with a wash, so we're going to start with a really good wash. But, besides that, the shape is really important. Lucas here is due for a little bit of a haircut. This isn't a haircut tutorial, but i will share with you how we're just going to kind of adjust the shape to continue to get a graceful grow out this. This could not be a more perfect match. Um, please let them know. I did not force him to wear this shirt that perfectly matches my perfect hair care towel. By the way we wanted to share a giveaway with you guys, because we love you so much and um. These are the best towels ever and in case you did not have the chance to get one. You were not able to get one we're sharing a giveaway. The details will be below any housers. Let us continue. This is a good bib, too yeah baby. The first cut i make is on the side of the head with the scissors, which is going to be the guideline for the rest, which i'm going to use clippers for clipper over comb is the technique. The angle in which you hold your comb helps you achieve a different shape, i'm just holding it square across the side of his head and towards the back, i'm angling it up longer towards the top. That is going to be really easy when you're just looking to maintain your hair in between full shaping haircuts and right here, i'm just connecting the top and sides with the scissors. This is the corner that i'm cutting off, so we don't have a mushroom effect. So this is the shape that we're now working with post haircut to avoid looking too mushroomy. You know you got to pick and choose here. Do you want to wear them, or do you want to hear them? Because, as you can see from the beginning, it's a lot less wide on the side, it's giving less mushroom and more mature, as in you know, i feel like like the bowl. The mushroom bowl can be a little bit more childish. Juvenile soft - dare i say feminine, but not feminine, just soft and warm, and what do you get if the hair has grown out of shape, then that's when it can be really difficult to deal with and for our desired look, since we don't want as much volume On the sides we want more of the party on top. This is what we're looking like, and now we're set up for easy styling starting on wet hair. Yeah. Sorry, are you still laughing? What am i doing? Yeah, first we're going to target the trouble area which is the top and crown where we want to see a lot of volume, we're going to try something new. This is the curlsmith full body, thickening lotion, it's a styling lotion, that's supposed to give over 24 hours long, wear long volume and that's exactly what you want for your long hair, medium volume hair on the top which camera are we looking at? No, no look over there, this one yeah. I was looking at that the whole time. I'M sorry, i'm gon na take a couple pumps, let's smell that, and we want to thoroughly work it into the top of the hair and watch what i'm doing with my fingers. I'M kind of pushing everything into this kind of center mohawk. Look because that's going to help us control the sides in the next phase. So now that we've got our volume product on the top, we'll let that marinate and we're going to go in with our control. Our shape and our hold, this is the verb curl foaming, gel x mains by mel, which works wonderfully on all curl types and hair lengths, you're going to take two pumps, work it into the hands and using the fingers we're going to start to finesse the sides. I actually don't want the sides to stick up. It would be very much ace ventura. We want to start taming this section down, so a very gentle finger. Comb most of the product is in the palm of my hands. So i'm not slathering this right on the roots, i'm not putting too much product at the ends, but i can take more as needed and then continue to go in and shape the sides. And what i usually like to do is like there's a rounded. This rounded motion, you're going to have to go with the curl you'll feel where the curls are going, but for a cleaner look. We do want to kind of slick it back a little bit. So just doing this motion here and i'm going to take the rest of the product on the top now usually when styling the top horseshoe section on long hair, i start at the back and work my way forward, but on short hair we're going to do the Opposite we're going to start at the front hairline and i'm just using my fingers, i'm going to smooth this hair and let it drop take my next section. He does want his hair to fall forward correct. He likes more of a banging of buying and look like. I have going on my indians, both okay, and so when we dry his head is going to be tipped forward. We will be diffusing, but right now we are just going to smooth and drop, and this is just making sure that the hair is going to clump. Well, together, just smoothing it and now shake forward we're going to spot, treat a couple curls by twirling them together with the hair in the direction we want it to lay we'll judge the hair slightly at the root here. Nothing too aggressive. Nothing! That'S going to break up the curl too much just to help kind of lift the hair off the scalp. Alternatively, if you have a hair pick, now is a great time to just kind of lift the hair off the root. He'S a beaut and we're ready to diffuse now post diffusing. This is the cast that lucas is left with. How does it feel fantastic? No, give it a feel. Oh, i said you wanted to report yeah very good, very good, very unique haircut. Oh, how does the cast feel where the styling, the style is great? The hair feels great of me. I got ta say i got about to say well we're gon na we're gon na scrunch up the cast and finish up the styling video here. All we're gon na do is just massage gently, massage the hair to reveal the volume and the chunkiness of the curls. Oh, oh, it looks so full, oh my god, it looks so full. This is the best it's ever felt in a long time. Well, you have another cut in four months. We'Ll say it again. That is a little updated short hair, styling video using just her fingers a couple products for volume, control hold, and this is the final result. Why are you okay? So the hair is going to be undone by the time the outro comes out. You know what you're going to start dirty as [ __, ] and you're going to end frizzy as [ __ ], but in the middle. That'S what counts! It'S going to be fine! The middle will be just fine. Okay, now that your hair has become less engorged because it's been cut, it's not a word, that's not a thing. What are you talking about? Engorging is a word engorged. I thought it was just gorgeous engorged. It'S engorged me cause to swell with blood water or another fluid uh become engorged when you're breastfeeding, either that or easy to access. Like, i said engorge, that's the word of the day. We'Re gon na actually get back into these things. We shake off our our ghettos and jitters, although every little italian boy had this, it looks like it's like a cornet, though it's like a baby yeah

The shaft of my hair forms great curls, but my roots are extremely frizzy. It never matters how much water or product I put at the root, it’s always frizzy.
