Hey guys for today's video, we are going to do a super, easy updo, it's gon na be great for prom. Maybe like a work event. Maybe you have an upcoming wedding you're going to maybe you're the bride. I don't know this is just going to be that, like go-to updo hairstyle, that you don't have to be a professional to do so, let's go ahead, go ahead and get into it. So we're gon na start in the back of our head and just grab a section right in the middle and you're just going to tie it off with a clear elastic and then right above your clear, elastic you're, going to create an opening. I'M going to do this in slow motion, so you're going to create an opening and you're going to flip your ponytail up through that opening and just pull your ponytail all the way through. This is called a Topsy Tail and then just tighten it now. We'Re going to do this two more times so you're going to now grab hair from each side of that Topsy Tail. So a section of hair from my left, a section of hair from my right. Combine it right above that Topsy Tail. Do the same thing tie it with a hair tie and then you already kind of have an opening. So you just have to flip your ponytail up through that opening and then just make sure to tighten it, and you have your second top suit tail, and now we're going to move on to our third Topsy Tail so again grab a section of hair on each Side of that second Topsy Tail and then just bring those sections over that last Topsy Tail tie it with a hair tie and then do the same thing there's a little opening already. So you really, you just have to flip your hair up through that opening and then that'll be your third Topsy Tail. I find that three Topsy tails look the best for this updo so now gather the rest of your hair. That'S left hanging out and you're going to take a hair tie, pull it through once twice and then on the last time, you're just going to pull your hair tight over a little bit to create a bun. Now, with the ends hanging out you're going to split that into two and you're, going to take those sections of hair twist them around your finger and then bring them up over the bun tie them with a hair tie. Then you're going to stick your fingers through the opening of those two sections and then just twist it to the left or the right. It'S going to create an opening, pull that bun through that opening and then just tighten the hair tie. I'M going to straighten out my bun just kind of pinch and pull a little bit and then with my ends that are left hanging out, I'm going to take them and then just wrap them around. My finger, like you, see me doing here and then just shoving them up under the bun and Bobby pinning them. Now, I'm just going to stretch out my buns some more make. It look a little bit more full a little bit more voluminous and then I'm also going to do this up at the top. So I'm just going to pinch and pull all around my head um. I find it's easiest to hold down one side of your head. While you're pinching the other side of your head, so just do this all the way around until you're happy until you have enough volume until you have enough texture until everything looks really nice and yeah. This kind of just personal preference right here. So here's what mine looks like, I think it looks so good, I'm going to show you two other bun options in case you don't like this bun. So here is option number one with this updo and I really like this one. But I'm going to show you two more so here's this one and now on to the next one start with your hair in a ponytail split it into two sections: you're just going to take those two sections and you're just wrapping them around each other. And it's going to form a twist. So do this all the way until you reach the bottom of your hair and I'm not going to tie mine with a hair hair tie or anything, I'm just going to start wrapping that twist around itself and it's going to form a bun. So I'm just twisting around my finger and then once I get towards the ends, I'm just tucking. Those ends up underneath the bun so they're hidden, I'm going to press that bun flat against my head and I'm going to start inserting two bobby pins I found is all I needed so there's one and then I'm putting another one on the other side. And then this is my little twisted bun, which I think looks adorable. So you guys, let me know if you like this one, if you like the first one better or I'm, going to show you a third option, and maybe you like that, one more so for the third option: you're just going to put your hair in a ponytail Divide it into three sections and do a regular three strand braid, where you cross your outside sections over the middle all the way down. I did tie this at the end once I was finished and then I'm just going to take it starting at the ends and I'm just going to roll it up towards the base of my head. Once I reach the base of my head, I'm just gon na plus plus press that button flat up against my head and insert bobby pins. If you don't know how to insert bobby pins, you want the grooves facing down and you just shove that bobby pin on in so then. This is what the braided rolled bun looks like. So I think again, this one is adorable, so I have a hard time. Choosing which one I like the most, but you let me know one two or three which one's your favorite, oh and I thought I would show you real, quick how I take out this hairstyle. So I just take off the clear elastic at the end. It comes right off. I just unravel my braid take off my hair tie. This is the tricky part, but I do have a little hair elastic remover. So I take off my band and kind of stretch it out, and then I take that hair elastic remover and it just cuts it so be very careful, though, if you do this, because obviously you don't want to cut your hair, but I find this is the Easiest way to take out elastics when I do Topsy tails, so that is it. That was the video. I really hope this was helpful. Let me know which bun you liked best with the hairstyle one two or three and yeah. Let me know what other kind of hairstyles you want me to do always looking for requests. Thank you guys so much for watching mwah, bye,

Tamara Morton: I loved them all but #2 is my favorite. Thanks for sharing them. They’re all so pretty!

Sharla Hillis: As usual - you make it all look so simple and effortless but results are beautiful! I think the second one is my fave only because the bun sits closer on the nape.

Jeanette Oliveira: They are all cute, but number 2 is my favorite thank you for this!

Deborah Grant: Love all 3 but I am going to do 3 for my style today. Thank you for helping me feel like I can do this.

Jessie H: Love all of them but for my super long hair I believe the 3rd one would look the best ❤️

Amy B: Love them all but I think 2 is my favorite. Also, I have only just discovered you within the last week or so. I have watched a lot of hair tutorials and you are by far the absolute best and my new (and forever) favorite! I love how you show all the sides so that we know what it will look like from all angles. I love how when you say it’s an easy style, it really is! Because I’m pretty bad at hair but I’ve already done one of your styles and it worked! I especially love how sometimes your hair isn’t absolutely “perfect“ – but it still looks amazing! It really helps me to stop worrying about some random layered piece that might stick out! You are so beautiful! So glad I found your channel!

Glenda Unzicker: They all are beautiful, #2 is my favorite. You are so good at explaining each step. My hair is long but getting on the thin side, some of these that you show won’t work well. I do have a couple of Grand daughters I practice on, they have nice thick hair.

Rebecca Telgenhoff: I enjoy the 3 topsy tails at the top and I can see me doing all three to my hair. This would be very pretty for prom as you said!! I wish I found your channel sooner before my daughter went to prom!

MoonFairy: Love them all. Nice variations. You have amazing talent and amazing hair. ❤

Laura Luchsinger: I liked it as a half up with just the 3 tipsy tails. It also was a cute pony tail ( no bun)

Chrishele Mosley: Hello!! I love the hairstyles you do❤

Jessica Bullock: Love all 3. Absolutely gorgeous

Lorena Ahumada: Number 3 is my favorite. I will definitely try to do that!

Eliza: i absolutely love this lainey shall be recommending it for people who have parties coming up! this is so pretty. think number 2 has to be my fav and shall definitely try it ❤️

ShanaLouise: So adorable! Loved #2

Tammy Freeman: I like 2 the best. Very beautiful. Thank you for your video's ❤️

Rebecca Jaycox: Also I’m trying to find elevated ponytails to switch up my hair game on busier days or warmer days. They could even lean bridal. I’m also looking for easy elegant bridal hair ideas for my friends wedding. She asked me to do her hair & I’m like suuurreee no problem!

xiomara s: They’re all beautiful but in my opinion, number 2 is the most beautiful.

Gracie Lou Freebush: Really cute, the 3rd one, will probably be my pick, just for all day hold!! I did the 3 min. up do from 2 weeks ago, ( I know you may not remember, but I said I'd get back to you) it's doable! First, I tried doing 4 pony tails, but looked like a hot mess! Second try, I inter locked the pins, almost each layer & it worked! Thanks for always being genuine!!

Glo Whitehead: Love them all, thank .-) Xx

Arras10: Love the first one. Makeups on point too

Heather Brady: 2, 1, 3. They are all beautiful!

Amber R: All three are pretty, but I prefer option two!

Amanda Bourland: I liked 2 best, my parents anniversary party is coming up and this style will be perfect. Thank you

L Quin: All 3 are beautiful but the 2nd is my favorite

Brea Ell: They are all cute but I like #2 the best.

RUSTY ROOSTER STUDIOS: I love them all i think i like number 2 the best! btw i love your makeup it is so cute!

Kimberley Chavelle: I love the second one

Crystal: I like all three but I LOVE the second one.

Rebecca Jaycox: 2 is definitely my favorite

Suzanne Ramsay: 2 seems the easiest. Can you do some styles slightly higher? I have a very short neck and that would be best for me. Also, low buns get in the way of coat collars and disintegrate quickly.

Ashley Michelle: Pretty

Susan Henley: I like the twisted bun best.

Amy Shaw: I loved all 3, but I think#2
