How you doing area I'm doing pretty good. Thank you join you true. Oh it is going just handy-dandy and hot outside yeah. I appreciate you coming in it's a pleasure to meet you. Likewise, okay, guess where we start up with my glasses on, I can see what I'm doing. Okay, so we're just gon na do kind of a light trim today, yet light trim just clean it off of it. Hey good good, thick hairs, just more fine and straight so I think I'm gon na do a razor cut on you. Bheema bottles all messed up here. So what's been your favorite part of Prague so far, but besides my place inside your place, I had, I think, yeah, I think away from the Prague one has to be the favorite. Ah, yeah, that's where the sights are, but that's where all the tourists are as well yeah yeah, I was well. This is pretty much Center almost anymore, but when was close to the centre centres, I want to be. Are you going around getting haircuts with all the different barbers? You see how many different techniques and everybody does their own thing. That'S a part of the fun of it yeah. Even my brother and I cut hair differently sibling rivalry. Is you want a beer or whiskey whoa it got in here? I think if I drink a whisky outside I'm, probably Plus how to speak. I have a low tolerance, yeah yeah, I said just get people whiskey there, whether the haircut looks good or not, they'll think it is until they sober up. Everybody leaves happy one way or the other. It'S always interesting to see how the styles and the other countries are to the traditional haircuts. Most of classic American haircuts is softer edges. I mean, of course now with some of the skin fades or put some sharp edges, but look at all those little classic movies and that from the 40s and 50s law that hair was longer than it looked and well let pomade in pomade and it ya have To control it these different ways to do this, sometimes I've got the same guy's hair different in different ways. Each time you pick up one side of the head different than the other side. Well, if you do an a symmetrical haircut actually now, so that yeah, some of the guys we actually almost shave, it - doesn't shave apart and start blending and as longer around the other side. The own purpose, though yeah yeah, but my grandfather started cutting here in about 1914, so our family's done it just over a century, but grandpa said if you get the outline looking good the rest of it pretty much take care of itself. You know, that's a thing. People will notice. First is the outline you can say this is your first time to Prague. There you've been before I've actually been a couple of times, yeah. Well, you know first time was in 93. I was hitchhiking across Europe and kind of hitchhiked down from Berlin to Tehran, yeah yeah. That was a really interesting town like sighs. I was here for about two weeks in 92 and definitely changed a lot in that time, but it still kept a lot of its character. I think they used to have a Levi's commercial back around 90 and it had happened, and I've met some guys here. That told me that they knew people that had even done it think they traded a pair of Levi's for like an old Trabant, where you know one of the Illinois bars actually traded in. You know not the best of cars. That'S pretty good for a pair of jeans that was in 92 yeah 1992. I was here in 92 and not two weeks to stay. I paid mostly with two old pair Levi's, a couple old Harley Davidson t-shirts. I think I was using you know. Each month, yeah and I'll stick out. Scams prices have gone up a little bit since yeah. He had no barbershops here back then you really hadn't had barbershops and Czech Republic and really most of Slavic countries really in Eastern Europe. Since early 1900s - and I hear since the first republic, around 1910 mm-hmm yeah - that's what it was being so difficult for us to to find places that uh have the same history. And you know: there's the same single shot for the same history and stuff that you find in the US. Well, it's getting a little tough email us sometimes to find the barbers. You know, like I said you get a whole new generation coming up in a little bit. It'S not that easy to do. I have experienced people, and the styles are a bit different over here in Europe, although now it's kind of going back to the what the traditional you know, classic American type cuts and the skin fades when I first got here about seven years ago. With lot of these choppy footballer cuts and what they call Czech hair, the mullets yeah yar, the hockey player, set that off you're, probably guys one of that haircut. So when you're not traveling, you got a regular barber when I'm sorry when not traveling when you're not on the road. I you know what my hair had about two months worth of growth on it, so we I let it grow out ready because I'm avoiding scared that it's too short moving, but when we find a place yep, I thought it'd be good to do a video on Do'S and don'ts and a barbershop decent, don't ya? What would you happy it don'ts and I do not touch the barbers tools: okay, yeah! That'S amazing! How many people, let me just take a pair of these and snip here and there and it's like you, know, don't touch your chef's knives. Okay, they just touch not all this years are super expensive, but some of them might be 2000 euros yeah and they, even if they're 5 bucks it's about to you, know people make their living with and for some reason these are footrests, not footstools, and a lot Of guys want to stand out on us yeah, you know and even the heavy-duty chairs you know some of them will tip over, but we have back home in the shop in Atlanta, big, the Belmont, traditional chairs, every one of them the footrest have been broken had To be reweld it I don't want so for those watching, don't step on the chairs and don't tell the barber which tools to use FYI, so yeah good, and then I guess how to find a good barber too. The razoring does a little bit different effect as it slices the hair instead of cutting it blunt, so it makes those n it's kind of lay in you can take bulk out of thicker hair. You can actually add some volume to thinner hair. You know you're on the road. You know it's gon na be you're. Just gon na have to search out a barber, it's hard to find authentic ones, especially depending on the country but uh its first kind of like a restaurant finding getting busy one. But seeing for me a lot of its reviews, I get a lot of business because people see the reviews and that gets that's compared to when the barber shops my grandpa's time and my dad's time was all word of mouth. You know, but now reviews online. You know Facebook, Instagram and then to see. I see a lot of these places with our posting on social media and it's photos they've taken off the Internet's, not even their clients, which it makes me a little suspicious you haven't found. Any of your photos looks somebody else's feet, I'm starting to water. Mark them. That'S the case. You know, but you know now it's kind of likes it because there's a new generation coming up - and you know, there's a lot of passionate. You know young guys and women that are, you, know, learning this but depends on the hairstyle you know in the country and how long it's been going on. It'S not that many places that like do this razor cutting. I learned this from my father when I was about 15, it's starting to make a little bit of a comeback, but it's a different technique. But you know he'll tell pretty quickly in the chair, if the guys any experience, because they should be able to suggest to you what will work for your hair mm-hmm your facial structure, but also I try to match it. You know profession, lifestyle will that person actually use any hair product. Will they take any time on their hair? If not I'll cut it a little bit differently. So what does my head say there? You gon na wait a couple months for you get another, but now you obviously know you've been, you know going to so many barbers and what you're doing you obviously can tell somebody can cut hair or not, and you do get have good hair to work with You know but uh if you're gon na wear a ball cap most the time or if you're gon na out, you know I'll, let it go and whether you're gon na style it you know sometimes, if you're on the road all the time. It'S not so easy to keep up with some of it and then I'll also, you know guys become a creature of habit. You know I was like look, I'm gon na how much you like your haircut, doesn't mean you have to do the exact same thing. Every time you can do the same type of style and vary the links with the seasons or you can switch it into other styles and that's where a lot of these haircuts do look good with the shaved in parts in that. But then you are locked into that for a while and it takes a while for that to grow out and it's kind of like maybe a musician. You know when to do something and whatnot. You know just because you can use a technique or do something doesn't mean you. Definitely you know that you necessarily need to do it and somebody really conservative. If I put, I could put a awesome, rockabilly or some more. You know extreme err cut. It could look great on them, but if they are not comfortable with that kind of style, they're not gon na be happy the same thing with a guy that wants to stand out more more of an extreme cut. It could be a awesome, looking classic cut on him, but he's probably not gon na be happy either, so the barber should be able to win especially the first time. You should be getting a consultation and then fitting that tailor fitting that haircut to you and your particular lifestyle, as well as your a type, a lot of guys they just they won't put so much into it. She kind of always amazed me guys, maybe because I don't have it so much here but guys complain about you know, prices on their haircuts in general or something or having to do it, but they might go to the gym and spend big money for a membership And then for a protein powder and supplements and get better and to feel better, and then they skip the hair. You know and the only thing I'll stay have to set them apart is a good hairstyle, so this haircut kind of cut. I just do it's a little more organically, almost like you're sculpting, some and just keep combing it feeling it seeing how it plays, and I also come back in what I'm doing is slicing into it, which will add texture and even without blow-drying it or putting product. You'Re going to have more texture in this haircut, but a little wax or you know, hair product will bring all this texturing out. You know, as I owe, the blade and the pressure whether you want texture or not back in 60s, in that, when all the hairs, you know a lot of the styles. Everything was perfectly almost like a hair helmet. No, they everything was perfectly combed and the razoring really made everything laying smooth. When my dad opened does one of the first men's hair salons. They would, you know, cut it and put styling lotion comb it all right into shape, put a hairnet over it, go underneath the dryer and then come out and finish it. So it was just like every hair, just just in shape. How long did it stay? That way, you know a few days, maybe you know back, you would still have to kind of touch it up, but even with the like lava say, the pompadours and these fates and stuff guys wears a lot of more sleeping with hair nets and keep it in To keep to keep the shape they met, hasn't quiet at the time, didn't yeah! Well, they weren't yeah. That'S why I did private booths. You can go back to Victorian town guys with the beards, especially if they shaped the mustaches and stuff they had little like net things to go over that that they slept with yep. They would hold it hold it in place. You remember your first haircut yeah. Don'T talk about that from a traumatic experience, it wasn't with a Baba, but not that way. Okay, all right! The first one I remember put it that way. Yeah and it was pretty scary. Just me, I wasn't traumatic is my. You know. Family were barbers, so just kind of dad put you in the chair knows it yeah, that's also when you can tell someone he's the new barber kids come in, you see him hit the door like in my 20s, when I was working on like I wouldn't used To be in town kids anyway, like at lunchtime no, now the ABCs screaming squirm or whatever is what yeah it's okay today alex is here. It'S just gon na be a little bit looser, be good for traveling. It'S easy to take care of nice neat edges. So even I gets a little kind of household or messy looking, it still looks. Screwed yeah. I was looking a little shaggy by the time we got here. Well, that was good for me and one thing these razor cuts, if somebody's not used to when they the another barber, is not used to it. A lot of mark the ends, look different when somebody's combing. Through these that's good, no blood. I went through a little hair tonic in here comics before, especially when guys use pomades in it and shampoo their hair, but every week or two, some guys, maybe every month, so the hair tonics would help freshen and sanitize that it also helps with the styling. So they're all again with all these old products, it's all making comebacks again for these old styles, you blow dry your hair at home. Nobody, you want to have this sense and direction to it. Do like a medium heat when you first and push it the general direction that you wanted to go, then, when you want to shape it, go to high heat leave it there. You come back in the Coppola restructure, especially if you're doing like a a night on the town. You might put a little bit of paste in here, depending on if you're on the product and hair type generally start back here more with your hair product. You got more on your hands at first. You start in the front a lot of times. It'S too much and it'll look like something about Mary or sometimes not necessarily the best look, and you definitely have a strong growth better than there, but fully chains that have to be pretty short see if your sideburns are even I'm gon na, send you out lopsided It was old, Barney was always telling Floyd on Andy Griffith. He was going to give him a book on sat burns. Okay, see what you think of that pretty good, just kind of a white shape up a little bit off the perimeter and then a little slicing and dicing up through the top to get some texture looks like a winner all right. Thank you, sir. Thank you very much. You

P Ls: Haircut Harry dropping a new haircut video is like your favorite artist dropping a new album

Flowerdoodle2: Interesting to note that because this barber does talk more than others, the quiet interludes are that much more relaxing. It’s a tension and release effect.

Filipe Ventura: On a rainy day, coming home after work, nothing better than a video of Harry to relax :) Thanks for sharing with us :)

BAKASOOKA: What genuine and friendly man this barber is

The Guv'nor: Great narration by Kraig, really interesting to hear his families history around barbering. A really professional guy. Love your video's Harry, never before considered getting a shave or haircut when abroad, will definitely do it now.

Brendan Cucuzza: My brother studied abroad in Prague and stumbled upon this fine gentlemen’s shop. I showed him this video and what a coincidence, it was the same barber. He described the barber exactly as shown in this video, what a genuine guy. amazing haircut too

ultramet: Just an amazing barber. It is amazing to observe barbers that are so knowledgeable about their craft. Thanks so much Harry.

Todd Hostager: This barber's the consummate pro. Well-versed in the craft, talented, and an engaging teacher. I would definitely enjoy watching a series of informal lessons on the art of barbering, using this template, grounded in actual barbering sessions.

ant sala: this barber should be cloned to be in every barber shop around the world, you always can tell someone loves their craft when they can talk about it the whole video

NYR21135: Typically the videos are quiet with minimal talking. This is a nice change of pace. I enjoy how he's telling stories and giving us various incites on hair cutting and its history.

Benjamin Costello: This video and the angel's videos are in my top three favorite haircut videos for asmr. This video is so natural, nothing staged or at least it doesn't feel that way. The way the barber talks and what he says is relaxing to me. Great video! Can't wait for more but for sure I'll be watching this one over and over again!

Aaron Brown: Well this is one of my favorites now. His attention to detail and the constant reassessing of his work was very cool. You’ve found another gem Mr. Haircut. Thank you!!

Alex Boda: Unintentional ASMR is SOOOO much better than intentional. In this case the spray bottle

The Rider: Loved that barber, dude was able to get a few exchanges out of a usually silent Harry.

James Williams: That's a barber who enjoys his craft. Glad to finally see some verbal interaction. That's part of the experience in a good haircut!

Chris2fur: This is by far my favorite haircut Harry video. I watch this on a weekly basis at night to relax.

MrColjazz: What an interesting barber, love this chat, great haircut too, even gets Harry to get involved, we need more like him, not so keen on the ones who have no conversation!!

MrColjazz: Hope you are keeping safe Harry, in these very worrying times. look forward to some new haircut videos, when things return to normal!!

Crumble ASMR: It’s fun watching these for 2 reasons: 1) it’s soooo relaxing 2) it’s interesting to watch how much effort actually goes into a guys hair, like I’m a girl and always assume it’s just a razor, a comb and a little snip but actually there can be so much more to it and it’s so interesting to watch him get it done and to see what other barbers do and how they do it etc. It’s so fascinating

tyshine33: Hi Harry, I love all your videos and I know folks love them for asmr but this visit is so familiar and so like a real visit to the barber's!! Love the chit chat and banter!! And on top of that a great cut!

Alex Clemence: Fantastic video. I loved the fact that Kraig didn't just bring out the small talk. Genuinely fascinating to talk to anyone who is devoted to their craft, no matter what it is. Felt like I actually learnt from this video!

Drew Wilkinson: Kraig cut my hair several times while he was still working in his brother’s shop in Atlanta before moving to Prague. His brother still cuts my hair today & has for the last 20 years. Kraig comes from great family barber stock!

Karl Clemmy: Re watched this many times, it's one of your best Harry, this guy is great, so friendly and great barber, if ever his business went bad he could join the rock group ZZ Top with that beard, he'd fit right in

chris_four_six: Usually only watch shave videos, this is one of the few haircut videos I've watched, and it's awesome! Guy made it look like art rather than a cut, first I've ever seen the razor technique too, which is cool. Another great vid Harry!

Akmal Aziman: Always fun to see the interactions between Harry and the barber.

Pete S: Bloke is an incredible barber, full of knowledge and wisdom throughout his family's history of cutting hair, with a personal touch to match it! Think I'll be visiting him when I go back to Prague ☺

Cleaning Up: Excellent barber, great haircut! I love to watch people that are so good at what they do!

Brandon Schauz: This guy was fantastic and very personable.

Toni Virolainen: This has to be one of your best vids. You both were relaxed. Always coming back to this video. Keep it coming!

SuperDave21: Wow....! Nice cut and style. He was the most talkative of all your visits... and I thought it might be weird, but it made the video a bit more interesting Harry. Was this on purpose or just his personality? What are the odds of running into an American in the Czech Republic? I've never traveled, so I'm pretty ignorant to the ways of the world... lol. I enjoyed it Sir...!

Carolyn Smith: Loved the techniques used to get this shape! Awesome job!! And it helps to have a hairstylist with a good personality. Very enjoyable!

Ben Jensen: Been to this barber today, really friendly and definitely the best hair cut I’ve ever had

Logical1: So confident I love him!! Amazing haircut ‍♂️! Thanks for the hair instruction. I hope he has a child he can leave his legacy to.

Nic' A.: The ASMR is strong in this one.

hector Torres: Haircut Harry needs his own documentary I'd watch that shit I wanna hear his back story

Underground Angling: Another awesome experience for us Harry! Thanks. Interesting conversation with the Mr. Barber. It´s great to hear something about barber history and techniques. Keep up Harry!

Paul Metzger: He's Southern and I'm Southern, so conversation during a haircut is natural for us. I like it. Silences during a haircut are very awkward for people here in the American South, we're just chattier.

JayTea: As a guy from Slovakia visiting Prague soon, I think I know where I'm gonna get my haircut. Awesome video and awesome barber!

AndyOfTheWyld: Awesome video as usual Harry! It pleases me every time I see a new video uploaded. Your videos help me relax when I have some time to kick back. Being from the South, it pleases me to see others enjoying Southern Hospitality! Did Kraig say where he was from down South?

Pao: That haircut is actually so good, never thought a natural look would look so damn good. This barber knows what he’s doing for sure.

John Wigglesworth: I would travel to have this gentleman cut my hair!! What an absolute elite professional and all round nice dude! That was a pleasure watching every second of that

WILLIAM WOLF: This guy has a great sense of humor. He’s very thorough in his work and looks to be very gentle

stingr9137: Wish this barber was in my hometown! Really talented!

Charles Brough: Makes me homesick for my old barber. Although I do enjoy the more silent vids, there is something wonderful about the conversation of a long time barber. A big dose of "The Zen Of The Barber" can be magical.

TheMichael Driggers: One of the best videos this year! Great work on this one Harry! Safe travels brother!

Dead Sky87: I learned more from this video than I have in 33 years of going to get haircuts. Honestly wish I could find a good barber here no one around here consults or talks about what would work for your hair just ask what ya want. Idk you're the barber

ViRuZ: I like this guy. He has a legacy behind him but is clearly still open to adapt to how cuts change in the modern day you can tell he truly cares for his craft

Mr5percenter: Great Vid. Barber is a talented and good dude. Nothing beats an old school barber who has good knowledge of how to cut and historical experience of trends. He has lasted the test of time and has continually adapted his game to remain relevant in the industry over several decades in a foreign country which is even more impressive. Respect

GSTONE: your best video so far ! great camera work and editing. the barber is amazingly good and soo nice !

Robert Suchy: I like how this barber explains what he's doing and why I wish more would do that

Chef Branislav Blagojevic: Nice to see your impact Harry on barbers wanting to improve and use old time techniques to make the expirience incredible and enjoyable

Mr. Atlas: This guy is awesome. I would totally get my hair cut by him. He’s super nice and funny

C Moore: One of the best haircuts! From the Barbers Demeanor/Knowledge and the end result. Great video Harry!

Robert Bischel: My favorite by a mile! So friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

Kyoruzx: Such an amazing video! I love the barber, he sure knows how to spark up a conversation. I hope you have a great weekend!!

Matthew Franson: That is by far the most majestic beard on any human. Another great video Harry!

Martuni: What a knowledgeable personable barber. I wish I could find somebody of the same calibre in my area

Abraham Ruiz: This video is really relaxing. This is a great ASMR. I think I should order a razor cut for my next haircut. I want some texture in my hair, but I don't know if a barber could texturice longer layers. Gratings from Tijuana Mexico.

♔ Darius ♔: This man is the Bob Ross of hair, you leave with a work of art and some knowledge, very nice

Stay Casual: The best yet. I’d honestly pay £100 a cut from this guy, superb work. Peace, from England. ✌️

Chunk: One of the best cuts ive seen on your channel. Looks a great job. Texturing makes such a difference.

Todd Hostager: What a rewarding and relaxing video. Informative and engaging. Thanks so much!

Colby Steadham: Such a nice barber! Really great cut! Keep up the great vids Harry!!

Fleotus Bing: Great video, Harry....very relaxing! Nice haircut, too! Thanks so much! (Also, barber has a great beard!)

19Interpol91: I really enjoyed the talking. The barber seems pretty cool and the service looks great

ccadp: Barber is a gem......excellent job overall. Glad to hear you converse with him! Keep talking it up

SiteCommerce: this video it is in my top3 best 'barber videos' on youtube all the time, maybe it is the best of the best, yes.. all perfect, sound, environment, many 'barber tecniques', asmr.. maybe your best haircut ever, very good my friend, this is your 'definitive video'

Bryce Manning: Looks like a winner is right...another great video Harry! I loved the razor cut.

Handemooor: If I lived in Prague, I'd be a Kraig's client. Nice guy, easy conversation and good barber.

chevrolet402: Another great video Harry. The razor was something I have never seen done before and the talking was a change of pace. Thanks for sharing this barber with us.

jason mccool: Nice to see such a gregarious barber. That's the way I remember barbers being, when I was younger. Nowadays, in my area, most of them can't speak English, so communication like this is a challenge. And speaking of challenged communication - it's a bit cringey watching Harry in this video, as he is so nonverbal.

Tajuana Mayfield: I love the sound of the spray bottle...I never noticed that it was messed up..sounds so relaxing

kag2306: Trying to read your body language Harry and when the barber starts talking hair styles in technical terms, you start to glaze over!

elvis ikonomi: I came to the US from Europe and the first barber I hit he cut my hair exactly like that, with a razor, I was surprised and I started to search for videos on youtube just to see if there are other barbers who cut like that, nice to see this one, now I should start going to that barber again.

Flaviane Miranda: Muito bom os vídeos desse canal

Bryski: I found that this barber is very insightful with his ideas. They're so interesting and thought-provoking.

Milovan Cvetkoski: I enjoyed watching this.Like i was in the same room with you guys.As always, love the video Harry!

Vinny 693: This is such a neat idea for a channel - thank you for the tour of the world from a unique perspective!

MrShanghai34: Great watching these vids.... It reminds me of the former barber I went to. He'd cut, talk, cut, cut… at the end, apply the Lucky Tiger hair tonic. He has since passed away but the memories these vids bring back for me is great

Testing my Audio Addiction: Even though his channel is meant for ASMR, I enjoy talkative barbers because it really immerses you into the experience.

Laney Lane: What a pleasure to watch and listen to this barber...great video Harry!

Scotscan: Fascinating trip down memory lane as well as a superb cut.

2001mark: This one's fun - like a freelance barber professor giving a free lecture.

Richie Murphy: Eagerly awaiting for Harry to engage in a conversation with the barber....c'mon Harry, you can do it man!!!

QuaverFlava: Love Kraig. Love this video and the conversations he had with you. Love too see you visit Kraig again.

Achillia Roberso: Yeah different techniques but these old school barbers are the best never late to pick up their experience !

dj3ears: Another fantastic video! That spray bottle brought some nostalgia of my first barber. Thank you.

Steve-in-Cornwall: Another great video Harry.  You really do have awesome hair.  I envy you.  I actually enjoyed you talking a bit more in this film - you couldn't do anything else with the barber being so chatty.  He was lovely too.  Amazing beard.  :)

Faye M-S: Loved this video, didn't think I'd like the talking but what a lovely chap! Very relaxing ☺️

Chris Schultz: Amazing video to date!! His attention to detail was amazing to watch. Nice to see the interaction between you too.

J B: How do you pick and choose the many different barbershops you wind up filming in? Does the country decision come first and then you hunt for one or do you pick certain shops to visit and then set up your travel plans?

Cheps: This barber is a master at his craft! What an artist!

MARK LOCKWOOD: I had a barber growing up he knew my hair and all his customers just what I wanted my cut to be. Sometimes he’d ask. Same ol same o’l. He retired years ago. Always had bubble gum after words.

Makaveli Soldier: Kraig should have his own youtube channel.

a: Really great video, I believe you we're afraid that much talking would not be relaxing like your other videos..but really it was on point, and his tips were great...another great video harry..Thank you

Falloutman216: I adore the razor cutting, triggers my ASMR like crazy, this guy was great.

Hello There: “You want a beer or whiskey while I cut your hair?” That settles it I’m moving to Prague.

Yomz: Need more barber's like this guy

Justin Peterich: I notice that in the large majority of these videos, the barbers make almost zero conversation. Certainly a lot of this phenomenon is when Harry is in a foreign country, but I even notice it when he is in English speaking countries. I would like to hear more conversation, as everyone has story’s to tell. Takes away from the ASMR of it all, but that’s for some and this is for others.

sorin srn: Good haircut and a very nice casual chating. Well done Harry!
