The year is 2023 and we still have people believing that relaxers are bad and damage your hair. We also still have people that believe that heat is bad and will automatically damage your hair and, lastly, that weaves are bad and will automatically damage your hair as a hair stylist who specializes in healthy, weaving and heat styling and has helped thousands of women achieve their Hair goals with these techniques - I know this is highly false. The latest claims we are seeing being made is popular. Hair care lines are ruining people's hair and, while I absolutely do believe there is a such thing as bad hair products, what I see the most is hair products being used wrong, weaves being installed improperly heat being used improperly, and the list goes on so tonight during Chit Chat Wednesday, my weekly live stream, we're going to be getting all into product knowledge and how important it is any product or tool being used improperly can ruin your hair

Look, I’ve come to realize that there are some who are HARD pressed on believing that the previous techniques/tools mentioned are the spawns of satan. Frankly, my content is not and never was for them ♀️ For those of you are are PROGRESSIVE and open minded, I want you to hear me out. Hair care is a very nuanced subject. It is not BLACK OR WHITE! I believe that most of our complications boil down to misinformation, miseducation, and poor execution. Now I know y’all have seen all of the recent controversy surrounding #olaplex and #mielleorganics While I absolutely do believe there are many TRASH/GIMMICKY products in the market, I know for a fact that the Olaplex line is not one of ‘em! Argue wit ya mama! We have to be real about the very real reality that a lot of consumers and BEAUTY PRO’S lack product knowledge. Lily Bee : I feel as though a lot of consumers overuse products like Olaplex, especially when they don't even need it. They should've kept it for professionals only honestly
Lovely: Did you get a chance to speak on the Mielle fiasco. I heard a lot about Olaplex on the Live last night. I may have missed the other brand. I was shocked at the matted disaster it caused that Youtuber. Smh.
