The music in the video was created and recorded by Emma J. She created it based off of what she believes my personality sounds like. I think it sounds like a soundtrack to a historical drama, which is accurate. You can view her newest music video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rydln2...

Hello, I am Marie, and today I'm going to show you how to spice up here at basic 1860s hair style. So if you have not seen my basic eighteen, sixties, hair style, video go, do that now and then come back here. I'Ll show you how to spice it all right. So now that you have watched the 1860s basic hairstyle tutorials, you will know that we always part our hair in the middle and that we're going to do it at the nape of our neck. So the last time I did it, it was just a basic bun. Now I'm going to show you how to spice up that bun. So my other go to 1860s hair style. What I'm feeling a little bit more fancy is I do a braided bun, so we're about to I'm about to show you how to do that now. Okay, so I'm going to split my hair into three sections: we're going out this side! Just look here this side, I'm going to stuck here and then my back section here, I'm going to go and I'm going to braid my I'm going to bring all three sides. Just a normal, three-strand braid would make sure I don't want to start the braid too high, I'm going to start the braid at about my chin level. So that way, when I I'm going to pull it back - and I still want to have this part not be braided, this part is just way to add the lips. To my face, like we talked about in the last video, my hair is also still pretty greasy. Today, which is great for doing historical hairstyles, because it makes your hair stay because they didn't have hairspray, they just had greased, they didn't wash their hair everyday. They had a wash basin in picture that they might use to rinse their hair out. They weren't like as disgusting, and I think sometimes we make them out to be like you know they watched they just didn't like fully submerge themselves as much as we do all right. So I got my two side brains and I'm going to do the back raid. So I have secured the end of my braids as I'm working on them with fixed a bobby pin at the bottom and now we're going to bring it to the back. You you you you so what I'm doing now is I'm going to break my back section and then I put it up into a bun. So just like you put up a normal button, it's just braided and then I'm going to take my two side. Braids and I'm going to loop them around the bun individually, starting under the main bun and going around and then going under the mix with the bun and around and then I'm going to tuck the ends right under the loop that they have created. So you don't see the ends. If you wanted to do it more next or accurately, and not with a rubber band elastic hair tie, you can do it with ribbon or yarn you just you really don't see it in my hair and they probably won't see it in your hair. If you do it and it's a little easier to do it, so I cheat, and I do it that way you so this is what it looks like for the threat. As you can see, it has that nice loose hair here, which kind of creates a little romantic swoosh. It makes my face. Look even rounder than it already is, which you know the Victorians loved it has that nice childlike innocent and gellick porcelain doll looking face that they then frame with their dark hair. I used bobby pins and I used in a rubber elastic tie to do this hairdo. If you wanted to make it more authentic, you could use ribbon or string or twine or something of that nature. I don't because you can't see it in my hair and that's just a lot more work that I don't really want to do so. This is what I have for this, so this is what it looks like from the side, and this is what it looks like from the other side. So it looks very much like the basic eighteen sixties, hair style on the front, but it has a much more intricate see in the back. So I hope you enjoyed that fancy 1860s hair tutorial. Please give this video a big thumbs up if you liked it. Please subscribe if you haven't already and yeah. Thank you so much for watching hope you enjoyed it. I make videos every Wednesday in the summer, I'm hoping to get them up on Saturdays as well. I have a lot of really fun things planned for this summer. So please subscribe and stay tuned because you won't want to miss all of these find historical adventures.

Flying V-S Farm: I started doing a 4 strand braid on the sides. Gives it even more texture when pulled into a bun. It also helps flatten it out a bit. I also use the U-pins on my hair to be a bit more authentic and they hold my hair better. Have you ever done you hairstyles with pomade? Helps hold the style longer during the day, especially when doing the strenuous work of a nurse. Have you done any hairstyles with hair helpers to round out the face? I’m hoping to get a “rat” tutorial up on my channel soon!
