Uh most of y'all think i look like some rapper, whether it's playboy carter or 217, so we're gon na do one of those styles again today, if you haven't seen my last inspire style, i did an inspire style where i did a toby and wig with inspire Style, um he's a huge rapper. I was in his music video but go check the video i was pretty dope. I like that style, a lot um, but this one honestly, this isn't even a playboy hardy style. This is literally just two string twists, but this is just the style that clever cardi does, and so i'm gon na be doing that today to show you how to do it, because it's super simple, i think the main difference is that he dyes his hair, and I don't i haven't dyed my hair yet so he's not gon na look the same color, obviously, because my hair is black but um, it's the same style and it's super super easy. I mentioned in the video a couple weeks ago that i was growing on my sides that ain't happening anymore and the reason being is because you know i really love my locs and i want to see how they look when they get longer. And i don't want to like rush the process of trying to do anything too drastic right now. I just want to let my locks do their thing and just let them be where they are, and i love my high top blocks. You know i love the stuff that i can do with them, they're pretty dope um, so yeah i did. I did just get a fade and i'm gon na show you some clips of that as well, because your boy needed a cut like i needed to fade in the worst way. And my boy said fine at the grind. Barber studio got me right, but before i go watch the resource right here, let me give you a quick 360 of my luck so far, because i know a lot of y'all have been hauling me for some time and um. I want to keep you updated with my locks. I think this actually might be my 22 month update as well. I'M not sure i think so if it is not i'll correct it in the title of the video, but i believe it's my 22 month update and so my hair um is definitely growing and it's healthy. So i want to show what it's been looking like. So far everything so yeah. This is what my hair looks like right now, um. I will be doing a link check at my two-year mark, which is gon na, be posted in the beginning of august. My two year mark is at the very end of july, so i'll probably post it in august, but i will do a link check, um and compare it to what, where i was that time last year see how much has grown and then compared to when i First started because y'all know my locks if you've seen my channel for a while. My luck started way up here and we're down below my chin. So definitely stand high with the growth. But let me quit talking, let's get straight to this video, so so all right. So i'm fresh out of the shower and um. What i'm going to do now is just um put my hair up, so i can start sectioning it so that i can figure out which side i'm going to start with. So one thing i like to do when i do this style, is i like to section the front off so that i can have an even amount of twists in the front, because i hate when i start in the back or something - and i end up having Like two here and then three here, but i want it to look more even because i believe i have a even amount of locks, and so i want to make sure i don't have any triple strand twisting and have like one random one left out somewhere. So i just like try to take at least some of the front ones down to pair them with locks already so that i can already have those paired in the front. So i don't have to worry about having messed up twists in the front all right. So now that i have the front part section off, i know that i have uh pairs for each of those twists, so i can start how i normally start. So i'm going to show you what i do when i retwist this all you're going to need is uh one clip. I have one of these big duck clips, but you can use one of the small ones if you have one, if you don't have a clip, you can either use a bobby pin or maybe even a comb to help keep it keep the lock twisted, while you're Switching the second one and i'll show you what i mean by that in a second and whatever we twist product of your choice. Whatever you use to retwist, i use the jamaican mangoes cool scalp, locking gel. I don't have any issues with it. I'Ve never had build up or anything so people have different opinions about it, but i've never had issues with it. So the first thing you want to do you want to make sure that the lock that you're working on has a partner. So i'm going to use this one, and probably this one right above it, but i'm going to focus on this one first. So first thing i'm going to do is make sure it's all parted good and then comb it out a little bit get some of my lock gel that i'm using that's a little too much. But if you use lagio, don't use too much because a little goes. A long way and putting a large amount of any um product in your hair will cause build up, so just be cautious of that. So what i'm gon na do now. I just put the lock gel in and now i'm just gon na um. Normally i comb it sometimes back home did already so i'm just going to twist it down and then palm roll. It all the way down and then you're going to get your clip and then secure that lock, so that it doesn't unravel when you're working on the second one and you're going to grab your second lock. That you have give that a little comb through put some gel and then twist it down and then you're going to grab the other leg that you already worked on and grab that to make sure it doesn't unravel. When you take the clip off and all you're going to do is twist it down all the way and then once you do that you want to get a little rubber band and you're going to secure your ends. With that. One thing i like to do is i like to fold the ends up a little bit on the last one, just so that it's more secure so, like i grab it at the top like right here, while i'm holding this and then let it kind of fold It up a little bit just like that, and then that's the first twist, i'm gon na go ahead and finish up the other ones, i'm normally sitting down. When i do this, which is why it's kind of hard for me to look and do it at the same time, but i'm gon na go ahead and finish these out and then show you the final product when i'm done so keep watching. Actually, before i get to it, it just dawned on me that y'all don't really know my setup like that um, because i know some of y'all wonder how i get to the back and stuff and um it's hard. So when you're trying to part your hair and like do it with like one hand or just trying to hold a mirror, it's all it's all kind of complicated. So this is just my setup because i know some of y'all need it. So i know the bathroom is kind of messy, but this will happen when you can do your hair, but, like i just have like my laptop the mirror and the light, but then right here i have a tall mirror right behind my chair, where i sit down In my bathroom, because it helps me look at the back and then what i do is i just switch the light from this side to this side. Whenever i need to see the other side with better lighting and to record also yeah, i normally have to tie my laptop here to watch something while i'm doing it, hey y'all go check out my latest tattoo video. If y'all want to check out my journey to my sleeve but yeah, that's my setup. Um leave questions down below. If you have any questions about the setup and like how i actually do this myself, because retwisting hair is not easy and i have to learn over time, but it does get easier after a while like it's not like it's like nothing to me. It'S just the time that it takes. Sometimes i've gotten faster at it, but it still takes time so um yeah, let's get back to it. Oh, oh me, all right, so your voice is done. Um, it's still wet, so i have to sit under the dryer for some time, but um it came out pretty good. In my opinion, my hair is definitely going over time because when i first started doing my two strand twists, they were like way up here. So like it's definitely growing on where this is like the easiest style that you can do yourself, if you don't know how to barrel twist or braid, this is like the easiest, lock style. You can do yourself. I didn't end up having one with an even amount of locks. I don't know why i thought i had 76 but i might have 77., so i'm gon na recount and i'll probably put the number in here or maybe down in the description or something. So if it's not 76, it's either 75 or 77, but it's almost the same amount that i said in the previous video, but now thank you so much for watching. If you don't want more inspire styles, let me know down below in the comments. Um! Listen! I don't even listen to playboy cardi, but uh y'all. Look like this man, so yeah um it's funny, because his name is actually jordan too. So i was just like. Oh that's kind of weird, but i listen to that man. He he he'll rap about nothing. I want to hear so um. Thank you so much for watching this. Video don't forget to like share comment. Subscribe, hydra main is coming back very very soon.
