Hello, peaches welcome back to dear peachy. We all know that makeup is the most crucial step to help us to achieve the style that we want. However, a perfect hairdo is definitely the step you shouldn't skip to complete your look, so we will be bringing something new today we have been talking about makeup all the time in our channel. So it's time for hair styling tips. Before we begin, we would like to introduce a new term to you guys. The term high cranial top has become a highly discussed keyword in the china's aesthetic trend for the past two years. Well, personally, we didn't find this term being explored and explained in the western beauty world. We realized that it would be helpful if we can share it with you guys, so what does high cranial top actually means and how it can actually affect your overall look. Let'S find out together in this video as usual, we will be splitting our video into three parts, part one. What is high cranial top part two to identify if you're suitable for high cranial top hairstyle part three, how to achieve high cranial top hairstyle part one. What is high cranial top the famous celebrities that have high cranial top are jenny from black pink and crystal loo. The china beauty experts found out that high cranial top can actually make our face. Look smaller and our facial features to look more prominent and delicate. Besides that, high cranial top can also help to focus people's attention to the area between our brows and eyes, so this will be very useful in enhancing our face shape. Now you must be wondering what is high cranial top cranial top is actually the distance from the top of your skull to your hairline. People with high cranial top will have equal distance for the area between your brows to hairline and the area between the top of your skull to your hairline, which, in other words, the proportion for both areas are in one to one ratio. The high cranial top hairstyles have become the aesthetics pursued by many girls in china, but does it really mean that girls with low cranial top will not look as good as girls with high cranial top? Well, there are. A lot of celebrities are with low cranial top such as dilly rabbat park, mignon and jessica john, however, with low cranial top, they still look stunning. This is because high or low cranial top is just two different styles ain't. No one of them is considered more beautiful than the other lower cranial top will make you look sexier and more mature. On the other hand, high cranial top will make you look younger and cuter blue or high cranial top are equally beautiful. You just have to understand yourself to find which style suits you the most part, two: how to identify that you're suitable for high or low cranial top hairstyle. First, we would need to look at the level of your eyes. Take your phone and turn on the selfie mode. You would need to relax your face. Stand further away from your camera. Now look straight into the camera. Relax your head so that the level of your eyes will be somewhere around half of the length of your head. Take a picture of it and zoom into that picture. Draw three lines on the top of your head eyes and the base of your chin, like this observe the level of your eyes. Is it somewhere around half of your head's length if your eyes are more leveled? Above then, having high cranial top would be useful to enhance your appearance. If your eyes are more level below the standard ratio, you would not need to increase the height of your cranial top, because overdoing it will make you look like you are having a big head. Second, the length of our face for girls, who have longer face shape, increasing the height of cranial top, will actually increase the visual impression of having longer face celebrities with long face shapes such as rose a from black, pink and genre one. You can definitely tell that their stylist did not want for the high cranial hairstyles for them. Third, the width of upper portion of our face. The upper portion is the area from our hairline to our brows. If your upper portion is wider than the lower portion of your face, high cranial top hairstyle might not be suitable for you. Korean stars, like eugene and park min young, have wider upper portion too. Having high cranial top hairstyles will make our hair look more voluminous. So this will make the upper portion of our face look wider. After checking with the three main steps above. Have you find out that which hairstyle that you are more suitable with high or low cranial top moving to the last part, part 3? How to achieve high cranial top hairstyle in this part, we found a very useful tutorial by this beauty, guru named curry, to show us how to get the high cranial hair do in just few simple steps. First, you will need a hair straightener and a crimping iron with the size of a fingers. Width remember to get the smaller size, one like the one that she is showing here, but not the big one like this before she begins. She asks her followers to look at her low cranial top. She says she usually sees tutorials teaching viewers to use bigger size, crimping iron, to section your hair and clip all the way down like this. However, this doesn't really help with increasing the volume of our hair. On the top of our cranial, but increasing the volume at the side of our head instead doing, this will also make our face. Look bigger too. The area that we need to volumize is actually here the middle part of our head. If we pull up our hair at the middle part here, the proportion of her face looks much better. Now she will show us how to do it correctly. First, section your hair to the side just take a small strand of hair from the side and partly to the other side, secure it with a hair. Pin then continue to section your hair from your mid hairline move your finger slightly around 3 to 4 cm to the side and section it. This will be the region that we are going to make our hair looks more voluminous, take the crimping iron and clip it close to your roots. You have to be extra careful for this step. To avoid burning your scalp then go over the layers with the same step, then remove the hair, pin and fix your hair. Look at the difference. Look how fluffy is it after this trick? She says if you have really flat cranial top like hers. You can further enhance the volume of your hair by using a hair straightener from the same strand of hair. Take that section was not crimped just now, lift it up and clip it in a c-shape motion. Like this clip it and go over it in a c-shape, look then wait for it to cool down. You can now see the middle of your hair here is lifted. Look at the difference. This is really not edited guys. Look at the side profile. It looks great from the side too. This trick will not make your head look big, but it still keeps your face. Look small, look at the final look. The middle part here is lifted, but the shape of the sides of our heads still remain like this. When you're done, you can spray some setting spray on top so that your hairdo can stay well all day long. What if you do not have any straightener or crimping iron with you? No worries here is another tutorial that can help you to achieve high cranial top hairstyle by just using simple tools that we all have at home. Tip 1 use a bump up, hair clip and secure it close to the roots of your hair. Then hide it with layers of hair. On top of it, look at the side with bump up hair padding, her cranial top is definitely lifted. Tip two get a big hair clip and a hair finishing stick. Take a small strand of hair from the top of your head apply the hair finishing product at the roots of your hair, secure with hair clip. Lastly, set it by using hair dryer for a few seconds. Remove the hair pin fix it a little, and now you have high cranial top. This trick can help your hairdo to stay for long hours and it will not lose its shape easily tip 3 use a headband use your finger and estimate around 8 cm from your front hairline section your hair and place the headband over it and tidy up all Your hair into a bun or ponytail, you will need to wrap up the headband under your hair. Push the headband slightly to the front, to volumize your hair, push it to front so that you can achieve high cranial top effect. You can also push at the sides too. This will enhance the shape of your head. Look how natural, the messy bun look time to learn these tips, because it will make so much difference to your overall look. What do you think about our video today? Do you prefer yourself in the high or low cranial top hairstyle? Personally, i think both are gorgeous. It is all about finding out what suits you, the most so have fun. Trying them out tell us in the comments section, if you're going to learn it and try them out. Thank you so much for watching hope to see you again in our next video bye. You

So What: THIS MAKES SUCH A BIG DIFFERENCE! I ALWAYS HATED MY HAIR GOING FLAT AND JUST MAKES MY FACE LOOKS FATTER. TYSMMMMMM

Jell Jelly: Another tip I learned from my hairstylist and completely changed everything for me is this: don’t keep your hair parted the same way every day. If you have a middle part on one day switch it to a slightly different part the next day (sweep it to the right side, then the left side the next day and sweep it back) better yet don’t part your hair at all. You hair is heavier than you think, if you keep you hair parted in the middle it will pull down. It will quickly create a low cranial top at first, your hair will go flat and in some time it will lead to a bald spot

boba tea: beauty standards are getting crazier and more detailed each day istg. literally every month there's something new.

Tamara: Damn we’re never done with beauty standards are we

jj panda: Our biggest insecurity could be someone else’s dream.

N S: I realized it at such a young age. And I couldn't explain it to anyone, people wouldn't understand it. Finally it's being talked about. It really makes a big difference. Fluffier hair on the top makes a face look smaller and more proportionate.

Daniella Rodriguez: This is not a trend. That's something you have to find in order to suit you. As long as you find your uniqueness and the look that better suits you and enhance your beauty, giiiirrrl you'll be golden and you'll see a huge difference. Just find what makes you feel Beautiful and you

Alma Mater: I swear, every few season China gotta come up with some beauty standard ready to shake up my confidence

Loana: I'll just shave my head at this point

NR: I love how this account has very specific recomendations for everyone and actually deep analysis. I've never seen someone explain in such detail beauty things to enhance our own characteristics. It's always those perfect beautiful girls who don't give tips that work for everyone, just for them. But this is really good! Because it's not about changing to unrealistic beauty standards, but to do little changes that are in our capability to do to look better without damaging or hiding our bodies. I'm so in love! <3

It will quickly create a low cranial top at first and in some time it will lead to a bald spot

SAJ Sakura: As stated in the video, low or high cranial top doesnt define how beautiful you are. It's the matter of defining what features you have a embrace a style that fits you the most!! If anyone feels insecure abt having low cranial top, remember that most people don't actually know the difference!!! You do what looks good on you ;))

CNoelle: “Simple tools that we all have at home…” Hair bump clip. Hair finishing stick. Yeah…ok

Liah Morley: oh wow this was so helpful! my hair naturally has a lot of volume at the ends but not much at the roots and i've always felt my hair is so flat on top yet really fluffy at the bottom. i'm definitely going to try these tricks, thank you!

beila: i always look at pictures of jennie and wonder how perfect her hair is, tysm for this <3

happinesss2: aww I love that you emphasize that low and high cranial tops are simply different; one isn't better than the other :)

Carissa: As a black girl, l will definitely use these tips for when I wear wigs. Also if your getting a protective style like box braids, maybe try placing more braids at the crown of your head to create the illusion of a high cranial top (but you might need to make the braids smaller so they don't look bulky). I have never done this before so try at your own risk lol

Sarah Jenkins: I used to unintentionally try to achieve this (never had a word for it) by constantly switching my side part to either side, but now that middle parts are in I’ve been trying to figure out to do this. Thanks for sharing! The handband/pony tail trick is so useful!

Ammy Hideyoshi: As an artist I find funny that every beauty standard, from proportions to colour palettes, that happens to become "trendy" are in fact small things that set certain individuals apart. We have been learning to perceive those by drawing people constantly, then enhancing those exact characteristics. It was always there, and a significant part of the population always found it pretty to look at in art or photos. They just couldn't explain exactly **what** made certain people beautiful to them most of the time. But when they do, they translate that into fashion.

Bela Solis: thank youuuu, in my teenage years I was so uncomfortable with how flat my hairs were, they were long heavy and I was so insecure and I’ve been wearing ponytails all the time from there on, my hairs been falling off a lot due to the tight ponytail. I can’t believe it’s been this long, I can finally wear my hairs down now ❤️ so much thanks!!! I’ll try this right away!

Naila Kamana: Omg this is what I have been trying to explain to my mom about my hair for years! Whenever I used chemical straightner I would like the sleekness of my hair, but hate that it looked so flat on top, which made my head look fatter and rounder. It just didn't look good. But they just didn't get it. They would say: but your hair is softer now isn't it?!

f a y e: I was wondering the whole time why my hair looks so flat even though I have a thick hair. I realized, I just have a low cranial top. Thank you so much for this video, your tips are really helpful!

An Asian Emo: I Love that this is being talked about. I always felt like there was something about my hair and head shape that made it look like something was missing so I would widen and heighten my cranial hair to balance it . Teasing it, using dry shampoo, using hairspray or using a straightener like in the video. Now I know even more about it.

Ioana: This is something I realized since I was a teenager but no one understood why I wanted to "fluff" up my hair since they didn't have this issue. I always wear my hair up, with a clip or in a high pony tail. I never leave my hair down when it's longer or I don't have volume in the roots. I also get now why Park Min Young wore that high pony tail in WWWSK.

Irene: I always go for high craneal top hairstyles! Those tutorials helped me a lot to discover new ways of achieving the effect

dear peachie: Hi Peachies! We see there are comments asking where to get the tools to achieve high cranial top hairstyles. Here are the tools that are mentioned in the video Thank you! 1. Crimping Iron (1 inch) https://amzn.to/3e8pCI1 2. Hair Straightener/ Flat Iron https://amzn.to/3AQsVNH 3. Bump up Hair Clip https://amzn.to/3k2r4zm 4. Anti Frizz Hair Flyaway Tamer- Hair Finishing Stick https://amzn.to/36I3EHP

Logi Emad: Honestly you're the only YouTube who actually gives good beauty advice not just buy this or that please keep up the good work I watch all your videos

Flying Possum: Ty peachie, it's soo true we must find things we suit for ourselves not what's on trend. Just because something is trending and doesn't suit you doesn't mean anything. Like why people obsessed w V shape face. Like Angela Joeli has a heavy jaw and she is soo beautiful. Go with whatever you have

Super Nova: IZ*ONE's Wonyoung made me notice this style and after trying it on myself, I realized how much it helps improve the look of my face shape. Thanks for all the tips on how to do it! Time to improve my methods!

Eyal Oged: I love the way they said it depends on which style suits you and which style you’re aiming to. It’s the first time I’ve seen a video about beauty standards act modest and not make people think they’re ugly lol

yourspace: OMG! I was so insecure about my high cranial top.. but after seeing this video I feel proud

J: I noticed this particular thing when I gave myself dreadlocks. My hair was super flat on the top and that made my nose look huge and made me look older in general. Now that I constantly have massive volume on my hair I think look way more atractive and healthy. It reminds of those 80-90s models with huge lion manes

Liz He: I've noticed this for years, so happy to see it being noticed by others too. The first time I really noticed the different was with Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid. I always wondered why I thought they looked so much more regal and elegant than their sisters. I honestly think it's because of this. Or at least partly.

Serenity •: I always had trouble with my rising hair volume and I always knew that low volume on my hair made me look very bad! Didn’t knew what it was and now I finally understand and can change it! Thank you :)

Merian Youhanayev: Finally!! A video or even topic and understanding of what I have been struggling with my whole life and why I tease my hair not only on top but the back as well because my skill is flat from all direction. It's nice to know what its called and different ways of addressing it as I am tired of teasing it as it isn't always the best solution on the daily. Thanks for the video it's greatly appreciated.

velerina: Personally for me, I like low. It's just how I feel, I think high is a bit intimidating, low looks natural and neutral often. I also found Jenny looked better with low cranial top. For me, low cranial top suits her more.

arely's journal: oh wow this is the reason middle parts never look flat on people like anya taylor joy

Tamara Vitória: I have afro hair and I use box braids, I always liked to do a high ponytail with the braids, because my face looks more beautiful like this... I think I did this trick naturally kjkjdasd when we see the mirror we know this things, and we do naturally <3 and I think baby hair do this thing too, for who has curly hair

Evie: I've always been insecure about my high cranial top, but hearing that it's an aesthetic now makes me feel better about it!

RuRu: The bun tip with the hairband is sooo useful! I always feel like a flat head when I do buns but now I can change that hehe

jkv: I'm so happy thank you so much for these!! I've always been insecure and used to ruffle my hair messy all the time and it made me so frustrated that I cried but now I'm going to use this tips skksshdgfj

Patata :v: Now I understand everything, this is the reason why whenever I got disorganized the upper part of my hair always looked better, I'm going to do it!

Navier Ma’s Channel 🔮👻: I’m glad this is a thing now! When I was a pre teen, people made fun of me for my high cranial top hair. They said it looked like I was wearing a wig. I became so self conscious about it. On my dad’s side, we have a lot of hair. Now that I’m losing my hair, I’m like, man.. wish this was more of a thing when I was younger.

i: i have a round face and super flat cranial top omg i am so relieved to finally see this put into a concept and tutorial, thank you!!!

nailah: I’ve always been insecure about having a high cranial top I was annoyed that my hair would never stay straight lol especially if I straightened my curly hair it would still have so much volume

aisha: thank you so much for making such useful videos!!

Conceição Guedes: Here goes my opinion: I think we can summerise this issue of high top/ low top head turning it into having a high/ low forehead or a long/ round face. If you have a low forehead you can add some more height to it increasing the hair volume at the top...of course if your forehead is high you must flatten the hair otherwise it will look higher... or trying a fringe...The same happens with the shape of your face....if you have a long face you are not going to make it longer with some more centimeters at the top....give it some volume at the sides instead.... A round face doesn't need to look wider with volume at the sides...you' ll have to try to make it slimmer bringing your hair more to the face and perhaps flattening it. I hope you agree with this way of explaining this issue.

Elle: Always thought it was just volume? Anyway that thin hair straightener trick is so good! Gonna buy one now. Any idea how many inches?

green: i love your videos, thank you for always translating for us! i was looking for something like this

Anie.Purple🍓: Gracias YouTube por recomendarme este video, y gracias a ti por los tips me encantaron ♡

Kinsi: I've noticed this for a long time and felt a little insecure about it- but the photo exercise in the beginning helped me to realize it's probably a more flattering choice for me to use a low cranial top style anyway! Thx :)

Jazzy~: Woah- I used to hate having a high cranial top because I didn’t like the ways that high poneytails looked on me, but this gave me a new view.. thank you!

I can see you everywhere: I'm in love the way you explain Even she motivate us

𝑂𝑒𝑛𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑙🧿: Very useful!! ❤ thank you! Trying to achieve this look for years…

rowanistic: my cranial top is literally as flat as it gets

E.V L: Great video! I have naturally curly hair and my hair stylist takes extra care not to rebond it too close to the roots. And my hair looks best after 2 months when the roots grow out giving my volume at the top while my ends are slightly wavy!

emma stone: Yesss, this!!! My hair goes flat so quickly, I’ll definitely implement all of these tips tricks, so helpful, thankyou!!!!

Marie Padureanu: I have always been concerned about this feature I had, didn’t know it’s called “high cranial top”. Now this makes me happy! Thank you ❤️

E. Boekhout: I've always been so insecure about she shape of my skull, I naturally have a high cranial top, always trying to make my hair as flat as possible but it never being enough because hyperfocussing on it makes it appear large and disproportionate and wrong (the longer you stare into the mirror, the more your reflection will morphe and look wrong),. always cropping out the top of my head from photo's now I have a scientific reason to feel confident about it

Camila Gonzalez Cardona: i just discovered your channel yesterday and IT’S THE BEST CHANNEL EVER! all your tips are very helpful¡!

Mathilde: As someone with a natural high cranial top I always wondered how to lower it instead. Any advice? My hair is straight but really volumes which means when my hair is short it looks okay, but when its long (which is what I want) it just looks BIG

bahay kubo mini farm: Ive always watch your videos and it can help me a lot to look beautiful thank you

Aizan NY: Omg the second tutorial is so helpful because it shows how to achieve the look with my hair up. Awesome!

Mint: My nose is really long and I suffer from PCOS. I always used to look great with my hair not tightly ponied, as is asked by schools, but now I have lost a lot of my hair, this would definitely help a lot. Thank you!

M: Thank you for this! I’ve been looking for hair tutorials to create volume at that specific place But i only got to see hair blow-out tutorials which still didn’t create the effect i wanted, i have a round face, so volume at the crown of my hair is really important to me

fuu56: this just saved my life, i’ve always thought the top of my head was so flat and since i have a round small head it makes me look weird i’m definitely gonna try this thank you!

sarah curtis: I'm so in love with these videos, everyone is beautiful you just need to find ways to enhance what you have. No one is magic, like celebrities, they just work really hard to look their best:))❤❤

sus sie: How have I gone through more than 40 years of my life without this trick?!! Life changing! I've tried all kinds of volumizing mousses, curling irons, curlers, perms, and just seconds with a hair clip and a blowdryer I finally have volume! Thank you so, so much for your channel!

Jenny P: thank you so much, your channel is such a useful channel so far you're not only give us new tips for better ways to style ourselves but you also encourage us to be in the ways we are too!

ForestDream: Omfg I discovered this at a super young age! I used to get perms and HATED how flat my hair looked the first couple of weeks. So I would make it full at the top, and would get compliments. Honestly I wear my hair curly and full now, and I get a lot of compliments. If anything, this cranial issue I had made me rediscover how much cuter I look in natural features. If you were born with curly hair, your face likely needs hair with a lot of volume since your features are usually adapted to your naturally voluminous hair! Cheers!

Aeria Cross: True. I always do a layered look so I can flip more of my hair to one side giving higher volume on top. I always try to fluff up my hair at the roots.

chaimaâ zevïal: I always thought Jennie had the goddess most admiring hair in the whole kpop idols community, wish I have that

Hannie Chan: So informative!!! Love ur vids!!! They never disappoint me with general knowledge

TANISHKA soni: Hey Dear Peachie! I'm your really big fan, I watch all your videos and honestly, you deserve a lot more subs. You're really helpful. I need a help. Being your fan, you seem the only one to help me. you always come up with the best makeup tips. I guarantee, only 1-2% of makeup artists (the professionals) know this. I request you to upload some tips on sunken eyes/ deep set eyes. This is a very huge problem and many people have it. I really need your help. I would be really Glad if you'd help me. Dear Peachie, being your fan, I can only request you. Thank you!

BB ~: I have a high cranial top and a long face. It's not about certain specific feature that's considered beautiful, it's about how well it harmonizes with the rest of your features. Don't shop for another insecurity, you don't need specific beauty traits to be beautiful, that's a misconception.

Chatrine Tifany: Thank youu for making this video, this is so helpfullll

Nicole Wagner: Wow! Thanks so much for this video. I have a cranial top so low that it looks like someone chopped off part of my head. Sometimes I'd try to raise it with static curls. However, the long bouncy waves my hair forms naturally look so much more beautiful. It is be nice to be able to increase my cranial top without deviating from my preferred, style. Hair is best when it is allowed to move.

LoliNaniヅ: Omg I’m going to start doing this more often!! Especially I think with my middle part I look a little wonky I love this hack!!!

magicjungle: If only my hair didn’t just explode in the humidity. As soon as I step outside, all my hard work gets ruined no matter what product or hairspray I use

Geerie SY: Always thought it was beautiful but finally has a name. <3 Jennie visuals are just amazing Another beauty standard I don't fit but iss okay ig

Shweta jain: Thank you for making this video I will definitely try this ❤️

M: haha I have really short boy-ish mullet hair and I also notice making a high cranial top works a lot!! I always use a flat iron and add some height at the base and it really adds a lot

olivia fay: ohhh this makes so much sense!! my natural hair is quite wavy and puffy giving me a high cranial top and i always hated how it looked because i have a big forehead… so when i straighten my hair it looks better as it is a bit flatter. tysm for this it really helped<3

iyakako: GRACIAS POR LOS SUBS EN ESPAÑOL ❤❤❤

Lille Prut: I've always had a short and EXTREMELY flat cranial top and I'd ask hairdressers to do a cut and show me a hairstyle that could counter that, but no one ever got it (?? It shouldn't be unheard of in their specialty, and yet..), and I've extensively searched online to no avail. For more than a decade tbh. Of course I had to wait for extreme physical detail obsessed Korea to decide it's the new thing to idealize, in order for me to get a technique Oml

Kar Aashika: So this is why I always look better when I fluff up my hair at the top! Had no idea I was unknowingly going for high cranial top.

cool kid: Lucy Hale from PLL has this and it makes her look younger. When I was younger, I wanted ny hair to look like that, but because of my oval shape, it never looked good

Julie Bui: I usually French braid my hair as loose as possible to create more volume on the top of my head. I have a round face and I think doing that makes it look so much younger

cryingbunny: Next time I style my hair I'm going to try this out!! Cos my hair is straight and my face is small my face/ head looks soooo flat! Can't wait to share the results! ~♡

Roni: I always thought my hair looked so thin at the scalp. Thank you for this!

Wren: I usually got layered haircuts for this exact reason!! To make my head look rounder, and so that i could use styling wax to make the top/shortest layer look more voluminous

dandy chiggins: great, another thing that i didn’t realize we need to be insecure about love it

Teddy Girl: Wow ! This is amazing hair tip Thanks ❤️

Just Another Sherlockian: OMG my straight hairstyles have been saved! Thank you so much!!!

babyrae: omg i always thought i was crazy for trying to do this to my hair but its finally explained LOL

Char: THANK YOU THIS WAS SO SO HELPFUL!!

Jamie Fox: US did this back in the early 2000s. Used “bump it’s” & backcombing to give the same appearance. Some went to an extreme, but most achieved this “high cranial top” look you’re describing.

Will Ngo: uh.. not me obsessed with having a high cranial tops now lol

mai: Wow i'm amazed by this video it was really simple to understand! I believe I have a regular size cranial Top and curls which give some sort of natural volume but the next days after washing my hair, it tends to get flatter so I guess this tip comes in handy, thanks so much

Natasha Busono: Omg there are some great tips here! As a mixed kid, some of the Western beauty tricks don't always work on me. Thank you for this~~
