A Horse's Brush Might Just Be The Answer To Your Detangling Woes

Detangler horse brush

I remember when the Tangle Teezer* came out I could not wait to get to somebody’s Sallys to get one. Then I finally got it, used it and it was horrible for my fine hair.

Since then I tend to stay clear away from bandwagons unless I understand how the product works and how it will benefit my fine hair.

The other day I watched a video from Coilyheadedchick, a long time YouTube veteran and she had what she called “The best detangler brush”. If it were not for the fact that I typically trust her opinion I would have probably walked away from the idea of considering the brush.

The brush in question is similar to the one you would use to brush a horse’s mane. When you brush through the hair on the horse you don’t want it to snag, and you want to effectively get rid of the tangles without hurting the horse.

I know this sounds weird but it is the same idea when using the brush for curly hair. The brush has rows that separate and the ‘bristles’ are much longer and sturdier than the Tangle Teezer.

The reason the Tangle Teezer did not work is because the bristles were so close together and short, at least that’s what it was for me.

My fine hair just could not survive it! This brush is much easier to hold and the bristles are wide enough to prevent snags and flexible rows create movement that adjusts to the hair.

If your hair responds well to a denman brush* then this one should be awesome for you, and if you hated the Tangle Teezer* like I did then you should definitely try this one. You can find the brush on Amazon here or you can actually find it at a store geared towards horse supply’s.
