How To Fake Curly Bangs with Bobby Pins

amy maxineHave you ever wondered what you would look like with bangs? A bunch of us have. But after years of growing our curls, some of us are just not comfortable with the idea of grabbing a pair of scissors.

So what’s a curly girl to do? Well, if you’re looking for a quick and easy way (literally like two minutes) to fake a bang or fringe, keep reading. You may be in luck!

What You Need:

You only need about three or four bobby pins* to accomplish this look

What to Do:

Start this style off on clean hair. If your hair is prone to shrinkage, then you may want to stretch your hair and wait until it is dry. Grab a few pieces from the front of your head and bring them together.

You’ll notice that the part will change to somewhere in the middle. Size the section that you grab by bringing it in front of your face. Pull the section towards the back of your head, and use a bobby pin to secure the style near the root. Afterwards, pull the hair forward again towards your face.

If you notice that you need more hair, or that your faux bang isn’t thick enough, grab more pieces of hair and repeat with more bobby pins*. You can also take pieces from the side and pin them down the same way. This can give your look more layers and dimension. Once finished, fluff and play with your hair as you see fit.

The best part about these faux bangs are that it’s not permanent! There are no scissors involved, so you won’t have to worry about literally having to grow that section back if you hate it. Simply take down the bobby pins, shake, and you’re as good as new!
