Hello friends: today's video is super exciting because I have my friend here, Kylie hair feed by Kylie on Instagram. She is a salon owner at Sweet, Escape Beauty, retreat and she's. Also, an educator - and today we are gon na show you guys, four different holiday, hairstyles that'll be perfect for any of your holiday parties or your event coming up, and we have some really fun hair accessories to show you from bauble bar and anthropology. So it up further adieu - let's get into this, so I'm gon na go just underneath her crown area and do a little bit of teasing just to rough up that texture a little bit and give a little bit of boost in the crown. And then I comb lightly over and whenever you're doing one of these hairstyles. I love for the hair to be like not super squeaky clean, but to have a little bit of texture. So if it is washing day, you can always dirty it up with some dry shampoo, so it's gon na be a little half up and you can do it as high or as low as you want we're gon na make it just like right above her occipital. So right above that little that little knot in the back of your head, otherwise known as the occipital bone. So then this is going to be my anchor and then just tighten to your liking and I'm gon na go back in with my tail comb. So this is where you can adjust the volume, so I'm sticking the tail in and just pulling up holding the base of the pony and just lifting slightly to get a little bit more volume. So that's a little pro tip, so you go on either side and grab just a movement a little bit more hair, but I still want to leave some hair in front, so I'm gon na go under the pony for the hair and then I'm gon na anchor. It at the bottom and then this is where the bubble you pull on the hair inside, so you can like tighten it a little bit and then pinch and pull so the pinch and pull is where you get a little bubble effect cool bubble number one. So you just continue like as long as the hair is, so it can be anywhere from like two to even five bubbles, depending on how long your hair is and if you need her hair has pretty decent texture. But if you need more texture, I love using the da Vanessa, a dry texturizer spray. So for this you just shake it up and then spray and it helps the hairs, stick to one another. So if you have like little unruly hairs or if you need help with the pinching and pulling like if the hair is just too slick, it'll help kind of dirty it up a little bit for you, so don't wash your hair ever yeah, alright perfect! So these both are from bauble bar. These are literally so cute, so these are little gingerbread men all across the way, and you get four in a pack. These are velvet little clips and you get four different colors and these are also sold together and I just love velvet, I'm all about that velvet for Christmas, so we're actually gon na use both of these and kind of just do one every other and mix-and-match. I'M a huge fan of like mixing and matching clips and hair accessories too. So, throughout the video we're gon na show you how you can do that as well, and also I will have all the links in the description box, of where you can purchase all of the hair accessories. So maybe you just want one clip in each ponytail, or maybe you want to. I say we go extra and do to extra extra for the holidays. Yes, there only like a few times of the year when you can so you should always. Those clips are actually like, so lightweight, I was afraid of like yeah having a ton in there in it being heavy, and these ones from bah-bah-bah are really lightweight alright guys. So this is look number one I'll complete. What do you think alright? So for look number two we're gon na go a little more dressy and a little more festive. I got my party dress on and we're gon na throw we're going to throw in a really fun headband that we got from Anthropologie. You all know I'm a huge fan of headbands and every single on of my videos all over my Instagram, I'm always wearing headbands. This one is so fun because it's like metallic gold and it screams holiday. So it's not further ado. We'Re gon na do some braided. Goodness correct, yes, okay, perfect! This is a great braid for those of you that maybe have trouble braiding, because it's like almost your cheat sheet or is a way to use elastics that look like a fishtail braid or look like a braid without actually having to break so to start, I'm gon Na use the volume creator buy, of course, governess, so I'm gon na go underneath and she has a little bit of teasing going on from a style before, but I'm just going to put the hair on the opposite side, and you just shake the product on you. Guys can kind of see the dust that comes off of it and then you rub it into the scalp and that just gives you a nice light. Texture, that's not like too sticky or anything. It'S pretty much weight lifts in the hair. So then, I'm gon na go up and under again and just do a little tap and then rub that product and then the look is done yeah. So I'm just gon na start in the middle, with a little section of hair, make sure I have the volume that I want it and then I'm going to grab my clear elastic if you guys remember the Topsy tail from like a long time ago. This is the homemade version, so I'm basically going to split her pony in half. So come up right in the middle. I just split it with my tail comb and I'm gon na stick my thumb in my first finger through and then I'm going to grab the pony and just pull it right through. You can tighten the pony a little bit and you can see it kind of makes like a pretty braid look almost like a fishtail and then you're just gon na pinch and pull until you get it to exactly where you want it. So then that is the first one: I'm gon na grab hair from just on the outside and do another one right over the top of it. So with this, I'm only using the hair, I'm not grabbing hair from underneath I'm just using the hair from where I've grabbed both sides. And then I'm gon na go right over the top and grab my trusty elastic. And then I'm gon na go right up through again so thumb and first finger pull through. So then that goes over the top, so you're creating like a layered effect kind of like a waterfall braid look but with pull-through braids. So basically you guys you could keep this as the half up that it is right now you could stop right here and then, depending on how long your hair is, you could have like all of it out and it'd be done here. You can do literally whatever you want we're just gon na throw a sex dreams just so you can kind of see the way it looks this way and then we're gon na continue and braid all the rest of my hair and show you that final look too. So you can see kind of just it just dresses it up, and you have a half updo that took you. Maybe ten minutes, which is super cool yeah when I am at close to the end of the braid you're gon na, go through and make sure that you're hiding all of the elastic. So that means that you can like tighten the hair pinch and pull the hair. If you want to make it bigger, I am gon na take a piece from one of the sides and then I'm gon na wrap it around this clear elastic so over here, I'm just taking it from the left side and I'm just gon na wrap it. For this, I'm gon na take the bobby, pin I'm just gon na insert it on the back side and go straight up the pony and if it's messy totally fine, because this is kind of a messy dupe. So it just kind of like gives you like an undone ponytail look, but it hides the clear elastic which is cool and then I'm gon na finish off with our shimmering mist. So this is great just to add a little bit of shine. Maybe your going to your party, not just the shine of the headband and then I'm just gon na shake it and this stuff smells like cotton candy. I don't know, I forget what the scent is, but it's delicious. So then you can just spray the fringe there. You go, I know right all right and this is look number two all complete. Alright for look number three. We were calling this our party pony, so we are gon na. Do a Dutch braid down the center of my head and then, instead of going all the way, yeah we're gon na, throw it into a little ponytail and we're going to throw some fun accessories in this little scrunchie. Here is so cute. It'S a velvet bow, and I got this from headbands of hope. I did get this last year, but I'm almost positive and they have it again this year and if they don't, I will link some that are very similar and then we're gon na throw these little clips in from Anthropologie and they are just sparkly and so festive And we're gon na throw these guys somewhere along the sides to just jazz up the hairstyle, even more so for this style. I'M gon na start in the top and you can kind of remove any part line that they may have just because you're gon na kind of start it in the center and she does have a fringe which will be super cute with this too. But you can wear this without a fringe as well, so I'm gon na start with three sections, so it'll just be an inside-out braid, otherwise known as a ditch, so I'm gon na go underneath instead of over. So I'm gon na go this right side under the middle section into my left hand and then this left side under into the right. So then, I'm just continuing in the same motion on both sides, adding hair and then still going under the center section and then under the center section on the opposite side too. She has a good amount of hair, but you can even do this if you have finer hair, so I'm gon na go back in with my dry texturizing spray. I'M gon na spray it directly on the braid, and this is kind of an undone look as well. It'S like put together but kind of loose and free at the same time. So I'm just gon na pinch and pull I like to do a few sections and then I'm gon na switch to the other side and then you're gon na wrap it with the bow. Perfect for Christmas cute, it's a okay here is looking over three all complete, alright guys and for our last look, this one's actually super easy and super simple. As you can see, I already have my hair up. We'Re just gon na work from here. So tell us a little bit about what we're gon na do for this one. Yes, so this is an awesome look perfect for Christmas morning or if you have less than five minutes yeah, you could totally leave it just like it is in this Pony and jazz. It up with some fun things for sure or we're gon na show you a second option of a messy bun version. Yeah and both of these hair pieces right here are from bauble bar this one is like a silver pearl, but they do have like a traditional pro color too, which I love both and then I'm a huge fan of like chunky Clips, and this is the rainbow And it is just so cute, and actually both of these would be super fun for New Year's as well. So then, I'm gon na braid just kind of loosely just your traditional braid brief strand braid over the next and then I'm gon na pancake it out again and I'm just gon na pinch and pull and make it pretty big and messy. So the Messier, the better for this I'm gon na, tie it off with a clear elastic and sometimes what I like to do when you're doing like it in a bun is, I will put the clear, elastic and loop the ends so they're not like free, so They have kind of this like loop on it, so you don't have random hair sticking out. But if you do it's totally fine, because this is a messy dupe and if here was family on Christmas morning, they don't really care in your living room in your PJs. So I'm gon na use some bobby pins and I'm just gon na twist it around the front, so I'm gon na loop it around and then pin it underneath. So I just will use my bobby pins and for those of you who might not know the bendy side, I'm gon na put toward the hair yeah. Actually, for the longest time I use bobby pins upside down. Yes, I feel, like everyone did, so I'm just going all around the outside of this bun to be sure everything's covered and then I'm gon na use a little bit of our pliable paste. So this is great for flyaways, so, depending on your hair type and texture, I use about a pea-sized and I just rub it into my hands and it's a non sticky paste, it's just great for like taming flyaways, but we're also gon na put a clip back Here so it will be fabulous and then I'll take our cute rainbow clip here and I'm just gon na put it to where some of these hairs might fall out on the underside and then just clip it right in so then you have a cute look. That'S also functional and then on the front. You have two yeah so then we'll go around put the headband. Does that feel? Okay and then you can pinch and pull to make the braid like as full in places that you want it, and that brings us to the end of today's video. I hope you guys enjoyed our four holiday festive hairstyles. Thank you all so much for watching, and I hope that you found these tutorials helpful and definitely recreate them at home yeah.
