Christmas Tree Hairstyle Tutorial

Hi, I'm Laurie from here by Laurie, and I'm here with my daughter, hope, hi. We are so excited to be guest on princess, hairstyles, blog and YouTube. We are huge princess, hairstyles fan and love all the creative styles that they do. So it's such an honor to be here today, I'm going to be sharing my Christmas tree braid with you. This style is created using my hair by Lory, easy to a Christmas tree, braid kit available now on amazon.com. You will find everything you need to create this style, including step by step instructions, the ribbon hair elastics star for the top, and then you have your choice of three decorative options. So I've started by pulling her hair back at the top from the outer edge of her eyebrows angled. Back slightly to the middle of this top of the back of her head and I've secured it with an elastic the hair from this ponytail, I'm going to divide into two and I'm going to clip half of that off. I'M going to take the hair on this side and divide it into three sections. We are going to be doing a lace braid, so that means we're going to add in hair on one side as we braid, but not the other on both sides. We'Re going to make sure we're adding here in on this outer edge pulling here in from by her face. Well, the center section doesn't get any hair added in so we're going to start by taking the center section braiding it over then, on this outer edge, I'm going to come along by her face and pick up a section of hair smooth. It out add it to the Strand here and braid it to the middle. This side, don't add any here, just braid that to the middle now it's this sides turn we'll come along and pick up another section of hair now you'll notice. As I pick up the sections of hair, I'm not going all the way back to where the braid is going to sit. I'M hopping along here so we'll add that to this section, braid it in and I'm just going to continue braiding this way until I've braided in all the hair above her ear, and I want to stop my braids so that it's it's about an inch and a Half to two inches back from behind her ear and he's braided down at an angle. Now that I finished adding here in I'm, going to braid it out a few more stitches and then secure with an elastic one side of the Christmas tree is now braided. We'Re going to repeat the process on the other side before I do I'm going to take note of how many stitches I added in on this side, so that I can add in the same amount on the other side and keep the braid symmetrical. I usually end up with four to five, I'm just using the ornament kit in her hair today. If you have the ez do kit with the garland or the LED lights, you can see the video on my hair by Lori's YouTube channel with full instructions on how to put those in I'm going to take the green ribbon from my kit and come along now To her braids, I'm going to lift up this top stitch, take the end of the ribbon and pull it down through and on the other side. Let'S lift that top stitch. Take the other end of our ribbon and pull it down through. You want to make sure you're going down through rather than up. It ends up looking nicer and then straighten out the ribbon, so it lays night nicely and make sure that you're straightening your ribbon as you go along with lacing the style up, so that it's not twisted. Next, I'm going to pull my ribbon to make sure I've got an even amount on each side. Then I'm going to continually be crossing and lacing the ribbon through the outer edges of the braid. As I do so, it's going to be pulling the braid closer together and you're going to see the tree shape, forming you'll, see that as you lace, the bottom two braids are going to end up laying nicely next to each other you're just going to come along With another elastic and secure those two together, leaving the ribbon hanging underneath you're, going to form the base of our tree like this, then take your ribbon, bring it up and over and tie it so that it covers the elastic these two elastics that you first put In when you did each side, you can either push up so that they're going to be hidden by the ribbon or you can remove them our base tree style is done so now it's time to decorate it, I'm taking the star out of my kit. If you look at that back you'll see it's a coil and the way that it's going to hold in the hair is you're going to lay it here below the elastic above the ribbon and just twist it in so that it grabs the hair and secures it In place now, I'm going to take the ornaments out of my kit you're, also twisting hair gems, I'm going to begin by starting at the bottom of the braid, and I'm going to put them in the outer edges of the braid and then the rest. I'M going to be mixing in with the ribbon going up. Here'S the completed look with the ornaments. The style is so beautiful and elegant, and it can be dressed up really nicely with curls, so you can wear for more formal events or a casual party. This style is going to get you so much attention.
