We can all agree that 2021 has been quite the unexpected year in every aspect. Right britney spears is free, mullets made a massive comeback and dj khaled and fatrio started an only fan's account together, well fashion also had a big year. You know we finally can wear. No more clothes again, we can go outside instead of wearing the same sweatpants every day for a week with nowhere to go and in 2022. I really do think that we're gon na have even more time. Outdoors travel will hopefully pick back up same for parties. Restaurants, nightlife it's time to get dressed to the nines so that we can enjoy life again like we did in 2019, which seems like such a long time ago in a completely different world. In today's video, i'm gon na be giving you the best fashion trends for men's fashion in 2022, starting the list with maximalism, which is funny because we've never talked about this here on the channel. It'S always minimalism minimalist all of this right. Well, what is maximalism? It'S! The opposite, it's literally the opposite: it's the aesthetic of excess. Like it's more right. It'S like utilizing every inch of your clothing to show some type of something whether it's texture patterns, colors, bold designs, right, we've really seen this happening a lot in 2021 and it's going to continue in 2022.. It'S really not my style. I really don't think it looks good, but i go outside here in los angeles and most guys are wearing stuff like that, like they are wearing very bold everything printed shorts with printed shirts, with a printed hat graphic tee underneath, like it's just there's, there's a lot Going on, it's not really my style, but that's just the way it is so. This is going to be a big fashion trend in 22.. Next up big fits. What does that mean? Big fits. I, it literally means physically big, like just large baggy, look at justin bieber's campaign with balenciaga, for example right. These are big, fits it's like loose fitting clothing, and you know i've always been such a big fan of well tailored pieces like a suit of course, or like a nice pair of tailored chinos, but i will say i do appreciate this big fit vibe. I think it's a very cool fashion forward style and by the way, when i say big fits i'm not saying like just big t-shirts and big jeans, your essentials. Your fundamentals should still be nicely tailored, but you can add some statement pieces to show that you're fashion forward. I think i don't think i've ever seen so many brand collaborations before it's so cool to get two huge fashion, houses right fashion, designers and two dif completely different brands, put them together and see what they come up with, and we've seen that so much already i Mean we saw gucci and balenciaga right. I mean that was incredible. That was really cool with alessandro, michelle and and demna. They created their monogrammed art on each other's designs. I mean that was that was really cool. We even saw kim kardashian's skim, uh skim skins with uh fendi right, it's a women's line, but that was a really cool collaboration. We saw versace in fendi, we saw dior and sakai. We saw north face and gucci i mean supreme and like every brand out there. I think they've collaborated with pretty much everyone, but i think it's awesome. I think it's really cool to see these brands collaborating coming up with something completely out of the left field completely different. So let me know what you guys think should atos and forte series should we collab with different brands. Should we come up with really cool pieces that have never been done before? Let me know would love to think of something fun to do for you guys, which brands should we collab with, but yeah anyway, 2022. We'Re gon na have a lot of those collabs coming back number four, going back with the retro style. You know the 90s style trend is is here to stay for another year. I think this is the last year i think um, you know we. We had that trend of the 90s kind of start in beginning of 2020, and it really took off 2021 is still strong. 2022. I think this is when we start to see the 90s trend go away so we'll see for next year, but 2022. It'S gon na be pretty strong, so yeah we're talking about loose-fitting genes, we're talking about tie-dye, right, trucker, hats, what else middle parts you know there's i mean there's so much that is tied into this 90s trend. I think it's a really cool trend. It'S a really cool vintage vibes, just funny to think that the 90s is so so vintage, but yeah it's going to stay in the in 2022 and maybe go away in 23. number five on the list. Cargo pants will definitely be trendy in 2021 and it's funny because not too long ago, maybe three four years ago, you heard me here on this channel, say yo stop wearing cargo pants. It is not the vibe, it does not look good. You look like a dad blah blah blah well now they're cool, i'm talking about the modern cargo pants by the way, not like the old khaki. You know with like a bunch of pockets like the really thick pockets. The modern cargo pants like these here can represent a sauce, has a bunch of cargo pants there as well. I think they look really cool. It'S a major street wear street fashion trend right now, and obviously it's very practical number six. I know we talked about big fits, but just so you know your essentials. Your basics should definitely fit perfectly, so those are going to be also trending in 2022.. You know a lot has changed uh in in terms of your the fitting of your clothes right, and even this. This is oversized right, but this isn't. These are my basics. These aren't my my fundamentals in my closet. I'M talking about your t-shirts, i'm talking about your long sleeves crew, necks, those still need to look really well tailored. They need to fit. You perfectly now, there's a difference here, i'm not telling you guys to go skin tight. That'S definitely not trendy right now, skin tight. Anything is off trend completely off right now, pants. You know, shirts make sure that you're wearing things that fit you well, but they're, not oversized when you are in a professional setting, because that is still going to be trending in 2022.. Another trend for 2022 is men's. Jewelry now i know a lot of you guys are probably like hey. What do you mean? I'Ve been wearing jewelry forever? Yes, you have - and i have definitely even though today for some reason i decided not to wear any rings, but i do have a watch on, but a lot of guys were still really not cool with it. A lot of guys are still like. I can't wear rings. I can't wear a necklace. I don't really like anything on my wrist nowadays. More and more guys are okay with it, guys want to wear accessories, because they know that it is missed. Real estate missed opportunity to show your personality to show your fashion sense. I know for a fact, when you're, adding accessories and jewelry to your outfits, you're also adding character, you're, adding your personality, you're, adding details, conversation starters right, it's like! Oh! What is that where'd? You get that i, like your rings. I like your watch. Those are all things that we like to talk about, that it's small talk but they're they're icebreakers so give yourself that opportunity to receive those icebreakers from other people as well and wear accessories. Wear jewelries in 2022, even if you're one of those guys were like. Ah, i don't know, if rings, look good on me, try it just wear for a week or two and see how it goes next on the list, plaid and flannels are not going out of style in 2022. You'Re. Definitely gon na see those they might be a little bit more oversized. They might have a lot more colors and be more bold than before, but they're here to stay, and i actually really like that style. I, like plaid shirts, i really like the the coats with the plaid you know patterns. I think it looks really good and that's another style that was really popular in the 90s. Of course it's going to be popular in 2022 as well now another style that was not so popular in 2019 and it became very popular in 2020. Is your sweats your comfortable threats right in 2020? That'S what everybody was wearing in 2019 people were still wearing skinny jeans. Now this is going to continue in 2022, in my opinion, and why do i think so? Because it's comfortable, because i think people are still working from home and that's gon na just continue to go on for a long time. People want to be comfortable and with the big fit trend it just being, it just means that you can wear. You know bigger sweatpants you're, not really looking for like the super tailored sweatpants anymore, because the bigfits are in so you can actually get away with wearing big, loose, fitting sweatpants and somehow still make them look good, like you know the justin bieber balenciaga ad, for example. It looks good, it's not the you know, not the typical sweatpants that i would recommend here on the channel, but i do think they look really good. Of course, that's his personal style and you should have your own personal style as well. Fashion trend number 10, sweater vests man, something that i never really thought i would enjoy wearing and literally in new york. Two three weeks ago i was wearing one from abercrombie and fitch and i loved it so sweater vests are here to stay. They have that 90s vibe, they have even the oversized one looks you know they look pretty good, so highly recommend you get one for this winter time and even for the end of the winter towards springtime, because it is going to be a major trend, guys make Sure to hit that subscribe, button below and join the youtube family.
