Top eight denim trends of 2022, who else is a denim lover through and through? Please leave a comment down below if you love wearing jeans as much as i do, i have loved wearing denim. To be honest with you guys ever since i was a little girl, my mom said like heather, all the little girls wanted to wear. You know the frilly little pink dresses. Well, not me. I always wanted to wear jeans. I have been an influencer for almost 10 years and a stylist for about 11 years, so, needless to say, i have tons and tons of denim. I recommend denim all the time to you guys to my readers to my viewers. Why? Because not only do i live in denim, literally almost every single day, which is why i'm always on the hunt for the next best pair. But i'm also looking for you guys as well. Because that's why i'm here to help getting dressed so much easier for each and every one of you every single day. I'M going to be sharing the top eight denim trends of 2022, like i said, along with my personal favorite jeans, and all of them will be styled for you guys and everything that i'm wearing in today's video will be linked down below in my description box and If there's ever anything on the expensive side, as always, i will always be linking a steel version as well, because i believe, no matter what your budget you should be able to shop on my channel. So without further ado, let's get started with the hottest denim of 2022.. Also make sure that you listen to this entire video, because the last denim trend is actually one that i'm kind of disappointed about and honestly it is a denim trend that i don't think i will be wearing, because i did want to point this out. Don'T think that you have to wear all of these denim trends, i would say pick one or two that look best on your body type and stick with those one to two trends and then rock those denim silhouettes. Because, let's be honest, not all of these denim silhouettes look good on everybody and, like i said the last denim trend that i'm about to talk about is absolutely like literally. I was so disappointed that it was one of the top trends in 2022. So definitely stick around for that. So the number one denim trend currently for 2022 and remember these are in no particular order. Is the very dark wash denim like that? Dark blue denim. I will say it's not one of my favorite denim trends, but i will try it. I did pick up these gold sign jeans when i was in austin a couple weeks ago visiting my daughter - and i love these jeans because they're super high waisted. In fact, they have a 12 and a half inch rise. So yes, high waisted denim is still a big trend in 2022. So these definitely they're high waisted they're, more of a modern skinny jean so they're not like that super tight, jegging jean, which is definitely out for 2022.. But again these have that darker wash there's not a lot of distressing. They don't really look vintage inspired and then i just paired them with this under sixty dollar, simple black cut out top. I love this top it's from nordstrom, it's very reasonably priced. I love this sexy detailing on the cutout in the chest area and i think this top would be fabulous for a date night or a girls night out, and then i obviously tucked the top in because i think that's a key element whenever you're styling your denim And you want to really dress up your denim, always either tuck your top all the way in or do the infamous half tuck. Okay denim trend. Number two are boot cut jeans, so these were trending really hard back in the 90s and early 2000s, and i will say i am a fan of this silhouette. It is definitely making a comeback in 2022.. I will say this: i think that the flare in the boot cut jean is honestly the most flattering denim of all the silhouettes and the reason is, it actually has the longest silhouette from the top, especially if they're high-waisted these are high-waisted. They have, i think, an 11 inch rise. They hit you right above the belly button and then the flare jean as long as it comes to the ground. So whenever i have my jeans hemmed, if they are flares, i always have them hemmed. Just a hair off the ground, i mean like a quarter of an inch off the ground. I think that's the best most flattering way to wear your flare jeans they're, going to make your legs literally look crazy long, because again, the hemline almost hits the ground and then the waistline comes above the belly button, creating a very long silhouette which is going to Elongate your legs, making you look taller and slimmer, so i'm a big fan of these anina bean jeans. I did just purchase these a couple weeks ago and i've already worn them a ton. I really love this slit up the center ankle. I think that's very sexy. Very cool very fashion forward, and it does make these jeans a bit unique and a bit unexpected. I did a gold foil cardigan. This would be fabulous to wear on new year's eve or just to a fun holiday party. It'S from express it's very reasonably priced. In fact, it's um 30 off right now, making it under a hundred dollars. So what a steal for such a beautiful cardigan and then i just did a simple black bodysuit. This one is also from express around 48 dollars. So such a steal, i honestly own this bodysuit in white, black and nude, because it is that good. I went with these beautiful ysl heels with the gold tip you guys, i'm obsessed with these heels. I absolutely love them. I do think they're almost sold out, but i will be linking a similar version as well down below you know. Really any pointy toe shoe will look fabulous with these flare jeans by anina bing. Okay, the next denim trend that we're seeing in 2022 is actually been around for quite some time now and that is ripped denim yes, ripped denim has been in style like i said for quite some time, and it is definitely here to stay in 2022., my favorite Pair of ripped jeans are these: a gold e jeans, they're called the fin fen. It'S actually one of their latest denim silhouettes. A goldie is one of my absolute favorite denim designers. They offer amazing denim. It looks like designer denim. It feels like designer denim and it is designer denim. However, it's not like that premium designer, so the price point is actually pretty good for an amazing pair of jeans. These are a high waisted sort of slim straight leg denim, but the reason they're different than your regular straight leg is that they are tapered at the ankles, so they're, very flattering and very slimming. This is a really cool light, wash vintage inspired. I love these jeans. I think they're fabulous and let me say this about ripped denim. If you don't feel comfortable wearing ripped denim, that's okay by all means you certainly don't have to wear it. I will link this same exact silhouette in the non-ripped version, but if you do feel confident and amazing, when you wear ripped jeans, i say rock them. I personally feel awesome when i wear when i wear ripped denim, so that is why, at age 48, i still wear ripped jeans. I paired it with this amazing leather top by alc. This is like the ultimate date night top. I love it. I love anything. Leather and leather is another big trend that we're going to be seeing in 2022 and then i just topped it off with a fabulous faux fur jacket. This one is by a paris and then just a classic black pump. So love this look for a sexy date, night or girls night out. You could also wear these jeans super casual with a simple t-shirt and some sneakers as well. If you wanted to wear them like on the weekends or during the week, just to be super casual. Okay, another pair of ripped jeans are actually the ones that i'm wearing right now, and these are probably one of my top two favorites from this edit. These are by katie, and this is called the danelle fit or danielle fit. I'M not sure how you're how they're pronouncing that, but i love these they're extremely high waisted, at least a 12 and a half inch rise, so they're going to make your legs look insanely long. Obviously you can see the rips in the knees. This is considered a straight leg silhouette, so i love this silhouette of jean because it is very flattering these jeans again, i think they're very slimming, because they're so high-waisted - and these are very fashion for they've - been seen on a lot of celebrities and mega influencers. So these are definitely the jeans to get your hands on in 2022 and then i paired them with this amazing, 48 dollar rust, color tank that i'm wearing right now. This is available on the revolve website, but i'll be linking it down below. In my description box, i always love mixing highs and lows. So you'll see me wearing a very inexpensive top, maybe with some designer shoes and then just like some average priced denim. Because again i really love mixing highs and lows. So love this 48 tank. It has got a little bit of sparkle to it. It does come in gold as well, so i think it would be a fabulous top to wear on new year's eve or to a holiday party. You could wear it alone, like i have here, because literally, even though it's like mid-december, it's 82 degrees in dallas, texas, today, so i'll probably be wearing it alone tonight, to dinner and just sitting out on the patio sipping some wine, but if it were a bit Cooler, you could always wear this fabulous matching camel leather jacket over this look to add a bit of interest to the look, because i always say adding a third layer is a surefire way to take any look to the next level, and then i just paired them With these fabulous leopard pumps again, i think straight leg denim looks best with pointy toe shoes, whether that's a pump or a flat. Okay, denim trend. Number four is the 90s vibe. So that's basically like the high waisted straight leg: denim and a gold e has nailed the 90s vibe denim. These are called the 90s pinch waist. I love these jeans because they are high-waisted with a straight leg. I love just the minimal rip on the knee. It'S more like a medium wash, so i think this wash can certainly be worn all year round. I really love these jeans they're also very comfortable. They are a bit on the baggier side, so i did size down in these jeans now, if you wanted them to be a little bit more baggy because definitely bag, your denim is trending hard in 2022, then you could take your regular size and then you or You could even size up, then i did this black jockey bra. This is a very comfortable bra. I wore it as a top. I was really trying to have some fun with my look this day and stuff a little bit out of my comfort zone. I certainly wouldn't wear this anywhere like during the day. This is definitely a nighttime look, but that's another thing that was trending really hard in 2021 and, i think, will definitely carry over in 2022 and that is oversized blazers. So this is a fabulous oversized blazer by lamarck. It is a beautiful brown leather shade. It also comes in black in case you don't love chocolate brown, but i'm certainly a fan of chocolate brown and i'm really loving this oversized blazer. I think it looked fabulous with this really cool bra top and these high-waisted 90s denim that are definitely going to be trending really hard in 2022.. These these are called the 90s pinch ways like i said they do come in. Multiple washes as well, and they do have a version with no rips which i will be linking down below too. In case you don't love wearing ripped, denim, okay, straight leg, denim number five - that is denim trend, number five and i would say if you only add one pair of new jeans to your denim collection in 2022. Let it be a pair of straight leg denim, because i think that is definitely the hottest. The number one denim trend, the denim that we're seeing on most everyone currently, whether that be a celebrity, an influencer or just your everyday gal on the street. The straight leg denim is definitely where it's at. So i love straight leg denim. The key is to make sure that they're high waisted, because that is going to make you look taller and slimmer, because it's going to elongate your legs. So these are by mother they're called the rider mother makes tons of different silhouettes of denim, and the writer is by far my favorite silhouette, because it is high, waisted and also again that straight leg. So they do a really good job of making. You look taller and slimmer. I love this medium vintage inspired wash. These are also very comfortable because they do have some stretch in them so again, like seriously so comfortable. I can wear these all day long work from home in these jeans and they're just fabulous. I paired them with this under 100 rust, colored cardigan - that has these really fun cutouts in the shoulders and then i topped it with a black leather jacket and then my go-to leopard pumps that i absolutely love. These jeans also come in the same exact, fit called the rider in a lighter wash. I love this wash too. This will bring. This will carry you very well into spring and summer. I tend to wear the lighter wash jeans in the spring and summer, but i certainly do wear them all year round so again, high waisted straight leg, with some stretch in them, so they really really do hold their shape well and they're extremely comfortable if you're between Sizes, i would suggest sizing down in these jeans because they do have a bit of stretch to them like i said - and i just paired them with this amazing ivory sweater and then this under a hundred dollar cardigan from nordstrom it's by blank nyc, it's fabulous. I love these neutral, colors sort of marbled. Together this cardigan is cozy, it's chic and for under a hundred dollars you seriously can't go wrong. I personally love wearing straight leg, denim with a heel, whether that be a mule or a pointy toe heel. I chose to wear these under 100 vince komodo mules with these fabulous mother jeans, and i love that i just will say this when you're wearing straight leg, denim or baggier denim. I really wouldn't pair those with sneakers, because i think that can end up looking frumpy. So just kind of keep that in mind. You certainly don't have to wear a high heel, but i would recommend wearing like at least a two and a half inch kitten heel or a three to three and a half inch heel when you're wearing your straight leg. Denim or your baggie or denim okay, denim trend, number six is faded black denim. So that is a trend. That'S actually been around for quite some time and it's definitely still holding its place in 2022, and i will say that faded black denim is probably one of my favorite denim colors to wear because it is so edgy. It is so sexy and also very fashion forward. So love wearing black denim honestly, i wear black denim in faded black denim all year round. So these are the a gold e fen jean they're, the same jeans as the ripped, a gold e fins i had on earlier, but these are just a solid faded black. Jean with no rips in them, so if you're somebody who doesn't wear who doesn't love wearing ripped denim, these are for you they're they're, high waisted they're, a straight leg. But again these are tapered at the ankles. So i think they have a very slimming effect because they are tapered at the ankle. I love them, they're, very vintage. Inspired and again i love this edgy faded black denim. I paired them with this rust, colored bodysuit. This one is from nordstrom under a hundred dollars. I think it looks amazing alone, but it also looks fabulous worn under this classic and timeless black blazer, and then i went with a low heel, as you can see. Like i said pairing. Your jeans with heels, is a great way to dress them up, but it doesn't have to be a high heel. These 98 dollar heels by shoots, i think, have a two and a half inch heel, so they're, very wearable and very comfortable and seriously the price 98 dollars. You can't beat that okay, another pair of faded black jeans, that i love these are by abercrombie and fitch they're, a high waisted slim straight leg jean. They have very minimal rips in the knees. I personally love the distressing because i love wearing ripped denim. As you guys know, these are very reasonably priced coming in at under a hundred dollars. So what a steal for such a cool pair of jeans, the waist is very high, so they're very slimming. They do have a little bit of stretch in them as well, so they're also very comfortable. They do come in this exact fit in a light, wash version which, which i love, i'm really a big fan of abercrombie and fitch denim. They fit like designer denim. However, they're a fraction of the price - and then i paired these jeans with a fun anina being graphic tee, also under 100, and then this is a fabulous faux fur jacket again with that rust color, it's also 98 dollars. So what a steal for such a great jacket that you can wear in the fall and winter time, and then i did pair these with some black booties. So these are a great jean to wear with booties. You would want to put the booties underneath the jeans and then i kind of cuffed, the jeans. Actually, i think i might have left them uncuffed. They honestly look good either way. So that's a good thing about straight leg: denim is you can wear it in the fall and winter with booties as well? And what you do is you just tuck the ankle of the boot underneath the jeans and then that way, they're not like fighting together, because that's another thing i've found when i'm trying to wear boots with jeans. If i wear my jeans too skinny the boot, the ankle boots just never look right. Okay, the next denim trend that i want to talk about is the baggier denim. So definitely we have been seeing that in 2021 and it's here to stay in 2022., i'm telling you the baggier, the denim the better. So i'm not like a huge lover of baggy denim i'll admit it. So what i do in order to sort of tip toe into this trend is i'll find a pair of baggy jeans and then i will size down one or two sizes, so i still sort of get that baggy silhouette but they're not like as baggy. So that's what i did here with these kusabi jeans. These are called the playback jean by kusabi. This is a really cool brand, i'm pretty sure they're out of australia, intermix carries them. Neiman marcus carries them. I think nordstrom carries them as well, but i love these jeans because they are very high waisted but, as you can see, they are a baggier silhouette. They were longer, but i did take them to my tailor and have them hemmed right above the ankle bone, because i think, like the baggier silhouette and the straight leg, jean is the most flattering when it hits right at the ankle bone or right above the ankle. Dome, i love this light, wash very vintage inspired, so these jeans are amazing, again very high waisted, so they're actually slimming, and then i paired them with this 65 tan cut out sweater. This is a great sweater. It looks amazing alone, but you could also wear like a white blazer, a white leather jacket over this top. If you wanted to, i love this neutral color again, another style tip anything neutral is always going to look more expensive than it really is okay. These might be my favorite new pair of jeans of the edit, and this brings me to denim trend number eight, which is vintage. Inspire washes with slits on the sides or in the front of the jean. So, as you will notice, i showed you, those anina being jeans a couple pairs ago and they had the slit up the front so they're not only on trend because they are a flare, but they also have that really cool slit. Now these are by eb denim they're vintage, inspired a very cool light, wash with no rips in them. But what they do have is a really cool slit up the side, and then they left the hem like that raw edge hem, which is very on trend and very cool right now. These are very fashion forward. I absolutely love the silhouette. It'S like that flare. You know boot cut silhouette, so very slimming. You might ask: why is it so slimming well because they're, high waisted, and also they come right above the floor, so they're going to do a great job of elongating your legs, like literally, i think these jeans make your legs look miles miles long. I put them on my instagram last week: i've already sold a ton of them so definitely get your hands on them. If you love them as much as we do because, honestly, like i said, they're incredibly slimming and they will make your legs look miles long, i paired him with this fabulous oversized white blazer by cinca set. It is vegan leather. So i love it. It'S a beautiful white color and again i love wearing white, even in the fall and winter, and then i paired it over just a strapless gold bodysuit. It'S a very sort of champagne subdued gold. It'S under a hundred dollars available on the revolve website and again everything. I'M talking about will be linked down below in my description box, and then i just went with the same metallic pumps by sarah flint that i'm really loving right now: okay, the last denim trend and the one we've all been waiting for and this one is definitely One, i'm not sure i'm gon na wear in 2022., the jury's still out, i'm not sure yet, but that is low rise, denim and not just low-rise denim, but low-rise baggy denim. So i don't own a pair of low-rise baggy denim out of all the jeans. I own, i will admit i don't have any low-rise denim. Why? Because i don't like it, i don't think it looks good on me. I think it makes my legs look shorter. I just don't love it. So again, i'm not a fan of low-rise denim and i'm especially not a fan of low-rise baggy denim. So i think this is one denim trend.
